HWHUGHWUGHGGHUGH . ok i definitely had stuff planned out for this at one point but my brain is swiss cheese so im gonna fuck it we ball

friend at one point kinda stumbled into the mindset of "if i want to be a hero i need to be like swears" bc trying to be Themself uhhhh. got them fuckin Blasted in annihilate. among other things. except trying to copy swears / fill in for them when they got shattered did Basically Nothing bc sovereign just kinda Ignored Them and they feel like they made things worse instead

(what friend is good at is. being literally friend-shaped. theyre just a little guy and they try to connect with people and are more emotional rather than physical. this is something i didnt get to explore much but that i would love to riff on more if i ever redid ja&b)

so yknow. eventually in a story arc we didnt do, friend manages to save the day through the power of love ([swears voice] and this really big triangle i found) but still feels like they arent doing anything Right. and it takes swears, who is more action than thought, a bit to finally catch on to What The Issue Is bc even though stuff should be fine now For Some Reason It Isn't

swears is really, really bad at any sort of emotional conversation. their go-to is snarky jabs and irreverent quips and distancing themself from Feelings as much as possible. this is why the duet Get Along Shirt situation was such a nightmare for them bc they kinda Couldnt, or at least not for long. so it would be awkward, and clumsy, but they eventually fumble their way into telling friend that theyre proud of them and never thought any less of them, even with all of the blunders along the way. because friend's got their back! so theyll have friend's in return. and its literally been that way Since They Were Made. theyre a package deal do not separate etc etc.

omg do you guys wanna hear about the church family tree from my rvb fantasy au. i spent quite a bit of time working it out bc, since its fantasy, theres no ai and i had to figure out how it would translate lol

this will contain mild spoilers for my au but a) it doesnt exist yet and b) most of them are derived from the plot of rvb so theyre kind of already spoiled. so. anyway, on to the actual post

ok so first off. church (alpha) has DID. so all the ai fragments exist but theyre no longer ai and theyre in his head the whole time. and this includes beta!tex (tentatively called beth? since tex also exists. we'll get to that). it also includes epsilon which will be. interesting. i have some ideas for how to handle that but its kinda besides the point.

the director is churchs father, and allison is churchs mother (who dies when church is a kid). the director is also carolinas father, but carolina has a different mother, so church and carolina are half siblings. tex was also raised by the director but she is not blood related to any of them - she bears a coincidental resemblance to allison (in personality, not necessarily physical appearance), which is why the director favours her over carolina (keeping the carolina/tex favourite child tension, of course). i havent worked out exactly when the director took in tex, but if it was early enough that the director named her, he probably would have named her allison (i mean, he also named his son after himself in this au. you know he'd do it, ESPECIALLY if allison is already dead at this point) and she chooses to go by tex or smth. alternatively, the director named her tex the same way he named the other freelancers like washington and york, keeping the whole "leaving your old name (read: old self) behind when you join the freelancers" thing from canon, meaning that her previous name (and whether she had one at all) is irrelevant. hmmm now that i say that, its probably the latter tbh

now, i may keep beth being based on allison, but while i know what an introject is, i dont know if i feel comfortable really. representing one. so it may not be CANON canon but itll probably be canon to me. additionally, church is raised separately from carolina, tex, and eventually the other freelancers [the freelancers are kinda like a family in this au btw. but like a fucked up hierarchal one. and church is completely isolated from it even though the director is "raising" him. anyway] for plot reasons, but he coincidentally runs into tex one day as kids and they meet in secret for years until tex eventually helps him escape the director. which is to say. beth will likely pick up traits/mannerisms from tex just by virtue of tex being churchs only friend in childhood, combined with the fact that allison and tex are kind of similar in personality. so shes blood related to allison and potentially an introject of her, and has spent a lot of time with tex/knows her very well, so shes gonna have similarities to both of them but she is ultimately her own person. in churchs head.

uhhhh i think that covers it? anyway this means i get to write interactions between tex and beth which will be extremely fun. i like tex as a character and itll probably be difficult to decide how to characterize her in 2 different ways (plus allison but shes gonna be dead for most of it so i dont really have to worry about her) and then to have them interact? they would be chaotic besties i just KNOW it

Pick a character I’ve written and I will explain the top ~three to five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while writing that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them.

Hilda's stubborn to a fault! If she believes in something she'll go all the way, regardless of any danger or consequences. She summoned the dead for a book. She snuck out to a fairy mound for her dad.

She's got a lot of pride in what she does! Hilda will be genuinely upset if someone makes fun of the work she's doing, even if it's teasingly. A good example is how she takes a lot of Johanna's worrying as an insult when it's a mom trying to keep her daughter safe.

Ride or die but like. Literally. She will ride until she dies. She literally refused to stop a time worm from eating her because it made her neighbor happy. Again; the fucking fairy mound. She'll run with her friends to the end of the earth and then jump off to protect them.

