Could we see a lil explanation of Poof and Goldie’s first kiss? As well as Foop and Anti-Marigold? :D

Hello, thank you so much for this Ask! I apologize for letting it sit in my inbox so long; I was on Tumblr / Fairly OddParents hiatus last year <3

[Long post, still annoyed with the "Adding a Read More might just totally delete your stuff" situation]

Officially Poof and Goldie had their first kiss in the episode "Love Triangle." They kissed during the play as Mr. Cookie and Princess Sunshine and they kiss again when they slip out for ice cream at the end.

They're kids so they have a very playful view of everything, but they're always super close as they get older. I definitely see them having the vibe of "lifelong neighbors who genuinely care about each other and they're physically affectionate and play board games and snuggle on the couch watching movies all the time."

The Poof / Goldie relationship is definitely something that adults looked at and went "Aw, how cute, these innocent kids don't know any better" [read: will o' the wisp possessiveness]. People tolerated them hanging out when they were super young, but the older they got, the more uncomfortable people got with it. Things started morphing from "Cute neighborhood kids" to "Um, Cosmo and Wanda, why are you letting your son hang out with a girl who will get the ability to paralyze him with her saliva after puberty and who will probably drag him underground as her captive :/ ?"

Cosmo and Wanda were always a little uneasy about Goldie, not entirely sure how to approach that situation. They didn't want to judge Goldie for the biology and history of her entire species, but they got increasingly nervous as Poof got older and she became a serious romantic option for him instead of just a friend.

-> Cosmo and Wanda tried to set some boundaries (as seen in the 130 Prompt "Opinion" when they tell him not to take Goldie to the dance (For extra context, this takes place during the war era where Fairy and Anti-Fairy World were divided). I do think I wrote Wanda as a little too harsh in this piece, but it was years and years ago so I'm okay with that.

In the end however, she and Cosmo do talk about it and agree that they would rather Poof choose who he wants to be with and that they aren't going to decide for him if his relationship will hurt him. After all they eloped and cut ties with their families for 10k years because of it. They don't want Poof to cut ties with them... Things just get increasingly complicated for a lot of reasons that aren't just "Goldie could be a dangerous wisp" and are more along the lines of "No, Goldie blatantly is stressing Poof out to the point that he's regularly crying and hiding and freaking out, that's the issue here."

Teen years are really rough for Poof, he's a sensitive kid.

So as for the question, I'd say that if they remember it, Poof and Goldie would consider the play to be the setting of their first kiss, but those memories are probably suuuuper blurry by the time they're older. I don't think they tightly define their relationship with milestones like kisses, but they do have them:

According to my notes, one of the big moments in their relationship was when the power went out at school and Goldie comforted him until it came back on

There's another note that they were working on a school project together once when it started storming so they had to stay in a dark cave overnight.

I've always headcanoned Poof with a fear of the dark that never quite went away after the "Lights Out" episode. I think being tormented regularly as a kid by Foop and Crocker didn't make it any easier; he gets some pretty scary things in his head when it's quiet and he's left to his thoughts.

I also write him with insomnia. Poof has it rough sometimes sldkfj.

Officially, Poof and Goldie both consider their first real romantic relationship kiss to be at the saucerbee dugout. Just kind of went for an evening walk, got some snacks, and wandered over to the school's field while talking, then shared a few kisses there. They've snuck back to have a lot of kisses there over the years; lots of good memories for them.

Things are complicated because Poof and Goldie really like each other but they both have really bad anxiety and they're also celebrity kids under constant judgment from the public </3 They'd like to stay together, they're just confused and unsure how feasible it is in the long-term, so they tend to speedrun the relationship out of fear that it will fall apart and they'll miss out if they don't.

Goldie's constantly walking the tightrope of trying to be her people's ambassador and follow wisp culture as a respectable thing, but also confused and torn because wisp culture hasn't been around for very long and also it seems to stress people out so she's constantly confused about whether it's okay to be part of that culture and she's always questioning herself and her instincts and it's rough. I love them tho :')

In the 130 Prompt "Temptation," Anti-Marigold claims she and Foop shared their first kiss in the cupboard under Crocker's kitchen sink. The backstory for this is that Foop came to help Crocker set up a Valentine's Day trap for Cupid. Foop's heart was never actually in it and he just wanted to hang out with Crocker because Crocker is his friend. Anti-Marigold [Kelsia under age 150k] tagged along as a friend, but in typical V-day episode fashion, Foop's lack of interest in the project and the presence of his friend in a romantic environment got him a little distracted and he kissed her.

It was a pretty simple situation for a simple kiss, but it's definitely that moment that he made the official mental shift towards "Maybe Kelsia can be MY close friend because Goldie isn't that nice to me anyway."

