people don’t know what a villain is - how is jack harkness saving millions of children make him a villain? i mean i’m not saying he was good by sacrificing his own grandson, i’m saying villains do shit for evil, he NEVER did, jack harkness never did anything because he wanted to be evil - he killed lisa to save the team and the world from the cyber man, he was harsh to the sleeping agent because he knew something was up, same thing with mary in greeks bearing gifts - im not saying his methods are good, he’s harsh and yells and screams, he even does it with suzie who once was his second in command, but he never did anything just because he was *evil*, it’s always for the greater good

and of course one can debate its not his place, or some of the things he does are questionable

but he does it FOR GOOD

and maybe i don’t know what a villain is but i always thought you had to do bad stuff and be evil just because, or maybe because you have a goal - but how can you look at a man who sacrifices everything (people he loves, relationships, everything he has) for the good of the world and universe?

Ok I'm gonna rant about this new live action for a sec

How on earth is this even the same scene???

Why have they made the la version look all whimsical and magical??

Like in the original you have this creepy forest that really shows how Berk isn't this whole sunny happy place and it makes Hiccup seem isolated from anyone else, which is what makes him being pinned down by Toothless so much more unnerving and intimidating.

In the la it looks like a fairy or something is gonna show up any moment, it gets rid of that unnerving factor that made the original so good. Just from the atmosphere alone you can already tell that Toothless isn't gonna try and kill him and it already gives "I just wanna be friends 🥺" vibes and we haven't even had forbidden friendship yet?? And even that scene in itself (in the original) still makes Toothless seem somewhat untrustworthy to Hiccup.

I really hope in the full movie they're able to capture some of the small details that really emphasise the mood in that scene, like Hiccup's hands shaking while he's holding the knife and the camera moving down with him after he sees Toothless tied up for that split second, which really makes the audience feel the same way Hiccup does about finding this deadly dragon while alone in the woods.

Anyway that's my rant :)

Anyways, seen your rb my silly hitshow poll (I'm in some way surprised and not surprised with the results so far, which is a good thing, I LOVE NUMBERS!!) but I'm here for something different. I don't remember how much you actually talked about them, but maybe that's just a headache talking (usually when it rains I get headaches and it is indeed raining right now) but I wonder how you exactly feel about them? And also what you voted for :3. I've already voted myself, and I'm actually an (obviously) before movie but also bc of potential- I think they have a lot so. Yeah, that's why I'm asking you cuz I see that you're actually extra based about redemption stuff too (thank you so much, my love and tears goes out to you it feels so nice to not be alone about it I'm not kidding) so that only makes me more interested!

When the fanart first came (as in before the movie) into the smg4 tag, I saw it and I was like "huh, that's a fun idea ^^ also that's good art" (<- is this a sign of me being on the ace spectrum? idk you tell me) but it clicked for me in the next second, "hold up, this actually has potential? we might be cooking". That's why in the poll, I chose the fanart option bc I wouldn't have that realization otherwise:

And ofc the movie and the meme recreation of the official account happened.... istg are we still sharing a shared delusion? it still doesn't feel real lmao. Well, now that we have: full speed ahead, chat!

Fr tho, they do have potential. NOT that they will be canon or anything, we barely just got a scene with them. But definitely the type of ship where I'm like "I'm gonna need fics and fanart to fulfill my quota :)" (but if the team does make them canon, we could have the first villain pairing maybeeee? 👀) And since we are talking about them, I do have a rant, that may be a doozy one so bear with me:

(1) I've seen some people calling the "you look lonely" render as queerbait and that made me physically wince, so I thought I voice my thoughts to the people. This is NOT queerbaiting. This is the Team simply recreating a popular meme, in response to SO many fans connecting it to the scene in the movie. Think of queerbaiting as a carrot on the stick. It wouldn't be like the Team to make false promises just so they could have more viewers/targeting the LGBTQ+ audience, that's not them. Just another meme recreation for the silly meme show, like they've always done, for the shits and giggles. Besides, like I said, we only had a scene with them; we didn't even scratch the surface. (I'll get to the whole OG bladerunner meaning in a sec)

(2) I've also seen people wanting Karen to go back with WPNZ and accept him back into the family. Or that WPNZ/Puzzles don't deserve to have a redemption arc. I'm going to go back to my redemption talk again for this: redemption ≠ forgiveness ≠ remembering. As much as these correlate to each other, they're not the same.