Bad luck haunts this boy so fucking hard, he's just learned to accept it.

David is ride or die but also he's gonna complain about it. He's gonna complain so fucking hard. But he'll be there.

Unironically the brain cell of this group. I know Frida's the book-smart character but David is the one with the common sense and general 'hey let's maybe nooootttt risk our lives?'

The hothead of the trio. Frida likes things to go exactly as she planned and can get legitimately upset when they don't. She's a perfectionist and it shows.

Ride or die but like. In the sense that she doesn't think the dying will actually occur. She's here for the action and she's got this neat spell to try out but she rarely considers it actual, life-threatening danger.

Strong common sense but in the "obviously a cross is not enough to fight a vampire, let's bring garlic" of way instead of the "maybe we just avoid the vampire???" kind of way.

Brightfur tries her best to be a supportive, understanding mentor to Dewpaw because she didn't have one of those growing up. She wants him to love his job! She wants him to love his powers!

No longer goes against Ravenwind in obvious ways but instead in little ones. She teaches the nursery to avoid poisonings. She gets rid of every deathberry in the den. She's systematic in making sure no one is alone with her mentor except herself.

Brightfur's pelt is noticeably darker the happier she is. As a kit she's so dark she's almost brown. As an adult she's almost white. This is because she's spent so much time out of the sun and in her den, worrying. It'll eventually mellow out into a dull yellow.

so basically vague handwavey idea that I think its some time into like, the point a lot of the meta-fandom narrative has gotten to, some time down the line after a lot of the initial Mess post-martinaise smooths out into something that looks normalish, or at least isn't an immediate crisis. harry is on a sober streak, [the Hetero-Sexual Life Partners are at the very least not constantly trying to kill each other (kim has had a Talk with Jean, who is mostly just privately seething and malding now and feeling incredibly sorry for himself). ] <OR> [there was an Incident where Jean got really REALLY sorry for himself and made a whole fucking scene and basically tried to kill himself, heavily based on a fic i read (called Trigger Warning) it kinda woobifies jean a bit but other than that its soooo fucking good but tl;dr the jobwives have made up and ] kim and jean are kind of both Harry's partner in ways? jean is still a satellite officer but a lot of times he gets paired up with Harry and kim and they're kind of the nightmare blunt rotation right now.

soooo again handwaves somehow one of the old cases Kim's partner left behind that was left cold picks up a lead again out of the blue and Kim is. well. he's normally a workaholic but this is intense even for him. like Jesus. nobody at the 41st has seen him like this. he doesn't sleep for days on end. (maybe he picks up speed? from jean? he considers doing it in-game to improve his Performance so I don't think thats above him).

anyway rock meet hard place Harry finally gets the poor sod to take a god damn break and go home, he and jean can sort out his disaster area of a desk and cover for him. Kim obliges, goes home and- OH SHIT WHO IS THAT! uhhh its all very vague in my head here but tl;dr Kim gets jumped maybe? nd this was all some sort of like. Ploy? to uhh . idk I think maybe the moralintern is involved in ways. but uh eyes is alive and was an espionage and faked his death and is now like. idrk yet if He stabbed Kim or what, or why its all even. happening in the first place. and tbh its not important to me cause I'm never gonna write it, I don't plan to its just something to play with at night to fall asleep.

important bit is now Kim is Leaking Everywhere and well. doesn't exactly have time to call gotlieb. so. he stitches himself up (NOT THAT WELL) and trudges back to the precinct to report to pryce. understandably people are freaked out by the Blood and stuff. harry comes with Kim to the briefing. shit gets Revealed. Kim dissociate. harry is like uhhhh okay well his home isn't safe anymore. jean can he crash on your couch can you drive us there while I sit in the back with him. and jean is like. fuck. okay. and yeah Kim kinda comes back into it on the ride there, has a Teensy Weensy (HUGEBADMASSIVE) panic attack, eventually calms down enough to clamber out of the car and. jeans apartment is 4 floors up and there's no elevator. hell on earth. Kim refuses to be helped up but 2 floors up he trips and let's jean help him, then they get to the top and Kim is like. Jean. and jean is like what- ohgodyoureunconsciousnowokayharryopenthedoor. and uhhh the rest is pure self indulgent "the boys nurse him back to health mwah" but way messier obvs. like fully "ok I have to take out the stitches you did and restitch you, throw back this glass of whiskey and try not to vomit on me. oh well he passed out. at least he's not feeling it?" and yeah.

