Bestie! Dad Carmy

Surprise! Dad! Carmy is still rotting my brain. Just thinking about Carmy during the 12-18 month stage with his first baby (more btc). 

Bc like I don’t have kids myself yet but have been around them a lot and 12-18 months is when things start getting fun. Babies are laughing and starting to talk a bit more and show interests. 

He would absolutely be a clingy dad. Like the first year I absolutely think he would have Syd take the reins on the restaurant and he would more handle the back of house book type things so he could just stay home more, but if he did have to go to the restaurant - I can see his little angel being The Bears mascot. 

Like he would walk in, sunglasses on, baseball cap, dad mode activated wearing his baby on his front like in one of those stretchy carriers. His baby even would have on little sunglasses herself bc she gotta twin with dad, that’s her bestie. He would walk in through the back and go into the office just to grab something on his way to run some errands but would run into Tina or something and it would become a whole ordeal. 

If it’s pre-service time everyone is taking turns holding her and playing with her, Carmy is proudly showing off as soon as she can say ‘dada’. You can bet if it’s pre-service he’s getting her all dressed up in a cute outfit before he goes by because he knows everyone is gonna gush over how cute she is. He would be so blushy and proud and happy whenever he has his little mini-me with him, his mood would be a full 360 from when he’s just there to work and get shit done. 

And don’t get me started if one day you went for family dinner as a surprise and they’re all sitting at the table and his baby just toddles in holding her baby bear in one hand and some random kitchen tool like a whisk she picked up as you snuck in through the back and just gently taps his side and offers it to him bc she just associates cooking tools with daddy since he’s always holding them. He would be sooooo happy like the esp if it was the first time you had surprised him with her at work- Syd would be like 

“I dont think I’ve ever seen him smile that way - it’s kinda creeping me out” but he doesn’t even notice enough to tease her back because he’s so entrenched in making his baby giggle and having her try the food they’d been eating to see how she likes it since at that age they’re old enough to eat solids. 

Don’t even get me started on music that baby would love music all babies do but really anything art because I mean look who her dad is but never in his life did that man ever think he would WILLINGLY dance around especially in a silly way but MAN as soon as his baby starts dancing to music he can’t help himself he’s up copying them, showing them his own dad moves to make them giggle, AUGHHHH 

Also ofc your baby would want to be like her mama as well, so she would play in her kids makeup sets and show her work off to him and when he is over the moon and tells her how pretty she is and how well she did, shes gonna puppy dog eye him into allowing her to do his makeup, so one day you just come home and carmy has a head full of butterfly clips, cherry red lipgloss, and bright blue sparkly eyeshadow as well as pink blush and a tiara on with your daughter in a matching one fallen asleep infront of the tv with tangled playing or some other disney movie omggggg ugh i love him

A/N: also I know I said I’d call Sugar from MLL Mrs. B but it feels so formal to use it all the time and I remembered that Steve calls her Magnet and I think ppl calling her Mags would make more sense than Mrs. B so Mags is Sugar lolol

Steve walked in to his shared home with you after a long day of work. He was excited to wash the day away and spend the evening with you. Without much thought Steve walked into the living room where he knew he’d find you. Since you had started your second trimester, every day without fail, you’d take a nap. It was a running joke between the two of you that the couch had been laced with a sleep aid because every that sat there would eventually get sleepy.

Just what he thought, Steve found you on the comfy couch but this time he noticed the huge pillow you were surrounded by. You looked so comfortable in that moment but Steve frowned slightly at the thought that he couldn’t sit and place your head on his lap. Still Steve leaned over the back of the couch and pressed a kiss to your temple before heading to take a shower.

When he came back down you were in the kitchen drinking some water. You smiled at Steve as he got closer and placed a hand on your growing belly.

“Hi honey, how was your day?” He says before pressing a kiss to your forehead.

“Good and uneventful. How was your training?”

“Good, same as always with the new trainees. They want to impress me and go overboard.” Steve grabs some water for himself. “How was your nap? You looked comfortable.”

