Posting this to get it off my mind though I doubt anyone will care:

Nick from the Wrecks dated half of Good Boy Daisy and produced songs for them while living with Cib and Steve (who could be Nicks twin) from SP7. Steve spoke a bunch on his stream about Nick's girlfriend visiting/ even living with them for an extended period of time for a bit.

Later, Steve moved out and its just Cib and the members of the Wrecks and Nick was helping Cib produce his album under Whales Talk. Eventually, nick and hallie break up and Nick writes all of Sonder about how toxic that relationship was including a lyric in the title track "you ran back to Arizona / guess it was nice to know you".

Fast forward and the wrecks are on tour while Cib moves out of LA/ his house with The Wrecks to Arizona because he is now dating DYLLIN FROM GOOD BOY DAISY.

Fast fast forward and GBD release a new song that talks about how much she hates her ex starring Steve, the literal doppleganger, as Nick!!!!!

it’s kinda funny to me that nobody seems to be mentioning that Nick is lowkey implying GBD is/was trump supporters or in some way far right/white supremacists with both Don’t be Scared and Unholy. Like it’s not subtle they literally talk about covering Rage on their website and hallie mentions that her dad is why she “loves to shoot big guns” (“gated community/yet shotgun on your bedside”) on her insta,,, “you used to cover rage yet praise the police/I blamed it on your folks and how you were raised” isn’t exactly subtle and neither is “red hats who can’t spell Palestine” or “white rioters trying to be hero’s” like the songs are one after another -

Never Learn - Good Boy Daisy (ft. The Wrecks)

Not one, but TWO incredible bands. I love the way these two mesh in this song. The instrumentals are so fun, and I love the lyrics. There’s this part at the beginning where it gets all intense and growly and it scratches my brain in all the right ways, and the same with the chaotic instrumentals in the later middle. It’s even got some pleasant synthy spots. The voices blend so well between the two singers. I love that it’s equal parts upbeat pop and sort of darker alternative in spots. Overall just a really fun song.

I will forever and always scream about amazing metaphors and imagery. Something about coming out of the fire stronger in that lashes bit, incredible

Final Takeaway

The Wrecks are popular, but I don’t know a lot of Good Boy Daisy listeners, which is a CRIME. The singer’s voice is so pleasing to listen to, and the background instrumentals of this song are so good. It feels like something I would drive down the highway at midnight to. Truly an incredible collaboration. Can you tell I love gravelly songs and synthy stuff?