anyway there's a Conversation between jean and harry at one point because the through line here is that harry is trying to keep his Boys safe but he doesn't know how they can keep doing This *gestures to the cop thing* and so jean is like okay well are we gonna work the case without him orrrrr and harry is like I am NOT moving a MUSCLE until Kim is 100% okay. he stayed with me for 2 days after I got shot. and jean is like okay bye- and harry is like no listen. I don't. we are killing ourselves here. and jean is like yeah? point? and harry is like maybe we. shouldn't. and they have a whole argument about it but that wakes up Kim who eats shit trying to get up and they both like rush in to make sure he didn't fuck up the new stitches or bust his head open right, and Kim is like. okay conflict resolution time. refuses to back down until everything is explained in detail to him even if he's still loopy. anddddd tl;dr Kim agrees with harry and idk what happens next but there u go

(For the uninitiated, we used to play games sometimes where we'd write silly stories using the pictures on the cards instead of doing a serious reading! I stopped offering that option as much once I started getting more takers each night. It takes longer to come up with a story, especially a stupid one. And this is about to be really stupid.)

OKAY so once upon a time there was a soldier who was like "Gosh, it sure does seem like the five of swords is a card of conflict and pyrrhic victory. That seems like kind of a downer so fuck that," and instead he went on an adventure.

As it turns out, though, learning to handle a sword offers up limited career opportunities, and he eventually turned to the circus, where he learned how to do sword swallowing. While there, he met a very beautiful lion tamer. He was very certainly down to clown (no circus pun intended) but as it turned out, she was largely uninterested.

Broken-hearted and without access to a therapist who would've helped him work through his emotions, he fled the circus that had become his home and instead went to The Big City of... um... Milwaukee. Sure.

He lurked the streets of Milwaukee, drowning his sorrows in cheese curds and beer, and he was generally directionless until one day he came across a lady with a baby.

To his surprise, the baby was kind of the brains of the operation here. Its eyes glowed and it spoke in a deep voice and the lady was just one of its many minions that stole cash, jewels, and baby formula for it.

The ex-soldier ex-geek was like "holy shit" and I mean. He was gonna peace out, obviously, but then he really thought about it. He'd followed a king and he'd followed a ring master, and both of them had kind of sucked. So was a demon baby thing really that much worse?

Okay so, I've never listened to a single episode of The Magnus Archives, but I've seen quite a few posts about it cross my dashboard over the years. So I know... something about it? Maybe?

Anyways I'm caught up on my regular podcasts and I'm bored so I figure I'll give TMA a shot, but before I do I want to record my vague idea about what it is for posterity and also cause it'll probably be funny how incorrect I am.

Jonathan Sims is a guy who's job it is to listen to people tell him about weird fucked up shit that happens and decide if it's paranormal or not. Jonathan Sims is gay, and he has a crush on his coworker...who's name I forgot, but I'm just gonna call him Jeff

Jonathan Sims is very unhappy because he doesn't believe in the paranormal, but he has to work for a paranormal job, and also he's being pestered by avatars of abstract concepts like "The Hunt" or "Fear" or "Spiders"

Jeff is less melancholy because he believes in the supernatural and thinks it's cool to work with spooky stuff. He might also be some sort of reanimated dead body, idk if that's canon or just an AU I've seen some of art of.

There's an old lady who's an avatar of something, maybe spiders? She laughs at Jonathan a lot.

Jonathan eventually becomes an avatar of... something? He's got a lot of eyeballs and he has to worry if eating people's memories is halal or not. Again, possibly just a headcanon.

Everyone ships Jonathan and Jeff, and writes about them being a cute happy ending couple, but also the podcast itself is a horror podcast so like, at some point the writers had to make a statement to the effect of "Hey so we know you like these characters but keep in mind this is a horror story we're writing, those don't always have happy endings, so uhhhh please don't dogpile us for doing a "bury your gays" trope cause that's not what we're doing and any tragedy that may or may not happen is genre appropriate Kay?"

ooogh. okay. actually i never included this in the ask meme. mm,,, how do i want to handle this. hm. i thiiink.. hibiki and kanade deserve some time to be estranged from each other. obvi this is again, within how i choose to write them. so i dont think this will be a relatable take. buuuut yeah. sometimes the best thing for siblings is to not be siblings for a bit. if anyone asks they just share a last name but have no relation. i think that would be good

i have a very normal relationship with my siblings (<- only child who used to be a younger sibling. that is what i am choosing.)