You smile and sigh.

“It was amazing. Mags got me the pregnancy pillow and it’s so comfortable. I love it.”

“That was nice of her.”

“Yeah, I can’t wait to use it in bed. I bet I’ll sleep even better with it.”

“Excuse me, what?” Steve looked genuinely horrified at the thought of that pillow in your shared bed. “That thing isn’t going in our bed.”

You immediately pout and cross your arms over your chest.

“Why not? It’s comfortable.”

“Well you have me. Don’t you want to cuddle anymore?” It was Steve’s turn to pout.

You move around to stand in front of Steve and you grab both his hands. “My darling you know I love to cuddle up with you but I haven’t been sleeping that well. I just need the extra support.”

Steve groans but accepts that your comfort is more important than some cuddles. You get up on your toes and kiss his cheek before leaving to place your new pillow on your bed.

For weeks Steve had to watch you get comfortable with that damn pillow. Bucky had told him that it was the best and worst thing ever invented. Steve could only agree. While he was more than happy for you to get a more comfortable sleep, he hated being separated from you.

You on the other hand couldn’t stop giggling at the hatred Steve had toward an inanimate object. He would glare at the pillow every chance he could. And you’re sure that if he could, Steve would burn that pillow just so that he never had to see it again.

It wasn’t until Steve had come back injured from a mission that he finally understood the comfort of the stupid pillow. Steve woke up from a nap after being discharged from the medbay and he was surprised when he found himself wrapped up with the pillow.

“You seem comfortable.” You giggle as you enter your room.

Steve tried to push the pillow away but it was too late. You'd already seen him and now he knew that you would never let him live it down. He tried to move to help you get into bed but with how hurt he was he could only sit by and watch you wiggle your way into a comfortable position.

"C'mere." You open your arms and Steve settles in next to you.

His hand immediately lands on your swollen belly and he sighs happily while you play with his hair.

"How are you feeling?"

"Better, now that I get you to myself."

"You've have me to yourself all the time." You say with a smile.

"Not with that monstrosity in the way."

You laugh again. "The baby will be here faster than you think and soon that pillow will be gone from our bed. Just hold on a little longer."

"I'm burning it after Bee is born."

You huff a laugh. "You can't burn it."

"Why not?"

"Well," you feel flustered just at the thought. "What if we have more kids? I'm going to need it again."

Steve pulls back to get a better look at you. His eyes are soft and full of love.

"You want to have more kids?"

"Yes, maybe. Only if you do too."

Steve gives you a lopsided grin and rests his head against your chest. "I guess the pillow stays."

BJYX - Thursday Madness ( 12/7/23 )

I don’t know what’s with this date that they both decided to attack us with updates. We were prepared for WYB, because the event was planned tho he still surprised us with some bits. I swear when I saw the alert on my phone for XZS update I was 🫢🫢🫢. They are both feeding us so well.

Here’s my attempt at doing a recap of the candies ( and other things ) we got today. This may not be all inclusive, I only added the popular ones being talked about.

Our day started pretty early when WYB posted on his Weibo. All of the attendees of the event were actually sharing some pre show photos on their accounts and some of us were waiting what’s he gonna post. Everyone else were sharing professional photos but then WYB goes ahead and shares a b&w photo that tells us he is still in bed 😂😂😂 this bitch. I also feel like he didn’t want to shoot outside the exclusive “town” cause there are people going around and they may crowd if he does opening shooting. The night he arrived, 12/6, everyone saw Lele / Yanyan around but no WYB. So he was really trying to not be seen unless it was time for the show.

