i plug my earbuds in and turn on my music. question...? by taylor swift. (stream)

as i couldn't really hear anything but the song, i didn't notice jungwon behind me yelling for me and running.

did i mention he was also my neighbour? yeah...

"y/n! y/n! y/n wait up!" he called but i didn't hear.

when he caught up beside me, i finally noticed and took out an earbud.

"can i help you?" i say already annoyed.

he didn't say anything, so i thought the conversation was over. as i reach for my other earbud, it was taken away before i get to it. i look over and jungwon puts the ear bud in his ear. why?

"ou taylor swift! i love this song!" he bops his head to the beat and jams out.

at this point i can't do anything about it and ignore him.

when we arrive at school his six friends are waiting at his locker, right next to mine. unfortunately, yesterday he asked to switch lockers and now he's beside me...

"yoo jungwon and y/n sharing earbuds!" they whistle and laugh teasingly. i roll my eyes and jungwon smiles proudly.

i pull the earbuds our and shove them annoyed in my locker. as i grab my books i hear them talking.

"so jungwon when were you gonna tell us about you're little thing you have with y/n?" heeseung questions mockingly.

"well-" i cut him off right away.

"there's nothing between us and there will never be," i walk off in disbelief at the fact they thought me and jungwon were actually together.

(jungwon's pov)

we all watch as y/n walks off annoyed.

"damn bro it's gonna take a lot more effort than just stealing her fucking earbuds to make her fall for you," jake scoffs.

"oh shut up! this is just the beginning, i'm not giving up that easily," i mutter in response.

it may be a little difficult at the start but that's just how everything is. you need to start slow.

the loud school bell rings and everyone rushes to class.

when i arrive, i spot y/n in the back, as usual. happily walking over, i plop in the chair and look at her.

she fixes her needed supplies, which is what i should be doing. but that's besides the point.

staring at her, i finally get a good look at her.

ever since she was with yeonjun i never really got to look at her. she was of course off-limits as me and yeonjun were friends.

but now looking at her, she's actually so pretty. like i knew she was pretty, but wow, she's so much more than just pretty. her hair perfectly framing her face and sparkling eyes. not to mention her side profile - and front profile.

"yang jungwon! answer question 3 please. what is 85 x 16?" i snap out of my trance.

panicking i start stuttering.

"i- uh- um-" i look over at y/n begging and pleading for help.

"1 360" she whispers, not looking at me to not make it obvious.

"1 360!" i shout confidently, trusting y/n that it's right.

"good! now would you please look at the board and not at y/n," she says embarrassing me.

did she really have to point that out? that's so humiliating oh my gosh.

the class laughs and so does y/n. her smile is pretty too. stop it.

as the bell rings everyone gets up to leave.

"hey y/n! thanks for the help earlier," i grab her arm stopping her from leaving.

"don't mention it," why doesn't she ever look at me in the eye?

"can i buy you lunch in return?" i look at her with hopeful eyes.

"fine."

"okay let's gaur!"

after buting her food, i text my friends i'm eating lunch with y/n today. they all just laugh and tease me in the chat.

i give y/n her food and follow her to where we're eating.

"why are you following me?" she looks confused.

"i was thinking i could eat with you, instead of you satinf alone or with me and my friends," i look down thinking she's going to reject the idea.

"yeah sure just don't be too loud," she defeatedly agrees.

the lunch was mainly quiet as we ate in the hall.

the silence was broke when she spoke.

"i'm confused," she stops eating and turns to me.

"about what?" curious, i respond.

"for the last three years we've known each other, you've never spoke to me - besides when we had that one sciencr project - but all of a sudden you invite me to eat lunch with you, steal my earbuds, and switch lockers so that you're next to me. i just don't get it."

i thought she was going to ask about like school or something, but not this. shit how do i respond?

"uh- you know, i don't get it either. i just thought i really wanted to be friends with you. you're nice, smart, and so much more, so i thought you would be fun to hang around with," saving myself i make up a half lie.

of course i think she's smart and nice, but wanting to be friends with her wasn't the reason all. but i can't tell her that.

"huh i never really thought of it that way i guess," she shrugs, believing me. phew.

"fuck it. hey you know what, i have an idea. come with me," i pull her up and start running with her.

"wait but we still have class and my pork buns-"

"who cares? don't worry i'll get you more, just follow me."

running through the doors and outside, we sprint off school property, bringing her to the spot.

OKAY SO THE PEOPLE FROM YOUR CORNER OF THE WORLD ONE DIRECTION I love Louis tomlinson so much. I loved him in 1d and loce him now. We had lots of pride stuff at our shows because well do you know the story of Larry stylinson? -Louis probably isn't straight (I mean being in love with your male best friend would suggest) but he has never specifically said what he is also he's so support of his LGBT fans and we love and support him so so much. He's so sweet and his music is great and real and he writes about sad things too!

soooooo I drove 3 hours to Ohio to see him on Thursday after work. I almost got heat exhaustion so hot. They did not have plain water for sale at like 80%of the vendors it was just beer and cocktails (yuck and also NOT HELPFUL IN 90 DEGREE HEAT), got upgraded for free Cuz they had empty seats closer (oh my fucking gosh I almost died of excitement l) IT WAS AMAZING HE WAS GREAT. I then proceeded to drive back and go to work on literally an hour or 2 of sleep and since the pandemic no where's open late anymore so I didn't eat for a day and a half opps.