How i feel about their canonical writing/handling

mmmm,, she is so so so fucking system and i really wish she belonged to anyone but linuj. do u guys remember when i said hm maybe the otono twins were abused by their parents and thats why kanade took control of the situation by hurting the one person she could who would always have to be around her? and then a few months later linuj was like oh kanade is just born evil shes inherently bad because i think thats fun and cool^^ ? i remember. i remember very well.

i think,, hibiki was just ultimately underused. and like. it sucks and was bullshit what happened but also i Understand it within what it did narratively. even if i think linuj kinda dicked up the way it couldve affected the tone of the game. buuut. really the largest disservice that happened was like. the way she ultimately had no agency. according to linuj, no matter what, kanade would be Like That, and hibiki would get hurt, and the end. im not saying what happened to her was her fault, thats not what i mean when i say she has no agency, i mean. there was no in universe reason for what happened, not at the end of the day. she was doomed from conception in and out of universe and it just sucks and makes her feel flat because u cant even go what if not without completely ignoring the way linuj writes a wholeass character. hoping that all makes sense?

buuut yeah. tldr. she couldve been vv well written and handled well, even with her ultimate fate staying the same. but by admitting there's absolutely no way hibiki could have made it out okay, not even a "well, the cards would never line up like this, but if x had happened, and then y, then kanade would've fucked off", but making it that no matter what, kanade is gonna do what she did. it just kinda leaves a bad taste about things

I've written and RP'd all of these anon XD i really like all kinds of vore (as longs as its GT and oral).

Let me first rank these (A-F like a grade?) and then I'll site specific moments from stories i've written and RP'd.

- Punishment vore. Good shit. B+ i say, its cathartic.

- Revenge vore. This can pair with punishment. A+, revenge is a dish best served tasty.

- Torture (both physical & psychological) vore. Yonah literally does this??? A+. Traumatize the prey thanks.

- Long-term belly imprisonment. Im saying B. Its not my favorite but damn its fucking crazy i do love just extreme nature of it.

- Fatal vore. Yeah??? I used to be averse to fatal, it squicked me out. now im like "KILL THE BITCH" though I'm still gonna rank it A an not A+ because sometimes it still bothers me depending on the situation.

Now for Story/RP highlights!!!

Punishment Vore: to be fair this can range from safe to fatal. Yonah used to punish Sophia by eating her but over time this uhhhh no longer worked unless there was an intense reason sophia didnt want to be stuck inside Yonah's stomach. Usually bc there was something she wanted to do or see but nope, time out.

Revenge Vore: I see this as fatal, i dont really see how revenge vore could be dark/cruel without it. Otherwise it's just friendly getting back at someone. Anyways See Return of the Dragon King Part 1: Prison Break. Yonah chows down on the guards that tortured him. good revenge that. If I eventually get to it, yonah will get to eat Tobi's dad (who was the second in command of the facility).

Torture: In my RP sessions Yonah is often the body guard to a powerful politician and will torture prisoners/assassins/spies with her. Eating spies whole and not giving them safety charms but spitting them up partially digested but not dead. rinse and repeat. Biting off limbs, stuff like that.

Long Term Belly Imprisonment. Now that's an interesting one. Haven't played around with it much because I havent designed preds which that's really... possible. Though you could argue Yonah keeping someone overnight is "long term" ish. but i suspect you mean longer. I have done this in RP.

In one RP we had the characters kinda stuck in a limbo on a ship in the ocean and Sophia and the King of the Giants had to hunt down an assassin as everyone on the ship slept due to Yonah activating a sleeping beauty curse. Except the King of Giants was in a pocket of subspace (put there to avoid the curse). Sophia found the assassin and shoves them into the pocket dimension and The King ate them. The curse lasted THIRTY DAYS (i suggested 30 years LOL). Even after the curse was broken the assassin stayed in the King's belly as they sailed back to shore and was released a few days after arriving back in the Giant Kingdom. (this also counts as revenge/punishment to if you didnt notice)

I absolutely loved this entire little shenanigan and I want to write it really badly.

Fatal: So ive not posted many fatal stories, but oh boy, have I RP'd a lot of it. It's made me more comfortable with it in fact. pre-2020 me was still not super comfy with it but now im like fuck yeah!!! My RPs often revolve around fatal revenge/punishment set ups. taking down character's parents who want to train them as super soldiers, eating a circus ringmaster who used yonah as a side show monster (who was fed audience members. yup. fatally). These stories often have a healthy dose of Safe as well, fatal for revenge and punishment, safe for comfort and cuddling. Or protection! Even in the stories where the fatal was central to plot moreso than the safe. Example with the circus one is that after freeing all the other side-show monsters they all travel to a safe haven. but one of the monsters is a Naga who cannot handle the cold nights and has to be eaten by Yonah to stay warm :D

I've never seen what magic usage looks like in VADD but if I were to build a magic system for that setting I'd do one where magic is harnessed/activated via complex arrays and formulas and equations, an incomplete one won't activate and one must take great care to not get stuff incorrect. Best case scenario the magic won't activate, worst case scenario your flesh might just slough off your bones and you die a horrible death. Or blast an area. Or both. Magic is dangerous. Imagine Penny (OG Penelope ofc, it's me you're talking to) hurriedly scribbling a formula on an alley wall in a foggy setting, just in time for the area to burst into flame when her pursuers get there and she's a safe distance away. Pre-written formulas, intentionally incomplete so that the wizard can just add the one component needed to activate it on the fly... I tend to visualize VADD's setting as very grim and foggy in aesthetics for some reason, so yeah. “Bounded Fields” aka an area surrounded by an array that can serve multiple purposes depending on the symbols included— wanna drain the life force of anyone who intrude? Wanna punt them away from the guarded area? Zap them really hard with electricity? Just wanna sense whoever trespasses the boundary? That sort of stuff would be also cool. Maybe symbols can be etched onto objects to give them certain properties, permanently or no.

