i dont wanna do this So I think he would accidentally hit you while angry, not at you but pissed about something k? He was walking away from you as you tried to follow him and calm him down. At some point he got riled up again and swung around, not realizing how close you were and striking you across the face with the back of his hand. Also, because he had raised his voice, you got upset and started tearing up, covering the area on your cheek where he’d hit you. He quickly came to his senses and tried to take care of you.

“I’m-I’m so sorry, y/n.... I wasn’t paying attention- I know the ice feels like shit but I don’t want you to get a bruise...”

Woojin

o wow ok ur rly gonna ask me to do this to my angel and myself alright then I think he’d accidentally hit you too hard when he was too excited. cant control his strength u get me? If you were hanging out with the rest of the boys, and idk Jisung breathed and everyone was yelling and laughing, and being crazy being SKZ. And Woojin meant to playfully hit you but accidentally used a bit too much muscle and ended up hitting you hard enough to leave bruises. Your eyes started watering mostly because your body was naturally reacting to the pain and Woojin noticed in a tic. He immediately hugged you so tightly apologizing softly as the other boys quieted down a little, getting the fact that it was getting to rowdy.

“Omg I’m so so sorry! Are you okay? I really didn’t mean to hit so hard, I’m so so so sorry...” It took an awful long time and a lot of reassurance on your part for him to forgive himself.

Minho

The dude probably accidentally bitch slapped you who tf knows. So you thought it was smart and funny to hide behind a corner in the JYP building SEngmiN iN ThE bUiLDinG and scare Minho as he was rounding the corner. Little did you know, he actually had very apt self-defense instincts. So when you did jump out at him, he literally fucking tried to karate chop you. Ended up actually smacking you. Hard. You were so shocked that you started to tear up, and the dude had the audacity to feel indignant.

“Well what were you expecting?? For me to squeal and fall?” But he eventually forgave you especially when you revealed you’d brought food and tried to stop you from crying, even though you were now smiling with teary eyes at his dumb reaction. HE LOVES YOU I SWEAR

Changbin

OK the guy is buff, he used too much strength when you were both squabbling over ice-cream the food of the gods. There was one helping of ice-cream left in the freezer (your fav flavor) and both of you dived for it at once. You simultaneously grabbed it and started wrestling for it and Changbin went into fight siblings mode. He became ruthless and elbowed you in the side unconsciously. As you let go with a grunt, he realized something had gone wrong (you wouldn’t give up on ice-cream so easily) and looked at you to see tears spilling out of your eyes as you held your side tightly. He was so horrified with himself, he dropped the tub and immediately checked you over, sounding like a hurt puppy, apologizing over and over.

“I can’t believe I really did that, I’m such an idiot! I’m so sorry y/n”. Needless to say he gave you the ice-cream.

Hyunjin

Two words: dance practice. He was trying to teach you dance moves (doesn’t care if you say you can’t dance). At some point he got a little too hyper, bouncing around like a Jack Russel and kicking out like a dancing Pennywise you are now haunted by the image. At some point he wasn’t paying attention to where he was kicking and his shoe met with your shin with a loud thud. You held onto your leg tightly, eyes watering and trying to not make a sound. The boy panicked and helped you to sit on the floor, apologizing like a broken record. He started rubbing the part of your leg which you already knew would have a bruise, so he promised to cuddle you and shower you with love whenever it hurt.

“Okay, maybe I shouldn’t be your dance teacher...”

Jisung

idk how this bb could possibly hurt anyone but lets stretch probability a bit You were both playing a card game like Spit: no need for a tutorial but in short when you get rid of your bunch of cards, both players get a chance to grab the smallest out of two piles of cards on the table. You were a decent player, and quick enough to win most of the time. At some point, Jisung got so frustrated, he tried to snag the smallest pile by slamming his fist onto it. It was only after he’d yelled with triumph that he realized you’d already grabbed the pile and he’d flattened your hand at the same time; now you had almost started weeping, cradling your hand. His jaw dropped as he took your hand gently, apologizing guiltily. After that he swore off the card game in the name of your safety.

“Okay, no more Spit for me... I’ve become too much of a danger...”

He had finally come home from a long two weeks of concerts and he was excited af about seeing you again. He’d already called you in the car on route from the airport and was hyped up to the point of squealing before getting into the apartment. As he walked in, you were standing in the entrance hall and he dropped all his stuff to sprint to you. “I’VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!” He tackled you in a hug, and the force at which he hit you was so big, your head snapped forward with a loud crack, making you cry out. Alarmed, he immediately let you go as you rubbed the back of your neck, tears already streaming down your face. He quickly went to fetch you some ice and sat you down with a pillow behind your head. “I am so sorry, holy shit. Are you alright?”