First, redemption. It's not if a particular character deserves it or not; if they choose to change, that's their choice. The question is, are they willing to take the time and effort to change? If the answer is yes, then they could have a chance at redemption. If not, that's their choice. Again, there's a difference between "I have to change" and "I want to change", and it takes guts to do it. Not that it will be an easy battle, but whatever the motivation may be, it might be worth it in the end.

Now, do I think redemption is possible for WPNZ or Puzzles? I think it's possible. I think that deep down, they want things to change for the better, that they wish they weren't so alone. Unfortunately, a lot of things blinded them into doing the actions they've done, almost like they didn't know how to redeem themselves. Change is recognizing what is wrong or misguided by what's truly wanted, which ultimately ends up hurting oneself and others.

The people (or lack thereof) in their lives growing up didn't help, and being locked away in solitary confinement made things way worse. Hell, WPNZ actually wanted to change for the better, but with how he was growing up and whatever HItman Inc. implemented in him, it's not easy to "forget"/"undo" the mindset he's been living with his whole life. Born and forced to be a weapon, expendable by the corporation that took him "under their wing", needed to be strong and brave in a high-risk job, the only companion and relationship he ever had was his partner-in-crime. It's why he saw the kids as weapons, needing them to be strong in the mission/get impatient when they're joking around, and misinterprets Karen's hostility towards him as nostalgic thrill. This is basically all he knows, what was constantly told to him. And I don't think he realized how fucked up his life actually was or how much effort is truly needed to learn how to change.

Second, forgiveness. Unlike redemption where someone has a choice, forgiveness is earned by others. Even if a character chooses to redeem themselves, not every person affected by their past actions is going to forgive them. And that's normal, it's fine. When it comes to redemption, you are not supposed to expect something in return, the redemption is for you and you alone. Even if you change and say your sorry's, people don't owe you forgiveness. It's not bc it wasn't sincere or anything, but those past actions could affect differently from person to person, more than realized. We have to accept that regardless of the outcome. An apology is accepting oneself's actions are wrong, forgiveness is the other person letting go of what was hurt/affected. Which ties in with the third, remembering. Just bc you forgive someone, it doesn't mean it automatically makes you forget whatever happened between the two of you. You can see someone's redemption, apologize to you in the most sincere way possible, but you can't forgive them. Or maybe do forgive them, to give yourself peace of mind, but you can't forget how hurt you were by all of it. Some things, those that hurt, can only stay in the past. You can't be "unaffected" by it with a flick of a switch, trauma and injury. How do you want to move forward, that's a leap of faith. Cooling down the hate and grudges, or even letting go.

Redemption is a choice for the person who hurted, forgiveness is a choice for the people affected by said hurt. It's their choice, and they don't owe that to anyone else. With sincerity, honesty, and courage, it can be done if you want to move forward, even if some things will still be remembered. It's literally the conversation Karen and WPNZ had in the movie:

Karen: "Fancy words don't change what you did to me, what you did to my kids." WPNZ: "I know that doesn't change anything, doesn't make up for what I did. But I'm sorry, Karen." Karen: "You've grown alot for the better, but there are some things that just can't be forgiven."

Like I said, redemption was extremely close for WPNZ. The problem was that stopped him stemmed from the loneliness he had, it's why he tracked them down in the first place. He didn't go to them bc he saw how terrible being in Hitman Inc. actually was, but bc he missed the thrill of having Karen (or Katana) around. The missions weren't the same without her. When the kids were upset during the mission, he didn't take responsibility bc he didn't understand that these were kids scared for literally being thrown in a dangerous situation, but bc Karen sheltered them from their so-called roots that the kids need to train to be stronger. Pretty confident that he was recruited by Hitman Inc. at a young age, and he had to deal with what the kids did and be strong too. He didn't want to be alone but he couldn't identify what the true problem was, and therefore stuck with the mindset he had.

