Some people do bad things and in return bad things happen to them later in life but for gong ji hoon it was instant karma like he does one bad thing and in the next second he's dying of hypertension and stress

I’d like to remind everyone if you are having Byeon WooSeok withdrawals after Lovely Runner … don’t forget about Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency.
Tumblr media
Cause he was great in that.
Everyone was great in that. It’s a cute feel good romance with enough political intrigue to create some excitement and tension for the various characters and love interests.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And don’t forget Park Ji Hoon is in it too (he was my fav).

Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve seen numerous Joseon K-dramas with all the royal rumble. Flower Crew is one of the few with an interesting storyline. It still links to the Joseon royalty (they’re always full of political and romantic drama anyway), but a marriage agency? Oh wow! Arranged marriages are nothing new in that period, but the fusion concept is at least refreshing for an overused historical period.
(Secret Royal Inspector and Joy, as well as Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, are in the same "oh wow" league.)
And... lots of eye candy here. 😉

My Man is Cupid. 7
Story: 8
Acting: 10
Chemistry: 8
Comparable to: Strong Girl Do Bong Soon (kdrama); Angels Last Mission (kdrama) ; Tale of the Nine Tailed (kdrama)
Usually I loved these fantasy type dramas but for some reason something was missing for me with this one. Still enjoyed it, but not the ‘oh my god can’t wait for the next episode’ type, just meh. I loved the storyline, it’s a great plot, but the writing, editing and unfortunately for me, the lack of chemistry between the main leads just gave it an overall ho hum of a series. Probably would have done better with a 10 episode series too.

DRAMA REVIEW | One Dollar Lawyer (2022)
Tumblr media
One Dollar Lawyer wastes no time: we jump right into the tale of our low-fee lawyer, and see his eccentric ways play out first-hand. The drama excels at random offhanded moments of comedy, and that’s totally what I’m here for.
Namgoong Min, of course, is just having a grand old time and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Kim Ji-eun, and their interactions when they start working together is superb. On the other hand, Park Jin woo is mostly known for his more serious roles but here you get to see him in full comedy, delivering some a very funny performance. Choi Dae Hoon plays the prosecutor dork trying really hard to be cool without realizing his honesty and hard work are exactly what make him one of the best characters in this show. Finally, Gong Min Jung shines as the smart and cool as a cucumber prosecutor, the perfect fold to her colleague and our lead's eccentric ways.
All in all, this was a drama full of nuance comedy, that really excelled when it decided to get more into the drama or thriller genre. Far from boring, dragged out, or overly violent, the cases were more about helping people in need (mostly people who society discriminates against), but we also have a bigger plot related to our hero's tragic origin story.
The standout guest roles go to Lee Chung ah and Nam Myung Ryul is what's probably the most heartbreaking performances of the entire drama.
I recommend it !

About four eps into Flower Crew and must say - so far it’s totally charming and fun. The lead actress is so adorable and funny with her huge light brown eyes and I like both love interests. Not to mention the other boys in the flower crew.
Tumblr media
The writing is also stellar. Every episode is jam packed with new adventure and plot twists and character development. Tons of witty dialogue. Not even a moment of filler or useless flashbacks.
Tumblr media
The LM is the cutie from Dali and the Cocky Prince. It’s also got that guy from Weak Hero Class 1. Both these dudes are idols, too, though I am not overly familiar with their music. They sure can act though.
Anyways - I can’t really recommend it yet as I’ve not finished it… but so far it’s two thumbs up.

You loved spending time with the boys of Seventeen, and that not only because you were a carat from the beginning, but also because your boyfriend was one of them. You knew Ji Hoon from before his trainee days, always cheering him on and supporting the path he went on, and he always wanted you by his side. Even when he was told that it might be possible that he'd have to break up with you if he wanted to become an idol, he told the others that if that were to happen, he'd just walk out of the company and find another dream that he can pursue with you by his side.
Today, the two of you were lounging on one of the sofas in the dorms, most of the other boys were out for schedules or just enjoying the day and only you, Ji Hoon and Seok MIn had stayed back in the house on their free day. Seok Min was playing a videogame while Ji Hoon and you were just cuddling, his slender fingers running gently through your hair while you were looking at the tv, joking around every time Seok Min’s character died in the game.
You just wanted to grab your phone from the coffee table when you froze in your movement; your phone was gone. Eyes wide, you turned to look at Jo Hoon, who frowned at your expression. “My phone is gone, do you have it by chance, jagi?” You asked, but Ji Hoon just shook his head no, he would never take it without asking you about it first. “I could call your phone, you have it on loud, haven't you?” He asked, to which you nodded your head yes and Ji Hoon dialed your number.
It didn't take long for Seventeen´s song ‘Maestro’ to blare through the room, this alone already made you blush slightly, but when Seok Min reached over to grab your phone that was laying underneath the pillow he sat on, you realized that this would be a horrible idea. Before you could react though, he reads the caller ID out loud, causing you to cover your face with the pillow in your arms.
“Huh, who is ‘Pookie Wookie Woozi Boo’?” Seok Min asks, an eyebrow raised as he turns around to see his older member staring at the phone in his own hand. “Oh-! Well, does it make it better that there's a heart and a blushy emoji next to it?” At this, you facepalmed, eyes wide in embarrassment as you then looked at Ji Hoon, who lowered his own phone, his face and neck blushed heavily.
“I- I can explain?” You laughed awkwardly, reaching over to take your phone from Seok Min before you turned back to Ji Hoon now, head tilted ever so slightly. “Well…I would love to know why you came up with that nickname for hyung! I mean, it fits though, but still. What´s a Pookie Wookie anyway?” Seok Min asked, by now holding his tummy from laughing hard about it. When you couldn't come up with a proper explanation, you only pointed at Ji Hoon, who couldn't hold back a laugh anymore, shaking his head about his girlfriend´s behavior, soon leaving the three of you a laughing mess in the living room of the dorms.

