I JUST FOUND ANOTHER FANCAST FOR MY QUEEN CHARLOTTE FAIRCHILD!!
I found myself another fancast for my petite queen Charlotte Fairchild!!
I was watching First Kill and I thought Juliette looked almost exactly how I pictured Charlotte!! And I think she would be the perfect teenage Charlotte? She’s petite, short, brown haired.
Also, she stands at 5 feet 2 inches. Thats Clary height if I recall correctly

In case you missed the full story of the story of Silas Pangborn and Eloisa Ravenscar, here it is: In the Bane Chronicles, Magnus briefly meets Silas and Eloisa. Magnus notes that Silas introduces Eloisa as his parabatai but it reminds him of someone introducing their wife. In The Infernal Devices, Gabriel and Gideon recount a story that their father told them. Silas Pangborn was their uncle on their mother’s side of the family. Silas and Granville Fairchild (Charlotte’s father) were close friends, however Grandville snitched to the Clave that Silas and Eloisa were in love. Because of the events that followed this, Silas killed himself. Benedict Lightwood, manipulated this story though to claim that his wife died of grief from losing her brother to divert from the fact that he killed her from infecting her with demon pox (🎶demon pox oh demon pox🎶). This story comes back in during The Dark Artifices when Silas and Eloisa are mentioned because of Emma and Julian’s situation. They’re basically referred to as a cautionary tale about the consequences of parabatai falling in love.
I definitely missed putting those pieces together on my first read. It wasn’t until my chronological reread that it all clicked. It’s not really anything that consequential to the plots, but it is interesting that this story comes up throughout the series.

Typical Morgensterns😅
"Now we are acquainted," Edmund said. "Capital! Do you frequent any low dens of sin and debauchery?"
"Oh, now and then. "
"The Morgensterns said you did, while they were throwing away the plates," Edmund said, with every sign of enthusiasm. "Shall we go?"
Throwing away the plates? It took Magnus a moment to comprehend, and when he did, he felt cold inside. The Shadowhunters had thrown away the very plates Downworlders had touched, afraid their china would be corrupted.
— Cassandra Clare: Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale
Ralf Scott jumped up and hit the table with an open palm. His fingers grew claws and scored the surface of the table.
"I think we need scones!" exclaimed Amalia Morgenstern.
"How dare you?" bellowed Granville Fairchild.
"That was mahogany!" cried Roderick Morgenstern, looking appalled.
— Cassandra Clare: Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale
"I shall not," Magnus declared, "but I will pause briefly so that I may catch up on your news. I have not heard from you since you sent word the baby had arrived and both he and his lovely mother were thriving. "
Will looked surprised. "But we sent you several letters in care of the Morgensterns, who were going to visit the Whitelaws at the New York Institute. It was you who proved to be a shocking correspondent. "
"Ah," said Magnus. He himself was not even slightly surprised. This was typical behavior from Shadowhunters. "The Morgensterns must have forgotten to deliver them. How careless."
Tessa, he saw, did not look too surprised either. She was both warlock and Shadowhunter, and yet not quite either. The Shadowhunters believed that Shadowhunter blood trumped all else, but Magnus could well believe that many of the Nephilim might be unkind to a woman who could do magic and whom the years did not touch.
— Cassandra Clare: The Midnight Heir

can I ask you for the headcanons you have on edmun herondale?
Edmund herondale?!?! Anon, this is the most original ask I've ever gotten and I absolutely love it! I've have been fascinated (strangely enough) by Edmund in the past, so you've come to the right place! Here you go:
Edmund was practically raised by the Fairchilds. This means that he was there when Charlotte was born and, due to his fondness for children, he and Charlotte were practically inseparable! When Edmund and Linette go to the institute to retrieve Will, he is shocked when a girl, who looked so much like Granville Fairchild, opened the door. After a couple of seconds, he recognized her as Charlotte and was in complete shock. He'd always wanted to know what had become of Little Lottie. Charlotte, of course, didn't recognize him, nor did she had any memories of Edmund. When it was obvious that Will wouldn't come back with them, Edmund was beyond devastated, but he felt a tiny bit better knowing that his only son was in good hands
He didn't have many friends growing up, despite being a ladies' man
His favorite child had always been Cecily (even though he would never admit it). She reminded him so much of Linette with her braveness though, unlike Ella (who also portrayed this trait) she was also quite quiet and observant, something she inherited from his dear mother. He cherished the reminder he had of her through his youngest daughter.
Though none of his children possess his coloring, their facial features make it undeniable that they're his.
The first time he held each of his children, he cried :,)
After Cecily left, Edmund never gambled again.
Every year, he and Linette walk to the sea and throw grains of rice into the ocean in honor of Ella's birthday
For years, he felt guilty for Ella's death (it was his Pyxis box, after all) and for Will running away. I feel like he gambled because he wanted to feel like he could succeed in something, which makes me quite sad lol i have to stop upsetting myself
He still trained after getting his marks stripped because he absolutely loved being a shadowhunter (though, he loved Linette even more)
He loved his parents more than anything (hence why he named Will after his father). When they died, a little piece of him broke that come never be recovered
Once he was able to overcome his gambling addiction, he and Linette happily grew old together, enjoying every visit they got from their children (both biological and in-laws) and grandchildren.
Yall why is Edmund's life so freakin' sad holy crap, was all of that suffering freakin' NECESSARY?!?