Same goes with Puzzles. Truly, the only thing he had in his life growing up was a TV. He didn't have friends. His dad was a narcissistic, neglectful asshole. His mom is implied(???) to be abusive to him, otherwise she's out of the picture completely. He literally locked himself in his room and didn't come out for years. When Puzzles eventually did come out of her room, she went on to cut her head off. You'd think that a parent would be worried for their child and rip the door off its hinges just to know if they're ok from the start. But no, it didn't happen. And the mindset she has, Puzzles thinks that by achieving her dreams to absolute perfection would make her happy, that being popular would "help" her loneliness, that she can prove that her whether-or-not-living father that she proved him wrong. It's why he made Puzzlevision or Puzzle Park.

And for the first time in her life, when someone did care, she got very attached to Leggy, upset when the Crew "took" Leggy away, so much so that he made Leggy 2.0.

WPNZ and Puzzles did the things they did because they were alone. Bc of the mindset constantly being reminded to them, they're blinded to the actual true problem. Believing that some things, like revenge and pushing boundaries, could potentially "solve" mistakes. Shifting blame without acknowledging any fault they've done themselves. Even after their defeat, they simply can't let go of the past, WPNZ with the kids and Puzzles with Leggy. They believed they moved on, and though it's true in some parts, they're still stuck in the past. All dealt with in an unhealthy way.

And now with each other. Realistically, they won't know much of each other's past but slowly, some things may start to come up and eventually, they believe that they're probably the only ones who understand each other. Not that it would be true, but it's likely what they're going to believe, again in a very unhealthy way. A level of understanding that they only know.

This is where the OG bladerunner scene comes in (see? I told you it would)! Based on what I know, and hopefully I got some points right, is that the announcement for the holographic companion (Joi) is persuading the protagonist (K) by forming itself to look like K's ex from a previous romantic relationship. The fact that Cube tweeted this meme in the middle of the hitman arc without context, the movie literally having an eerily similar scene, and then the Team ACTUALLY recreating the meme into a render, this was intentional. Fr explain to me why did the Team chose to use that (bisexual) lighting when they could've chosen any other colors? Why did they decide to recreate the meme at all?

The details they chose are intentional but not in the way most think (hitshow). With the original context in mind, the reality is that WPNZ is being persuaded with the ideal life, one where WPNZ could be with his kids and ex-wife. That his problems could be "fixed" with what's essentially a toxic option. After all, he was left broken and betrayed in the streets, still stuck in his mindset. Karen literally destroyed him limb to limb. Hitman Inc.? WPNZ was an expendable asset, they don't give a shit about him.

And yet, it seemed like someone did. She was there. Perhaps he can be fixed up again, everything could be fixed. The life just as he wants it to be, if he takes her deal. But like the bladerunner scene, it's not real. What they thought would truly make them happy, it's not what they really want. And even then, what else can they do when they only have each other? If what was done to them is done? If they believe there's no choice otherwise?

There's no such thing as "fixing", but healing. That's what they don't see.

That's the potential I basically see. Oh, it's going to be toxic as hell, no doubt about it, but it sure will be an interesting dynamic to see in the show! It's just so fascinating to me, and it doesn't necessarily mean it's meant to be viewed as romantic.

I might be hearing an angry mob with pitchforks coming my way for what I said, but do ask yourselves: is there a chance, no matter how small, for WPNZ and/or Puzzles to have a redemption arc? Not what the Team plans, not what other people think. Not if they deserve it, bc it wouldn't be classified as redemption.

Is there a chance at redemption?

