Strawberry — Kang Minhee

summary: Minhee is well known for his goofy and savage attitude. But when it comes to you, he just becomes the shy little strawberry boy he truly is. 

a/n: My prom night has been bothering me this past few days and it suddenly gave me an idea of writing how would minhee be before, during and after prom because my prom was like a roller coaster ride lol. I also mentioned some of x1 and cravity members :))

BEFORE PROM:

let’s be honest

prom is a huge thing for girls

it’s like a once in a lifetime princess hours for every girl

but when prom was announced in your school, you were shockingly uninterested

you don’t even know why

maybe it’s because a saturday night in front of netflix and a bucket of chicken wings sounds better?

but of course, your friends are going crazy about you not attending the most awaited event

so they did their best to encourage you to come

to the point that minhee has received the news

and since the two of you are close friends 

and he just happened to not have a date as well

he messaged you about this

mini: heyyyyy are you attending prom?

you: idk lol

you: how bout you??

mini: i will

mini: but heyyy

mini: will you go to prom with me

you: yea sure HAHAHAHA

to be honest you had mix emotions with that text message

you are 40% confused and 60% disappointed

disappointed bcs a lot of people have been posting and sharing stories abt how great their promposals were

and then for you.... it was just a text message

but either way, you are thankful and now you have a reason to attend prom

so you tell your friends abt this, even the littlest detail

in short, one of your friends told minhee abt you being a little bit disappointed with how he asked you for prom

so minhee made this small plan to ask you out once again

but this time it doesn’t involve text messages, instead it’s your favorite food

strawberries

anyways, it was a normal afternoon for you

and you were planning to head straight home so you could catch up with the netflix series you are currently watching

but junho, eunsang and taeyoung just had to stop you from leaving

“heyyy, we were asked by our art teacher to tell you to go to the art room,” eunsang said with a huge smile.

honestly, it was a sketchy smile and you were a little bit nervous

but you didn’t ask more and just headed for the art room

and when once you open the door you are greeted by a gorgeous boy

i mean cake

no i actually really meant the boy

there stood minhee in the middle of the room holding a burnt strawberry cheesecake

you just couldn’t help but giggle at the sight

minhee’s hair was a little bit messy and his face and clothes have a little bit of flour

cute

“what’s this for?”

minhee just shrug, trying to act cool

but you can actually see how red his ears were

“sooo... i made this cake for you but it’s kinda burnt. so here’s some strawberries instead” he said before giving you a bowl of strawberries

“thanks mini but what’s with the cake?”

minhee just smiled sheepishly at you, “will you be my prom date?” he asked with his cheeks getting red just like the strawberries he gave

“didn’t i say yes already?”

“i mean yeah but i heard you were a little bit disappointed and i’m also disappointed with myself because what i did was lame”

you couldn’t but giggle once again

you just shook your head and took out a hankie and wiped some of the flour he has in his face

“you didn’t have to ask me again, you know. plus being your date is much more important to me than the promposal”

he just shrugged before taking a good strawberry from the burnt cake and feeding it to you

“damn prom is going to be great with you and me together,” he said before you fed him some strawberries to shut him up

DURING PROM:

at the day itself i believe minhee would be so nervous

so serim, seungwoo and wooseok had to create a corsage for him

but anyways he would tell you that he would be waiting for you at the hotel lobby

and when you arrive, you couldn’t help but blush

because minhee just happened to look like an actual disney prince

but of course, you couldn’t help but laugh at how nervous he looks

to the point he would forget about getting you a corsage

you could see him fidgeting and his ears being red once again

and then he finally notices you and his mouth slowly opened

and it just goes wider as you walk towards him

he would instantly compliment you

“i thought you were a disney princess for a moment” 

“well i thought you were a disney prince for a moment as well”

cue minhee’s cheeks getting red along with his ears

as the night sky grows darker, minhee still hasn’t left your side

you were growing conscious because a lot of girls were staring at the both you already

also, his friends were teasing the both of you 

like just a minute ago jungmo and wonjin came towards the both of you and started chanting prom king and queen to the both of you

not gonna lie, you were kinda embarrassed

and thankfully minhee noticed this

“why won’t we go out in the garden for some fresh air?” 

while the two of you were sitting silently at the hotel’s empty garden

you couldn’t help but shiver with the cold air tickling you

and minhee noticed this once again

so he took his suit blazer off and placed it on top of your shoulders

you also noticed how red his ears are

“you know, i’m actually really having fun” he confessed

“same, to be honest, i thought you were going to leave at some point of the night. but you just stood beside me as if we are glued with one another” you joked making his cheeks turn into the shade of pink

“i actually wanna ask if you wanna....” he trailed off

you were about to ask him what he wanted to ask when he shook his head

“do you wanna dance again?”

you just giggled at him before taking his hand that he was holding out for you

while you guys are dancing at the garden with only a few fairy lights and the bright moon lighting the both of you, you couldn’t help but fall in love with your date

he just looks so amazing with the moonlight shining on him

you shifted yourself and placed both of your arms around his neck 

minhee instantly froze with the shortened distance between the both of you

but he recovered easily as he placed both of his hands on your waist

even pulling you closer and swaying the both of you slowly

as you stared at him, he hums a familiar song

“are you humming lover by taylor swift?”

“yeah, i heard from dongpyo that you love the song”

you couldn’t help but smile at him

you placed your head on his chest near his heart, as he chuckles softly

“god i’m so thankful i asked you out for prom”

AFTER PROM:

after prom, you thought your night was over 

minhee also suddenly disappeared from your sight

so you just chucked at yourself and was about to go down to the lobby when someone stopped you

“you’re leaving? let me take you home instead”

he said with his gorgeous smile

you just smiled also before shrugging

after all your parents were picking you up

so instead of taking you home, minhee just stood beside you waiting at the lobby for your parents

he insisted that he wanted to stay with you and make sure that you get home safely

sweet

so the two of you just casually chatted 

when he suddenly brought up a topic

“about what i wanted to ask you awhile ago at the garden...” he said

you just look at him as he fidgets 

"i actually wanna ask you... if you wanna go on a date after school on monday?”

you were of course baffled with his question

but you find yourself smiling at him sweetly

before kissing his left cheek

“i would love to go on a date with you”

he just stood there smiling at you widely

before taking your left picky and hooking it up with his right pinky

“i want to hold your hands but i’m too shy”

you couldn’t help but laugh with what he has said

you just nodded while smiling as you hold tightly in his pinky

“gosh i really like you and your strawberry cheeks and ears,” you said as minhee turn even redder

It's just Felix's voice is on another lvl and everytime his part comes in a song it's like "I knew it was gonna happen but I still feel attacked thank you" and ya I'd love to get some help in knowing who they are like, I recognize them most of the time but a guide to who's who wouldnt hurt mostly abt their personalities you know?