The photo itself is kinda mysterious tbh. It’s like something you can send to your s/o and be — “im waiting for you” HAHAHAHAHA! Tho I think for WYB he can send a more explicit one to XZ 🫢🫢🫢 So we get the PG version. What we noticed is the channel he is tuned in is CCTV 5. He said this in an interview with XZ, that when he is alone, he keeps the TV open with CCTV 5 and Volume 3. So he’s still doing it! Also, this was taken using his Leica M11 b&w. I feel so happy knowing that! He is still on his photography hobby. Too bad he couldn’t go around the venue cause i bet there are lots of sights to see. The Leica CPN is only getting stronger. ☺️ ( I have already talked about the Leica CPN at length, so just search it on my blog ). Side note, even if the photo was so simple it went on HS #7 lol. His power.

Then it was time for WYB to make his appearance and he didn’t disappoint. First of all, he was in YELLOW. BXG color. Yeah, it could be a stylist choice or whatever. But this is a clowning space and I think we are free to interpret it as a sign for us.

But what’s more glaring is his hat. It looks so much like the one he wore at CQL concert & fan meet. Also reminds us of the whole One Piece CPN between them ( the post i’m linking is a starter but there has been more examples since like this one ).

To be fair, WYB is someone who loves a good old hat/cap. from his bucket hats & caps — that is more for anonymity. It also extends to his performances like 11/11 finesse or the initial photoshoot for ROMW. What i’m saying is, we should not forget the fact that this is his personal preference as well and not entirely because of candy. Tho I have to say that the style is interesting. Why does it have to be so close to that? It’s like he is bringing us back memory lane.

WYB is honestly so beautiful today. He always is but there was something about his aura. He is chill. He was genuinely interested and i found it sweet of him, during the boat ride, he was clapping for Rocco, like applauding him for the event i guess. In the meantime, on Weibo, the top hot search were people criticizing the “boat” thing on GQ ( literally something like GQ boat embarrassment was the tag ) As soon as the live started it went on 1 or 2. I don’t know if Bobo saw that but I just like how he showed his appreciation to Rocco, and by extension, his team. That’s just my interpretation and it could be a completely different thing but knowing WYB, he is very generous with acknowledging people.

I also want to address another “candy” some cpfs are laughing about, it’s a fancam where Rocco moves to sit with WYB before the boat sailed and WYB smiled and said no. They were interpreting that as WYB doesn’t want Rocco to sit with him. Speculating that as he doesn’t want to get close cause ZZ will be jealous. But if you look at it, he was asked if he wants to switch seats. WYB declined. He was okay with his position. I guess some people have some beef with Rocco & GQ and that’s fine. However, what we feel about certain things is not the same as what the boys would feel. I also think that at this point, It’s in WYB’s best interest to have a good relationship with people in the industry. For example him attending 10c Starlight, even if a lot of his so/os hate Tencent ( and with good reason ok sure ). He is only extending his reach and it’s better to not burn bridges.

That got serious, so here, have some comparison between the gremlin in 2018 to now. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

NEXT UP IS GG’s VLOG. I don’t know why it slipped my mind, they usually post on Thursdays, but anyway —

The first thing is the BGM for the exercise section of the vlog Hans Zimmer/Richard Harvey《Preparation》 which was used in the 2015 movie The Little Prince. A favorite CPN symbol among us. Another glaring one is Uptown Funk. Hello. Bruno Mars? That’s WYB’s thing. Yes, ZZ has his own team who edits these but I am one of those that believes ZZ approves the final cut. He is also asked about certain choices cause let’s be honest — his suggestions matter cause he knows what looks good. He is a professional in that aspect too.

Next is his hand held fan! It’s the same brand but a different design. They finally upgraded!!!! 🥹🥹

This scene (p1) with ZZ’s fondness for leaning on railings and balconies. It reminds me of the fake rumor before that WYB hates it when he does that.

XZ has a habit of lying on the balcony guardrail in a daze. Sometimes on a higher floor, WYB feels unsafe and won’t let XZ get close to the guardrail. Except for shooting, XZ is prohibited from approaching the balcony guardrail.

I would have loved to get some more day to day bits of his vacation cause there is usually more candy in that. I want to see him roaming around, like this part, these two love to mimic what they see and take a photo beside it. Tho this is mostly GG’s thing. They really have the same braincell.