As for WMMAP, I haven't gotten a solid rule down but I'd like to think magic is more diverse and fluid, not so rigid as the array-bound wizardry of what I gave VADD. Want to strengthen your body by channeling magic into it? Yeah! Crafting magical artefacts? Sure! Reinforce objects, temporarily or not, via magic? Hell yeah! Illusions? Fireballs? Sure thing! Conjuring stuff, or outright transforming them into smth else entirely? Uhhhh that's not gonna be possible, sorry.

If you conjure an object, the world itself tries to reject and eliminate it, the same way our bodies eliminate any foreign entity that enters it. Conjured objects don't last long, maybe a couple minutes at most. If a mage tries to hold their existence longer than it should exist the object begins to warp. Glitch. Becomes a weird thing that... isn't the object as we knew it originally. We become unable to perceive it normally let alone make use of it. If some maniac decide to specialize in that, then well good fucking luck to them. Transformations don't also tend to last long, if you hold it past its limit it's gonna glitch and disintegrate just like the conjured object did.

On that topic, I kinda see Jennette's creation as trying to bypass that law of nature, as did past Obelian emperors. I don't have the specific mechanics down yet, but the way the royals' mana gets too out of control it's actively killing them... sounds a lot like nature trying to reject individuals of such massive mana because they're unnatural going by our own theory of “Obelian royals did black magic and incest to increase mana volume but also keep kids alive”. Have their cake and eat it too. But black magic too has a price to pay and it eventually catches up anyways. So... yeah.

Pre-written formulas...that's a unique idea! I can picture incomplete formulas and equations scratched or engraved into the wall plaster of taverns and houses in balatant sight of the authorities and no one pays it any mind. Powerful defense and attack spells that survived from ancient civilizations but they are interpreted as a kid's doodles or an act of vandalism and either ignored or scrubbed away. Imagine a magician's child unaware of their origins accidentally activating an attack spell by writing something silly like adding dick drawing to a prewritten formula and blasting an entire city wall away without meaning to. The anti-magic faction would, of course, use these incidents of accidental magic to demonize magicians further. Penelope could've had her first contact with magic when she was still living in the slums, hiding in a dark alley from the guards that are chasing her because she stole a loaf of bread, her fingers are itching, in the darkness she find the engravings in stone and finishes the escape spell almost out of instinct, writing it out with the dirt and blood on her hands.

For wmmap I have the rough idea that you essentially drain your own life force to use magic, contrary to baby Jennette who probably drained the life from Penny and I hc is later capable of draining it from the people around her. Using your own life force isn't a problem with the Obelia family since they are practically immortal and possess an extraordinary amount of mana. The non-wizards are simply people who have barely enough mana to life. Magic use would almost definitely kill them. And having someone force magic into you is also bad for their bodies since they aren't meant to contain that much mana. Lore-wise I have some ideas how the Obelias became that powerful including them stealing a fruit of the world tree, which turned them into half gods and made the world tree unable to go against them since they now possess the same type of mana. It'd also explain why Athy is linked with the world (prophetic dreams) and has permission to change the essence of the world.

Just like you I don't like the idea that you can just conjure objects out of nothing with no repercussions or whatsoever. I'd prefer a Law of Equivalent Exchange or that you can turn an object into the one you want for a short amount of time provided they share a similarity. Turning wood into a gold coin would be harder than a key from metal for example. And it might not last as long until the spell wears off.

About Jennette...yup I too see her as a conjured object. Except she has been created from a scratch of something and has to be constantly fed (mana maybe?) to prevent warping or disappearing entirely. It's possible that she could achieve a human like status if she has consummed enough souls/or mana and lived long enough as a human. Basically fake it until you make it.

The world tries to eliminate her as it does to all things that don't belong there (I hc that this is also one of the reasons why most wizards don't travel between parallel worlds. Your are basically putting a target on your back. And if the world doesn't manage to kill you it kills your other self and traps you in the world you travelled to because only one of you two has a place there.) Anyway I think it starts really harmless in her childhood with small accidents that get bigger, more frequent and more complex as she ages. For example at first it's just a flower pot almost falling on her head but suddenly there are bizarre accidents happening around her caused by an unseen force creating complicated chains of cause and effect, that most often than not harms those around her instead of herself. Her magic doesn't neutralize the curse it only repells it. It kind of bounces off her and clings to the person she is closest to, leading at best to a serious injury and at worst to their untimely end. Even if ther black magic is there to protect their host, it still can't go against its nature to destroy.