Oof I feel you so much with this. In the new album 아니 (Any) is my favourite song and I especially like Felix's part. His voice isn't as deep there but god, the tone of his voice is just so pretty?? It had me hooked from the start.🥺

And I'm really sorry for only answering this ask now, granted, I have to admit I felt very grumpy after tumblr deleted the whole guide I was working on but I finally finished the new, and definitely better/more organized one, so I hope this will be of help and that you'll enjoy reading through it~

A Guide to Stray Kids' Personalities

I'll put this under a cut as it got extremely long. :3

Bang Chan:

Chan is literally the biggest sweetheart and I keep referring to him as 'emotional support kpop boy'

he is so kind and caring - I mean he even hosts a weekly vlive broadcast to help stays fall asleep, he really cares about us/our problems and truly wants to help us feel better with his music and his words

truly does not have one bad bone in his body- he's super sweet and caring but when it comes down to business -music- he gets strict, maybe a little cold? but that's just because he wants everyone to do their best

he used to be (too) strict with Felix in the past but that was because he had a special bond with him/he liked him so much, so I assume he's the type of person who wants to see his loved ones succeed and do their best and so he might end up being a little too strict to them since he wants them to improve

he used to get more angry at the members when something didn't work out in the past but nowadays, he rarely loses his temper and he tries to stay away from them when he's really angry - he doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings

he actually really likes acting cute!! he used to be the youngest member at jype and he used to hang out with older peers, so he got a habit of acting cute and giving hugs to others and now he does it to the members, haha so precious

he gets super shy and flustered when he's being complimented - he starts giggling and looking down, it's literally the most precious and he deserves to know how amazing he is because he truly is so humble

his humble self is what makes him a great leader as well since he's never greedy or selfish and always puts the members before himself - the members are his top priority and he definitely sacrifices some things for the team

but he also said he can't talk about himself well or he gets nervous when he's got a schedule by himself (like when he recorded his dance cover of 2pm's my house), so he really seems like someone who gains strength and confidence from having his team around him

he's very selfless and very supportive and encouraging but he can also be very funny and teasing

he's very genuine, sincere and nice and he's got an extremely strong sense of responsibility (vvv good trait for a leader ofc), he may seem a bit scary at first/in the past but the more you learn about him the more amazing you will find him and the more you will fall in love with him tbh

in general he's honestly top notch boyfriend material and also just a very wholesome and high quality human being

he also likes to lead and set the mood, he enjoys entertaining others and making them feel satisfied - he hopes that everyone can be happy, he wants to make people happy and then he will be happy, too

and ofc we can't forget how talented he is, music production/composition, making arrangements, writing lyrics, translating lyrics, speaking multiple languages, beautiful singing voice, amazing dancer (he's actually done ballet in the past), and also a great rapper

like tbh, what can't he do??? but believe me when I say, we're going to be asking ourselves this question quite a few times in this post

Minho:

Minho is the definition of a tsundere personality - even the members said so - at first glance you may notice that he can be quite savage and funny and maybe there's even a chance that he seems cold to some-

however, he's truly a sweet person and has a very warm heart and he selflessly cares about others without trying to make a big deal out of it - like, he'd never boast about helping others or doing someone a favour, he's the type to quietly take care of others

he doesn't like admitting to it but he truly cares a lot despite acting nonchalant most of the time - like one time Changbin asked him to get him something,,, and he shrugged it off as "nah dude, I'm not getting this for you" but he kept searching for it for 30 minutes when he couldn't find it - so that really shows it all (Changbin that dork asked Hyunjin to get it for him and then when Minho finally came back and said he couldn't find it, Changbin was like "oh shit sorry, I already asked Hyunjin to bring it to me." 🤦🏻‍♀️ #justiceforminho)

anyway, I don't want people to view him as just a pretty face who's an amazing dancer and a savage guy because he's soooooo much more than that, like there's a lot more to him below the surface -

DID YOU KNOW HE MAKES THREADED BRACELETS IN HIS FREE TIME??? THAT'S THE ABSOLUTE SOFTEST THING EVER BUT ALSO WHAT CAN'T HE DO??? SO MUCH TALENT IN ONE PERSON- (he wore one in his recent solo live and he said he made 7 in total and gave some to others, I wonder if some of the other members got one since I saw Hyunjin wearing a bracelet like that-)

he's a cat person which I love but he also resembles a cat so much?? a true kitty boy- he's very independent and self-reliant, he used to live by himself (I read that once), so he knows how to get around

he also enjoys things such as the smell of gasoline/gas stations or the smell of new buildings or even the smell of cat paws??? it's really odd but also really funny and his reason for it is that smells leave behind memories and I think that makes so much sense then-

he cares a lot about the wellbeing of animals and people and he even sponsors a child in Africa through UNICEF - my heart melted when I found out about that, he also can be seen wearing safety pins on multiple occasions and that just makes me feel like you'd be very safe with him

he can be a bit of an enigma though, even the members think he's "weird"/hard to understand as even they don't fully get him but I think that's his charm! he's not like everybody and he doesn't shy away from being himself

also, he never makes the younger members do stuff for him, on the dance team(s?) he was on predebut, he always used to be one of the youngest members so he said he never learned how to treat people younger than him (he's also an only child), so he's just comfortable with the younger skz members and I feel like they really appreciate it since it makes them feel as if they're all the same age

he also reads a lot and he's said that he reads many self-help books so that he can gain knowledge and help stays out there/convey the message of these books to them

with Minho it's really about the little things, he doesn't make grand gestures and that's why I think some people may overlook his kind and caring nature but if you really look closely, you can see it and it'll warm your heart

He's also very diligent and hardworking, albeit he seems to be someone who gets bored here and there ("I work out to kill time") he really has his goals and ambitions and he works hard for them.

His dancing is freaking amazing (@ jype pls he is a main dancer why is he rarely in center spot????) and his vocals and rapping have improved tremendously! He's got such a beautiful and angelic falsetto tbh you will fall in love with it-

So all in all, you can totally appreciate him for his wit and his savage comments but honestly, his kind and caring heart is what really made him my bias wrecker. I truly believe that he's a very caring and protective person and I find that so beautiful.