Here’s a list of all the Kdramas/Korean movies that I watched in 2023 + some of my thoughts (spoiler free)
The Glory
-Gonna be honest, I only started watching because Kim Hieora and Jung Sung Il are in this show.
-But I ended up really liking it. The bullying scenes were horrifying, the characters were memorable, and overall it was very well made.
Stranger
-HWANG SIMOK! I love him so much! BAE DOONA! I love her so much!
-I loved all the characters and all the twists
Stranger 2
-This season was good too. Seeing the dynamics and relationships between all the characters change was so interesting
Unlocked
-IM SIWAN! The reason why I watched this movie <3
-Is it the best and most unique movie? No. Was it pretty good and entertaining? Yeah!
All Of Us Are Dead
-Even in the zombie apocalypse they’re not free of bullying.
-My heart broke many times. Those poor kids didn’t deserve to go through all of that! (Except Na Yeon. I still don’t like her.)
The Glory Part 2
-Not the typical type of revenge. But I think it’s a very fitting ending.
Physical 100
-This show inspired me to start taking better care of myself.
-Watching everyone hype up this show so much then watching all the controversies come out in real time was crazy. Looking forward to season 2
Kingdom
-This show was on my radar because that zombie dude from Physical 100 said he did the choreography
-I love all of the characters and the zombies were so freaky
Kingdom 2
-The Queen might’ve been the scariest part of this show
-I love this show, season 3? Maybe?
Kingdom: Ashin of the North
-Han Ho Yeol from DP?!?!
-It was really interesting seeing another side to this story
Silent Sea
-BAE DOONA! GONG YOO!
-I don’t understand why this flopped. I really liked this show!
Siren: Survive The Island
-I was team athlete til the end! (I thought Kim Seong Yeon was hot)
-If there isn’t a season 2 I’m going to fight Netflix
Misaeng
-Im Siwan <3
-I really like this show. It really gave me hope and it honestly inspired me to work harder. I’m also trying to learn to play baduk
D.P. 2
-So many emotions. The ending left me feeling a bit empty. I’ve grown so attached to these characters and now it’s just over.
The Wailing
-I think I need to watch this a second time to really analyze it.
-I really like the sfx makeup
Monster
-Accurate representation of neurodivergent people/mentally disabled people? No.
-Interesting villain and fight scenes? Yes
Hide and Seek
-I really liked the twist and how eerie the vibes were
Memoir of a Murder
-I love unreliable narrators. Not knowing what’s real and what isn’t really puts you on the end he of your seat
-Also I didn’t even realize that was Kim Nam Gil
The Policeman’s Lineage
-I only watched this for Kwon Yul
-Decent story but I feel like it fell short of its potential
Hansel and Gretel
-Solid start but I didn’t realize that it was going in the direction that it did
-Not the ending that I expected but I’m satisfied with it
Ballerina
-Honestly, they were so over dramatic when it came to the bdsm stuff. Like okay, he’s kinky. That’s the least concerning thing about him.
-My mom got me to watch this because she likes Kim Ji Hoon
The Mimic
-Interesting concept with interesting characters
-The ending was so fitting, I’m very satisfied with it
Champion
-Another movie I watched for Kwon Yul
-I really like this movie, it’s very comforting and funny
Mother
-This is a cautionary tale, you cannot tell me otherwise!
-I was SHOCKED! It was just so sudden. I don’t know how to explain it without spoiling what happened.
Sweet Home 2
-Interesting. I’m not sure what I expected from this season but this wasn’t it.
-I found it entertaining but I’m not quite sure if I like how they’re approaching this new thing that they’re doing.