Your best response was: “Maybe next time don’t catapult yourself at me...”

i keep thinking he’s incapable of hurting someone but then i think of him messing with Binnie lmao So idk how it came to this but Minnie and you ended up making the executive decision that it was a good idea to wrestle in the living room of the apartment. Both of you were actually really good at not falling or anything, but anytime someone collapsed on the ground, they’d demand a rematch because “I just slipped!” and you both started getting more violent. At some point, you were trying to throw Seungmin onto the sofa, but you lost your balance and he took advantage of it, hurling you at what he’d thought was the big soft chair. Instead, you stumbled and fell, slamming your head on the wall next to the chair. With a whimper, you held your head, tears already spilling out of your eyes. Seungmin came running to you in horror, eyes wide as dinner plates and immediately started cradling you gently, rocking back and forth and trembling slightly. “I’m so sorry, I meant for you to land on the chair... I should probably get some ice for that or it’ll swell...”

“Yeah, no shit”, you only managed to say. Soon he was cradling you and holding a bag of frozen pees on the back of your head as you watched something on TV, now very very calm and quiet.

how tf can this kid hurt anyone? ahem You were both in the SKZ bus and everyone was turning up to a GOT7 song or sumn. You and Jeongin were sitting next to each other and were super hyper and doing the dance moves to every song, singing the lyrics over-dramatically. At some point you were both swaying left and right and you both became out of sync in the chaos, and managed to knock your heads against each other lmao. It’s your ATL convert again. I’m just going to jump right in. I’m going to listen to the podcast you mentioned with Jack, I’m curious to hear what he said about not being pop punk. Has he listened to his band’s music? They are very much a pop punk band, especially the early stuff. WUS could be classified as more alt but there is still a very identifiable pop punk flair to the music. 🤔 This has me baffled and curious.

You mentioned a Basement Noise performance, where might I find this? Are there more? Pardon the pun but you have created a monster.

I’ve read your Oh, Calamity fics and to be honest they are some of my favorites. I agree wholeheartedly that there is an air hopefulness to the song. I will always choose to believe there is hope.

Getaway Green is a bop in my humble opinion. I have been bopping my head thinking of the song. It has me wanting to get in the car and go for a drive. True story, I used to live near Costa Mesa (I’m not sure if it’s the one referenced in the song?) but it had me thinking of the times I would be stopped at the lights and how thoughts and feelings differ between now and then. I guess you could say this song became nostalgic for me and I feel that is what the song is about. The nostalgia if finding someone that fits you so well, knowing it isn’t going to be long term but being hopeful that maybe it could be at some point.

I’ve been listening to SW, IR as I type this message out. Remembering Sunday is on now and it had me thinking of Luke. When I think of early 5SOS, the phrasing Alex uses in this song is very similar to what Luke used at the time. I would be very interested to hear Luke sing some if their earlier catalogue to hear the difference. I’ll work on a more complete opinion piece of this album and make a second post.

oh it was these livestream shows that atl did last year in like.......fall?? ish?? maybe??? this series of shows where each member of the band got to choose a set list. they also did a show that was a full playthrough of wake up sunshine but point being that they performed monsters twice (once in the wus show and once in alex’s set list show) and.........providing it to you may involve.......turning a blind eye to certain laws. i think that @gutsmp3 may be a better person to ask (melia i hope it’s ok ive dragged you in here). however there IS, to segue smoothly, a video for getaway green live, which they debuted at....some festival ???? like a year or something before wake up sunshine was released or even announced. like they just. played it live. for shits n giggles i guess??? and they did do a verse of monsters on good morning america. and. i don’t know. i think that a nice youtube deep dive will take you where you need to go

I’ve briefly touched up on the subject of ‘How would Ardyn react should he find out he was beginning to develop feelings for Cephy/ an s/o and I decided I dive a bit deeper into it? Most of the headcanon ties together with my OC Cephy’s backstory, with her being from ‘our’ universe and end up in the FFXV universe and some other paradox wibbly wobbly times wimey stuff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 

Like, she knows she is from planet Earth in the Milky Way galaxy but when waking up in Niflheim she wasn’t a ghost really, she has a social security number, a place to live and a job etc and I guess if I”d ever decide to write a full fledged story it’d centering around why tf she was there and what was happening and how her friendship / relationship slowly evolves with Ardyn and some other ppl.