Changbin:

Changbinnie oh god, I have so much love for him and I can relate to him a lot. First of all, he always makes sure to be a good listener, so others tend to go to him with their concerns and he tries to take everything in that they say and then give them comfort

he cares a lot about other people's feelings and he puts a lot of importance on his relationships with other people - he wants others to feel comfortable around him and he is very thankful that the younger members also feel comfortable around him

he's a very honest person and doesn't pretend or fake anything, however, if his truth/his feelings would hurt someone else's feelings, he's not going to be honest. That doesn't mean that he's going to lie but he just cares a lot about not hurting other's feelings.

he said even if someone else's feelings are just a little bit hurt, it drives him crazy and he also said that he might be like that since he's sensitive and gets hurts by others easily (this is all so relatable😭)

anyway, Changbin is known for liking to joke around and also is one of the member who get teased by the others a lot, but fear not, he said that he actually enjoys when others tease him because that means they're comfortable with him and that makes him happy

how precious is that omg-

he makes jokes a lot but he is serious when he needs to be, he tends to be more fun around others/with others but is more serious when he's on his own, that's why he actually prefers to be around friends since it helps him forget about his own concerns

I guess he'd be an overthinker and to stop himself from overthinking he spends time playing around with the other members but in a way, I also feel a bit worried since he doesn't open up a lot and I hope he doesn't bottle up his feelings too much since I know how difficult that can be :c

on another note, Changbin is very focused on his health, he apparently works out every morning even when he's tired, he also cares about healthy nutrition and he takes supplements so that he can be healthier

apart from wanting others to feel comfortable around him, he also wants to be seen as a reliable person and it feels good to him when he can help someone/give them comfort

he's truly such a sweetheart and despite seeming so confident, I always feel like he might harbour a lot of insecurities underneath - but that's just my personal opinion, so take that with a grain of salt

the members also said he's the scariest when he gets mad but the sweet thing is that he always apologises to everyone after getting mad

even if he didn't get mad at everyone, he still apologises to them all, and it just shows what a good heart he's got-

and pls can we also talk about how talented he is as a producer, composer, lyricist, main rapper, and vocalist?? His voice is so beautiful and I hope he gets more confident in it and tbh he's also a really good dancer, so I hope he can get praised for his dancing more often as well (before he became a rapper he actually tried out dancing first)

so in conclusion WHAT CAN'T HE DO AND CHANGBIN BEST BOI GIVE HIM LOTS OF LOVE

Hyunjin:

"sexy boy" Hyunjinnie here is actually so much more than just a pretty face with great body proportions and amazing and sexy dance moves/skills

Hyunjin is the biggest soft boy, he's truly a sentimentalist - he gets hurt easily, Seungmin compared him to a snowflake that breaks when it touches the ground

he first thought of himself as mentally strong since that's what helps him overcome all the difficulties but later on (in that video) he felt like he was more mentally weak

he cares a lot about other people's opinion of him and it's really hard for him to ignore hate comments, he gets really sensitive about those (pls for the love of god, what a**holes are sending this precious angel hate?!?!?!?! I WANNA FITE (ง'̀-'́)ง)

with that being said, he's a very emotional boy, he tries to control his emotions or hold them in but he gets influenced by them quite often

he's also very honest with his feelings, so when he expresses them and when he breaks down, they all just burst out of him and he ends up spilling everything he's held in for a while

he doesn't really express his emotions skillfully (don't @ me, Changbin said that) so that can make you feel a bit sorry for him or it can make you feel like you want to take care of him because he's so innocent, naive and trusts easily

like really, he is, he almost got abducted by a cult once- SOMEONE PROTECT HIM PLS-

he also gets immersed in things very easily and boi do I feel him on this one; especially when he watches dramas, he gets so immersed and feels like he's living through the drama as if it happened to himself, he puts himself in the shoes of the male/female main character and the storyline just affects him so much that he often ends up crying (same same😭)

it also happens when he reads webtoons or so, he's also a huge fan of reading - ever since an acquaintance recommended him some books when he was going through a hard time and those books comforted him in a way that words never could - that was the start of his interest in reading

from the outside, we also know him as a bit of a drama queen which actually makes for so many hilarious moments - this impulsive/emotional side of him is just so authentic and he said that there's no side of him that he hasn't shown to stays

he can also be quite critical tbh and he's got his own standards for his likes and dislikes, so when something doesn't meet his standards he breaks down akdksksoals but when there's something he doesn't want to do or thinks doesn't serve him, he's got no problem cutting it off

despite that, he can actually get swayed by other people quite easily (hence, him being trusting and naive), when others make suggestions, he often agrees to them but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have his own opinions whatsoever, because he does have those as well

it's just easy to sway/persuade him, even when it comes to things like shopping - he rarely goes shopping tbh, despite dressing so well - but when he does, then he'll go get the things he finds pretty but when someone points something out and says "that's pretty" he'll buy it (so in conclusion, I really wanna go shopping with him now)

so yeah, Hyunjin is amazing and he's so compassionate and emotional and empathetic and I love him so much wtf and he's so hardworking and talented and his dancing is so amazing and his rapping has become so damn good, like his voice is loud and stable like good job baby🥺, I'm so proud of you🥺, and his singing voice is so soft and lovely, and he's also great at taking pictures- and aaaah seriously what can't he do??? he is a full package imo and you cannot escape his charms even if you try-

Jisung:

okay so Jisungie is seriously such a precious and shy bean and you don't really see this at first glance because he's so sociable, outgoing and cheerful when he's with the members

but that's the thing: he's close to them and they make him feel comfortable and confident, so he feels at ease and can show a more talkative side of himself - he's even the one who usually leads the conversation

he's extremely funny, has a lot of wit, is great at doing acrostic poems and in general, he's just such a creative person with many amazing ideas - some may call him a genius😌

but coming back to that shy side of his; he's actually a very introverted person; he doesn't like to leave the house and and hates moving in general - Jisung in bed is Jisung in his natural habitat tbh

on days off he prefers to stay indoors, lay in bed, and just watch youtube videos or tv shows or something - he doesn't like to go out or do outdoor activities and his eyes are always glued to the phone (relatable)

even when he's eating with the members he's having his earbuds in and watches something on his phone and then he gets really creative and uses all kinds of things to mount his phone (again, so relatable hhhh)

his routine is something like watching youtube videos/cartoons etc., falling asleep, waking up, spacing out and then repeating the whole process-

he sleeps really well and he can actually fall asleep in the weirdest places, it really shows how he can fall asleep everywhere but maybe he also seeks special hideouts to nap because he doesn't like being woken up and if the members can't see/find him, they also can't wake him... you get it hahaha~

