The other day my teacher and I got into a conversation about movies and I mentioned I have a list in my phone of every movie and TV show I've ever watched (it's so if I ever get dementia or a knock on the head I'll remember them. Hence why they all have warnings and opinions next to them). I (not thinking) handed her my phone when she asked to take a look while I was showing it to a friend (mind you that was a dumb choice anyway since I keep my whole life on my phone)

She only commented on a few, was very respectful, handed it back after. Genuinely props to her

But I am a stupid silly duck because she now knows I've somehow sat through all three fifty shades movies and all of the human Centipede movies and I have no excuse for that other than the fact I was bored and in a mental spiral

And yes I am putting those two franchises on the same level. Idc if they're different I hate them both. Deeply. Cannot stand the portrayal of women in them. As always disagree = dni

1.) have something meaningful to say about Russel other than “he’s underrated” and then do nothing to acknowledge a lot of canon material that he has . also drop ur nuclear found family dynamics because he is not a caregiver nor the “group dad”cause ppl love to make a mammy stereotype out of him . or make him seem so angry or aggressive ( genuinely have seen ppl claim he’s ABUSIVE before are you fucking crazy ) and just undermining his trauma or never bringing it up even with how badly it affected him CANONICALLY or not considering his own pain. I think he has such huge thing with being queer too that a lot of ppl don’t like to touch bc they can’t project on the fat black man just. biting fist CAN YOU LET HIM BE SOMEONE CAUSE HE IS SOMONE !!!!!!!

2.) treat noodle like she has her own agency and treat her like the human being she is and stop infantilizing her (esp now since she’s gonna be 35 this year ) 😭. also stop being fucking weird about her being Japanese ( and acknowledge how fucking weird they treated her esp as a child) ( I can write a whole thesis on how she was sexualized and treated badly as a teenager don’t get me fucking started )

3.) be able to talk about murdoc with any form of nuance like it’s justifiable to not like him ( i enjoy him in a way where love making fun of him and throwing rocks at him) but also ppl just be making up terrible shit up about him that’s not true or babying him like hes done nothing wrong😭 like yes he’s an asshole and terrible person i don’t think it’s a moral failing to like him though take it easy

4.) 2d is a grown man TREAT HIM THAT WAY he can be a jerk and and mean to everyone but ppl pacify him for being the ‘sweet white boy’ ( the canon material is guilty of this too ) or at the same time ignoring abuse that he faced in early phases ( I don’t rlly care for plastic beach for a myriad of aspects but that’s one of them) or ignore his physical disabilities and treat things like him having brain damage from his accident as a joke like you will be dealt with . ☝🏽