Probability-wise, yes. There is a chance. They would just have to recognize their own faults, that their childhoods were fucked-up, and that the mindset constantly reminded them isn't right or healthy for them. Once again, redemption is their choice. If they let themselves see past the fog, there's a way. Forgiveness (and remembering) are other things that most people usually get stuck on and possibly confuse it with redemption. If WPNZ redeems himself in the future, it's Karen's choice to forgive him. If Meggy or even 4 chooses to forgive Puzzles after a redemption, that's their choice. Not everyone's willing to forgive, and that's fine. It's real. At the end of the day, it's their choice that they have to come to their own terms. Not even the audience could force them to make a decision. Like Karen said, some things aren't unforgivable. Some things we can't forget. We ourselves have made thousands of mistakes, probably done things that unintentionally hurt others. You've done them, I have too. We are human, they are too. All of them.

It doesn't necessarily mean they're justifiable, but understandable. That's why 3's redemption is also so fascinating to me. He's done terrible things for an understandable motive, and he chooses to change for himself, not for anyone else. From greedy desires to acts of selflessness, though he doesn't outright admit it, he does care. I've already praised the Team SO many times about design details, but the progression of 3's model from blue to purple to represent his change to be his own person, it's absolutely brilliant.

The only difference is that while the Crew has each other for support, WPNZ and Puzzles don't. We know why that is, we're shown why that is. But they could, if they let themselves. Not that they have to join the Crew, they can go on with a better way of life. There's simply a chance to change, it just takes time and effort to find it.

.......I do hope it didn't sound like me going around in circles. I just think a WPNZ and Puzzles team-up would be cool to see. I know hitshow's not gonna be canon (it's not, guys, I'm pretty sure) but like. that's the whole point of shipping? As long as there's no harm, it's fine. welp, fuck it, I'm calling hitshow toxic yuri now.

...but WPNZ isn't.....?

WPNZ can be fem now, or I can label WPNZ as honorary lesbian. People are already coming for my head for the whole redemption thing, so I might as well pick my poison. You can always call it toxic love for gender neutral anyway. I ain't going to change to say "they don't deserve redemption" or something like that, I'll die on this hill.

Some people change, good for them. And some don't, and that's okay too! But don't deny that chance!

Plus, I do wanna see fics and fanart of them acting like a bickering old married couple. And maybe they kiss as a treat. Anyway, friend, you already said so much about WPNZ/Puzzles/hitshow, and I love reading your posts, but I did wanna to say a few things not only about what I see in hitshow but to also support you! "extra based", I'm pretty sure I'm not but thanks anyway, that's really touching to know that you feel heard. Here, bud, have some hugs 🫂💙 /very pos /gen

And to everyone else, stories are grounded in reality. While it's a "silly meme show", the Team does take some real issues into the show. Not ALL but some, and I appreciate that. I just hope yall could understand things aren't always black and white, or an easy path. There can be a change.

Ultimately, the choice is yours.

“Ah.” Isla sighed, dropping her phone to her chest, and looking up at the ceiling. She was sitting on the couch in the New York apartment, Y/n had come over and was walking down the stairs when she saw Isla, “What was that love sick look about?” The woman asked, in a teasing voice. 

“Oh, um.. N- nothing.” “Who are they?” Y/n asked, completely disregarding isla’s defence. And coming to sit down next to the girl, forgetting she came down to get her and Eddie drinks. 

“His name’s Walker..” Isla grinned, not being able to stop it when talking about Walker, especially not with Y/n they were too close and comfortable with each other now. “..and we’ve been friends for a couple years, and he’s really cute, and I really like him.”

At Isla’s little rant, Y/n sprung into action, “Okay, I’m gonna go get what I came down here to get for Eddie then I’m coming straight back and we’ll talk about this.” “Okay.” 

Quickly gathering the ice tea Eddie and her wanted, pouring herself some, and getting Eddie a couple snacks to occupy him, not knowing how long this talk with Isla will last. Then saying a quick ‘one sec.’ to Isla, she ran upstairs, opening the door and finding Eddie where he was before. 