He never told anyone, especially not Poof or his parents, but I like to think Kelsia told Goldie. Goldie's never cared much about Kelsia - As in, Poof has to care about Foop and keep mental tabs on him because of Foop's role in politics and because Foop has tried to kill him on multiple occasions, but Kelsia is just Some Girl In The Woods to Goldie - but Kelsia definitely looks up to Goldie and is slightly desperate for her approval. Adult Anti-Marigold would never admit that, but it's one of her character traits that haunts her actions... She'd like to be a "good girl" in the hopes that Goldie will tell her thanks someday for like... being normal and not trying to kill her.

Foop and Anti-Marigold are aware of each other as they grow up. They went to school together for a while, but she dropped out and got a job at a sandwich shop on the border of Fairy and Anti-Fairy World. Foop makes an effort to say hi to her when he sees her and they hang out on occasion, but she was raised by her sister Anti-Zinnia [and sister's infrequent boyfriends] and didn't exactly have parents who could help schedule playdates or anything like that, so their interactions are kind of sporadic. They definitely saw each other mostly at school and everything after she dropped out was a deliberate effort. She brought him sandwiches sometimes.

Anti-Marigold deals with a lot of imposter syndrome and just general feelings that she's not good enough for Foop and that he's not interested in her (She's also ace and he's aro but they live in a world where they didn't really get exposed to those terms or concepts so they have to figure things out on their own). She's a little stubborn and doesn't like to bend over backwards for him, but she can be coerced because she's pretty soft and doesn't like upsetting anyone. She grew up without solid parental figures, so Anti-Marigold's entire life is about teaching herself how she feels, what her boundaries are, and if it's okay to talk about those things tbh.

I'd say that their first kiss when they're older took place after a sweet outing they went on together, probably something like rotten caramel apples and bitter chocolate drinks, before he walks her home and kisses her on the doorstep. A little more old-fashioned and dignified, which is fitting for an upper-class kid compared to Poof's rough and tumble dugout kisses. tbh they probably went grocery shopping too, they're pretty chill and comfortable around each other... with sprinkles of discomfort when they hit certain topics they don't like discussing. Foop really dislikes speaking directly about their relationship and he'll avoid it as much as possible.

Foop and Anti-Marigold have a completely different vibe than Poof and Goldie do, but they have a lot of their own struggles. They like each other, but Foop absolutely sees her as more of a secret girlfriend than a public girlfriend. When he's with her then he wants them to be boyfriend/girlfriend (Holding hands when they walk, just hanging out and enjoying each other's company), but he also doesn't want to take her out on dates. He'll totally binge-watch shows with her and will absolutely get groceries with her, but he'll bolt if he gets the sense that there's an expectation to take her out and entertain her or give her the chance to reject him... He has a complicated relationship with being admired, hated, and rejected.

Foop never actually gets over his crush on Goldie and it's something he struggles with throughout his post-puberty years. There's a scene in the upcoming story "Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Pixies" where teen Goldie seeks Foop out to confess that she feels like she's wasting her time in school, she feels heavily judged by everyone because of her culture, and she's considering dropping out like her counterpart did. She deliberately went to him instead of Poof because she did feel like she could be a little more open about it with him... They are friends from similar touchy-feely cultures. Foop genuinely does see their relationship as platonic... He just occasionally has moments where he stares at her like "Dang, she's cute" and then he has to remind himself she's not interested in him.

-> There's a scene in an upcoming 130 Prompt ("Denial") where he does confess some of his feelings. Goldie points out that it's a completely normal part of fae biology to fantasize about your crush's counterpart - having counterparts often leads to you wondering what your "other self" is doing and that's just an accepted part of Fairy life - and Foop reflects that his real crush might be on Goldie and he might only like Anti-Marigold because of that, instead of the "more traditional" assumption that Anti-Marigold would be more to his preferences. Rough.

-> In "Temptation," Foop tries explaining this to Anti-Marigold but she starts feeling sick when she tries imagining herself falling for Poof. She sees Poof as a sweaty jock and she can't imagine herself with him. Which is pretty funny because she and Poof are actually great friends- he did a painkiller charm on her in "All I Ever Wanted" and we'll get to see some more of their dynamic in later 130 Prompts like "Happy Holidays." I have a lot of prompts partially written and I'd love to share them, but sadly stories need to go at least a little in order for proper context, even when it's for a one-shot project that jumps around the timeline. Someday...

I love writing the celebrity teens arc because every single dynamic is gold. You've got:

Poof and Foop, counterparts who tolerate each other only out of mutually assured destruction

Poof and Goldie, doomed lovers juggling celebrity expectations, species stereotypes, and constant anxiety

Goldie and Anti-Marigold, the wild go-getter and her quiet shadow who takes the brunt of consequences without speaking up

Foop and Anti-Marigold, a reluctant royal and his mistress of convenience in a relationship he has to maintain to prevent future awkwardness in case their counterparts have a kid

Foop and Goldie, tragically similar in cultural background and political expectations but drastically different in their emotional needs and personal goals

Poof and Anti-Marigold, laid-back BFFs who have nothing in common background-wise but everything in common with those personal goals and emotional needs. Bro / soul sister energy.