I went to his Detroit show yesterday and it was lit. He literally said we were fucking unbelieveable a minimum of 4 times and thanked us and called Ohio then michigan(both of which I was at) the best shows his entire tour. I just wanted to hug him like a bazillion times.

#one directioner forever sorry to ramble about my lifelong love for 5 boys from the UK. I just love things veryyyyyyy intensely. Maybe not the normal amount but hey

The staff wouldnt let us get streamers from off the ground :( I know that's probably an odd thing to want what can I say it's a memory. Although I didnt basically sleep for 3 days it was so amazing and completely worth it. I wish I could live it a million times over. Everyone was happy, and Louis was happy:) I am not social, but the atmosphere of concerts and to a different degree professional theater is just something else. We're all there for one thing, and it's so Beautiful. It's one of those times that for me personally my depression anxiety and borderline are far from my mind. I feel euphoric on top of the world and being happy is very nice. Being happy with others; seeing two friends dance or shout words to each other or smile it makes you happy too. Even when I don't know them. So I guess I am social in liking to be around people but just not good at speaking to them.

I also lost my car in a field because they have no signage and in a sea of cars where the fuck did I park. Who knows I wandered for 20 minutes until I finally stumbled upon it. I can't even imagine those people who drink then look for cars like my human you bad decisioned.

My most unfavorite part of concerts is just getting out of the traffic jam afterword. I've learned to get to your car and sit there until there is no line of cars waiting and you're golden. (That usually takes a while bit is worth the headache and wasted gas. )

THAT IS SUPER EXCITING!! I wish you were going next month, lol. I hope you have the most fun!!!! Ahhhh boo tests BUT YAY CONCLUSION!!! That means in a few weeks I can annoy you with all the newsies thoughts xD

From one Marxolor fan to another I CANNOT HELP BUT THINK that the man switching out between guitar and bass was JUST MARX AND MAGOLOR PLAYING TOGETHER AND THEY WENT HARD !!! ---ON A more serious note, what was something worthy to point out / translate in the concert ?

So, oh, gosh. I think the biggest compliment I can give it is that I was having a really tough day until like, 20 minutes before it started (well, I'm in the 5 am streaming camp, so I slept for a few hours in between) and by the time it was over, I felt like I had a new lease on life?!? Silly, I know. (Also, new lease on life aside, work is breathing down my back, so if I'm a little late getting to other asks, just know I'm still here for you all and I'll be trying to chip away at them, starting from the oldest, over the next few weeks!)

Anyway, a warning that this post is full of all-caps shouting, only semi-coherent praise, and completely disorganized thoughts. (I normally would go back and organize a post more, but I didn't find this until 2 hours ago and it's almost queue time!!)

I don't know why it's so meaningful to me every time they pair medley/remix music with footage from the games, but it just gives me the chills in a GOOD way! (And starting out with the classic Kirby Drawing Song, "~First you draw a circle~" I just ahhhhhhhhhhhhh)

Also, not music related, but the stage was really lovely?! Did anyone else think so? I mean, the decorations were low-key, but it really felt like Dream Land to me! (We even had the THINGS. You know, the TALL THINGS. A type of snack known as "Bourbons" someone said?) It's the kind of stage I would just love to run around and play on like a goofy kid in the hours before the band sets up!

I love how they tied Green Greens into the New World. It really links the two generations (well, we're only one game in, haha) together! And both conductors, Ohara-san and Ogasawara-san were amazing and so much fun to watch! (I heard someone talk about, despite them being veteran composers - and Kirby composers - this was their first concert conducting experience? I watched in private and browsed through some streams after the fact, so apologies if I mis-quote anything.) Also, Sakurano-san hanging her concert Kirby plush off her jeans (skirt) is a fashion you had better believe I am going to STEAL.

Super Star and Triple Deluxe, well, Queen Sectonia in particular got so much love this time around! But it was nice seeing Air Ride and the mini games get recognition too! In a way, I was sad we didn't get a lot of redos of the songs from the 25th concert, but the spread of songs through the games just shows that everyone loves ALL of Kirby! Nothing is forgotten history (w-well :cough: very little is) and you can just feel how much everyone cares! I mean, did you see the almost constant smiles on the band members faces?!

One of my favorite medleys, funny enough,  was The Knight's Revenge Medley. When you open up with the sting from Meta Knight's Revenge, you've already got me hooked! But they did wonders with Dark Meta Knight's theme! I've always thought Amazing Mirror had some good tracks held back by the GBA's sound capabilities! (I was kind of hoping Dark Mind might get the same treatment in the Last Boss medley, but I can't be sour about my favorites getting priority either!) I've never been really into Galacta Knight's theme myself (I keep quietly dunking on Galacta, and I am so sorry about that!) but I liked it here. And Kirby jamming along in the Morpho gear? Adorable!

Taking a break from music to talk about translation...

One thing I was thinking about through the whole concert is "Why isn't Kirby talking? Like, TALK talking, like they did in the 25th anniversary concert?" (~Cake-y~) and then I was instantly impressed when I learned why!

