Like don't get me wrong a huge lizard that breathes fire and flies is something that middle school me liked of course but not as much as I loved krakens. Idk why a giant deep sea creature interested me so much but it did. Honestly it still does.

It's interesting, In Ninjago, we've only heard two different languages being used, Ninjargon and Stone Warrior (Kai also says "muchacho" in s1 e1 which implies a Spanish adjacent language or something but that's neither here nor there.)

Despite this, there ARE other languages, Magical language (it's how I encompass the spells Mystake recited and Clouse's spell book) and Djinn magic, the latter being only mentioned in a book.

The weird thing is though, all the realms seem to use Ninjargon as their WRITTEN language, as seen within the Never-Realm, Realm of Madness, Imperium, and probably more... what is goin on in the linguistics of Ninjago man...

I wish for them to interact. Between the Toga-Twice-Hawks connection, Ochako being the one to save Toga, Hawks letting himself get stabbed by a Toga Clone, the parallels and contrasts between Hawks and Twice's fight and Ocha and Toga's fight, and Ochako inspiring him at UA with her speech, they have potential for an interesting scene if they ever talk

The implications of Darius being to the Hagsquad what Willow is to the Hexsquad is making my brain spin

Does this mean Darius was "the late bloomer that became extremely powerful"?

Or was "bullied but found a supportive peer group & eventually gained confidence"?

"The first to realize the protagonist & love interest's feelings for each other"?

IT'S SO! AHHHH. Like Willow is the PERFECT choice to be the one he mirrors for the group but also ALL THE WAYS HE COULD BE HER MIRROR ARE SO INTERESTING TO THINK ABOUT. IS HE ANY OF THESE? ALL OF THEM? A MIX?

We know both are complete badasses among their peers (Willow is arguably the strongest of the group, and Darius is arguably the strongest Coven Head) but now I have so many ideas for how they could mirror each other further.

I don't know how I'd ever convey this in art but. Thinking very deeply about how in boy king au, a very crucial part of characterization is that Seb is a wolf in sheep(or lamb more specifically)'s clothing and Fernando is a sheep in wolf's clothing.

Seb is very unassuming, very delicate, seemingly very vulnerable and malleable. But, deep down, he can be very ruthless. It's in the the way he hesitantly declares war, with a spark in his eye and a suppressed smirk. In the way he challenges someone to a card game or a horse race, proclaiming that he's not great, but winning every round and prancing around the room and mentioning it ad infinitum. The way he's able to instantly turn the tide in a debate in one fell swoop. By showing all his cards constantly and letting himself be vulnerable, he's making himself invulnerable. No one would ever consider him to be able to make big moves, so he wins every single time, because no one even thinks to expect it from him.

Fernando on the other hand, is constantly committed to having a looming presence and harsh reputation, but deep down, he's soft. He knows what happens to people when they're vulnerable, and he's not going to let himself be taken advantage of. The way he keeps a brave face when being informed of the marriage proposal, but goes back to his room and cries. The way he proclaims that he was always going to be the rightful ruler of Spain, but confides to Flavio that he never thought there was any real chance of it ever happening. The way he takes himself so seriously in public, but inside feels so giddy whenever he can make someone laugh. Everything to him always feels unstable and ready to crumble at any moment, and he's not willing to contribute to that by letting himself relax.

I think thats why it's very difficult for them to get along at first, because they have completely different approaches to how they carry themselves and make their way through life. Seb is confused at Fernando because he feels that he's very bland and overly serious at first, but truthfully he's not really seeing the actual Fernando. And Fernando finds Seb to be naive and easily taken advantage of, but that's because he's never seen Seb at his most cruel. Seb really loves when he eventually gets to see Fernando being vulnerable, and Fernando really admires and respects Seb when he sees him being serious. I think it just takes a while for them to show the other their full and complete selves, even the parts they can sometimes be ashamed of. There's this very compelling dichotomy in Seb laying out all his cards, but still being very difficult to read, and Fernando keeping his cards to his chest, but his intentions often being easily seen through.

Idk what got me thinkin but does Bram remember Fyodor? I don’t even know if they actually met face to face in the modern era but regardless would Bram know who he is or was the interaction to short for him to remember? picturing baby jaiden, elquackity (who just went by quackity, at the time) and foolish sitting around a table at the big colorful room in the federation facility. projects blue bird, duckling and goldfish, respectively.

they like drawing and doing the tasks they're asked to, even if sometimes they're odd. they're surrounded by labs, and there's lots of writing and reading. it's okay. the bears are friendly enough and soothe their questions if they have them -- one way or another. their caretakers and each other are all they've ever known.

fast forward twenty years or so. the three of them are finally out in the world. jaiden, fully-grown and flaunting the very same blue wingspan she used to dream of. foolish, now a shark. and elquackity. the one who got held back, and the only one who remembers.

the other two have had their brains picked. scraped free of white walls and any memory of growing up. it's part of the task. the greatest, most important one they've ever been entrusted with.

they're nearly strangers. they can't exactly count on each other anymore. still, somehow, it's like they gravitate. in the absence of facts, the heart makes do. the bird and the shark band together. circling each other until they wind up on the same doorstep they started in, albeit unknowingly. the bears welcome them in silence. it's a greeting, but they don't know it yet.

elquackity has it harder -- an untouched mind is a heavy burden to bear, here. his job is simple: act the part you've been given. this means taking over someone else's memories, even though he still has his own. he's pretending times two, and he's not even doing that good of a job.

nevertheless, the experiment carries on. it's much bigger than any of them.

watching his once friends from afar, always far, elquackity wonders if he'll ever be able to truly enjoy the island.

i remember apparently there's a quote where gilgamesh says he acts as a northern wind? in which he topples over and challenges his citizens in order to make them grow sometimes.

i find it funny though how this lines share so much in common with the demon king of the southwestern wind, Pazuzu. Guess that may be a reference to said demon.

Maybe this ancient being is also a force of chaos and change that can both destroy and defend others? They're both Mesepotamian figureheads, so this may be more than coincidence.