And then on top of this there's Hiccup who has his own views on everything, so that's complicated

Also Whistle exists too but he's not much of a celebrity and he's just there because he wants their attention; it's funny

I love these kids, love my takes on them and the worldbuilding I get to play with there <3

Mike x Reader

Mike Morton. One of the shining stars of the Hullabaloo circus. A man with humour, looks and wits. Popular and loved by everyone. Yet here you were. Uncomfortable by his presence.

Being one of the introverted kind, you sat on your spot of the long dinning table., fidgeting with your fingers as you waited for the food to be served. Lately you have been getting more attention from the acrobat as you'd enjoy. Him being today's 'servant' didn't make it any better as he kept on squirming around you. Asking if 'm'homie' needed more water or a softer chair. You barely spoke to him yet he acted so overly friendly, trying to stir up at least a decent conversation with you. It was admirable of him as he always managed to dig up a new small talk topic once your voice quiet down. But it still raised confusion and suspicion up.

You didn't belong into the 'manors favourites' as one would call the characters which received the most attention from the owner of the manor. They'd be giften skins and accessoires more frequently or be asked to join matches more often than the rest.

By all honesty ? You didn't mind that at all. Being in the spotlight made you feel nauseous, so you rather stay undercover and hang out with the less 'popular' members of the patch up family. It made you feel at ease to have just a tiny group of people whose company you enjoy. With them, you open up your small petals and go into full bloom, just like a flower which receives the right amount of sunshine.

Yet you were here, cowering away in your parka. Pulling up your petals closer to your core in hopes to hide. Nodding politely and thanking the blonde for every little thing.

The man himself just smiled in return, yet his smile always looked about to flatter away with every new word of gratitude from your lips. Something was not satisfying him and you could feel it by the shiver which went down your neck as he left back to the kitchen.

A few minutes later the door busted open with Mike juggling some fruits, accompanied by a chuckling José who was on butler duty as well, along with Fiona who just enjoyed the view while they placed down the silver tablets full of delicacies onto the coated wooden surface.

Once everything found their right spot, the acrobat once again stood next to the kitchen door, announcing the chefs of tonight’s feast.

„A round of applause for our amazing kitchen fairies, William and Helena~“

With that, clapping and whistling from Kevin, painted the air once more in a positive colorful atmosphere.

You were about to grab a bit of salad and the dish which caught your attention from the very first moment on, when you felt a hand on your shoulder along with a warm breath tickling your ear, followed by the gentle voice of the acrobat.

„If you need anything, please don't feel shy to ask your personal butler, Hamfrey~“

Motioning to himself, Mike gave you a quick wink and seated himself to the other side of the table. You really started to sweat a bit as you weren't used to such close contact with anyone besides some of your closest friends which were far away from here, waiting for your return.

Through half of the dinner, you had some small and energetic discussions with Lucky who sat next to you. Emma soon joined you as well as you discussed the very painful after-match marks you would get from getting the spiked wire wrapped around your body. Laughs and groans were streaming from your small circle which swirled in with the other heated discussions.

On the other side of the table, a pair of sparkly gold blue eyes watched. A pout visibly formed on his lips. Eyebrows furrowed. What is it that makes you feel so open with the others, yet the goldy-lock himself, couldn't give you ? For a while now, Mike has felt a bit bothered by your refusal to open up to him. You peaked his interest when you arrived at the manor. He can't put a finger on it though, why exactly you have been the center of his attention. He just knew that he wanted to see more than the reserved team member who shyed away from him all the time.

Dinner was filling and delicious. You thanked everyone for the meal and were about to bring your dishes away as well as the ones from your seat neighbours as you had cleaning duty today. Since your other partners had a match to prepare for and the other survivors refused to do duty outside their assigned dates, you just ended up by yourself in the kitchen.

Very soon the laughter and noises died out so you assumed it would be the best time to wipe the table clean. As you walked out with a napkin in your hand, you were surprised to see Mike himself, still sitting on his chair. Balancing his head on his palm, he gazed outside of the window which was drowned by black, by the night's darkness.

„Mr Morton, you are still here ?“

Mike's gaze turned lazily to the source of the words. You were expecting some kind of tantrum for you using his last name again to address him as he would usually do, yet he kept quiet and hummed.

„Would you...be so kind to raise your elbows for a bit ? I just need a quick swipe-„

Without jokes or further questioning, Mike obliged to the request and leaned back on his chair for you. Seeing him so silent was surprising, if not a bit frightening. You could sense something felt off and that he might need a bit of cheering up time himself. So once you were done gathering crumbs, you turned your attention back to him.

„C-could you...lend me a hand in the kitchen ? Washing the piles of dishes by myself will take a bit long and I could really need a helping hand. If you don't mind...“

The blondes eyebrows arched up at your request, not used of you asking him for his help. He just trailed behind you like a puppy into the four walls of the kitchen. Grabbing a sponge, he started to wipe the plates squeaky clean while you dried them off with a cotton fabric, sorting them into their shelves afterwards.

