Steve makes the same face for every time he realises Danny is ranting/cranky because he is worried about Steve. No matter how many times it happens it seems to take him by surprise. A year later 'still cares?' another year 'still cares?' two years later 'still? just checking but it's nice. Love you too'.

No one has ever cared about his safety and his life so consistently, it's still a wonder to him that Danny, his favourite person in the world, gives a shit about him. Especially since he doesn't put much value on his own life himself.

Danny cares, he cares So LOUDLY he would yell self-preservation into Steve if he could. Sadly due to his abandonment issues Steve doesn't have object permanence when it comes to his loved ones loving him in return so he makes a face of a slack-jawed surprise completed with a barely contained smile of delight and fondness because his crush shows signs of caring about him.

Rewatch Party for Hawaii Five 0!

OK, so I did some research and we have several options for a rewatch party for Hawaii Five-0 on March 10 (Friday) The first step is for me to load the pilot and ten other episodes into google drive, second step is we then decide the second episode we want to watch (along with pilot) and then:

🌸OPTION 1: somebody streams the video in the discord server, and we can all watch and chat.

Problem 1 - I am a nomad and me trying to stream anything will be problematic in the location I will be camped in March. So somebody else would have to do the streaming.

Problem 2 - Discord can supposedly get very glitchy if you try to watch videos.

🌸OPTION 2: There are some apps that we can all download, so we dan stream google drive videos and still chat.

Problem 1 - you have to plug google drive into these apps and its supposedly kind of tricky.

Problem 2 - google drive is super glitchy on these apps.

🌸Option 3: Everyone just downloads the episodes, and then watches on their own device or screen, while we chat.

Problem 1 - Requires people to have two devices or do a split screen/corner screen, so they can watch and chat.

Problem 2 - We would have to decide where we want to chat. I think? the discord server would be easiest but we could also see if the mods at fan forum would allow us to make a discussion thread on the H50 forum.

I am thinking option 3 is easiest—and we just use discord—but what do y’all think? Any ideas or options I missed???

also, also I am currently aiming to have the pilot, plus the 10 most requested episodes, uploaded to google drive by mid-January so—I am still looking for the episodes everyone wants!

currently it looks like 2x10 (North Korea rescue) 3x6 (bomb episode) and 5x17 (stakeout episode) and 7x18 (school dance hostages) are pretty popular!

of course, if we can figure this out, then we can have other rewatch parties since we would need to watch the other 9 episodes, right?😄

Just now noticed this piece of dialogue in 2x10 when Joe White first introduces us (and Danny) to Frank Bama:

I never knew it was canon that Joe played the guitar—but isn't it sweet that little Stevie learned to play the guitar from his Uncle Joe? At least that's gonna be my headcanon from now on. :)

Mcdanno meta. 2x10

Okay, this is a quick mini meta, I was sneaking into this fandom three years ago when I first met these boys, but I actually decided to finally swim in it lately.

Ii rewatching season 1 and season 2, and I just want to point something my meta eyes saw... I don't have all the elements bc I couldn't find the gifs or the scripts (so, if someone knows where I can find it, please let me know).

Certainly, season 2 was full of kidnapping, mostly son or daughter kidnappings. And you could say, foreshadow for Danny's incoming hard moment when Grace is kidnapped, but also, episode 2x10.

Episode 2x10, when Steve McGarrett was thinking about Danny the moment he made his WEIRD SNOW ICED BLONDE BEST INTRO EVER. (To make honour to Steve's cast).

Writers even gave us a clue when Danny rescued Steve in the mountains... Right?

Snow iced guy, will show us through the following episodes he cares about boys that just came out from school and intercepts them before they could see his dad dead on the floor, or that he will take care of the dog from a dead guy. Steve will see Danny is not that iced as he thought.

So when that woman that lost her boyfriend in episode 2x08 asked Danny what would he do if the person you love goes to the other side of the planet, and she pointed, she followed her lover, Danny just lowered his face. Because he plenty understood. Because he did that for Grace and Rachel, and he will do that for McGarrett, more than once.

But let's focus in the first time Danny did it.

Danny mentions 'sacrifice and friendship' while watching a beautiful classic movie "Enemy mine" and feeling moved about it. Another clue for Steve, Danny is not that iced.

But, sacrifice and friendship, Danny's values. To cross the whole planet to find the one you love, another Danny's value.