“Thank you, angel. Hey, where's yours?” “Downstairs.” Coming to sit on Eddie lap, facing the man, with a serious face on. “What’s wrong?” “Nothings wrong. Just… I wanted to talk to you before I talk to Isla, she wants my advice on a boy, and don’t go be overprotective dad on her. That’s exactly what she doesn’t want. But I need to know what you're okay with me saying, or if you're not okay with me saying anything, and I won’t.”

Smiling, and placing a quick, chaste kiss on his girl’s lips before replying, “Baby, thank you for asking me. I’m fine with you talking to her. So who is he?” “She said his name is Walker? That someone from school or-” “That kid?! Oh well, I don’t think that kid has a bad bone in his body. So yeah, you can.. Give her advice.. On a boy. Geez” “You’re getting old, baby.” Giving the girl a pinch on the ass, causing a jolt of the girl's body and a laugh coming out of her lips, before she continues, “Okay. I’m going. I love you” A quick kiss on her soft lips, and in getting an ‘I love you too’ Y/n walks out of the room, running down the stairs to see where Isla is still sitting. 

“Okay! Tell me everything.”

“I just don’t know how you tell a guy you like him.” Nodding in understanding, she mumbles, “It’s hard.” “...How old were you when you got your first boyfriend?” “Umm.. I was 15.” “Did you ask him out or did he ask you?” “He asked me.” The girls were now on the floor, Y/n painting Isla’s toenails, drinking ice tea, and eating popcorn, ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ on in the background. 

“Of course he did, cause you’re beautiful. No way he would ask me out.” “Hey. Isla, you are beautiful. And gorgeous, and amazing, and smart. Besides from what you’ve told me about Walker. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did really like you, like you like him, but was just too nervous to say anything.” “Shut up.” Isla says, her face permanently red at this point with how long they’ve been talking about her love life. 

“And guys like when girls take charge and ask them out.” “But we’ve been friends for years, and I don’t want to ruin that.” A completely logical argument, one Y/n had used on her friends years ago. Now switching to paint Isla’s other set of toes red, thinking about what she can say, to satisfy Isla’s need for a solution. “Hey! Why don’t you ask him to hang out here, just the two of you?” “And have Dad hovering over us the whole time? No way!” 

Adjusting her position on the floor, getting more comfortable before continuing, “We’ll what if it was me? A day where you’re Dad will be out and I can come over, you guys take the living room and I’ll stay out of your way upstairs?” “Omg! You can do that?! Please Y/n, please!” “I’ll have to ask Eddie, and if he says no then it’s no.” “Okay! Go! Go! Ask him now!” “I have to finish your toenails!” “I can do that. Go ask my Dad, then if he says yes you have to come help me draft a text to him!” “Okay!”

Hopefully running up the stairs for the last time today, Y/n walks into Eddie’s room, smiling, hoping that might sway Eddie slightly. “I thought you would never come back. What have you been doing down there?” “Painting nails, watching rom-coms, stuffing our faces, the usual for a girls night. But I have to ask you something.” Y/n says, sitting next to Eddie on his bed, pushing his laptop off his lap, in order to have his full attention for this. 

“Why do I feel like it’s going to be something I’ll want to say ‘no’ to?” “Well.. Maybe.. Maybe not.” “That was very reassuring.” “Listen, Isla wants to invite Walker here, to hang out, but she doesn’t want her Dad there-” “We’ll she can’t be alone with a boy.” “You said there wasn’t a bad bone in his body.” Y/n said obviously teasing. not wanting Eddie to think that’s what she was suggesting, “Well he’s still a teenage boy.” “Off topic. I was thinking that maybe, the next best thing for her would be if it was me here. They could stay in the living room, and I’ll just hang out upstairs or something, so I can hear what they’re doing but not hover.” A couple seconds of silence was too long in Y/n’s opinion for this subject. 