Silence once again fell upon the both of you, so you tried to start a conversation with him as he used to do with you. It caught him off guard but he was not unhappy about the change of events. The topics went from how to make the rocket chair land without hurting the survivors to Jack wearing a tiny top hat which earned some laughs from the pure image of it.

„(Y/N)...why do you keep avoiding me ? Do you hate me ? Is it because of my image ?“

You didn't know what to say for a second. The atmosphere drastically changed from happy to serious which you didn't expect. Mike's eyes drilled holes into you, waiting for an answer.

Scratching your neck you looked to the side.

„Mike...I like you. But I don't like how you always force yourself to smile. It's okay to show your true feelings as well...“

The blonde continued to starre down at you. Yet disbelief clouded his face. He always made sure to keep his act up. To stay the sunshine he was. Smiling, funny, entertaining. The perfect show cast. Yet here you were, looking past all of it. No one dared to say anything or to ask him if he was doing well. Because they saw the smile he presented.

Yet he remembered again why exactly he was so focused on your from the very beginning on.

As you were the only and first one to tell him that it was alright to vent or be sad for a bit after they had a terrible loss against the Geisha. He was clearly not happy with the results and focused the blame on himself.

But you were next to him, rubbing his back when he was not in the mood to smile. Giving him the impression that he was not only an actor but also a human who has other sides to him than the positive ones. That he was allowed to feel frustrated or sad. How could he forget that someone was actually caring for him once.

„Besides. I love your genuine smile the most. It outshines Apollo himself by far.“

And by flashing him that big warm smile of yours which only the luckiest ones got to see, his face flushed up. Since he remembered the second reason why he was so concentrated to see you happy.

Blooming inside of him that night, was a flower of affection and care for someone, which he never expected to experience before. And it soon would be the reason why he could smile with his full heart behind it.

“What do you mean you can’t find him?” Pino asked the guards.

“Sir, we’ve searched the castle grounds, as well as Golden Goose, we can’t find your brother anywhere. No one has seen him.” the guard told him.

Pino frowned, “Alright, thank you for your work. You may take your leave.” The guard bowed as he left the room. Gretel looked at him worriedly as he sat on their bed. He removed his hat and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, letting out a loud sigh.

“He couldn’t have gone far. We’ll find him.” she sat to him and rubbed his arm soothingly. He looked at her with a soft gaze and pulled her in for an embrace.

“Thank you…” he sincerely told her, “Thank you for helping us look for him, even after what he said to you.”

Gretel shook her head, “I know he didn’t mean those things, he’s your brother but he’s also my friend too. I’ll do everything I can to find him.” her gaze went to the technology she was working on her table.

He pulled back, “I’ve told Snow White and the rest already. She’s sending more guards out to find him and we’re all going out tomorrow morning too.” Gretel nodded, “Worst comes to worst, he’ll be back. He will.” he stated firmly.

“So do you live here alone?” Noki asked. He sat on the chair near the fire while Goldie sat opposite to him. They held their bowls on their laps as they made conversation while having dinner.

Goldie nodded, “Pretty much. I told my parents I wanted to live here to give myself a sense of responsibility...I didn’t have that much back at home.” she admitted while giving a short laugh. “Eventually I told my sisters too and they were fine with it. So I left the palace a little over a year ago.”

Noki widened his eyes, “Palace? Are you a princess?” he asked, surprised.

Goldie nodded her head, “Yeah, Princess Goldilocks. I’m not as known as my older sisters, you may not know me very well.” she laughed.

“I see,” he looked down at his food, “Well thank you for inviting me in, Your Highness.”

Goldie looked as if she choked on her food when she heard that. She started coughing and Noki immediately handed her a glass of water. She gulped it down in one go, sighing once she put it back down on the table.

“...You okay?” Noki asked.

She looked at him and gave him a weak smile, “Yeap. But don’t call me ‘your highness’. I’m trying not to get used to that. Just call me by my name.”

“Alright Goldilock-” he stopped as she gave him a look, “Goldie…” he continued.

She smiled and stood up, taking his bowl too as she placed them in the sink. “How about you, Noki? You got family?’

He nodded, “Two brothers, my Father, and my governess slash tutor if you count him.”

“Tutor?” Goldie walked around the room and put the dishes back in their proper places after washing them.

“Yeah,” he laughed, “My brothers and I would always try to get away from him whenever we could. He’s a good guy, but sometimes we didn’t really feel like having all the etiquette lessons.”

“Really?” Goldie found it strange that a dwarf needed etiquette lessons, but then again she’s not one to question the bizarreness of Fairy Tale Island. “I always wish I grew up with at least one brother. Having tons of older sisters isn’t as great as it sounds.”

“Yeah, it doesn’t sound great.” Noki looked back at her from his seat smiling, dodging a thrown pillow with a laugh. “I can’t imagine having sisters. I’m very thankful for my brothers,” he said settling back on his seat.

