“Meet Gerby the Gopher”

Say hello to a 2nd new OC after Ozwald the Otter. And just like last time, this one also an exclusive which can’t be argue here. How else can I do with his bio info and details I’d got? Nevertheless, he sure got the part as Sallie Chip’s common friend because why not? Thought its fitting for her size basically being small adorable rodents.

He sure does indeed. Just that he couldn’t help himself where it comes to digging….^^* So anyways, hope you guys enjoy this. I also used that simple gopher image from that “Spyro: Reignited Trilogy” as a reference for starters. I just like seeing them with their party-looking hats. 👌

There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding that I’ve seen people make when writing/discussing Sunday and it’s that, he has a god complex.

He doesn’t have a god complex, he has SAVIOUR complex. He wants to save everyone from the pain and suffering of the mistakes made from free will and he even says himself that he doesn’t wish to become an Aeon but rather, he will suffer and uphold the Order for the sake of everybody’s else’s happiness.

Even Robin points out and says that why must he suffer for everyone else’s sins and I don’t think it’s because he sees himself as a god but rather as a catalyst, a saviour to a higher power that can protect everyone.

People who have a god complex, believe that they were superior, that they are better than everyone else but with Sunday, you can see that he really hates himself. He’s ashamed of himself, probably because of all the years of manipulation from Gopher Wood and if you need more proof, he says to Wonweek (reminder, a part of his personality) that he dislikes him. And Gopher Wood also makes Sunday feel bad about being kind and gentle as we see when he intentionally appoints him to the bronze melodia.

You have to understand, Sunday’s saviour complex comes from Gopher Wood’s manipulation of how he saw the world, it didn’t just come out of nowhere. And Sunday is still fundamentally a very caring and noble person which is why he was going to take on the burden without placing himself on a pedestal.

Feel free to disagree and discuss w me but this is just my opinion of how I feel about Sunday and how I see him.

Kinda... Not talking about the actual chapter cause I can't even AHHHH but an event that happened is mentioned so I'm going to put that little spoiler warning

This may just be wishful thinking but I hope now that Felix is out we get to see other characters exploring queerness a little bit. BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY FELIX WILL BE WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS AND A VERY HEARTFELT WE STILL LOVE YOU FELIX. Obviously this is fiction but like realistically queer people tend to gravitate towards each other. Like the domino effect is so real, I came out as bi (don't identify as bi anymore) in like year 7 and now my entire childhood friend group of 4 are all queer. I wasn't the one to create the domino effect in my high school friend group cause our group kept on getting mashed together with others throughout the years untill we have everyone we have now. Which is 3 queer people, 2 token straights and 1 unlabelled. It is the 1920-30s so I don't expect it to be explicit but like a couple lines here and there would be cool.

Genuinely a bit scared to see how the characters will react. I think most of them will be chill with it but I will honestly be upset if they are not. Granny is literally in her like 80s I'm sure she's had a conversation with a queer person in her life before. Red is a nurse, you kinda have to or should be a caring and understanding person to be a nurse. I don't think Dr. Oddswell would care like at all, Felix is helping and he trusts this person who he's knew since Felix was in college (I think).

I did a pole recently on Jerry and homophobic gay man won so there's that, no one cares what Jerry thinks though. He is a little snitch though so he better not tell anyone because omfg. The Warners will obviously be chill, if we're lucky we could get reference to non-binary Wakko. Same with Mr. Toad and Dr. Scratchy. Albert seems like a kind old man I think he'll be chill. John honestly gives me gay vibes so. Cuphead is so bisexual coded, I'm so convinced this man had a gay lover in his past. I think Bendy would ask questions and then be chill with it. I think his reaction would be 'oh so like the lesbians in hell, I didn't know you could like the same gender, that's good to know'. I hope Holly is told, I want to see her reaction cause I genuinely don't really know how she would react specifically to Fanny being the one who outed Felix. I feel like she would give the house a very passionate speech on how great Felix is and how the fact that he likes men doesn't diminish all that he's done for the house. Also Holly is just a great ally, that one Holly's Journal chapter when she was figuring out queer people exist was like 'how to be a good ally 101'. I did not mean to make this as long as it is, I just talk a lot.

Alright folks, here we go, another one of these. I'm currently looking for some more roleplay partners.

I'm gonna backpedal for now on Witcher RP, just because I have literally so many ongoing fanfics for it needing to be finished.

Now it's important that I say you really don't need to have watched any of these or even the bits with Joey, he's not there for a very long time and only a minor character (sadly) so I can just give you a sort of basic summary and we'll be able to create our own story together !

Gavin, I'm looking specifically for mxm pairing, he just strikes me as (and/or the Gavin in my head said he was x) ) gay. Gopher and Shelley, I'd go with bisexual so either or, as well as including trans characters or anyone of any gender.

It can be ocs you have or characters from other shows you think would work for crossover or just favorite you'd like to pair with any of these boys.

Something that’s been on my mind as I’ve lived in the sunturine ao3 tag for the past week is how the fandom (generally writers and fans) tend to depict and interpret the relationship between Sunday and Gopher Wood.

Now I’ve seen a lot of interpretations where Sunday is reprimanded by Gopher Wood a lot either through punishment, emotional abuse or physical abuse. I’m not going to argue and say “oh those are inaccurate and wrong” because I can see how people could interpret the relationship between them like that. I’m here to offer my own perspective on the matter because I think it’s interesting.

I think that rather than abuse, Gopher Wood excelled at manipulating Sunday. He manipulated and carefully crafted situations where his point of the Harmony’s flaws would always be true, example being, when Sunday was appointed as the Bronze Melodia. He knew that Sunday would see how the long-time resident Dreamchasers would affect Sunday, wavering his belief in the Harmony and push him towards the Order. He INTENTIONALLY created such a circumstance where Sunday had very little power and was forced as an observer and the few times Sunday did actually try to help (recall back to when he tried to help someone wanted by the BloodHound Family) he was punished for his kindness, another thing Gopher Wood did intentionally.

He also purposefully gave Sunday control of Aideen Park and the insane set of rules because he knew that it would affect Sunday, once again, he slowly manipulated and moulded the Sunday we saw in the Penacony quest over years. He made him believe that Robin’s ideals were too romantic, too foolish for so long that he couldn’t even admit to himself or anyone that he likes her songs because of the rules and manipulation done by Gopher Wood.

Yet at the end of it, Sunday doesn’t blame Gopher Wood. He doesn’t seem to hate him or particularly resent him for anything which makes me wonder if there a genuine bond between them but it’s hard to say since there’s a lack of depth on Gopher Wood’s side. But overall I believe rather than abuse, Gopher Wood took advantage of an emotionally well-meaning child like Sunday and manipulated him into a puppet, devoid of any notable traits. It also worth noting that, all of these incidents ended up giving Sunday a saviour complex and seeing himself as expendable/ creating even more hatred for himself, as ive mentioned in my previous post

Of course, this just my opinion lmk know what you guys think too because the power dynamics between their relationship are also very interesting to me

writing an oc or fic about an existing oc thats supposed to be similar to my trauma and how i deal with it but framed in a way that can be perceived as palatable and "delicious angst" but unfortunately the way i went through it was sexual in nature so this is a disgusting fetish actually. sorry theres no cure.