“Okay.” “Really?” “Yes, but they can’t go in her room, and you keep the door open of any room they’re in.” “Of course, baby! I want what's best for her." "I know." "Oh Eds, she’ll be so happy!” “I hate this.” “I know, but she’s growing up.” “I know.” “I’m gonna go tell Isla the good news!” Y/n says, running out of the room. Before quickly turning around going to the side of the bed Eddie was on, giving the man a lengthy kiss and whispering an ‘I love you’

“What did he say?!” The question is yelled at the woman, as soon as she’s back in sight. “You’ll be happy.” “Really?!” “Yes.” “Oh my god! Oh my god. We have to figure out what I’m gonna text him.”

“-and no going upstairs, and if you go in any room together the door stays open. Understand?” “Yes, Dad. Now go, I have to get ready.” Pushing her Dad towards the door, not wanting him here any longer. 

“Can I say goodbye first?” “If you must.” 

Walking over to Y/n, giving her a peck on her soft lips, then dipping his head down to whisper in the girl's ear, “Please keep an eye on them.” “Of course, Eds, it’s gonna be fine.” With that piece of mind and one last kiss and an ‘i love you’, Eddie walks back towards the door that was already held open for him by his wonderful and loving daughter. “Bye hun, love you.” “Love you too, Dad. Bye!”

Shutting the door and turning to the woman standing at the staircase, “You need to get me ready, and tell me what to wear.”

“I can’t believe you let me do this!”

Y/n sat at the kitchen island, watching as Isla paced in front of her. Isla was a wreck as soon as Y/n started getting her ready 30 minutes ago, just after Eddie left for the recording studio. “You are going to be fine.” Y/n said, to nonchalant for Isla’s taste, “You’re too calm!” “The guy I like isn’t coming over.” ‘Well-” Isla was cut off by the sound of the buzzer, “Hey Isla, it’s Walker” running over to the panel on the wall to buzz the boy in, “Hey! Come up… That was too excited, I’m gonna mess this up.” “Isla. In my experience, if you ask a guy to hang out alone they think it’s a date. In a man’s brain ‘hang out alone’ and ‘date’ are synonyms, so the fact he said yes to this, I’m sure he’s just as nervous as you.” “Okay.. Thanks, Y/n”

Interrupted by the doorbell, Isla gave Y/n a quick hug, running to the door. Of course, flattening her hair before opening the door. “Hey, Walker.” “Hey.” And being teenagers who like each other, Y/n swoops in to save the conversation. “Hi, I’m Y/n it’s nice to meet you, Walker.” “It’s nice to meet you too.” “Okay! The living room is free, I’ll be upstairs, and I’ll order pizza later. Walker, cheese or vegetarian good?” “Yeah.” “Okay! Have fun.”

Within only a couple minutes, Y/n could hear the conversation flowing and not wanting to eavesdrop, putting on a show to watch.

About 40 minutes later, pausing the show she was watching to go to the bathroom, Y/n cannot hear anything from downstairs. And she was sure she knew what was happening, but she promised Eddie she would keep an eye on them and at the end of the day Y/n was a curious bitch. 

Creeping slowly down the stairs, not making a sound. Y/n stops abruptly seeing Isla and Walker sharing a small kiss on the couch, in true awkward teenage fashion, Isla’s hands at her sides and Walker's hand on her upper back, the other at his side. 

Walking back up the stairs, and waiting a moment the woman makes an over exaggerated amount of noise. Not wanting to embarrass the two that she saw them, “I ordered the pizza! One large cheese, one large vegetarian, and one medium meat lover for your Dad. But Walker, you're welcome to have some of that.” “Thanks Y/n.” Isla said, giving Y/n a look that said ‘go away, this is the same reason I didn’t want my Dad here’ but both of them know that Eddie would be way worse. “Okay.. That’s all, back to it.”

As soon as the door closes, Isla jumps around and lets out a squeal that was close to deafening. “Oh my god! I’m so happy you got me to do that!” “So what led up to that kiss?” “Oh! I knew you saw it! God- that’s so embarrassing.” “Hey, I get it. I was a teenage girl once. And I did way more embarrassing things. Come on sit.” Patting the couch cushion next to her, “I wanna know everything.”