“Where are they now?” she asked.

“Back home. So where do I sleep?” He quickly changed the subject, not wanting to talk about it anymore.

Goldie gestured to the long couch near the window. He thanked her and went under the sheets. The two went to sleep as Noki thought about his plan. What would he do tomorrow? Should he ask Goldie for directions? She should know about the surrounding area if she’s lived here for a year. How would he apologize to his brothers and Gretel? Noki thought about what he said, and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t mean those things.

Sure he could have said them better, but it’s not like he was lying. With his Father giving these special treatments to his brothers and Pino not spending as much time with them anymore. He also hated himself for being so critical and a perfectionist about his work. He knew it was unhealthy yet he embraced this trait. These irked his mind as he drifted to sleep, his mind shutting down for the day. Though it felt short as he woke up and saw it was morning.

“Wake up!”

A ray of sunshine…

“Gah!” Noki sat up and moved back as Goldie violently woke him up. “H-Hey..morning..” he held his hand to his chest.

“Morning!” she beamed. Goldie stood up and grabbed a bucket and fishing rod. “C’mon let’s go.” she made her way to the door.

Noki got off the couch and followed her, “Where are we going?” he asked.

Goldie looked back at him, “Well don’t think you’re staying here for free,” she smirked as she lifted the door handle with her hand and used her foot to pry it open.

Noki followed her back in the woods again, only this time they made a couple of turns from where they originally walked yesterday evening. He felt the air get fresher and cleaner. From a distance, he heard running water. As they exited the woods he saw several rocks placed on fresh green grass, up ahead was a shallow running river. Not too deep that you’d have to swim to get across, but not too shallow that fish weren’t there.

“Right!” Goldie lifted her pants up to her knees after setting the bucket down, “Catch as many fish as you can. It should last me for today’s meals and tomorrows as well. Also, a couple of which I’m gonna sell to the market. Think you can handle it?” she asked.

Noki nodded as he removed his gloves. He had wondered why she had brought a fishing rod if she was just going to catch them by hand, but he decided not to question that. Goldie was at the far end of the river, catching a couple of fish and throwing them to the side.

Noki wasn’t really concentrating and just pulled on the fishing rod whenever he felt a tug at the line.

“Alright,” Goldie came back holding a couple of them, “I caught around five for now. What about you- what the hell how are you so good?!” she yelled a little too loud when she saw the bucket almost full. “How?!” she frowned and looked at him.

“I-I don’t know?” he said flustered, “I’m just good at most things I do.”

“Have you fished before?” she asked.

Noki shook his head, “I have a friend who catches all seafood quite easily, and another who cooks them to perfection.” he looked at the fishing rod, “I did make one of these before though...but I’ve never used it-”

“You’re saying this is your first time fishing?!” she suddenly crouched down to his level.

“Yes! What’s so surprising?!” he asked, very confused.

Goldie only stood and grumbled, “Mmmm…..fine!” she suddenly said. “Come with me!” and just like that Noki was picked up like he was a duffle bag.

“H-Hey, I don’t like being carried like this- woah!” he was dropped in the river as he felt the cold running water. He stood up and saw that they were deeper in the river.

“Catch them by hand and see if you can get as much!” she looked at him frowning with her hands on her hips.

“And...this is because..why?” he looked at her, “I thought the goal was to catch as much fish as we could and-”

“Do it!” she huffed.

Noki decided not to argue with her and looked at the water. He saw one fish pass by,

“Judging by the way it’s swimming it should come here right about...now.” he crouched down and expected to have a vertebrate in his hands, but it was only water. “What..” he muttered.

He tried again and again, even in other areas but all the fish just kept on slipping away from his hands.

He started to grumble under his breath, he’s always been good at everything he does. He’s built machines and contraptions that no one has ever seen. So why was this simple task so difficult for him-?!

“Haha!”

Noki turned around and saw Goldie giggling as she saw him. He frowned and walked up to her, “I see you did this just to humiliate me.” he spat.

Goldie, trying to stop her laughter, shook her head, “Aha, no not really. It’s just nice to see you can be human too. I thought dwarves were just naturally good at everything.” Goldie saw his face looked confused and she picked him up once more.

“You know I can walk right? I don’t like being manhandled!” he yelled squirming. She sat him down on one of the boulders in the middle of the river.

“Watch, I’ll teach you,” she smiled. Goldie bent down and easily, she caught a fish. “Use your thumb and index finger to nab it by the tail. Don’t think about the timing, usually they’re there once you feel the water change a bit. C’mon,” she patted the water.

Noki fell down beside her. He did as she told, but it still slipped from his fingers. He pouted to which Goldie laughed again. “It’s alright, try again.”

Moments later he still wasn’t getting the hang of it. Until on one of the attempts he was so close to it,

“Almost...got it-!”