It’s because this was being streamed internationally, and they didn't want everyone's beloved Kirby to speak too much in a language that only a portion of the audience could understand! And so Kirby speaks almost entirely in "Kirby-ese" (originally invented for the anime) for the concert, so everyone could be on the same page. Because you can understand them even without understanding the words! 

And all the sudden, something that bugged me before made perfect sense and just...it was so thoughtful! Because while teenage and adult fans probably get the "Yeah, it's made in Japan, of course they're going to speak Japanese" aspect right away, now even very little kids can see Kirby and still recognize them as THEIR Kirby and UGH MY HEART!!!

(Speaking of Kirby, our puff getting really excited playing with the penlights until Sakurano-san warns them not to over-exert themselves AND wear out everyone's batteries! And oh my gosh, and during the "vote who you like the best with your colors" segment, where Kirby gets jealous and changes everyone's color to pink!?! Totally adorable!  .....That said, there were NOT enough votes for King Dedede in that audience. Tsk task.)

Also, I laughed and laughed when Kirby was told to answer a complicated question about which of the knights was the most difficult to fight and just goes total BSOD! Although...the other funny interpretation of Kirby spacing out there is that Kirby didn't think of any of them as tough fights, and thus, didn't know how to answer the question!!

What was very interesting/curious was that Sakurano-san says Kirby is tired from "...all that fighting." I went back to double check and she sure seems to say "...tatakai tsukarete..." Is the implication that Kirby was excitedly replaying all that excitement in their mind during the show...?

Back to music!

Personally, I absolutely loved the remix of VS the Lor Starcutter. That's a song I've really come around on the past few months too! (My SO is only familiar with two or three games, including Forgotten Land, and cheered when Winter Horns came up. "I love that song!" they said!)

OH AND THE DEDEDE MUSIC VIDEO!!!!!! 

Not only was the Kirby Cafe a surprisingly amazing venue for a music video (like, what the heck, I would have never imagined it would make for such a perfect background, but it did?!) but it was so hype! And Kumazaki himself sliding onto the scene with a golden mic to give us a rockstar Dedede shout!!

I was very happy Outlaw Driver made it into the race section, as I was about to riot about Robobot being skipped in the later game medley, and I love Outlaw Driver! I don't have strong memories of Air Ride, but I'm always impressed when I hear Air Ride's songs. The only thing I thought was a shame? If Gourmet Fest had come out a few weeks earlier, maybe we could have had any potentially new songs from it in here! Oh well. Next time!

More translation bits!

I'm a little too exhausted to go into much detail about the Kumazaki + Ohmoto interview, but I loved Kumazaki-shi talking about his working relationship with Ishikawa-shi (how Ishikawa always surprises him by providing unexpected and new Kirby sounds) and Ando-san (how Ando-san will accept any request, now matter how challenging with a "...Got it.") was such a fun annecdote! HAL Labs really is special!  Oh, and you could just tell Kumazaki was SO excited about having come up with the language for the new world. I wonder if knowing what every word means won't eat him up inside so much he finally just spills the whole dictionary somewhere! You can tell he's proud. He deserves to be!

It was hilarious watching Kumazaki and Ohmoto's back and forth about Ohmoto ignoring Kumazaki's pronunciation notes for the script! (There was a corollary here explaining the situation that I couldn't quite hear though.)

Also, not concert related, but the CHEERS when the anime re-release got announced! I haven't seen it myself, but this may be what gets me to watch. If only because I think there's an honest chance that if this gets enough support, it could lead to a brand-new Kirby anime down the line! I mean, the fans brought Pupupu Hero back, and we might even see a continuation if sales remain high! So in a way, this concert felt like an early step in the path to Kirby growing into even more of a major franchise!

So yeah, LAST BOSS MEDLEY!! 

I glanced at the program list when it was leaked on line, but I missed that one was happening, so it was a happy surprise to me! You can't put Marx and Magolor on the poster and then not have them anywhere in the show!) Also....does anyone remember when I said I would be on the lookout for anything tying Nightmare and Marx together for my favorite pet theory? Well, Nightmare's theme did lead RIGHT into Marx's!! /hj)

But I LOVED the energy of the new “Meddlesome Marx” remix! Doing the slow, haunting creepy thing is fine, but that's almost old-hat for Marx remixes by this point! They really brought his last boss feeling back here! 

(You can make fun of me when I say that I wish they were able to connect Marx and Magolor together without the Zero 2 bridge - EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A GREAT BRIDGE! I'm glad our biblically accurate angel gets a chance to shine! Especially with 64's recent re-release! Still...biases will be biases.)

And Magolor's big-band remix was so STYLISH! I'll never cease to be impressed with all the ways you can alter the feeling of CROWNED! :is so proud of my favorite Kirby boss fight BGM living up to its reputation:

Edit: Huh. Speaking of CROWNED being able to be altered to suit a variety of moods, I was just asked to explain my Elfilis and Void as the originator of the two powers in the Kirby universe to a friend and I ended up describing the Master Crown as being similar to Kirby’s copy ability, in that it morphs depending upon the user. New theory?! In a music post?!

Ah, but yes! Good eye (ear?) on the bass/guitar switch between Marx and Magolor! Even I didn't catch that! Man, even after the concert is over, I'll be thinking about Marx and Magolor playing bass and guitar. (I really ought to draw something for them along those lines, even though the fest is over!)