Do You Want to Start a Scandal. By Tessa Dare. Avon, 2016.
Rating: 2.5/5 stars
Genre: historical romance
Part of a Series? Yes, Spindle Cove #5
Summary: On the night of the Parkhurst ball, someone had a scandalous tryst in the library.
• Was it Lord Canby, with the maid, on the divan?
• Or Miss Fairchild, with a rake, against the wall?
• Perhaps the butler did it.
All Charlotte Highwood knows is this: it wasn’t her. But rumors to the contrary are buzzing. Unless she can discover the lovers’ true identity, she’ll be forced to marry Piers Brandon, Lord Granville—the coldest, most arrogantly handsome gentleman she’s ever had the misfortune to embrace. When it comes to emotion, the man hasn’t got a clue.
But as they set about finding the mystery lovers, Piers reveals a few secrets of his own. The oh-so-proper marquess can pick locks, land punches, tease with sly wit... and melt a woman’s knees with a single kiss. The only thing he guards more fiercely than Charlotte’s safety is the truth about his dark past.
Their passion is intense. The danger is real. Soon Charlotte’s feeling torn. Will she risk all to prove her innocence? Or surrender it to a man who’s sworn to never love?
***Full review below.***
Content Warnings: graphic sexual content, references to mental illness/suicide, public humiliation
Overview: As I've been having fun with this series, I decided to keep going and wrap it up. But while I very much enjoyed the previous installments in the Spindle Cove quintet, this one was a bit of a letdown. Not only did it feel like there were very little stakes in this plot, but the protagonists felt underdeveloped and a tad childish. For these reasons, this book only gets 2.5 stars from me.
Writing: Dare's writing isn't radically different than the writing in her other books. It's quick, clear, and balances showing and telling while inserting humor into everyday situations. But because I had issues with the plot, there were times when the pace felt off, particularly when no advancements were being made towards solving the mystery. If Dare had done more work to flesh out her narrative, I think the pace would have felt different, but as it stands, this book just didn't have the same snap as her previous ones.
Plot: The non-romance plot of this book follows Charlotte Highwood, a scandal-ridden woman of marriageable age who finds herself in the middle of yet another threat to her reputation. Charlotte arrives at Sir Vernon's house party and immediately goes about warning Piers Brandon (Lord Granville) that her matchmaking mother will try to throw her daughter at him. While they discuss their plans to avoid one another, they are interrupted by a couple who stumbles into the room. Charlotte and Piers hide behind a curtain and overhear the couple make passionate love, and the noises attract attention. Charlotte and Piers are caught together and everyone assumes they were having a passionate affair. Piers does the honorable thing and agrees to marry Charlotte to avoid a scandal, but Charlotte, not wanting to be seen as desperate for a husband, vows to uncover the couple's identities before the engagement is announced in two weeks' time.
Piers, for his part, is thrown for a loop with this engagement as he has a task of his own. We find out early that he has been assigned to investigate Sir Vernon to ensure he has no secrets that would compromise his promotion to overseer of reforms in Australia. Piers learns that Sir Vernon has been bleeding money from time to time, yet no evidence of blackmail, a mistress, or a secret vice has appeared. Although determined to know what is going on, Piers finds himself distracted by Charlotte - both by her single-minded pursuit of the mystery of the lovers and by her magnetic personality.