Ive seen a lot of bitching about hotd in the tag, which surprised me bc there was none of this two weeks ago and now all these ppl are acting like season 2 sucks and its badly written and its rewriting the books and bla bla. This surprised me, so i did a little snooping

Like. First off, isnt grrm consulting them this time? I know he was doing it for s1 and im sure i read he was doing s2 too. I cant say anything about bad writing, tbh i havent examined it that closely bc nothing about pacing or dialogue has bothered me enough to spend time thinking about it.

The "its not like the book!!!" Thing really bothers me though bc have you read the book? Lmao im not so sure bc some of the stuff you complain about is so weird, also how did you miss that fire & blood has deeply unreliable narrators? It literally says gyldayn is an unreliable narrator on the Wikipedia, hes taking a bunch of biased sources and kind of patches the history of house targaryen together. If you had read the book, youd KNOW that it isnt a definitive chronicle and stuff was likely altered, embellished and left out. Some of the alterations make sense, because why would some maester know about these ppls private lives. Fire and blood is full of propaganda, rumours and bias. Also the stuff that WAS changed isnt really that deep? I really like the change to the rhaenicent dynamic (ill come back to this, theres a reason ppl seem to hate this change lmao), i dont care about maelor and the nettes changes dont bother me that much? (Some ppl are convinced rhaena will get the ENTIRE nettles storyline. Which would indeed suck cough cough, but i dont think thats where theyre going at all lmao)

So i took a look at some of the other opinions of ppl who really really HATE s2 and, WOOOOOOWWWWW,there sure is a lot of homophobia on the yuri Website huh? All of a sudden it makes sense why these ppl popped up 2 weeks ago huh? (And why theyre so bitchy about the changes to alicents character not being a wicked stepmother but more of an... almost lover) Wow, what a fucking pathetic reason to be a hater. Awww nooooooooo this female character is kissing women noooo, theyre ruined!! Even though the relationship was kind of maybe sort of a little implied in the book. (Granted the book talks about a close relationship between rhaenyra, mysaria and DAMON, but see above for rumours and inaccuracies) Also there are a lot of ppl who were genuinely Team green (i did not realise those ppl existed unironically, gonna be honest) who are mad that Team green is portrayed more negatively than Team black and apparently thats unfair. Yeah, idk what to say about that, do you always expect to opposing sides of a fictional conflict to be treated the same and to be equally good and justified? Granted, the "pick a side" Marketing was dumb and encouraged this sort of thinking, but those two teams are not equal lol you can still like the characters even though theyre cheaters, usurpers and Bad ppl.

If you had genuinely read and UNDERSTOOD the books and that theyre full of propaganda you would understand why SOME PPL are either portrayed more positively or more negatively in the show than they were in the book. Just consider WHO was writing the history for one sec.

Yeah, rant over, this was just too ridiculous not to get off my chest.

Like yeah, you can criticise some of the changes and the simple fact that 8 ep seasons are SHIT for building a plot, but considering some ppl call an ep "filler" just because nobody got roasted by a dragon, maybe we dont deserve 20 ep seasons with a slow building of plot and tension anymore....

“Maybe we should get you to a doctor.” Buck muses, wrapping the blanket over Eddie’s shoulders.

“I don’t need- I just closed my eyes for a second. I’m fine.” he grumbles, fumbling with the blanket too long to want to actually throw it off, but he does in the end – he’s cold and refuses to admit it, and he’d rather sit here and pretend he’s fine. He’s impossible.

“Eddie, that cough did not sound fine.” he points out. 

“Buck-” he sneezes, and then wraps the sleeves of his hoodie over his palms. Buck raises his eyebrow, and Eddie pointedly avoids his eyes, as he not-so-discreetly wipes his nose with a sleeve. 