LASTLY, Let’s discuss XZS 🤝 YBO.

XZS starts talking about the hot wind, which is most likely talking about the weather in Singapore. But then minutes later, here comes YBO talking about a comfortable breeze. Lol. The the hot could also allude to that “summer” since WYB decided to remind us all with his photo and hat. Then YBO’s caption, drawing more attention to his hat, knowing that CPFs are clowning over it.

and what time did they post their last set for the day?? 00:38. These clowns. Zhan Bo. 🫢

Some are saying it’s out of character for XZS to post stuff like this when there is an event going on. For example today, the hot search is filled with talk about GQ. Which I can agree on to some degree, but his team have been posting mostly on Thursdays and they are already “due” for a vlog. However, when they have a vlog ready, the fans can usually see it on Weibo, we know that there will be something coming and i didn’t see any talk of that today. Or maybe i missed it? Others are clowning that this is his “answer” to WYB’s strong candy today, i personally don’t think so but it’s all good for us cause we have so much content!!!!! 💛

[Buck gets up and flies so he's in front of the Toons.]

Buck Ruffler: Okay! Leth's make it a bet then...

Buck Ruffler: Ith I win, you leathe and don't come back! Ith I lothe... I clothe thith plathe down forever!

[Buck gestures widely as the other Cogs get up to join him]

Buck Ruffler: Hahahahaha!

Buck Ruffler: Okay everyone, plathe your beths! Who'th gonna come out on top?!

Base Stats

HP: 12,000

Defense: 60

Cogs in fight: 5 {this is only the starting number, and Cogs can only be replaced upon being defeated under special circumstances}

Attacks

Spin+: Targets 2 Toons, does 35 damage. Applies the 'dizzy' debuff, which gives them -10% accuracy for the next turn. Accuracy: 80.

Quake: Targets all Toons, does 25 damage. Accuracy: 85.

Chomp: Targets 1 Toon, does 40 damage. Accuracy: 80.

Cigar Smoke: Targets 1 Toon, does 25 damage. Accuracy: 95.

Cheats: No Override

Spin+: Spin will target 2 Toons instead of 1 as well as applying the 'dizzy' debuff, which gives -10% accuracy for the next turn. This is used as a normal attack sometimes with no real trigger.

WAGER MANAGEMENT: Buck will use this cheat every turn by spinning his slots. If he rolls 3 in a row of the same picture, the corresponding cheat will occur. He has one of 5 outcomes, which are listed below.

Bust: Nothing happens {no 3 in a row}

777: An override is triggered {see override section for more details}.

Bars: A stack of golden bars are dropped on the Toons, doing 20 damage to every Toon and applying the 'squashed' debuff {represented by giving everyone a flat model}, which makes Toons deal 10% less damage for the next 2 turns.

Ducks: This outcome cannot trigger unless there are 4 or less Cogs in the fight OR at least one Cog who is not Buck is currently lured. Buck will summon a Level 25.exe Magnate OR Legal Eagle that's healed to +10% of its maximum HP. It has no special buffs.

Cherries: Buck earns a lot of Cogbucks, giving him a 20% defense buff for 3 turns.

RIGGED SLOTS: Buck will use this cheat once when he reaches 7,777 health or lower. It's a type of Wager Management that will always roll 777 to trigger an override.

Dialogue:

[Buck 'spins' his slots by moving the lever back and forth a couple times, making a few of the slots move a couple places and then actually spinning it]

Cheats: Override

TRIGGER DIALOGUE - NORMAL VERSION:

"PERTHONALITY OVERRIDE ACTIVATHED."

Spin++: Spin gains a buff so that it targets 3 Toons. It otherwise functions exactly the same.

WAGER MANAGEMENT: Buck will use this cheat every turn by spinning his slots. If he rolls 3 in a row of the same picture, the corresponding cheat will occur. He will have one of 10 outcomes, which are listed below.

777: His override is deactivated. This cannot happen for the first turn after an override is triggered, or not at all if rigged slots has been triggered.