Chan thought that maybe Jisung watches all these things on his phone as a way to escape reality and to relieve stress but Jisung also said that he gets a lot of inspiration from cartoons and videos to write lyrics - due to watching all these videos he actually harbours a lot of random trivia knowledge, which fits the genius description~

however, despite this outgoing side when he's with his close friends, he actually gets scared easily, may it be heights or dark places or meeting new people - protect him omg - especially with strangers he's extremely shy -> the introvert showing

he actually doesn't talk at all when he has to meet new people, he gets very nervous and awkward and scared - when they're at music shows and there's a lot of people around, he gets very nervous - he said he's never been good at making friends and he only keeps a few close friends

when he gets close to people, however, he becomes extremely talkative with no limit, he's also very affectionate and warm-hearted, his sentimental, soft and dreamy side really coming through

so basically, he's very cheerful on the outside but thoughtful on the inside - he's actually very mature despite the goofy and silly/playful side he usually shows us -> Changbin once said that Jisung feels like an older brother to him because of how mature he is, he really is a deep thinker and I guess that's also a reason why he's so amazing at writing songs

Jisung also got something we're all envious of; he can eat lots of unhealthy things without gaining weight - he loves sweet things (but also chips) and he frequently eats late night snacks and luckily for him, his face rarely puffs up despite those late night snacks, there's only been a few occasions during which that happened (and I think I got a picture of one of these instances hahahaha he really looks different with a puffy face, so cute!!!🥺😂)

he's also just such an adorable person and it's so soft and cute and fun to watch him get excited and he absolutely loves to receive praise and he's just such a baby boy tbh :(( jisung protection squad where ya at?? and well, of course, we can't end this without talking about his endless list of talents like WHAT CAN'T THIS MAN DO??? producing songs, composing, writing lyrics, amazing rapping, amazing vocals, amazing dancing, drawing, voice imitations - he's seriously one of the most talented all-rounder out there and god I love him so much and you seriously can't escape his squirrel/quokka charms🥺

Felix:

if you need a definition or a personification of the word pure, it would be Felix, like seriously, this boy is so soft and precious we need to protect him at all costs

he's literally so nice, so sweet, so kind and so creative - he's often referred to as the "romanticist" in stray kids and yeah that really fits because you know what? he once surprised Seungmin for his birthday in the cutest way. He called him on his birthday and asked him for help (as an excuse) and when Seungmin came down, Felix was there with a birthday cake with Seungmin's nickname on it - he basically organized this little surprise and Seungmin tried so hard not to cry🥺🥺🥺

Felix is so considerate and cares a lot about the other members, he's usually more of a quiet person but when he feels comfortable around someone, he can get really talkative

but him not talking doesn't mean there's nothing going on inside of him - he's literally got so many thoughts running around in his mind and he's truly an overthinker - he talks to himself in his mind a lot

he also loves playing games and he can seriously go on playing until 6am, the members said that he is very good at concentrating (for example when he studies Korean) but especially also when he's playing games

Felix said that playing games is something that helps him relieve stress or it's what he does when he's tired - playing games is a distraction for him, so he can avoid thinking of whatever's troubling him

however, recently he wants to focus more on his concerns and worries, he thinks it's not something he should avoid, so now he tries to focus on these worries and talk about them/express them more since he thinks it's important to do so

something that's really cute about him but also worrisome is that he gets sleepy easily, especially after eating, so whenever they got dance practice, he tends not to eat in order to avoid getting sleepy :(

protect him pls and pls lixie don't avoid eating~ especially when having dance practice you need your energy and it's not good to have an empty stomach and fill it with coffee and sweet beverages instead of food :(

anyway, Felix is winsome and cute and an absolute cuddle buddy, he says he doesn't really know what it means to act cute but I suppose he's just naturally cute and adorable- I MEAN C'MON-

whenever Felix talks about serious matters, it's like he needs some sort of comfort afterwards so he requires a lot of cuddles (but the members said that after a while it gets too hot (I guess because of his body heat??) so it can be hard for them to cuddle him for long periods of time :'))

Felix is also known as our sunshine, he always wants to give a positive and happy impression to others/us stays even when he might be dealing with negative thoughts, it's too precious but I hope he also takes care of himself

but trying to be optimistic and think positively instead of letting the negative thoughts consume you is already a good start and I feel like Chan also helped him a lot with this, Chanlix best soulmates ever

Felix has high expectations (it seems) and he always wants to do better and do well, he's working hard on improving himself and it really shows!!

his singing voice improved so much (as well as his rapping!! and I mean H I S  V O I C E in general oof😭🥺) and his dancing is freaking amazing!! I hope he can become confident in himself because he deserves to be happy with the person he is since he's such a huge inspiration to so many of us!! SERIOUSLY WHAT CAN'T HE DO?? he shows us that we can achieve anything with practice and hard work and that's so inspiring PLS EVERYONE LOVE OUR FELIX SUNSHINE

Seungmin:

I think the first words that come to mind when thinking of Seungmin is how diligent and clean/organized he is. He was one of the only (if not THE only) trainee who never missed a day of writing his trainee logs

he's not just diligent but extremely hardworking overall and he describes himself as serious and a bit funny - he's got very strong willpower tbh

he may also be known for teasing the members, especially Jeongin, or for nagging when someone (looking at you, Jisung) leaves behind a mess at the dorm but he is truly a sweetheart and he doesn't mean any harm

and in turn, he's also one of the members who gets teased the most- when that happens he becomes upset but he recovers very quickly as he often thinks it's not worth getting mad over

like honestly, he is a puppy, he can't do no harm :< but yeah, Seungmin is actually extremely soft, emotional, empathetic and supportive!! I've been keeping an eye on him recently and whenever something happens to a member (on a variety show - for example when one member shows off something and embarrasses himself or so), he's always there to give them a hug, comforting them

he also always tries to cheer other members up when they feel down, then he may act silly or he does/say something that's supportive because he truly cares about the members and doesn't like seeing them in pain

he's also someone who cries very easily, showing how he's truly an emotional baby but don't be phased, he's actually very emotionally strong and it's something very admirable about him

he has God sent vocals, his dancing is amazing and omg have you heard rapper!Seungmin?? Tbh I dig it!! He strictly takes care of his voice since his vocals and recording songs is very important to him - he dresses warmly when it's cold, always wears a mask and tries not to get sick

he's also very good at taking photos and he always brings his camera to official schedules and takes photos of the members. SEUNGMIN BEST STRAY KIDS FANSITE!!!!!