And his face was thrown with water. The fish had gotten away from his hands and fell down to the river again. Noki wiped the water off to see Goldie laughing as she held her hands to her stomach. He should’ve been mad at her. He wanted to yell at her for disrupting him. For disrupting his hard work. But for some strange reason, he couldn’t.

He ended up laughing along with her as she fell into the river from laughing too much.

Conclusion

When you decide to choose a nickname for your girlfriend, you need to keep in mind that the name should fit her in some way. Her personality, the things she likes, her physical attributes, are all things that you should be thinking about when you choose a nickname.

One thing you should NOT do is choose something like pudding, dumpling, or muffin bottom, these can be taken by her as you referring to her being fat. Donut sounds like she is an afterthought a dessert after the main meal. Another one to steer away from poopsie…. Why would you call your girlfriend poop??

It can be hard choosing a nickname for your girl, just use some common sense and you will be fine.

FAIRY WORLD

CENTRAL STAR (PURPLE)

Fairy World’s most populous region. In general, it’s viewed as clean, high-end, and professional. Faeheim is the hub of Fairy World activity. The largest hospital and library can be found there, along with the Big Wand, Jorgen’s home, and Fairy World’s main shopping district. Two large events are hosted in Faeheim each year: Midsummer’s Night celebrations and the Christmas Eve gathering when Fairies approach the Big Wand to send their magic to Santa.

In Timmy’s time period, the current Purple Robe is Shaiimin Vieldgarr.

Names that originate from the Central Star Region are considered the most traditional and are often connected to namesakes from ancient stories.

Sample Names: Praxis, Ambrosine, Solara, Fergusius, Florensa, Juandissimo, Orin, Sindri, Simon, Angus, Lyren, Kalysta, Idona

Faeheim (5) - Fairy World’s capital city; contains ASPRA headquarters and the Big Wand; features the Rainbow Bridge connecting Fairy World to Earth; former location of the Water Temple

Pink Castle (5) - Located in Faeheim; residence of the Fairy Elder

Serentip (5) - Large port city; second largest city in Fairy World; rather dim sky provides aesthetic that lends itself well to Fairy World’s night life (think Las Vegas, USA); features the Artemis Lounge

Carl Poofypants Fairy High (5) - High school for Fairy kids who live in the Central Star and Far East regions; located in Serentip

Giant Bucket of Acid World (4) - Immediately below Faeheim

Ivory Wand and Comet Blood (4) - A sugar bar formerly owned by only Fairies; the Pixies currently own half of it so Fairy World cannot legally prevent them from visiting; if pixies leave Pixie World after work, you’ll likely find them either here for a quick drink or in Serentip for a rave

Tortoiseshell Peaks (3, 4, 5) - The name for three ranges of mountains found in about the same place on Planes 3, 4, and 5 (Between Faeheim and Novakiin)

Novakiin (3) - Small, wealthy town on the other side of the mountains from Faeheim

Lau Rell (3) - Small, clean town famous for its carnival; China Mayfleet’s hometown

Claystrif (3) - Also known as Patio World; contains intricately carved works of art and the glass shrine to Mother Nature and Father Time

Camp Ridawingedhorsie (1) - Summer camp; mostly for Fairy kids

FAR EAST (PINK)

A beautiful region with more woodlands than any other in Fairy World. Except for Comet Falls, you won’t find any cities here. It’s stereotyped as being cutesy and aesthetic. You’ll find small cottages and romantic getaway homes sprinkled all over this region (Fairies are big on romantic getaway homes since they have heat cycles and it’s a big deal when they’re in the mood). The general vibe here is that it’s a cozy place where people are spaced out and don’t see each other often (Much more elbow room than cramped Faeheim apartments).

In Timmy’s time period, the current Pink Robe is Mortikor Fern.

Names that originate from the Far East Region are often tangible things; they usually have a cutesy feel.

Sample Names: Snowflake, Cedar, Pepper, Twig, Thatch, Reed, Tinsel, Silky, Taffeta, China, Thimble, Robin, Ribbon, Rain, Hook, Grove

Comet Falls (7) - The factory center of Fairy World (think New York City, USA); rings in the new season four times a year; contains the Sky Temple

Comet Lake (7) - The widest lake in the cloudlands (and the closest thing the fae have to an ocean); located near Comet Falls

Emper (6) - Small, low-income town on the outskirts of Fairy World, occasionally circled by pirates; Cosmo’s hometown

Starglint Town (6) - Small woodland town near Emper; Fairywinkle Manor is located nearby; Wanda’s hometown

Rowanbeam (6) - Nice town where the Whimsifinado family relocated after the Fairywinkles drove them out of Starglint long ago (Think Beverly Hills, USA, but smaller and less warm)

Choketroll Pass (6) - A narrow canyon; will o’ the wisps jump over it ceremonially

Prudoc (5) - The college town that boasts the Fairy Academy

Mount Stinger (5) - The highest mountain in the cloudlands; located near the Fairy Academy (29,414.3 wingspans)

Nimbus Town (4) - Small but beautiful town surrounded by ipe forest; features Alberich Middle

Alberich Fairy Middle (4) - Middle school for Fairy kids who live in the Central Star and Far East regions

Mistleville (3) - Small town associated with romance; on the cherub migration route; has the tattoo parlor

LOWER WEST (GREEN)

The second most populous region in Fairy World. It’s sprinkled with small towns, many of which have a tourist town feel to them. Lots of restaurants in this region (especially small cafés). During years the Barrier is up, this region sees the most Anti-Fairies since it hosts the Divide Gate. There are quite a few mountains in this region as well and not as many trees. Lots of cobblestone roads and some famous annual traditions like festivals and races.