....But, bias aside, I have to give the show MVP to the lounge jazz remix of Moonlit Blossom! It's a match made in remix heaven! If they released that as a single, it would be on my playlist 6 hours ago.

Okay, I just said Moonlit Blossom was the MVP but, they did the entire Star-Conquering Traveler Suite...!! :starts to tear up: And it was beautiful! (How many times have I used that word this post? Haha...) 

And did everyone notice the footage they played along with the song?!? Starting out with the classic enemy team of Poppy, Leo, and Chilly and then introducing the Dream Friends by wave for each section of the fight?! 

PLS someone give me a mod of Star Allies where you can actually fight Void Termina that way! THAT was the moment that probably brought me closest to crying, when I realized what they were doing! It's so representative of my feelings on Star Allies and why it's my favorite Kirby game experience! (I'm going to show that section to anyone that ever suggests this group of tight-knit, battle-forged friends AREN'T a group of tight-knit of battle-forged friends.)

Translation talk again!

Oh yes! I giggled at the part after that where Sakurano and Kumazaki talk about the song names. I spotted a Japanese quiz a while ago called "Is this song title from a Touhou game or a Kirby game" (I got 80%) but that just goes to show how fun the naming sense has gotten on these! They also told the entire audience to check out the pause screens if they haven't till now and it reminds you that the music is another way to understand the story’s depths!

(But WOW why were there so few lights lit up when they asked people if they checked the pause screens! People, you're missing out on SO MUCH!)

And if it needs to be said again, Director Kumazaki makes it clear here that the Kirby games are aimed at ALL ages/all players and that he doesn't want Kirby games to be only aimed toward young children.「ですが、 低年齢にむけたゲームにしたくない」and that's one of the reasons he includes elements that are going to spook little kids - or come close to it.

(If we could only get that across to all the dismissive voices out there...)

But also, Kumazaki knows you can't pull the same "scare" again and again, so each last boss is made to convey a different experience, building on the ones of the past (that players might've built up a “tolerance” to) in order to create a brand new last boss experience! This plays into how the songs are composed, and there's also a note here that this is the reason Void Termina's song is a suite and not just one song, because it can't just be a pure happy ending. It’s got to be a little sad, but also end on a semi-positive note.

...Talking about the names of the songs, I think I'm officially going to start calling “VS Marx” by its official/unofficial/official title of "Meddlesome Marx" knowing how much song name titles matter to this series XD

Also, if my sketch earlier didn't give it away, I was blown away when they actually got Neichel ('s voice provider) on stage to sing! I love that they kept up the fact that her identity is supposed to be unknown to we the players. Just that she's a diva from the new world. Her duet with Ohmoto-san though....! That was a real life Macross Frontier moment if I've ever seen one!

Phew. There’s probably more I could talk about, but I hope that’s good for now! I hope everyone enjoyed their time with it! It really feels like the fandom has grown so much too, and the fact that we were all here together to share such a cool and special event (even if you had to catch the show later due to work/school/responsiblities) is just a miracle, I think!

Of course now I'm definitely curious about what the story is really about, like I'm guessing Wojira will wake up at some point so... Great Devourer all over again maybe? 😅 Idk, for now I just wanna enjoy Nya having her moment 🥳

New alert for reader, during the Nexo Knights period I was and still am the hugest Clay fan. Now that his voice is in this season I might scream more than necessary... keep that in mind 😅

I love the humor in this, all random but still kinda clever 😂😂 Maybe I'm biased because I love Jay but still 🤷‍♀️

I really like the design of the marine world, very cool!! 🌊🌊🌊

I guess I'm not really seeing any big plot twist moment for now? Ninjago seasons have history of basing seasons on a "we need to prevent this event from happening but it will happen anyway", so I can see Wojira waking up no matter what 🤷‍♀️

I wonder if that will be shocking? Usually when this situation happen, someone makes a major sacrifice (Zane with the Overlord, sensei Garmaron with Chen, again sensei G with the Preeminent...). Maybe Maya? I DON'T WANT THAT 😭 But I am curious, everything is going nicely and I'm not sure what it will bring! 🤩 I'M EXCITED SO LET'S GO!!!

So this is the name of Clay's new incarnation, neat! 👍

Okay really, for having a season lately the main character just can't help but be trapped by the villain: kinda Zane in the ICE Chapter, Jay in Prime Empire, Cole in Master of the Mountain... we can call it a tradition at this point 🤷‍♀️

Giant serpent, yadda yadda, I wonder if we're gonna address the Great Devourer at some point? Not mandatory, but the reference would be very cool 🤩

When the lights fade and the facades fall, this is what you’re left with: Tuxedo Mask without a mask, you without your moonlit glamor. Tux the civilian is handsome, you can tell, and this is it—the moment you’ve been waiting for.

He lifts his face.

The youma's words come rushing back: Let the truth be known, the city’s deepest secrets shown.

Tuxedo Mask is none other than Kim Seokjin.

Suddenly, you’re reminded of a crystalline city; people bowing before you; Seokjin taking your hand, your matching rings gleaming in the light. Was it a memory or a dream?

You stand there, dumbfounded, until Tux/Seokjin dons his mask and brushes past. “Come on, Sailor Moon,” he says, sensible enough to use your alias. “The coast is clear. We’ve got a fight to finish.”

