also on the topic of sicfics, it would be absolutely devastating if you put in scenes/flashbacks to when jack was a sick/injured as a kid and his dad wasn't there, or he wasn't able to receive adequate support for whatever reason, or even if he was doted on by his mom during the time,, and you contrasted his past with what's happening currently,, that would absolutely make someone cry so you definitely shouldn't do that!! *wink*