In Timmy’s time period, the current Green Robe is Kentry Rushwings.

Names that originate from the Lower West Region are generally abstract, non-tangible things.

Sample Names: Cosmo, Poof, Dusty, Goldie, Sparkle, Wink, Dash, Whisper, Whistle, Dawn, Tint, Sunshine, Moonbeam

Shiverwings Fairy High (8) - High school for Fairy kids who live in the Lower West and High North regions

Hiero Town (7) - Small town above Cairo, Egypt that features the Pastel Bridge (the second Bridge between Earth and Fairy World)

Esterale (6) - Small mountain village that was once considered quite progressive (allowing Fairy/Anti-Fairy couples to live together, etc); somewhat fallen into ruin since the war; contains Beira’s temple

Fairy World Pet Store (6) - Again, fits the general tourist-y vibe

Fairywood (5) - Blonda, Simon Sparklefield, and Westley Periwinkle live here (Think Hollywood, USA)

Little Olympus (5) - Small border town between Fairy World and Anti-Fairy World; contains the sandwich shop where Anti-Marigold works

Fairynando Fairy High (5) - High school for Fairy kids who live in the Lower West and High North regions; located in Little Olympus

Godscress (3) - Large border city between Fairy World and Anti-Fairy World; contains the Breath Temple and the fancy candle store

Evadne River (3) - Large river that runs right past Godscress; named after a legendary figure in Anti-Fairy culture

HIGH NORTH (BLUE)

Fairy World’s least populated region. This region is usually quite cold year-round on every plane. Not good news for an ectothermic species, but the farmland in this area is great... Perhaps it has something to do with the Leaves Temple? Or is it the other way around? Either way, you’ll find lots of mountains, lots of farms, lots of animals, but not a lot of people or trees in this region.

In Timmy’s time period, the current Blue Robe is Cattahan Nightbloom.

Names that originate from the High North Region are less “whimsical” and less traditional (Naming your kid Juan instead of Juandissimo, Fergus instead of Fergusius, Lily instead of Liliana).

Sample Names: Eunice, Adelinda, Adriana, Wanda, Wendy, Noel, Benjamin, Arthur, Luther, Stanley, Richard, Lily, Emma, Reno

The Eros Nest (8) - Cupid’s headquarters

Cornflower City (4) - If you grew up in the High North region, chances are you lived in this diverse city or were friends with people who lived there. This city is thought to have rather progressive views and is stereotyped for philosophy. Contains the Leaves Temple.

Oberon Fairy Middle (4) - Middle school for Fairy kids who live in the Lower West and High North regions; located in Cornflower City

Frozen Garden Palace (4) - Neutral meeting building for the Supreme Fairy Council and ambassadors; also called the FGP

Abracatraz (1) - Prison for magical beings (Especially Anti-Fairies)

PIXIE WORLD

All of Pixie World is located within the Central Star (Purple) region on Plane 3

Pixie World is a city-state inhabited by pixies and, as of the May Blossom War, many refugees from Earth. Names that originate from this region are most similar to those originating from the High North. They do not sound whimsical and are considered boring, non-traditional names.

Inkblot City - Pixie World’s capital city; contains the rebuilt Water Temple; notably lacks factories (they outsource to Comet Falls)

Graydust Ridge - Large canyon near Inkblot City; the largest canyon in Fairy World (but smaller than Sablewood Canyon in Anti-Fairy World)

Pixie Woods - The woods bordering one side of Pixie World; Papillon Lake is located within these woods

Papillon Lake - Small, crowded apartment buildings for will o’ the wisps, lawn gnomes, elves, and other fae who left Earth during the May Blossom War. Could arguably be described as the slums, though the Pixies try to keep it clean and tidy and it has a lovely view of the lake

ANTI-FAIRY WORLD

HIGH SOUTH (NAVY)

The High South is the most developed (urban) region in Anti-Fairy World; you’ll find beaten walking paths, restaurants, libraries, and a handful of factories here. Buildings are strong, almost like small bunkers or forts. The Sugarslew Chocolate Factory was once located in Luna’s Landing, but the Head Pixie bought it out to turn it into a pharmaceutical factory. You’ll also find forests of dark-leaved trees in this area (usually black or silver leaves). Most buildings are long, wide, and low. This region features the Divide Gate.