“Why does it have to be Seokjin?" You whine, collapsing into bed and disturbing your sleeping cat. (In your defense, he was on your pillow. Which you’ve told him numerous times not to lay down on because his fur would shed.) Luckily, Agust is acquainted with your dramatic side and simply gets up to move.

“Well, why do you have to be Sailor Moon?” He points out. “It could have been someone less bothersome.”

“Hey,” you retaliate. “You’re the one who came to me. You could have given anyone the Lunar Key.”

“I didn't have a choice.”

“What do you mean you didn’t? You could have walked away and picked someone better, just like that.”

He scoffs. “Not when it’s the Queen.”

“Queen-schmeen." You flop back onto your bed, the springs creaking in protest. "I bet Her Royal Highness is on her throne right now, all nice and comfy. She couldn't care less."

Agust doesn't reply.

At first, you think it's because you've won and nothing else can be said, but when the silence stretches on, you know something is off. You sit up to see Agust no longer curled into himself, but sitting. He stares out your window into the night, his normally keen eyes empty. "She's dead."

Judging by his somber tone, she'd meant a lot to him. "I'm sorry," you whisper.

Agust sighs. "No need to apologize, kid. She was your mother, after all."

"My mother?"

"Not now," he amends. "But she was a long time ago, when you were the princess of the moon and Seokjin the prince of the earth.”

The next morning, you head to school on time.

Your mom—present day mom—was surprised to see you up early, and Jeongguk called you out like the bratty brother he was (wow, no morning run today?), but the truth was you couldn’t sleep.

Last night, Agust recounted your past, how the dark eclipsed the moon. Although the queen tried her best to protect the kingdom, it was to no avail. Seokjin died in the fray, and you fell shortly after, helpless to save your beloved. In the end, the queen sacrificed herself to give you and Seokjin another chance at love, her people another chance at happiness.

A chance to rebuild the Silver Millennium.

The thing was, you didn’t know if that was what you wanted. Not that you’d want the Dark Kingdom to reign, but you weren’t sure whether you wanted to rule in your mother’s stead. Or marry Seokjin. Past you might have wanted to, but the you now could barely stand him. And neither could he. Or so you thought. You’d gotten along just fine with Tuxedo Mask, even grown a crush, but that wasn’t enough to warrant a marriage.

“Hello? Veen to Selene*?” Someone nudges your shoulder, and with a start, you notice Mina looking at you in concern.

“Sorry, what did you say?”

“Nothing yet, but it looks like you’ve got something on your mind. What’s up?”

You’re about to tell her when you see Seokjin approaching, his uniform blazer neatly pressed.

“Morning, ______,” Seokjin says. “Mina.”

“Morning,” you reply, ready for whatever biting remark he’d say next. But once Namjoon comes up, he leaves. That's it.

Even Mina, who hardly sees the two of you interact, notices. "That's the first time I've seen you guys polite. It's weird. What happened?"

After a discreet look around, you grab her by the elbow. “He's Tux,” you hiss, but Mina doesn’t look the least bit shocked. Her face breaks out into a giddy grin, like a child who’s finally tall enough to get on the big kid ride.

“You knew?” You ask, a little hurt she didn’t tell you.

She pouts, squishing your cheeks together. “Don’t be mad. You don't know how hard it was to keep it a secret.”

You don't blame Mina, for the most part. It would have been better if you hadn’t known who Tuxedo Mask was, and vice versa. You felt like Cinderella running away from the ball, her beautiful dress giving way to rags and ratty shoes. If the prince caught up to her then, she’d probably be humiliated.

Just like you are now.

Tuxedo Mask has seen you at your most embarrassing moments, fighting to have the last word (or milkshake) as Seokjin, and also at your best, saving civilians with grace. You've only wanted him to see the best of you, for him to think of you as the perfect wonder-girl heroine everyone else saw you as, but he's seen almost every side. You don't know what he sees in you now, if anything. And frankly, you don't want to know.

"Have you ever thought that maybe he's thinking what you're thinking?" Mina asks. "You've seen all the good and bad in him, too."

"But it's different when he doesn't have a crush on Sailor Moon!" You say, exasperated.

"Oh, I wouldn’t be sure about that if I were you."

Seokjin thinking of your alter ego that way is embarrassing, but considering he's also Tuxedo Mask...now your face is red, you can feel it. Red as roses in bloom. "You're joking, right?"

"Why don't you wait and see," Mina replies, as cryptically as when she was Sailor V and you hadn't known any better. Having sympathy for you, she gives you a warm smile. "Don't stress out too much, Moon. You're amazing either way. Just talk to him."

You think there's some reconnaissance to sort out first. When you walked into Crown Arcade and saw Seokjin talking to Jimin pretty intently, you didn’t want to interrupt...okay, who were you kidding? You chickened out.

But Jimin is his best friend, so he'll know how Seokjin feels the most, right? It's the next best alternative to actually speaking to Seokjin, which, well, you aren't ready for. Case in point: you've done the impossible and made yourself scarce. You aren’t about to break your streak now.

So the instant Seokjin leaves, you walk up to the counter. Jimin looks up from sprinkling a milkshake. "Hey. The usual?"

"Yeah, just double on the chocolate."