If I’d put a timeline, I’d set it to somewhere few years before the main story line happens.

Generally speaking Ardyn is a very charming man and he knows how to sweet talk and manipulate his way to get what he wants, and he does not shy away from doing it.

The way I see Cephy and Ardyns coughfriendshipcough unfold is that when Ardyn first spotted Cephy, there was something awfully familiar about her, but he couldn’t really place his finger on what exactly. It certainly did peak his interest enough to do a quick background search on her (he’s the chancellor of Niflheim pretty sure he can do that and if not it’s Ardyn, he’ll find a morally questionable way to do it).

Background check says she is ‘just a girl’ working as a pianist in a fancy ass restaurant to pay for her bills and university but mhmmm no no that can’t be right there is just something very different about her and Ardyn would know that because mah dude been alive for more than 2000 years he can read people.

Cue he’d try to approach her outside of work and strike up conversation at which she ofc isn’t really comfortable with because momma taught her not to talk to strangers especially one who is a fashion disaster on two legs. Well too bad once something had caught Ardyn’s attention he ain’t gonna rest until he is satisfied with the answer.

So essentially Ardyn would also pop up in the weirdest and random-est time, claiming ‘what a coincidence!’ It is and then proceed to engage Cephy into a small talk. At some Cephy just gave up and decided to go with the flow and entertain him, secretly hoping sooner or later he’d just get bored of her. She is also low key worried that he might be onto her that she was basically an ‘alien’ here and worst case scenario him bing the chancellor and shit might come up with the idea to lock up her up and then the government will conduct experiments on her

And Ardyn of course can tel that he is visibly making her uncomfortable and he high key takes pleasure in it because ya he gotta establish dominance here but I think over the time his curiosity turns into genuine interest, like obviously she looks and talks like any other human being her age and there was absolutely nothing special about her, she didn’t have any powers.

It’s the small things in conversations that makes Ardyn perk up, stuff Cephy says. Why does she mutter Jesus fucking Christ under her breath whenever she is frustrated? Why was never watched or even heard about Star Wars such a bad thing? Why does she keep asking about a place called Midgard and Asgard just because this empire is called Niflheim? How come she doesn’t know about the Six???

Naturally Cephy would try her best to ignore Ardyn’s existence as good as she can, but there will be times where she would snap back a very sassy mic-drop burn, that would sometimes even stun the chancellor himself into silence, but only for a brief millisecond before he recovers and fires something playfully back.

I think Ardyn is also used to people being wary of him, or getting annoyed by his eccentric-ness, or try to not interact and work with him as much as possible. He’s awfully lonely, so he’d do anything humanly possible to stand out and attract some attention if that makes sense??? So yeah I headcanon Ardyn likes it when  Cephy is being blunt and throws an half-hearted insult at him, because whenever she does that, she wearing a half smile half smirk on her face and cranking up her neck to stare at him with those blue eyes, as if they were just waiting for Ardyn to retort something back.

Given both circumstances, I do believe that in some super weird and twisted way, they understand each other? Like they are both echoes from another place and another time and stuck somewhere they don’t really belong to and can’t call home, they find comfort in each other in the most platonic way. Well, platonic as in there is no sexual and romantic feelings (yet), but that doesn’t mean Ardyn won’t get all touchy touchy sometimes. It’s usually things just like resting a hand on Cephy’s back or patting her head or flicking her nose.

That being said, I also see Ardyn as the kind of person that after all those centuries of living I do believe that the need for sex has died down at some point??? Ardyn still enjoys the occasional flirting and game of cat-and-mouse though.

And of course over the years he has become used to being lonely and/or alone, and don’t really see the point in committing himself into a romantic relationship as he’ll either outlive that person or the time to set his plan in motion has come and he is essentially going to die sooner or later.

So yeah basically, the two would start some kind of really really really weird friendship that would get strange sideway looks from people. Although Ardyn wouldn’t even be sure if he can call it friendship and/or call Cephy his friend because goddammit it has been so long since he had a real friend he doesn’t even know how to do friends and friendship

Honestly I can see that being friends with Ardyn is going to be a lot of time and effort and energy because sometimes that overdramatic man child is just impossible

Even though Cephy is your average ordinary girl, She does suspect there is something out of place with Ardyn too (she’s watched enough movies, tv shows and comics to make up her own thesis) but she can’t place her finger on what, but then again she also doesn’t actively seek out to find an answer, believing there was a reason why Ardyn hasn’t told her anything yet.