So, first of all, Steve is enjoying there how worried looks Danny, he even checks him out, because he loves to see him worried about him. We all know Steve felt attracted to Danny at this point of the show.

Steve's face is showing us surprise but also disbelief.

Because that's the face someone does when he was thinking about one singular person in a very difficult situation, thinking about not being able to see him again. And that's the face that someone does when that person shows up from nowhere.

So, Steve's face right there is screaming: "It can't be true, is that Danny? It can't be. Oh yes! Is Dany! OMG! I was thinking about him and now he is here!"

Disbelief, Surprise, Relief. Those are Steve's facial expressions.

Because he thought he was about to die, and he was thinking about Dany, the whole time, about how worried Danny was, about he wouldn't be able to see him again, about Danny not coming because he has Grace and he needs to take care of her, why would Danny come for him?

And then this...

The fondness in Danny's touch, he carresses Steve's forearm as if he was saying "I'm here, don't worry, I've got you." (Thanks Trish again here)

And Danny made the BEST BLONDE INTRO EVER again.

To Conclude

The joke became true, and I really believe Steve was thinking about his Danno in the precise ment Danny finds him.

And this is just the beginning, because Danny will cross the world again to save Steve, as we know.

I got inspireeeeed, again 😊. Yesterday I watched 1x20, 5x07, 2x10 (and additionally 4x21 and 5x16 that gave me some ideas to give it a try and write a post ep ff, we’ll see when that one will be ready). Anyway, these moments were some of the best and worst that could have happened to our boys, so the idea to make an edit with these particular moments stuck with me until I caught myself capturing screenshots. But, I decided that I’ll insert the hugs from 1x23 and 3x14 too (blame me for wanting cuddles and hugs between these two😍). The text is lyrics from a song by LL Cool J ft. Fitz and The Tantrums “Not leaving you tonight”. I was talking with a friend on Twitter when the idea came up and while I was waiting for reply the lyrics of this particular song sounded in my head. I made this blog the same night I finally discovered the term "whump", and it was literally the first thing that came to mind. Whump, and lots of it. Thus, WhumpGalore. Lol. Very original, I know.

This is a side-blog! More than once, I've wished it was my primary blog, but, ah, well. You've probably seen my main blog following/liking posts around the whumpiverse as @mikailahautumn. haha. (Pls don't stalk me. ;)) That was my first tumblr blog, created for the sole purpose of reblogging/posting pretty photos & words. I also have a "fandom" side blog where I obsess over non-whump-related things. @cryingoverastory

I honestly have no idea. (And I'm too lazy to find out. Lol.) I started this blog on February 18th, 2014, however. Still can't believe I was 17 when all this happened. haha.

No... I rarely queue posts. And when I do, I don't tag them. haha.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

@fyeahvulnerablemen and @whumpersunited were the first whump blogs I ever discovered, and once I made the connection between the terms whump and hurt/comfort, I just had to make my own blog to save/document my favorite whump scenes. ;) I like things organized, so I decided to tag everything by episode and injury type for easy access. And the rest was history!

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Because Steve McGarrett in H50 2x10 was the first thing I watched after discovering the term "whump", and he remains one of my favorite whumpees. It was the first icon I chose when I made this blog, and I just never changed it. xD

7. why did you choose your header?

Uhh... *double checks header* I don't actually have one right now. Lol. Going for the minimalist look at the moment. But, before that, pretty sure it was also Steve McGarrett. And the reason? See my response to the previous question. ;)

I rarely check it every day, tbh... more like a few times a week. I'm too busy right now to devote as much time to this blog as I'd like to, so hopefully I can get back to that in the future. ;)

Noooope. I did have a minor misunderstanding with an anon at one time, but we talked it out and the original person actually came back and apologized. :') That was the first time I really saw the incredible foundation the whump community is built on -- the quality and the genuine kindness of the people in it. Still one of our proudest moments, in my opinion.

15. how do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

I'm a rebel. Sooo, if somebody tells me I "have" to do something, that's a guaranteed way to make sure I don't do it. Lmao. That being said, if it's something that genuinely interests me, I'll reblog it like I would anything else. [shrugs] Pretty simple. ;)

Yessss! I love them! I'm actually the worst at participating in them, but I do love to when I get a chance.