Personally, I found the plot of this book to be dull. Regarding the mystery of the lovers, I felt like the stakes could have felt higher if Charlotte were more desperate to mend her reputation. As it stands, she seems bothered by the way Society perceives her, but she's not so determined that it feels like the situation is (figuratively) life or death. I also didn't quite feel like I was being invited to solve the mystery along with Charlotte, and that probably has a lot to do with the fact that Dare seems more interested in scenes where Charlotte and Piers have mundane outings rather than scenes where they are working together to uncover information.
Regarding Piers' plot, I felt wholly uninvested in Sir Vernon's secrets. I didn't really care what he had to hide because it didn't seem to matter to Piers beyond a job well done. Things like national security, Piers' job, or Piers' past weren't at risk, and unraveling these secrets didn't seem to be much affected by Charlotte's meddling. If this plot thread had been more consequential, I could see Charlotte's involvement being a threat and thus, Piers and Charlotte would have been at odds. But instead, I didn't feel like I was reading a story about intrigue, just a story where intrigue wasn't enough to create drama.
Characters: Charlotte, our heroine, is somewhat sympathetic in that she is mortified by her overbearing, matchmaking mother, but my sympathy quickly ran out the more childish Charlotte became. Charlotte seems to think that she has a knack for puzzles and mysteries, but there was nothing about the plot that made me think she was particularly clever or competent. She does seem to be able to read Piers well, so if Dare had scaled it back and made Charlotte just particularly adept at reading people, I think things might have felt different. Also, the scenes where Charlotte is fretting over her baby blanket bookmark were confusing and made me see her as more of a teenager than a woman ready for passionate sex with a marquess.
Piers, our hero, is somewhat likeable in that he's assertive and takes control but doesn't do so in a toxic way. But aside from those qualities, he didn't have a lot going for him. He didn't wow me with his investigative skills, and he made some decisions in the last third of the book that made me question his emotional maturity (not to mention his morality and sanity).
Side characters were woefully underutilized, and I think having more robust side characters could have actually enhanced the plot. Delia, one of Sir Vernon's daughters and Charlotte's best friend, was so inconsequential that I didn't quite believe that her friendship meant so much to Charlotte, and when the two had a falling out, I didn't feel the loss very keenly. Frances, Delia's sister, seemed poised to be a good antagonist through her desire to keep Delia Charlotte's scandals, but she all but disappeared when the plot no longer focused on Charlotte's reputation. Sir Vernon wad also quite dull; he never really acted strangely or was on page enough to do anything that would make me want to see what he was hiding.
Romance: The romance between Charlotte and Piers was, in my opinion, a little too insta-lovey. While I liked that Charlotte posed a challenge to Piers because she is able to discern his secrets with ease, it felt like he fell for her way too hard way too fast. As a result, it didn't feel like their relationship grew so much as they just gave up all their protestations. Piers' life isn't the least bit threatened by Charlotte, so it doesn't feel like there's any real obstacle to their union aside from Charlotte's desire to marry for love (which quickly goes out the window). I think I would have enjoyed the romance a bit more if there was a little more external pressure, forcing them to evolve together. As it stands, the love story doesn't do much for me.
TL;DR: Do You Want to Start a Scandal is a disappointing end to the Spindle Cove series. With a low-stakes plot, a dull narrative, and characters who don't showcase many interesting traits, this book leaves both romance and mystery readers wanting.