if you ever hear a weird noise, especially something sounding like "GAAAH" or "DA", it's probably Seungmin. He's truly a puppy, he's so cute and adorable, I feel like he's the type of person you can't get mad at

he also manages himself well, from getting up early, to cooking food for himself if there's none, to taking care of his body and health - it's really admirable and he also practices his singing so diligently and it just s h o w s- he's so good

also, he actually wanted to become a baseball player when he was a kid and we're still waiting for him to show us how he plays-

but also!!! he is a very smart and logical person (he wanted to be a prosecutor if he wasn't in stray kids) so he's got both the logical and also the very loving, empathetic side since he's also very considerate of the members - he seems to be a really good listener to them, this is just a personal observation from watching two kids room episodes- and he's actually the only member who thinks before he speaks- THANK YOU SEUNGMING I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE DON'T JUST BLURT EVERYTHING OUT-

but anyway, Seungmin is the type of person who appreciates the small things in life and finds happiness through those. I really like that attitude and he's truly someone worth looking up to. Our multitalented dandy boy- you can only love him~

Jeongin:

Jeongin here may be the youngest - and granted he is absolutely cute and adorable no matter what he does - but he's actually also a very mature person and I feel like that can be overlooked since he's the youngest of the team

while it can be hard for him to share his struggles as there's no one else his age in skz, he's also generally a person who doesn't want to burden others with his hardships so he keeps a lot of stuff to himself (so relatable)

but recently his mom talked to him about him not sharing his feelings and he's trying to open up more and share a bit, when the other members ask him if it's been hard, he often bursts into tears - god, protect him pls

even though he doesn't talk or show that much there's these moments - one time he was eating with Hyunjin and just broke down in tears since it's been hard for him - I suppose he bottles stuff up and then it comes out all of a sudden

however, his mature side is still there and the members, especially Hyunjin or Chan really enjoy sharing their feelings with him

Jeongin is a really great listener, he doesn't try to give solutions, he just listens to the other person and then shares his own experiences - it's what makes him seem mature

though he also has a bit of a mature and even cold look, so usually the first impression he gives off is different from his actual self and he said he enjoys seeing how people get surprised when they get closer to him and learn about his true self

he's also extremely clumsy and causes trouble often - from breaking doors, to accidentally hurting members, to spilling stuff, he's a clumsy boi

and he's also really forgetful, he tends to forget when he orders something online and gets surprised when it suddenly arrives or he forgets where he put his belongings (like his airpods jajdjskdks) and then he just buys new ones and then loses them again after a few months- aish that boi-

but these things are also what makes him even more lovable, like yes, he definitely has a mature side about him but you just want to protect and take care of him when you see him, amiright???

the members also said (or more like Hyunjin said) that he doesn't know anyone who's kinder and nicer than Jeongin

and on top of that, he's also a very hardworking member and his dancing and his vocals have improved soooooo much, and I'm so so so proud of him, like his voice is so beautiful

and he's been getting into working out recently, so now he's also trying to take good care of his body and wow, he's been doing a really good job even the members commented on how his back/shoulders are becoming broader

all in all, Jeongin is the cute and adorable maknae of Stray Kids but he's also so much more than just the youngest member and he's got so many things going for him and he always pushes through even when it's hard and never gives up

i haven’t been getting any anons! i think people finally got sick of my rambling lmao plus there generally isn’t really a lot of stuff to sink your teeth into when things are going well (which they are, which is a good thing!) and i’ve been a little bit busier recently but! i’m really glad you enjoy the posts i make and i hope i can deliver again in the future !!!

tbh i really am enjoying everything that’s been happening recently!! i know some people think things are going a bit too smoothly and want more angst and drama but for me personally it’s like.... haven’t they both had enough for now? with everything that happened with whitney and callum coming out like??? both the audience and the storyline needs a little bit of a breather before we get more angst or drama (at least as a couple, because they do separately both still have drama going on as individual characters which i love!!! like i know not everyone likes the ben/martin stuff but i love it). to be perfectly honest it’s a bit of a miracle that they’re both still even on screen this much - both separately and together - and that they haven’t been put on the back burner for a while, so i’m really not gonna complain that they don’t really have anything big going on as a couple atm. plus they’ve both been through so much they deserve 5 minutes of peace and happiness :-(

and i think it’s important that they’re establishing them as a couple without any drama surrounding it right now. like this is a soap so ofc drama is inevitable but atm they’re setting up a solid foundation for their relationship so when angst and drama does come, it’ll make more sense in terms of narrative for there to be even more angst and drama because they were so happy and calm, you know? plus it’s just nice to see these cute lil domestic normal moments between them in like a very superficial ‘i’m a soft bitch’ way but also they’re letting the audience know that right now they’re getting closer and that their relationship is good! it’s working! they’re happy! everything is going well! so that when something does go wrong, the audience who might not be paying attention to ben and callum specifically won’t be like ‘well hang on, when did those two get too close’ bc they’ve been showing us little glimpses of their relationship progressing. (and i’ve already made a separate post abt it, but it is so nice to see a same sex couple being SO casually affectionate!! esp in soap!!! and consistently too!!! like it makes me so emo bc so many people are watching eastenders and are seeing this and it’s normalising that kind of affection between men, u know? and they’re not overdoing, it just feels normal and natural and good. and i so, so hope that when ash becomes a more permanent character we’ll get to see the same kind of casual affection between her and iqra bc we’ve seen glimpses of it w them too even tho they haven’t been on screen much and it just makes me SO happy like honestly i love it sm it’s such a nice change of pace!!!)

and i know some people wish we were getting to see more on screen but i do think we’re getting the perfect amount. at the end of the day eastenders only get 2 hours a week for all these characters and stories and ben and callum are consistently taking up a decent chunk of that. and they’re not gonna show us things that aren’t progressing a storyline, no matter how much we might want to see them. like the only reason we got to see the e20 date was to progress the whitney/leo/callum storyline, not to serve the ben/callum storyline, u know? i think rn we’re at the perfect balance. and i also know some people think they’re not really addressing the big issues like ben’s crime and callum living in paul’s old flat etc but i do think that will come in time. like they’ve only been dating for a month, let’s not forget that!! they have time for these issues to come up!! esp w pam coming back soon and the panesars coming to the square like!! u KNOW something is bound to blow up in their faces eventually and they will have to confront these big issues and it won’t be all happy domestic bfs forever but for now i’m not looking a gift horse in the mouth..... like it will happen and it will be v angsty and sad but for now i’m just enjoying a little bit of peace from the relationship drama (bc lbr they both still have personal drama going on, esp ben lmao)

the only thing i haven’t liked recently is the whole video of callum thing. like i get they’re trying to step up this rivalry between leo and callum, but i feel like that was just such a weird and quite a dark thing to go with. it’s almost too real, if that makes sense. bc that happens to girls all the fucking time, and even the nicest men are complacent in that. which is perhaps what they were going for? shock value? raise awareness? trying to show the audience that callum isn’t squeaky clean either? idk but it was a bit yikes for me, not necessarily at callum for having a past, but mostly at the writers who made the choice to go in that direction with it. but considering that’s like the only thing in months i haven’t liked we’re not doing too badly lmao!!! and tbh i did love seeing callum lay into leo in friday’s ep so u know.....