"You got it," he says, passing the drinks he finished making to a server. You watch him blend milk into ice cream, then reach over for a new cup to pour the mixture into later. It's all done with practiced ease, and you marvel at how quick he is, not to mention how beautiful the finished milkshake looks after. The chocolate is perfect, the whipped cream a cloud of snow drizzled with dark syrup.

Jimin slides it over with a grin. "Mademoiselle."

"Why, thank you," you say, digging in with gusto. This is exactly what "stressed is desserts spelled backwards," meant: Jimin's milkshakes never fail to kick your worries down a notch.

"Good?" He asks.

"Mhm," you mumble, more to your milkshake than to him, when the thought that you haven't paid yet crosses your mind. Oh gosh. You pull your purse onto your lap, but Jimin chuckles, stopping you.

"I've got it covered. Besides, I heard you weren't yourself lately."

"Really?"

He shrugs. "From the way you're devouring that, it's kind of hard to believe…"

You take an extra large mouthful to prove his point.

"But you only lay on the chocolate when you're bummed," he finishes, and you’d protest if you hadn’t made it a habit to drown your sorrows in his milkshakes. They were just too good to resist. Not to mention Jimin is a great listener. Your girls, although you love them, aren't always the best. You'd catch the moment they crossed over from attentive to "Is she done yet?" but with Jimin, you've never had that issue. Turns out you have a different one.

"I hate how perceptive you are."

He laughs. "You're just predictable."

"You know what? You can take back your milkshake and go back to work," you say in a fit of grumpiness, pushing the glass back to him.

"Are you sure you want me to do that?"

You meet him eye to eye. After a minute—a long, impressive minute might you add—you take it back. "Fine. What do you want to hear?"

"Anything you want to tell me. And if it's something you can't share, please tell someone you can. It's not great to keep things bottled up, trust me."

You sigh.

"Here's the deal," you begin, feeling a little weird telling your old crush about your new one, but marching through nevertheless, "I met someone on...online. He's nice and funny and understands me even though he's different. I just click with him, and eventually, I want to tell him I like him. The thing is, I don't really know who he is. We've been chatting on Discord and his profile picture is Tuxedo Mask, but he can't be Tuxedo Mask. Or maybe he is, who knows?"

Jimin laughs. If only he knew.

"Anywho," you continue, "I meet him and find out he's someone I actually know...but he's a pest. He always gets on my nerves and it's like he's a completely different person! I don't even know how that's possible, but apparently it is and it's just so frustrating."

Jimin doesn't speak for a while, which is fine by you. You take the time to jam spoonfuls of chocolate and cream into your mouth.

"You know," he finally says, amused, "that sounds a little like the plot to You've Got Mail."

"That isn't funny.” You huff. “Joe Fox was a jerk and I don't know why they played him off as charming."

"Isn't that what you think of the guy?"

"I never said he was a jerk."

"But you said he was a pest."

"That isn't the s—" You pull at your hair. "Ugh. I don't know anymore."

"Did you talk to him?"

"And what? Spill my complicated feelings?"

"No, just talk to him. You don't have to confess right now. Just air out the laundry and see where you guys are at. Chances are, if you're confused, then he's confused, too, and there's no way either of you can get out of it without talking to each other."

"I can't talk to him, Jimin. I avoided him for three weeks! He's going to hate me."

"He isn't," Jimin says firmly, and you wish you could have the same conviction. "Sure, he'll be upset, but if he's really someone who cares, he'll listen. Look, during that time you avoided him, did he try to reach out?"

"Well, I told him I didn't want to talk and he stopped asking."

"So he'll listen. If it turns out he hates you, give him a piece of your mind and I'll give you triple chocolate milkshakes on the house."

When he puts it like that, talking to Seokjin doesn't seem as dreadful. "You're not just saying that?"

"Have I ever said something I didn't mean?"

You get your answer when someone comes trudging in, holding up a bag from your go-to fast food joint. "Jimin! You better be grateful I drove all the way downtown to get you these burgers. Since when did you like ______'s favorite, anyways?"

"Since now," your traitor of a friend says. You glare at him, which he conveniently ignores.

"You're the best," he tells a surprised Seokjin, leaving with a pat on his shoulder. "Enjoy your meal!"

Where’s Connie?!

Ok so..

Steven really needs his Connie! And tbh, I miss her so much! So very much! It’s been a while since she actually was involved in something! And I have a ton of theories on what can happen and Ik a lot of people do too!!!(This isn’t gonna be any of my theories tho!)

But first off, let’s get one thing clear, the ones that want Connie so desperately like myself don’t mean for her to be a therapist to him! Cuz we know she’s dealing with college and etc! But I made this post to remind you of a good bit of things that might come into play!(I guess I sorta went off topic? XD)

Remember Full Discloure? We seen how Steven tried running from her to protect her, quite literally too! But she ran after him! Like everyone knows, if Connie knew something was wrong with Steven, she will follow him to the ends of the earth just to know what’s wrong and to be there to help him, and we all know, including Steven that she would put him over anything else! This would cause Steven to want to hide again! To keep to himself cuz he knows that she’s already busy enough! And he knows she would come after him! So he would keep to himself!

But in Full Disclosure, Connie already fussed him for running and worrying about that!! She WANTS to help him! That’s her decision becuz she cares for him! She chose and chooses to run after him! She knows he means well, but she also knows that bottling up like he’s been doing/did isn’t good!