The world becomes slowly aware of Jennette's presence and tries to reject her. Did the world once see her only as an annoying fly and tried to swat her occationally when she gets involved in the prewritten destiny of others, it now sees her as something sacrilegious against God, a wretched thing that tries to disrupt the order of the universe. I imagine it gets worse the more Jennette interacts with other people (and inevitably twists their destiny). So when Jennette, someone who shouldn't have existed in the first place, gets put as the ruler of the Empire on the throne, a position where all the threads converge to link up the world/story, the universe is furious. Perhaps the poisoning incident was set in motion by this mysterious force and originally meant to kill Jennette (fr why would Rosalia do something risky like poisoning her own niece to get rid of Athy who wasn't even first in line to the throne? isn't risking Jennette's life to get Athy exiled a little bit too extreme considering Athy posed no threat to her?) but her black magic protected her and Athy was the one who ended up dying. A life for a life. Magic always demands a price. And Athy was the perfect price to pay to justify her existence since they were both too similar to one another.

I don't know what this is. This is the only thing in the document:

The luminescence of the stars filled the sky, a gentle light that comforted and inspired. Zhongli loved the night sky, and found peace and solace in it's beauty.

The document was last updated on February 9th of last year so god knows what the hell it was about. Lantern Rite? I don't remember.

Matchmaking

What I can only assume was a planned sequel to Dense as a Rock but told through Hu Tao’s point of view. Probably was supposed to be, but the writing on this is kind of meh? Like all that happened was Hu Tao complaining about paperwork then Lumine wanted to go to a domain where she would eventually find the blueprint for the key to Zhongli’s dumbbell.

Monday's Melancholy

A document with no words but was planned to be a Tears of Themis AU where Rosa was an idol and was looking for Luke and ended up turning to Mister Wing for assistance in her search.

Then Raven joins the NXX and things get weird from there.

It was an AU thing where Celestine and Kiki were also in the NXX and Kiki developed feelings for Raven at some point but Wangsheng has basically taken all my writing energy away from me whoops.

Can only handle one longfic at a time.

Head in the Game

A planned Tears of Themis anniversary fic where Rosa has inferiority complex towards Mister Wing and sits and cries while playing a mix of Hatsune Miku Project Diva and Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage.

It has some words but uhhhh here's a snippit:

Hatsune Miku: Sekai Diva. That would clear her head. The rthymn game series that Rosa had played since she was a child. Whenever she would get stressed about something, she would play the game, and her stress would replace her worries with a round of concentration.

So those are words that exist.

Birthday ask

A birthday ask I didn't answer because life sucks and sometimes the wifi just doesn't work and then suddenly the house you cleaned during your birthday gets wiped away in a hurricane and I don't wanna think about this ask I'm sorry I know the person who sent it meant well and I actually have an interesting premise for it and it's somewhat developed but I really don't wanna think about the last time I would ever get to hang out in my grandma's house. ;-;

Pearly White

Another empty doc but was just honestly gonna be a cute Chitao scene with neither of them wanting to get out of bed.

Bookworms

Scrapped Alberose fic where they talked about books or some shit. Can't remember the premise other than it must have been some college/high school AU. Here's some words though.

But there was simply something different about how her classmates in front of her just admired pages as if they were simply art pieces to be looked at for a mere thirty-six seconds before flipping the page to of his book. Sucrose had watched Albedo go through at least three books in the past weeks. What they were about, she couldn't remember. All she knew was that Albedo was extremely talented in his academics and yet he still had time to read in class as if he never studied at all.

Aurora's Light

Scrapped royal AU fic where Rosa was destined to wake the king of Stellis with a kiss. In order to get out of an arranged marriage with Duke Marius, Rosa runs away with her childhood friend Luke to live out in a forest cottage for a few years until vines start taking over the forest. The two basically journey to the castle and beat up a dragon.

There's nothing in this document either. Lovely!

The Duke and the Editors Apprentice

This was a royal modern AU where Lumine works as an apprentice underneath Yae Miko. Miko was gonna set Ayato and Lumine up on a date or something. I don't remember but it was apparently a longfic. Whoops.

Sorry Wangsheng you took over my life.

It wasn't that she didn't like her boss. It was far from the truth; Lumine loved having the opportunity to work under Yae Miko as her secretary and apprentice, but it was certainly not easy. What the public didn't know about Miko was that she was crafty as a fox, always seeming to be planning something or another. Just last week she had managed to create a new persona for a member of an advice column and subjected one of the generals from the army to adapt to it. Lumine was used to Miko's schemes by now, but it didn't make work any less stressful.

