Like... it makes sense? Kinda? Not the way they did it and with the way they kinda killed the charas, but them kinda losing hope and ending up finding comfort in each other while lost and away from the "real'' world sounds interesting to me

i just rewatched Knives Out with my mom and she didn’t like it and i’m kinda disappointed in her honestly so i spent 15 minutes explaining to this poor woman everything that i like about the movie and when i finished she basically just told me “cool, but i just didn’t like it” and like, i knew that, fair enough, but also whyyyyy

Reminder:

You don't have to monetize your hobbies. You don't have to make a job out of the thing that u love to do. If u do, and u like it, that's ok, but the point is that YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

If u like to paint, to sing, to code, to write, or if u are interested in history, or cinema, or chemistry or u like to do math in ur free time or sew clothes, u can do that without it being ur job and it would still be ok and amazing and not any less valid or fun. Sometimes people tell u to follow your dreams and ask u "what do u like to do?" and tell u "you should study that" or "you should find a job that let's u do that all day", and some people do that and are happy with it, but sometimes a job is just... a job.

YOUR JOB CAN BE JUST A JOB.

It can be just a mean to make money and pay for shit. Not saying that u should do something u absolutely hate, but u get what i mean. You have to work to live, but you don't need to live for your work.

So... if when people see u do something u enjoy and tell you "why don't u do that as a job?", u panic because they kinda have a point, but also the idea doesn't sit right with u... if u tried to make a career out of the thing u like, but u failed because having to do it all the time took out the fun in it and u couldn't do it anymore...remember that finding a random job and leaving the things u love as a hobby is very much a valid option.