Connie: *gasps* Steven, your eye! What happened to you?

Steven: I didn't want you to worry about it.

Connie: I've been worried sick all day, what do you think I'm doing here?

Steven: I just wanted to protect you.

Connie: Stop. Just tell me everything

Connie: That is a lot to take in.

Steven: Are you okay?

Connie: Are you okay? You're the one that's been through everything. The least I could do is just listen.

Steven: I can't ask you to do that.

Connie: I want to, Steven. I want to be a part of your universe.

Boom! She’s WANTS to! And she’s said a lot of things similar to the last line!

When they promised to always fight together! They fought about that whenever Steven came back with him saying once again that he wants to protect them and her! She gets frustrated that he still doesn’t tend to understand! The crazy thing is he’s the one that came up with that promise! From Sworn To Sword:

“I want to fight with you, together!”

Wait for it...

“No matter what comes, we do this together!”

Boy came up with this promise or vow, but broke it a few times! And people were mad at Connie?! I understand in a way, but people get mad at Connie a lot when sometimes it isn’t even her fault! Sorry just annoyed with that fact, Ik we all have opinions, but I’ll be honest it really bothers me! Anyway! Continuing:

🖥️You also like learning languages and driving. You are in one for a good treat. He is also learning different languages for his work, but he also has a interest in learning in general. When the whole Rika situation has been resolved, you two would spend a whole lot of time learning languages together. From quizzing each other to having conversations with each other via text or face-to-face, you two are constantly learning from each other which is super fun! And since you also like driving, you can bet he will be taking you on long rides in his sports car. Heck, you can even have a turn! These car rides include blasting tunes from the speakers and doing sing-alongs.

🖥️He needs your cheerful and goofy personality. Like, that is what keeps him upbeat and happy himself. And it keeps him from drowning in his own sadness from the past. Even though you can be stubborn at times and bad-tempered, but he doesn’t mind that. Because he can be like that too, especially when the topic of his past is brought up. But when he sees you laughing and making jokes or references to memes or pretty much you doing anything fun, a smile appears on his lips and he can’t help but pick you up and kiss you all over your pretty face. He is just so happy to see you happy~. But if you ever start to feel anxiety or your self-esteem, at first he might have a hard time helping you out because he doesn’t know what cheers you up and all. But after a couple times of taking mental notes of things you enjoy, he will put it into practice in means of cheering you up. If you ever do start to feel anxiety bubbling up, he will distract you by being goofy or making jokes to make you laugh. If you start to feel your self-esteem lowering, he will list off every positive thing about you. Then he will list off some negative things about you only to counter it with even more positive traits that he absolutely loves about you.

He would private message you a whole bunch of songs he found on YouTube for you to listen to and then asking you to text back what you think about him. His favorite kind of music is lo-fi because it helps him concentrate on his work. So he always asking suggestions from you. And you can also bet he will be posting meme songs in the chat just to piss off Zen and the others. But then you would just encourage him to post more and now he is just spamming nonstop meme songs.

1.-Murder at the Happy Home for the Aged by Bulbul Sharma.

So it wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly great. Had some intresting stuff worth exploring much, but the book didn't go there and I mean fine, the characters were pretty bland, I was hoping more definition to them but nope, still the book is a pretty straightforward murder mystery and it is entretaining.

2.-None of the Above by I.W Gregorio

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I absolutely loved it!!! There is still not much talk or information out there about intersex people, so I really think this book is great for intersex people to come forward and tell their own stories, I.W Gregorio wrote a very informative story and honestly is great, the characters are so human and that’s what I loved the most of this book it felt so real.

3.- Defy the Stars (Constellations #1) by Claudia Gray

Claudia Gray made me fall in love with a robot (sorry not sorry) and I adore her for it. Ok so this book is great, it laids out such an intresting complicated future for Earth and what would happen if humanity did succeed in colonizing habitable worlds, honestly this book is so great and the romance the FUCKING romance is *cheff kiss* exquisite like I want them together forever and I can't wait to get to the sequel.

4.-Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

Fucking god this book is a whole ass ride. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it at all I thought I would drag myself through it but nope I was turning the pages like a possesed entity, I guess that it helped the fact that I found all the main characters such insuffrable hateful people that it filled me with joy to see what fucking misfortune was gonna happen to them next. Honestly I thought this book was gonna be all white power fantasy (it had some of that and the fucking PoC representation in this book is atrocious like fucking disgusting how Mitchell dared to think slaves were happy as they were her idiot mind) and all the glory for "ThE CaUsE " but this book is surprisingly self aware and it shook me cause most of the main characters think the war was a stupid ass idea and the only think they miss is the privilege and position they lost and honestly the way that post war is portrayed is quite raw and yup honestly it was a great read even if there were moments that made me sick.

5.- Feminismo para Principiantes de Nuria Varela

Un libro muy informativo y bien documentado acerca de la historia del feminismo y las diferentes olas y los momentos históricos que los ocasionaron. Me fascinó, siempre es un placer leer acerca de la lucha por el feminismo porque creo que al menos a mi me da una nueva perspectiva de porque es importante seguir luchando por un mundo más justo y equitativo para todos.

6.- Skyward by Brandon Sanderson

I loved it!!! Spensa is so extra and she has my whole ass heart, I am dying for the next book to come out. That plot twist tho like I wanted to know what the Krell are and my mind was blown. This is the 1st Brandon Sanderson book I have ever read and I see why he is so succesful his stories are fucking bomb.