The Stoney-Faced Emporer and the Starry-Eyed Princess

Another longfic. Royalty AU with Aether forcing Lumine to attend a ball and to at least consider the Emporer of Liyue as a proper suitor for her.

What I like about this one, other than the fact it has two pages (two! of a wip!), I like the idea of a romcom of Zhongli really playing into a stotic ruler and Lumine wants nothing to do with ruling type things. It's a pretty interesting dynamic I had.

Too bad it's gonna rot in WIP he'll.

Regardless of if that thought had even cross Aether's mind, there were pressing issues at hand that Lumine needed to deal with. She looked at herself in the mirror while one of her retainers, Noelle fixed her hair in time for the ballntonight. How her brother was even able to convince her to go was beyond Lumine's knowledge, but she knew that for the rest of the week, she was resigning herself to the fate of suitors asking to court her, or even worse, marry her.

I have a lot more WIPs but they're over a year old and I don't wanna go back any farther and force myself to read my old writing! I hope you like what I have in my wips that got left in 2022 though.

okay gonna attack you. 3 and 5 for xanxus, 7 for lussuria, 12 for bel, 19 for actually every executive, 20 for mammon and 21 for hmhmhm levi

Jesus okay, well I guess I just have to put a read more immediately, world's longest ask over here.

Okay Xanxus, let's start with 3 here. Hm, well honestly there isn't too much I dislike about him canonically. I used to be kind of pissy about how he treated Squalo but like I also thought it worse than it actually was. Canonically there isn't really anything I dislike with him, I think his character arc though subtle is good and find his personality really intriguing. But I can't really think of anything aspect wise that's lower than the others because the worst case as of now, is i'm just ambivalent about it. (which makes it hard to you know pick out.) Like the only think that I may feel negatively about is the fact he's really the only Varia member that is allowed to stay above being easily crushed in most cases, but like does that count???? It doesn't feel like an aspect of his character so much of an aspect of amano's writing.

Now 5. First song that comes to mind. Okay one sec I know the song but y'all have to know I listen to edgy as hell songs a good 50% of the time so you need to remember this when I pull this song out. okay? okay. https://youtu.be/0nv-b_-VrvQ

^ I do not think this is canon Xanxus song really, rather it's the eventual WCHB Xanxus. Radiance you'll get it because I told you his future but you know. it WAS the first song I thought of regardless.

Since we're here, we'll do 19 here too. OUGH???? I don't know if there's really one I don't like? The way Xanxus interacts with people is inherently very interesting to me. Like though Levi vaguely annoys him and he'll tell him to fuck off(which it's a little funny that Levi is just 'yep okay'), it's Squalo who pushes him over the edge to actually go and hit him. The way he helps mammon and clearly trusts them with similar knowledge levels on plans as Squalo. his small little interactions with Tsuna and how there's a vague respect that gets cultivated, but is very much mentally holding the kid at gunpoint. There's? Not really a canonical relationship with him I don't like. Admittedly I'd be here all day if I went individually with each Varia member, but there isn't one I dislike at all. They're all interesting even in small little interactions you can pick about how they operate with each other. So i'll have to move on to the next ones.

7 for lussuria... uhhh <:) Not much actually. I like his canon counterpart way more than what I usually see in fanon. I don't really see them do much outside of making him friendlier, softer and generally more properly motherly instead of what he is in canon. I think the conflict of him being kind of really bad at those things, while have people who do not care for those things, but still really wanting to provide it is interesting. I also like him being as violent as the rest of the Varia when he's given the chance but being a little more covert outside of those times.

12 for Bel, well I've got a few but personally my favourite was one that I made during the redraws where I noticed he was drawn in a very particular way that ended up implying hypermobility. so I give him that <3 he's got achey bones now.

Uhhhh okay 20 for Mammon. Hm That's a tough question, because that would require exploring what Mammon actually likes in people aside from someone who doesn't bother them too much and wouldn't be afraid of their high prices, and doesn't really judge them for their connection to material goods. Which admittedly cuts a lot of the other Varia out, and Arcos. I wouldn't be able to answer this one very well, but i do think, the fact it doesn't cut Xanxus is out is really funny, so let's say that.

Okay Levi and 21, there's nothing I dislike when writing Levi but it is REALLY fun to explore his more serious side that we see parts of. Admittedly I wanna write more with him than I currently do, and poke around with the Levi strike Squad a bit. (This is dangerous for me to do but we will see what happens.)

Fate Grand Order

-FGO is built on the back of SO MANY DIFFERENT fate IPs that you can honestly swing most headcanons and still have a really chill time in the fandom. It's also especially nice to find cool people who have cool HCs and shlorp them up into your brain.