Six Ways to Celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Rabbit
This Sunday, January 22nd, marks the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit, those born in 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, are celebrating ‘their birth sign year’.  The fourth of all zodiac animals, legend has it the Rabbit was proud—arrogant even—of its speed, looking down on the other slower animals. (reminiscent of The Tortoise & The Hare). The Rabbit steadily moves towards their goal, no matter what negativity the others give them.  With solid reasoning skills and attention to detail, they make great scholars, as well they are socializers with an attractive aura. However, they find it hard to open up to others and often turn to escapism.  Though methodical in their actions, they need surprises every so often to spice things up. Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year is one of the most important events for Asian families as millions make visits to their home countries, towns and family, in the coming days to celebrate the arrival of the new year.  Through the decades, celebrations and traditions have spread around the globe. With Metro Vancouver’s large Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and other Asian communities,  our cities are hopping with events to entertain those who can’t make the trip home, or are returning here to visit family.

Charlotte did for Will what her father never tried for Edmund, she loved blindingly and caring and never thought less about Will because of his actions as for Granville who judge and abandoned and punished Edmund for loving Linette even is he raised him.

Hi, so this is Lucie’s( @666-notsatan’s) headcanon anoni, Anoni again.
So, I am rewriting these headcanons from memory as my idiocy made me lose the file when I copied them into Lucie’s askbox. However, as she had to take a break indefinitely, and in the spirit of TID week, and the comments about Granville earlier, here are a few headcanons.
When Will arrived at the Institute after running away, Granville was still alive, albeit in poor health, which was why Charlotte and Henry were running the Institute, as a trial run so to speak.
He hadn’t approved of Edmund’s decision to become exiled, but he approved of Will’s choice to become a Shadowhunter, without knowing the reasons behind it.
With Henry and Charlotte busy and adjusting to marriage and running the Institute, Will wound up spending a lot of time with Granville immediately after he arrived, because Granville was the only person who truly had the time to help him settle in. Also, he was clearly dying, and Will was distant, but he hadn’t learned how to be cruel yet.
Granville was Will’s very first tutor, and Will would sit there for hours and listen to him talk about their history, and whatever else came to mind. He was the one to recommend the Mnemosyne rune to Will, as a way to help him be able to catch up with others his age, and learn faster.
While all of this was going on, Henry and Charlotte were trying to decide where Will should go, or if they would keep him. Given that he would be behind everyone else his age, and the cultural differences that he had been raised with, they decided that it would be best to keep him as their ward.
Granville didn’t live much longer after Will’s arrival, maybe a month or two, but the respect that Will treated him with is one of the reasons that Charlotte could never lose faith that somewhere inside Will, he wasn’t completely horrible.
The reason that Will hated the Lightwoods so much was because at Granville’s funeral they kept making comments about Granville, Charlotte, and Henry that were very rude, and Will had come to like them, as Charlotte and Henry had made a point of informing Will that he had a home with them as long as he wanted it. After Granville died, Henry was Will’s primary tutor for a time.
Hope that you enjoy them!
This is absolutely fantastic!!!! I love the Granville content - especially the bonding with Will! Also it could be that Will learned about Magnus from Granville too since he was one of the few Shadowhunters in his generation who respected Magnus and other Downworlders 😌😌😌