yeah idk! i really like everything that’s been going on atm!! and i’m really excited to see what’s coming next with the callum/leo stuff and pam coming back and ben’s ‘big gesture’ and then christmas etc like i’m just looking forward for what’s to come!! tbh i keep expecting this good streak to end and for me to not like the direction this story goes in but so far it hasn’t happened which is really surprising for a soap lmao so like i’m literally just taking it for what it is!!

the next day during class, xiao gui brings it up again

“you know, xingjie ge is single,” he said (not very casually, because when is xiao gui ever casual)

“i’m not gonna do anything,” you mumbled, focusing on the math work in front of you

“ey, that attitude isn’t gonna get you a date with xingjie,” xiao gui groaned, leaning on his side dramatically

you rolled your eyes at your best friend, leaning over to flick his forehead

“let’s just do our work.”

one night, after one of xiao gui’s showcases, he tells you that there’s gonna be an afterparty at one of the boys’ houses

and at first you really don’t want to go, but xiao gui insists that he can find a quiet room for you to study in

so after the afterparty starts, yankai shows you one of the bedrooms upstairs

it’s really neat, but you’re surprised to see a little shelf with what looked like magic trick supplies?

“have fun,” yankai said mysteriously as he closed the door, snickering again

(apparently yankai snickers a lot????)

so you’re in the bedroom doing homework when the door opens

you jump, startled, and almost scream when you see xingjie, a little red-faced and sweaty

as soon as the rapper sees you sprawled out on the bed, books spread out in front of you, his eyes widen

and you think he gets a little redder but you couldn’t really tell for sure

“o-oh, (y/n),” he said awkwardly, shifting his weight

then you realize what had probably happen and scramble to your feet, feeling your own cheeks heat up

“oh my god, is this your room?” you begin gathering your books, “i’m so, so sorry, oh my god!”

xiao gui made a noise of anguish

“i’ll let my image be ruined if it’s for your own good,” he yelled back, “but please don’t post it?”

“you’re actually doing it?” xingjie asked in amusement as he watched you pull your phone out from your pocket, tapping away angrily

you’ve been coming to the daycare center for 4 months

you were so-so at making friends, kinda shy, but most of the times energetic

like literal spikes of energy could be seen coming out of your back lmao

sometimes you’d be called out on it by some of the kids or supervisors but like

anyway, you’ve pretty much gotten your name thrown everywhere in the daycare center

2 February 2018 7.26pm CONVERSATION between YOONSAN and HOJUNG “You’re kidding,” Hojung scoffed, turning to look away from his best friend, eyes rolling. “Hyung, you can’t date my sister. No. She’s off limits.” Yoonsan’s lips curved into an irritated pout, he sighed and sprawled his form out on the dance room floor. “I just wanted to tell you. Help me put in a good word will ya?” Hojung rarely got mad at his rather quiet and bashful best friend, Yoonsan was not the kind of guy to lash out at other about petty problems he faced. He could be grumpy and a tad bit less understanding at times but that was all there was to his tantrums. However, this was a different story, this time he was actually contemplating starting a feud. “How could you even like her? You don’t even talk to her privately? All you do is get that 3 seconds of talk time whenever she brings me lunch or something. Please don’t call it love, please don’t break her heart like this. It isn’t genuine,” Hojung pointed out, his brain frantically analysing the situation, trying to find a loophole in Yoonsan’s confession. Yoonsan only knew you from those moments that lasted no longer than a minute, he couldn’t possibly be attached to a fleeting silhouette. Again, his friend shrugged it off casually, like he wasn’t being fiercely interrogated. Yoonsan avoided eye contact, shutting his eyes as if he was completely serene. “Maybe those 3 seconds was all she needed to steal my heart.”

I think it’s adorable he has sweater paws in a turtleneck. Neither of you says that out loud, but they say someone’s genuine thoughts can be seen through their eyes. Eyes are like the mirrors of your soul. Instead, you clink tea cups and sip on hot chocolate, admiring the last few snowflakes dotting on the large window on your right. This cafe was your idea but the outing was San’s. He appeared awfully mismatched with the whole cheerful fairyland aesthetic but you found it even more attractive. It was not an awkward mismatch but a surprisingly pleasant one like purple and yellow. This isn’t a date, you reminded yourself, taking a cookie from the platter and putting it to your lips as your mind worked to come up with a conversation starter other than ‘what memes have you got of my bro,’. San liked the fact that you took interest in his passion for music. Honestly, he could never hold a face-to-face conversation for long but talking about his music was a different story. 8 January 2018 8.18pm MEETING with YOU and HOTSHOT “Uhh San said he’s at Sungwoon’s house playing Fifa or something,” you replied to your parents’ question on where your older brother was. “Oh good,” your father commented. “I need to drop by their house to ask Sungwoon’s grandfather about the new fertiliser I bought. I was wondering if he had tested it yet. Want to get your brother back together?” If I go, I would see San for a bit...I MEAN, see my brother more and see Sungwoon and see Grandfather Ha. It isn’t all about San! “Uh, sure! Just let me...change!” The sentence had not been finished before your form disappeared up the staircase. The drive to Sungwoon’s place made you anticipated yet nervous for no apparent reason. After all, it was just your big brother and some of his close friends. Nothing else to it. For some reason, your hands shook as you closed the car door and walked into the house. “Go and get your brother.” Breathe. At first, San didn’t even look up from his phone when the door of Sungwoon’s bedroom opened but his head snapped up when he heard your melodious voice calling a greeting. A silly smile slipped onto his face as he bashfully waved back, trying not to garner Hojung’s attention. However, Hojung had already gotten a hunch on the interaction but he tried to brush it off. “Ahh, you know Dad won’t be leaving anytime soon. Join me, I’m winning anyway,” Hojung offered, holding up a game controller. He quickly went back to the game, yelling excitedly when you scored a goal against Taehyun and Sungwoon. San’s admiration for you only grew.