In Timmy’s time period, the current Navy Robe is Anti-Daryl Anti-Blackback.

Private names that originate from the High South Region usually contain two or three syllables and roll off the tongue in Snobbish, making them difficult for native Vatajasa speakers to pronounce.

Sample Names: Julius, Augustus, Alexander, Eleanor, Kelsia, Gloria, Melody, Gabriel, Nebula, Charlie, Harold, Lenora, Louise

Luna’s Landing (8) - Anti-Fairy World’s capital city; sits in a crater; contains the Love Temple (Think Nördlingen, Germany with tall cliffs)

Blue Castle (8) - Located a short flight through the woods from Luna’s Landing; residence of the High Count and High Countess

Crescent Lake (8) - A lake of dark water used by nobility for bathing; located behind the Blue Castle and a small mountain ridge

Anti-Fairy World Pet Store (6) - Inland, at the edge of the woods

Crowfeld (4) - Small town not far from Luna’s Landing; contains the fake Love Temple for tourists (the Fairy Chapel)

LOWER EAST (TEAL)

The least populated region in Anti-Fairy World. Features many mountains and caves. Acid pools and lava rivers can also be found throughout this region. Most buildings are very strong, tall, and have flat roofs. You’ll find a lot of natural features here and no big urban areas. When there are buildings, they help you appreciate nature (Ex: Cedarcross Point is the migration location and Camp Wannahurtastranger teaches Anti-Fairy kids useful outdoor skills).

In Timmy’s time period, the current Teal Robe is Anti-Alin Anti-Stormcrash.

Private names that originate from the Lower East Region are softer than Far West names, but are rarely more than two syllables long. They are often, though not always, based on an aspect of nature such as a plant or animal.

Sample Names: Minnow, Ashley, Wisp, Rose, Venus, Juno, Cleo, Soren, Rachel, Ivy, Olive, Horace, Noon, Fanny, Boulder, Sunrise, Autumn

Cedarcross Point (9) - Mountain town; Anti-Fairy migration destination in winter

Silverclaw Lake (8) - The fancy-schmancy fashion capital of the cloudlands (Think Paris, France but in the snow); the Charcoal Gentleman’s Club is located here

Sablewood Canyon (5) - The largest canyon in the cloudlands

Soil Temple (5) - Cave systems (Think Lima, Peru). Ilisa Maddington died here

Anti-Fairy Academy (4) - Building full of offices and labs where researchers can work, but classes aren’t held face-to-face

Hangover City (4) - Anti-Pixie World’s capital (and only) city; up on the cliffs overlooking a steep drop (See “Clash With the Anti-World”)

Camp Wannahurtastranger (1) - Summer camp; mostly for Anti-Fairy kids; Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda manage it personally (Anti-Cosmo gave it as a gift to Anti-Wanda on their 793rd anniversary)

FAR WEST (MAROON)

Far West is considered the “original” hub of Anti-Fairy culture; back in the day, the majority of Anti-Fairies lived with their Fairy counterparts, but they often traveled during migration season. Far West was a nice place for Anti-Fairies to mingle without straying too far from their counterparts. When Anti-Fairy culture sprang up around the Blue Castle, the High South Region became the new center of Anti-Fairy activity. As a result, Far West looks a bit old and run down (Think of it as a small Rome- still impressive, but the old glory has passed). The buildings here are pretty, but made of lighter and more fragile material than elsewhere in Anti-Fairy World.

In Timmy’s time period, the current Maroon Robe is Anti-Ted Anti-Sweep.

Private names that originate from the Far West Region are rarely more than one syllable. They sound sharp, making them easy to call from afar. Most Anti-Fairies in the Far West region speak Vatajasa as a first language.

Sample Names: Kate, Mike, Caden, Carter, Talon, Jake, Snap, Sandy, Rocky, Smoky, Abby, Eddie, Wren, Mac, Zach, Keith, Kite, Hiccup, Roe

Maplefeather Point (9) - Woodland tourist town; a spa owned by the Anti-Fernfall family; Anti-Fairy migration destination in summer

Thornpetal Town (9) - Low-income neighborhoods of anti-will o’ the wisps; you’ll sometimes find anti-wisps in big cities, but they usually gather in this area

Oakfall Town (8) - Anti-Cosmo’s mom’s hometown (Think Venice, Italy)

Lake Sunflicker (8) - The deepest lake in the cloudlands; located near Oakfall Town (2,574 wingspans deep)

Shadeblink (6) - Anti-Fairy World’s second largest city; contains the Fire Temple (Think Rome, Italy)

Seasonal Temple (3) - A temple to the twelve nature spirits who represent the twelve months on the Anti-Fairy calendar; each spirit takes a turn as the dominant spirit of the temple, so if you want to visit one you must visit in their month

Also: Snowflake Port (11) - A blended Fairy/Anti-Fairy port town of sailors and merchants; overlaps the border between Central Star and Lower East