The cruelty of the shadowhunters - part one
This is a short story I’ve written. I am open to any feedback, and requests of writing prompts from ‘the shadowhunter chronicles’.
This is written at the request of @emilyfairchild. It concerns the parabatai curse as well as the search for the black volume of the dead.
...
London 1857
The morning sunlight hit the council hall windows as the consul watched the London enclave gather for their unplanned meeting.
Josiah Wayland observed the familiar faces of those who were well-known amongst the clave.
Granville Fairchild looked grave and troubled. Benedict Lightwood had a frown upon his face, as he tried to comfort his wife while she wept against his chest. Aloysius Starkweather had a look of impatience, ready to finish the meeting before it even began. Lastly, behind them all was Eloisa Ravenscar, silent and looking at feet as soft tears ran down her face.
Once everyone had taken their seat the consul began, ‘bring forth the evidence, Fairchild.’
Granville stood up and moved towards the consul, while he fiddled with something inside the pocket of his coat and handed it to him.
Inquisitor Whitelaw, who stood behind the consul, observed and read the letter. ‘So it is true than... Silas Pangborn committed suicide because he was in love with his parabatai?’
There was a cacophony of gasps around the council hall, as if no one could believe what had happened.
‘It is indeed what has happened, a tragic situation,’ the consul replied.
‘Tragic?’ Aloysius barked. ‘We should be glad the man didn’t fall in love with a downworlder, how disastrous that would be!’
‘There’s no need to be insensitive Aloysius. The Lightwoods and the Pangborns are still in mourning. If you cannot be civil, you will be escorted from the council hall’ the inquisitor claimed with displeasure.
‘That authority lies with the consul, not the inquisitor’ Aloysius bit back.
‘That’s enough, both of you!’ The consul began, ‘the question remains... should Eloisa be punished for the crime?’
‘Crime? You call love a crime?’ Eloisa stared, looking accusingly at the consul. The tears on her face seemed to have dried.
‘You know the law as well as anyone else,’ the consul looked unsympathetic, ‘especially the law regarding parabatai.’
Eloisa’s lips thinned and she stared stonily ahead.
‘If I may consul,’ the voice was Granville’s, ‘the punishment for parabatai falling in love is exile from each other and the clave...’
‘Indeed...’ the consul began
‘Well, Silas is dead. Isn’t that punishment enough? What good would it do to exile and strip Eloisa of her runes, if the law is no longer being broken?’ Granville Asked.
‘To set an example for future generations of parabatai, the law is hard but it is the law!’ Claimed Aloysius firmly.
The inquisitor had a look of complete loathing as he regarded Aloysius.
‘I agree with Granville,’ said Benedict finally contributing to the meeting, ‘no one will forget what’s happened between Eloisa and Silas, that should serve as a warning to the nephilim.’
‘Very well, We should have a vote.’ The consul claimed. ‘all those in favour of exiling Eloisa from the society of the nephilim for her crime, say Aye!’
Few nephilim on the council had responded, and Aloysius looked displeased with the outcome.
‘All those in favour of pardoning Eloisa for her crime now that Silas is dead, say aye!’ The consul said.
A large majority of the nephilim agreed and the consul said finally, ‘Eloisa Ravenscar please stand.’
Eloisa stood up and looked towards the consul.
The consul began, ‘Count yourself lucky that you remain amongst the nephilim, despite the crime you committed.’
He than turned his attention towards the rest of the hall, ‘and to all of you, do not perceive this verdict as a form of leniency from the clave. The law is indeed hard, but it is the law!’
The consul stood up and prepared to leave, ‘you are now dismissed!’
...
The consul spent the the rest of the day surrounded by papers, mostly about the impending accords.
He didn’t look up when the inquisitor came into his office looking solemn, ‘consul may we discuss the matter of today’s council meeting?’
‘What matter?’ The consul questioned. ‘You were there. It’s all been settled.’
The inquisitor sat himself opposite the consul at his desk and looked at him gravely.
‘Josiah,’ he began. ‘I think it’s time the nephilim know the truth.’
The consul abandoned the papers and his full attention was on the inquisitor, ‘the truth about what, Victor?’
‘The dangers of parabatai relationships.’ The inquisitor replied.
‘No, absolutely not.’ The consul was curt.
‘Maybe not all the nephilim need to be aware, Josiah, perhaps only the institute heads,’ the inquisitor reasoned.
‘No one apart from the elite members being: myself, you and the silent brothers are allowed to know about it,’ the consul said.
‘But if you just consider,’ the inquisitor began
‘No harm was done today.’ The consul interrupted. ‘Silas Pangborn had committed suicide before things got out of hand. There’s no reason why anyone needs to know what could have happened if he were still alive.’
‘I understand why you would want to keep it secret. Nephilim developing warlock abilities. That sort of power would be appealing to most people. But why not warn them just about the bad aspects: disfiguring, turning into monsters and becoming unrecognisable. We cannot allow them to live in ignorant harmony, when they should be aware of the curse.’ The inquisitor explained.
‘Curse.’ The consul scoffed. ‘There is no curse.’
‘But consul,’ the inquisitor looked confused.
‘Its all a lie told by the first consul of the nephilim that ever lived, Victor.’ The consul began. ‘Being in love with your parabatai won’t turn you into an unrecognisable monster, it only enhances your abilities.’
‘But why?’ The inquisitor looked betrayed, as if the consul should have told him this before. ‘Why keep the pretence of the curse? Why make Eros forbidden to parabatai?’
‘The nephilim has always been afraid of what they do not understand, Victor. It will do one no good to know about this. There will be many questions, riots and unrest.’
‘Than we will answer those questions, control those riots and avoid the unrest. People should know.’ The inquisitor pleaded.
‘No victor, no one can know and that is my decision. You should respect that.’ The consul claimed.
The inquisitor did not reply immediately, but stood up and made his way to the office door.
‘It seems that you too are afraid of what you do not understand, Josiah,’ the inquisitor said finally and closed the door behind him.
The consul stared furiously at the closed door and returned to his papers with a troubled expression.