Extra Notes: Rhythm of the Heart Ch. 1

it was so hard to keep this whole fic a secret until now you have no idea. like, i referenced it heavily in posts on tumblr, but never outright said it was gonna exist except for on my works & wips that no one reads

i chose would you be so kind by dodie for this chapter’s title for the obvious reason of “i have a question / it might seem strange” referring to the cold open of “i need a fake boyfriend,” but there’s a second reason that’ll become clear next chapter

this chapter title will get a reprise in the spring towards the very end of the fic

the rest will be under the cut~

if you’ve been reading my chapter notes for music of the moment, then you’ll be very very familiar with the fact that many of the events happening there in moment and here in rhythm (which together i’m just gonna call “perfect harmony” from this point forward) are drawn from my life and experiences in band. the fake dating plotline is no exception

basically i needed revenge and asked the head drum major to be my fake boyfriend after talking to him for two days, and while he initially agreed (why?? i have no idea), he backed out at the last minute, and then we were friends for a while. 

if i ever need to refer to him in the future, i’ll be calling him “cody”, and this event (along w/the drama involving him later) will be referred to as “the fake dating shebang” or fds.

anyway, when rhythm was just a subplot to moment, it was originally going to be almost a bit of a retelling of the fds, though at the time of this original vision, said fake dating shebang hadn’t quite finished being a part of my life’s drama, so i honest to god had no idea how it would go beyond “kiri learns smth dramatic abt bkg, asks him to be his fake bf bc he wants to become less shy, and they have romantic tension as they enter into a series of deep dialogues or smth”

fortunately, i’m now far enough away from those events that i can write fic abt it ending up just being me, but w/fictional characters now. in terms of what happens btwn them as a result of fake dating, it’s mostly just “hey what if kiri needed a fake bf for motives that vaguely resemble my own, asked bkg in a sort-of similar way to how it happened w/me, but then bkg doesn’t back out?”

however, the fds didn’t put me on a whole-ass writing hiatus for all of 2019 for no reason, and that’s going to be reflected in the fic. fake dating is an inherently fluffy trope, buuuut i’m gonna be using it for teenage angst here bc that’s reflective of my own experiences lol

yeah basically everything extra to be noted abt this chapter is just “that was me at the start of the fds”

kiri being like “holy shit this was working what the fuck what the ACTUAL fuck”? that’s what i was thinking at the time lmao

bakugou saying “it doesn’t matter. i’ll help”? that’s what cody said to me lmao

the phone thing was new tho, but i put it in bc i had a bit w/cody where we hadn’t added each other on fb and he had no method of asking where i was when he didn’t catch where i told him to meet me after school lol

cody’s response to me saying “i need a fake boyfriend” was just a full moment of stunned silence before he shouted “WHAT???????” at the top of his lungs, and it is to date one of the funniest things ever

a fun fact abt perfect harmony is that i wrote out school schedules for all the kids, even the ones i don’t expect to ever show up or even be mentioned in the au. this is to keep classmates and class locations consistent

because this started out as a b-plot to moment, there will be a lot of references to things that happened in moment

for example, kaminari asking for help memorizing kanji is bc it should be established at some point in moment that he n baku are self-studying ap jpn bc it conflicts w/ap physics

however, i also work really really hard to make it so that both moment and rhythm can be read on their own, so there shouldn’t be any gaping plot holes here that would be solved by reading moment or vice versa

that being said, there will be subtle rhythm foreshadowing present in moment and vice versa, and since each are background subplots in the other, i’d personally recommend reading them both as they come out for that extra literary payoff

aaaand that’s about all for this chapter! feel free to shout in my askbox abt your responses to these extra notes or to ask further questions! lowkey expecting at least one person to ask for more detail on the fds hahaha, but anyway yeah!

mY SOFTEST BOYS!!! Thanks for asking Itsy ♥️♥️

I have a few soft boys, but the Softest is by far Brenden 👌🏻 in my head I always compare him to a fluffy bear; he has the magical power of Sounds which gives him not only the ability to destroy ears but also make wonderful music! His best subject is music as well, and he single-handedly created the entire big performance that their training group performs at the Rainy Feast. He has a crush on Emilaya, which is of course a problem because she at some point falls in love with Robin 😭 after that, he falls in love with the softest girl of the group so that’s a good match! He has an ending which makes you say “he did not deserve this” I am so sorry Brenden 😞

Then the second soft boy is Yoni!! He is what we call Pure™. He has the magical power of Barriers which already makes him Good! He’s extremely friendly and everyone likes him?? He’s also BEAUTIFUL AF but he doesn’t realise it (which makes people like him even more). He’s Robin’s best friend and also one of Emilaya’s best friends 👌🏻 somewhere close to the beginning of the story, he gets together with the third soft boy, Stanlo! It was great because Yoni did already like him from the start but fell in love when he noticed that Stanlo was flirting with him. Bc he is so pretty and good, everyone is always a bit shy to show their interest in him but Stanlo did show it and made Yoni love him for it. They really like each other and are together all the time and flirt in public which is great. One of the first times they appear in the same scene Emily describes them as “Stanlo was flirting with Yoni like usual” and that’s basically them for 100%. There’s one difficult moment in their love life but not because they’re fighting but because of other circumstances. They manage to get through it tho and are happy together forever. Also Yoni has a great and important role at the end during the Big Fight, in which he protects about 300 people at the same time (who need protection because of a special job they got and must not get in danger at all costs), and he’s one of my fave characters!!!!!

So, soft boy Stanlo! He is a bit less soft than the other soft boys but can still be considered a soft boy 👌🏻 he has the magical power of Electricity and likes getting himself hit by lightning lol (it doesn’t kill him). He also really likes drinking and becomes a huge flirty drunk but only towards Yoni which Yoni pretends to dislike but he loves it really. He also really loves his best friend Brenden and they’ve known each other since they were smol babbies. They have lots of fun together and sit in front of Bellány and Emilaya in one of their classes, so good times ensue! He’s the one to fall in love with Yoni first but he immediately goes for it - he doesn’t think Yoni will fall in love with him or anything but since he likes Yoni he just tries to be with him and flirt with him as much as he can - aND IT WORKS! Stanlo low key doesn’t understand how someone as great as Yoni could love him but he accepts it and they become a great couple; it also appears that their magic is compatible and they can create electrifying barriers which keep everyone even safer!