7.-The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See

This book made me ugly cry, it was so good and honestly I could see a lot of similrarities between how ethnic minorities are treated in China and how they treated here in Mexico and I depressed myself all over again about the unfairness of it all. The book was an amazing story of growth, healing, suffering... simply amazing, and I will definitely read more books by Lisa See.

8.-The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

Wow simply wow. This book has such an intense style such a way of taking you along the emotional and mental break down of Esther when she is faced with the world out side school and all this expectations she faces from her family, society and herself that it's just too much, that shit felt so real for me, I really liked it a lot but I don't think I'll be reading it again anytime soon cuz it really hit me too close being a woman that has (and still is) struggled with mental health a lot .

9.-An Assassin's Guide to Love and Treason by Virginia Boecker

🌟🌟🌟

The plot of this book is completely outlandish BUT it was a welcomed respite after the intensity of "The Bell Jar" and honestly I fricken love Shakespeare retellings (like pls go read Hag Seed by Margaret Atwood y'all) and the Twelfth Night is such a silly fun play what is not to like??? The pacing is good, the characters are ok, the romance is good and it's an all around fun silly story (yes they attempt to kill the queen but who cares?)

10.- Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I had only ever watched the movie before and it low key annoyed me how every incel fan boy out there thinks the movie is the truest shit out there (cuz boooooy the toxic masculinity of the whole ass concept of a Fight Club all those edgy ass bitches Tyler Durden wannabes drawing anarchy signs in their notebooks that I have had to deal with *sigh*), but I absolutely love Chuck Palahniuk's books, his sense of humor is my jam and I knew there had to be more to the Fight Club than edgy fake depth and omg like it was so funny this book is about the dangers of toxic masculinity (half of the book I thought our narrator was in love with Tyler and I was like omg this shit is so gay how are those incels not seein this??) and that fake ass depth all those edgelords worship had me in stiches. Truly loved this book.

11.- The Lady from the Black Lagoon by Mallory O'Meara

This book tho. Millicent Patrick was a fricken badass and such a wonderful artist and her story is so incredible. Like wow the film industry hasn't changed all that much huh? It was an amazing biography, I was crying by the end of it at the amount of love that went into all the research and how important it is to bring to light all these creative amazing woman facing the odds just to pursue their dreams, the thing I loved the most about the book was Mallory intertwining the story of her research with Millicent story like I appreciate all the effort it took her and it was amazing to read it.

12.- The Prince (Original Sinners #3) by Tiffany Reisz

First off, how dare u Tiffany Reisz!!! That fucking cliff hanger. Now onto the book, wow, just when I thought Søren's life couldn't get more fucked up u proved me wrong, also why u make me ship everything, like now that I know what Kingsley and Søren's relationship was and how much Kingsley still loves him and wants to be with him aghfhfhhd, but also Nora and Weasley, he is so goddamn sweet and they love each other but thing is I don't think they will work out at all, cuz Nora and Søren are so much like each other (the parallels between the 2 of them were so clear) and their love is still there even if they are apart and whyyyyyy u make me suffer like this???

13.- Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

This book is really great, all the construction of the lore and the political drama!!!! Like I live for that and I seriously need a sequel. A great fantasy with an amazing protagonist, those plot twists !!!!!! I never saw them coming. I just need the next book pls 😢😢.

14.-The Poppy War by R.F Kuang

This blew my mind, honestly this month I read such great fantasy books. I wasn't expecting anything that happened (well I did guess about what Rin was but it was pretty clear) it broke my heart time and time again and I need to get to the sequel soon (like why do I do this to myself, I need to finish a hella lot of series and I just keep starting new ones like a dumbass).

15.-The Way of Kings (Stormlight Archives #1) by Brandon Sanderson

💞💞💞 High Fantasy is my favorite thing in the world and this book, gosh i fell in love. The characters! The fucking world!!!! The political drama, the magic, the religion, (also all those drawings throughout the book were amazing) ahdhenmdhdj I adore when writers create whole ass worlds and this omg I hadn't been so excited about a high fantasy book since I finished the ASOIAF books. The story blew me away Brandon Sanderson dives right into it and I need to read the next book.

It was a great reading month for me tbh, I didn't think I would finish my TBR for this month but suddenly I did and it was because I got really great books and I hope next month will be just as good.

So, gotta be honest... this is not a Blind reaction thing, I actually watched it in French first so I know most of the stuff already 😅 It's entertaining, it got great animation, but nothing more than that in my opinion 🤷‍♀️

There are a few little details that bothered me a little, and it wasn't as exciting as I maybe hoped it was going to be, but it was fine. Enjoyable still. These characters make me like the show, even when it got nothing too impactful 🤷‍♀️

But I got triggered about that lightning thing with Jay 😅 I guess I'll just fanfic whatever I had in mind...

The writing was really less engaging, a little normal in a way? Idk just a feeling. Nice to see Ronin again though, I really like him. And nice to see Jay freaking out, I really like that too 😂

To be honest I wanted to put down my thoughts on this one because I REALLY wanna do the same with Nya's season 🤩🤩 I already know that Maya is gonna be there and I am so HAPPY already!!! 💙💙💙