-Really was the kick in the butt to finally start posting my writing. Posted one Saliama[ish] fic and people??? Liked it????? And my brain went !!!!!! and so I just kept going szdfxcg it's been great to practice writing more.

-Salieri is here next question [If that doesn't count, the people!!! Love you all]

Pokemon

-FAKEMON I love love love seeing everyone's fakemon!!! Or like non-existent regional variants of pokemon that DO exist, fossil versions, etc etc I just really love the creativity people have!

-Trainer designs! Yes even the stupid ones! Stupid referring to Official Gamefreak trainer designs szdfxcgvh I love seeing the designs of key figures in every generation and I always find a few favorites!! In Scarlet it was Arven [best boy,,,], Saguaro [who I swear. I SWEAR. HE LOOKS LIKE HANZO SHIMADA OKAY.], and Clavell. Tbf tho that's a mix of personality and design. TYME AND RYME THEY'RE ALSO SO GOOD, esp love Ryme's hair...very fond of Grusha as well.

All time fave tho is Wallace I fUCKING LOVE HIM

-So many fun characters to write!!! I haven't. Written much for Pokemon. And what I have written I haven't shared. BUT IT STILL COUNTS!

Tolkien

-Fan interpretations of characters!! I especially love seeing designs for Finwe's children/grandchildren because there is so much variety and diversity in the designs people create??? My fave are PoC middle earth designs tho bcus the movies are,,,so very white,,,,and it really makes no sense,,,,also fond of Radagast designs bcus I'm sorry guys but the fuckin bird poop hair whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

-Really in depth lore discussions! I rarely have the time to consume these/do deep dives, but there's just SO MUCH lore that Tolkien has shoved into these stories that I can always find a post discussing any specific thing I want to think about at any given time.

-Chill!! It's a pretty chill fandom!!! I rarely see drama!!! Everyone here stays in their lane and I love it!!!!

2. a headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like!

Honestly with HCs I'm usually pretty open and just picking up neat ideas people have and dropping them into my brain smoothie! Typically when i don't like a HC I kinda just leave it there for those who do?

I guess you could count like. When I first saw female Salieri for example my reaction was just "oh that's neat, I like that!" and now I have multiple WIP writing pieces [and some published ones] with my favorite trans composer who you can remove from my grasp over my dead body. But it never hit a point where I wasn't sure about her tho bcus I thought the vibe was neat from the get-go, hmmm

Uhhhh younger me absolutely refused to believe that humans in the Pokemon world ever ate Pokemeat in any capacity? And now myself and a friend [and others I am sure] have discussed sustainable Pokemeat things such as Kinglers, whose big threat claw eventually has to be removed or it'll just. It'll just get stuck and die there. Or the concept of Bird Pokemon specifically laying unfertilized eggs that can be eaten, or the idea of Slowpoke tails voluntarily coming off [though that is now illegal due to Team Rocket's actions in the well].

Mind I do still think there are people who would NEVER in their life eat Pokemeat, which is why it's so fun to play around with! I was actually working on an Ingo fic set in PLA where he just. Has to adjust to people eating Pokemeat because that's just how it is. They need meat to survive and it's a time where Pokemon are seen more as nuisances and threats than treasured partners. So throughout it he struggles to really eat things for quite a while [getting flashes of memories when Pokemeat COULD be considered safe for ??????? reasons] and it's a whole adapting to it kinda thing with the help of others around him. And then he goes back home and he's still screwed :D

13. your favorite type of fandom event (gift exchange, ship week, secret santa, prompt meme, etc)

Hmmmm. Well I think they're all cool, but for me personally I'm not really confident in writing things as a gift for others. Orz Definitely don't really feel like my writing is at a stage where it would be good enough for a gift exchange or a secret santa. Ship weeks are fun, I'm still trying to finish up my late stuff for a rarepair week...and I do enjoy prompt fills! I should go find the boards and forums and such for my active fandoms, it would be fun to try and fill some!

20. your very first fandom!

Oooo hard to say. The first media I really consumed with a fan mindset was definitely Pokemon, but I mean that as in like. I was buying the VHS tapes, getting the games, the cards, have a whole ton of figurines, plushies, etc. But I didn't really interact in fandom spaces as much with it?

The first fandoms I really peeked into fandom spaces for were about the same time, and that was for a manhwa called Demon Diary and Tolkien's works. That was the first big finding out about livejournal and ff.net and all that shit and actually consuming fanmade media on top of official stuff.

Tolkien also has my first big ship, Glorestor [Glorfindel/Erestor], which I still love to this day and is also very much that meme about how people will see two people who NEVER INTERACT and go "yep that's it that's the ship" BUT IT WORKS WELL with them bcus of their roles in Imladris and etc etc I won't get too off topic here xdfvb
