Like many others before, they once made themselves a faithful servant. The two of them were meant to monitor their planet and areas beyond it. That turned out to be a failed project when one of them abandoned the other.

I walked 12 miles today through towns, along dual carriageways and a brief stint past garlic-smelling fields ... angry and annoyed the entire time that I may as well have been walking the Osmotherley-Kildale route as planned. I’m frustrated that I gave up so easily, never acknowledging how resilient I usually am and that I could’ve carried on for at least the last bit and I wouldn’t now be feeling so trapped and weak. It meant I couldn’t actually enjoy where I was, yet stupidly I’d given up on the trail partly for the basis that I MAY not enjoy it. I should’ve risked it because I’d put so much effort into planning it, but instead I spent more time planning other things that were nowhere near as exciting or challenging.