Then another of my fave soft boys (I have lots of soft boys I like soft boys), actually my all time fave: Robin! He has the magical power of Physical Energy, which allows him to control not only his own energy extremely well but also others. He uses it for good purposes tho~ and of course he becomes Emilaya’s Chrystal! (A Chrystal is a lover in Elunian terms) The first time they meet is when he and his family move into a tree in the same street as where Emilaya lives, and Emilaya just got back from another dimension and is exhausted, sitting in the middle of the street at midnight. Robin is immediately curious and starts talking to her. The thing with Robin is that he’s just so much FUN. He is one of the first to make Emilaya laugh at a time when she’s frustrated as shit. His smile is amazing and he can be so cute; he also blushes a lot lol and his eyes shine like stars. Besides that he’s fun, he’s also ridiculously kind and sweet. He always becomes a bit mad when Emilaya hurt herself because she’s too precious to him, and Emilaya always laughs and then tells him how sweet he is. Idk, he’s the kind of guy I would love to meet in real life but haven’t seen very often. Also he looks like Link 😂 but he’s definitely soft in terms of his capability to love. He loves Emilaya so much that he gives her the so called Soul Bliss, when you bless someone’s soul; when one receives a completely honest Soul Bliss, they get the most wonderful feeling they’ve ever felt - and that’s what happens when he gives it to Emilaya! They also share the same humour and he loves joking around with her. But he also cares for her so much it’s troublesome lol. Ahh I love him.

A boy who’s also soft is Robin’s little brother Piag. He has the magical power of Feelings which makes it already impossible for him to be anything but soft 😂 it’s more a passive power than an active one: he can’t control others’ feelings but he can feel them like his own and help them get better; he also wants to go into Healing, at the department of Mental Healing. 50% of the time he and Robin annoy the shit out of each other and 50% of the time they care for each other so much it’s problematic. When the evil fellows (Yukaï) who invade their planet attacked for the first time, Robin immediately grows worried because the bad feelings that are inside those creatures, affect Piag more than anyone. And when Piag falls in love with the first Yukai-boy to possess Elunian features (Miu, the last soft boy), Robin worries too because Miu’s bad feelings can affect Piag. And when Robin leaves Sinalópolis (the capital in which they live) to go to his friends in the town they moved from, Piag is upset that Robin leaves him. As I said, they annoy each other 50% of the time and love each other the other 50% :D. Piag is mostly considered cute, though he doesn’t like hearing it. The only one who he doesn’t hate hearing it from is Miu xD Piag also really loves reading and is okay with sticking to himself a bit because constantly feeling everyone’s feelings can be exhausting af. I love Piag!!! He is born in the same Sphere as Emilaya :D Piag and Emilaya also have mutual fondness for each other 👌🏻

Then the last soft boy! Sorry this has become such a long post… 😭 but the last soft boy is Miu, and also one of my fave characters ever! He was born a Yukai with Elunian features, which makes him an outcast and he gets repudiated by the other Yukaï. He is the one that saves Emilaya from imprisonment and therefore saves her life. Emilaya in return makes every Neflora who fights in the Big Fight watch out for any children that are the same as Miu, and they save more than 30 like him and take them in in their society. Because Miu is the first born Yukai to contain both Yukai features and Neflora features, he also has both feelings inside of him: dark feelings like fear and sadness and good feelings like happiness and love. This is what attracts Piag so much to him. His feelings can shift within a second and at first Piag is just curious. But soon he develops true feelings of love for Miu. Piag helped during the Big Fight to search for children who had both good and bad feelings inside them and helped save a lot of them! Miu already appreciates Piag for that, but when Piag reluctantly closes the distance between them, he feels curiosity in return. Piag talks to him about things he doesn’t really understand but wants to know more about, and when Piag tells him about the concept of being in love, Miu feels only positive feelings (this is when Piag confesses to him). Miu of course can’t immediately give a response in return because he doesn’t know what love is, but as Miu grows, his capability to love - which is an important feature in the world of Neflora - grows as well and he becomes able to fall in love with Piag. Since Miu, Piag has never loved anyone else so he’s so so happy! The first few years (Orbits) of their relationship is mostly Miu becoming more able to love and Piag falling in love harder lmao. Some moments are difficult because Miu sometimes suffers from panic attacks or strange waves of sadness that Piag feels as his own (it’s like there’s a war between good and bad going on within Miu #Zukoreference) (which is what Robin becomes worried about) but Piag still can’t stop himself from loving Miu and they get through it. I’m starting to think of different scenes between the two because I’m so excited about writing about them!! One of the important abilities of a Neflora is the ability to give their own “Kinameli”, their “heart of my love” to the person they love, which happens when they give each other the Body’s Gift (in other words when they’re gonna have sex). This is an important moment in Miu’s development, because when Piag gives him his Kinameli, Miu tries to give it back, but his Kinameli appears for a short second and then fades out again. This makes Miu so sad that Piag decides to give him his Kinameli anyway, and their first time is pretty good even though Miu couldn’t give Piag his Kinameli. After a while, Miu’s ability to love has grown to such an extend that he can bring his Kinameli out as well, and then their relationship improves even further 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

it has definitely evolved over the years. i didn't start having sex until i was engaged (catholic guilt and body image issues and not having our own place played a bit part in that), so i didn't rly start exploring what i liked, and how often i wanted to have sex until after marriage? and in the early days of our marriage when our work lives were hectic af, we probably only slept with each other once, maybe twice a week - because honestly, adult life is busy af so that's the sad reality of it.

nowadays we maybe have sex thrice a week - mostly hampered by our differing sleep schedules and lack of energy (he sleeps late unless he's got a morning cycle planned, i sleep early to run / gym). it works for us!

now - on to your worries on differing sex drives. don't worry abt magnifying the importance of sex in a relationship. it is important, it builds intimacy and it's up to you and your partner what priority and emphasis you wanna place on it. everyone's experience is different, and what i experience is probably different from yours, so take what i say with a heapful of salt.

communication and respect is key - talk to your partner. understand what their preferences are - what they like, what they dislike, how many times they wish to partake in it, etc. and make sure that they understand what you want, and communicate so you reach an acceptable compromise. on that note -

compromise - it's gonna be difficult, almost impossible to find someone is 100% compatible with you in every aspect of life, including in bed. at the same time, you need to be honest with yourself what you are willing to accept, so it doesn't cause resentment down the road.

scheduling is unsexy, but necessary - again, talk to your partner. figure out what works for their schedule and energy levels.

figure all of this out before marriage - even if you don't believe in pre-marital sex (which is cool, you do you), make sure you have a conversation w your partner so you can figure out expectations pre-marriage. don't go in blind, that's all i wld say.

things evolve over time - rmb that nothing stays constant, and sex drives can fluctuate depending on external factors like time pressure, stress, etc. just to take note, and manage your life cos it will affect you in the bedroom