Do You Want To Start A Scandal: Book Review
I'm happy I finally got to finish up this series, maybe not in a timely manner, and technically not in its entirety (I skipped the novellas, though I'm sure they were cute.), but still I'm marking this one as finished up. With that said, let's get on with my thoughts, feelings, and rambles on...
Tumblr media
All Charlotte wanted was to avoid scandal. Instead, she was caught in the arms of a mysterious, handsome lord...and he's not letting go. On the night of the Parkhurst ball, someone had a scandalous tryst in the library. Was it Lord Canby, with the maid, on the divan? Or Miss Fairchild, with a rake, against the wall? Perhaps the butler did it. All Charlotte Highwood knows is this: it wasn't her. But rumors to the contrary are buzzing. Unless she can discover the lovers' true identity, she'll be forced to marry Piers Brandon, Lord Granville--the coldest, most arrogantly handsome gentleman she's ever had the misfortune to embrace. When it comes to emotion, the man hasn't got a clue. But as they set about finding the mystery lovers, Piers reveals a few secrets of his own. The oh-so-proper marquess can pick locks, land punches, tease with sly wit . . . and melt a woman's knees with a single kiss. The only thing he guards more fiercely than Charlotte's safety is the truth about his dark past. Their passion is intense. The danger is real. Soon Charlotte's feeling torn. Will she risk all to prove her innocence? Or surrender it to a man who's sworn to never love?

This novel started out so entertaining, and I definitely loved the banter between Charlotte and Piers, as well as their meet-cute. The little mystery that Dare wove was fairly fun as well, and of course she gave you plenty of her regular charm. That being said, for me, this didn't exactly stick the landing. I've learned, that in this series at least, Dare is going to make her couple have an argument or a misunderstanding fairly close to the end, and honestly I feel like it doesn't leave a lot of time for forgiveness and understanding to feel believable. I suppose at times, it feels rushed.
Now, the ending wasn't terrible by any means, but it did almost go up in... flames. The hero is someone you can like and root for during a majority of the story, but as soon as the L word comes out it's like he turns into a complete ass. He's also not just an ass in his emotions, but his actions as well, considering he stages a fire in the heroine's bedroom, burning up some of her belongings, putting her in even worse social ruin, and causing a strain on one of her dear friendships. I'm all for working through issues, but damn, nearly burning a bedroom down is almost too close to being a psychopath for me. Still, everything gets worked out in the end, as it always does in a romance novel. Piers also isn't the worst hero I've ever had to experience, but I just wish we had been given a little more time to work out the fact that he literally set her bedroom on fire.
There was also the fact that I wish we'd had more time with Delia and Charlotte's friendship, and I'd be interested to read Delia's story as well. One final look at all of our Spindle Cove girls would have been nice as well, but all things considered, this was a decent enough send off.

If you are a TSC fan, keep reading. It’s long but bear with me, it’s worth it:
Cassandra Clare has said that in TWP the shadowhunters will face the biggest threat in shadowhunter history that will change the world of shadowhunters forever. If this is true, there is no way that shadowhunters alone will be able to stop this threat because their numbers have been dwindling low since the Dark War, and a good amount of them are now stuck in Idris forever (not complaining, Zara can rot in hell). Even with the help of downworlders, it might not be possible to win the war against this new threat. But, the shadowhunters have a secret weapon that only a few of them know about: Livvy Blackthorn. What can Livvy probably do? Communicate with the dead. Livvy can get a message to Lucie Herondale (who will obviously be dead in TWP era) and tell her that the shadowhunters are facing a huge threat and need her help. So what does Lucie do? She commands all the dead shadowhunters and downworlders in heaven to come with her to help take down this threat. Just imagine how iconic this would be. All our favorite characters who are now gone, fighting with their descendents and friends. Now imagine Jem fighting besides Will one last time, and Tessa getting to see Will and her children all fighting alongside their parabatais. Think about Henry not being paralyzed and being able to fight alongside Charlotte and his kids. All the Lightwoods would be there (Cecily, Gabriel, Gideon, Sophie, and their kids), in one last epic battle. Imagine how amazing it would be when all the present characters get to meet the characters from the past in true shadowhunter fashion, fighting in a battle that seems almost unwinnable. Even downworlders like Raphael, Jordan, and Woosley Scott could make an epic appearance. Also think about all the dead shadowhunters that we don’t even know exist that would be there. Or ones that we do know but not well: Eloise Ravenscar and Silas Pangborn, Granville Fairchild, and even Jonathan Shadowhunter himself would be such a power move. I’m not saying that any of this is actually going to happen, but if it did, it will literally give me chills, I would probably cry, and it would be the most memorable shadowhunter scene ever (and that’s saying a lot). Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
*also, Cassie, please never stop writing shadowhunter books. @cassandraclare