“I bought tissues.” Buck reaches for the bag and digs out a box, then tries to give it to Eddie, who, instead of taking it, just levels him with a stare, as he sniffles loudly, and swipes a sleeve under his nose again. “Seriously? You’re gonna be gross and disgusting just to prove you’re not sick?” That’s a new level of stubborn Buck hasn’t seen from Eddie yet. He can’t believe this is the man his heart decided it wants. And that even while sick and gross and stubborn and ridiculous, a part of Buck is still endeared by him.

“I’m not.” Eddie insists, sounding so congested Buck swears he can feel it in his own sinuses. “Let me just finish my coffee, and then I-” another sneeze. “Have so much to do today.” he finishes, but at least this time he reaches for the tissues, looking anywhere but at Buck, cheeks red.

“Yeah, no, all you’re gonna do today is rest and take some medicine.” Buck says decisively, then takes the bag in his hand, and slowly starts walking to the kitchen. “Get comfortable, and I’ll just put this all away and be right back. I bought meds, tissues, and something to cook you some soup-” he starts listing off, getting louder the further he gets. “Oh, and stopped by the farmer’s market to get honey. Did you know that honey has antioxidant and antibacterial properties?” he asks excitedly, ready to tell Eddie every single thing he found in his quick research. Buck learned a long time ago that with Eddie he doesn’t need to hold back and can rant and ramble all he wants, and Eddie is happy to listen to him.

“Yeah?” Eddie yells back, voice hoarse and strained. Buck can hear the couch shift as Eddie gets comfortable, maybe even finally lays down. He knows Eddie won’t just give in and admit he’s sick, but this is a start. “Why don’t you tell me all about it?” he sounds genuinely interested, though also really tired. 

“I will, just a sec! I’ll make you some tea with lemon and honey, how’s that sound?” he asks, and gets a grunt in response, though he’s not sure if that’s an answer, or if Eddie’s just trying to suppress a cough in an attempt to hide that he’s sick, as if Buck didn’t already know. He chuckles to himself. He really has his work cut out for him today.

ok this headcanon i mostly associate with rainbow quest but its for the steve saga too i just dont think abt it as much

so like

headcanon time !!

the steves and their individual colors mainly represent a certain thing yk but a headcanon i thought up that i rlly like is that theres different shades of steves for each color (for example a cyan blue vs a deep like royal blue or navy blue) and they can be based off or have powers associating with different things that has to do with that color...

like in the steve saga blue steves were VERY water based and i LOVE LOVE the blue steves representing spirit in rq but where did the water fellas go..

so this obviously isnt limited to this but heres a few ideas for dif powers or things they represent different colored steves could have !

red- wisdom/knowledge, redstone/electronics/machinery, fire/lava, explosions, possibly war and or bloodshed

orange- creativity, fire/lava, the sun,

yellow (theres no yellow color option sigh)- power, electricity, the sun, light, desert/arid landscapes, sand

green- health/healing, plants, earth, life, calm/peace

blue- spirit (also i feel like spirit based blues could connect with souls that havent passed on and maybe connection indigos too, and like they could try to help settle their spirit.. :3) , water, ice, air, ocean, sky

indigo- connection, empathy, the end/endermen/teleportation/the end city (idk how to describe it??)

violet- love, empathy, heart

indigo and violet (and orange) i have the least on so far bc i ran out of ideas :( sighhh

again its not limited to these just these are the main ideas i had and also i feel like these could make the steves a lot more diverse, even though its probably more confusing

But he's good at it, and he's good at helping people And Mercer isn't! haha lol He's more worried about us, so obviously, more reserved But he could do the same i believe. Rougher maybe, more annoyed, but will get us away. I guess think of it like a bomb, Marvus would de-arm it, like talking down someone, while Mercer would run, cuz it doesn't know how to fucking defuse a bomb Oh man, funny analogy time I guess it's like... me mal and chix are like the lil sibling playing a game right, and ur on a hard level So you get ur big sib, in this case Mar and Mer, to help you beat the stage :) (I took another hit of cart, its 2:39 at this part of my writing)