Deactivation dialogue: "Woopthieth! That wathn't thuppothed to happen yeth!"

"Thlot mathine downgraded throm latetht patch."

Bust: Same as no override. Cannot trigger if Rigged Slots has occurred.

Bars: This cheat now does 30 damage.

Ducks: The Cog summoned is now a Level 30.exe with lure resistance {2 turns max}.

Cherries: Buck now gains a 50% defense buff. Additionally, he will deal +5 damage during this time.

Diamonds: Buck will gain the "focused defense" buff until 500 total damage has been dealt to him OR 3 turns have passed, whichever happens first. This cannot occur for 4 turns after it occurs.

Horseshoes: All Toons receive a 10% damage vulnerability for 2 turns. A random Toon will also receive the "horseshoed" debuff, which makes Cogs 50% more likely to attack them for 2 turns. This outcome cannot occur for 5 turns after it occurs.

Acorns: All Toons will receive a random Toon-up IOU buff along with +30 damage to their next non Toon-up gag. If a Toon is Toon-upless, they will instead heal for +7 laff. If a Toon brings no attacking gags, they will instead take 30 damage {LMHO}.

Chainsaws: All Toons will do +10 damage for the rest of the fight. This stacks infinitely.

Trees: All Toons will heal +77 laff points. This has the ability to "overjoy" Toons {healing them past their maximum laff, up to 10% of their maximum laff}. Overjoyed Toons will take 7% less damage until they have less than their maximum laff {they keep the buff at max laff} and cannot be tooned up unless another trees is rolled {same 10% cap applies}. This has a weighted probability to occur significantly less frequently than other outcomes.

WILD CARD {literal cards are the icons}: If three in a row are rolled, a random effect is chosen {but still cannot roll 777 if Rigged Slots has triggered}. If one wild card is drawn along with two matching symbols, then the effect will occur AND Buck will receive a 7% defense buff for a turn, do +7 damage for a turn, spawn a level 20.exe Cog {if spawn conditions are met, otherwise this is ignored}, all Cogs will receive random buffs for 2 turns, and all Toons will take anywhere from 1-25% less damage for a turn {randomly generated per Toon}. If two wild cards in a row are rolled along with a single symbol, the effect will occur as normal with no wild card buffs. Wild cards cannot roll twice in a row in such a way to receive a wild card buff, but otherwise there are no frequency restrictions.

[Buck Ruffler begins to tremble and shake, and if there were any other Cogs in battle they back away and then fly off at this point. His slots spin without any prompting from him and roll 777, forcing away his override]

Buck Ruffler: Well, I gueth we thoughth thair and thquare.

[Buck's slots go a bit haywire and then he collapses to the floor]

Jealousy arc let's gooooo... Hahaha I'm just kidding... Or not??? 👀 okay sorry I'm gonna stop the jokes.

So I think Cheol didn't hear Mi-ae asking Jisu not to tell him anything but he got kind of offended when she asked him what he was doing there lol but I think it's because she thought he was with no-face girl hearing her confession and when he didn't say anything she told him about what happened (they saw Sora and went running after her) but they lost her. Cheol still didn't said anything and was just staring at her (he was relieved Mi-ae was safe aww) she tried to wave her hand in front of him lol and he grabbed her and swayed her from side to side lol then Jisu said goodbye to Mi-ae (oops I forgot he was still there) and told her not to forget about their promise (I think she promised him to include him in their next bet about their scores in school) and this got Cheol attention, he asked "What promise?" And kept asking her when she didn't answer lol. Mi-ae looked so guilty and then explained everything (about Jisu chasing Sora in exchange to be included in their next bet) and Cheol got upset but then asked her if she didn't saw a kid who looked like a gangster and this got a reaction from Mi-ae (bacuse of what previously happened with mole-guy) Cheol saw her reaction and kinda panicked and grabbed her arm but Mi-ae said that she didn't saw anyone like that and he was like "but why are you like this?" and she kinda joked that it was not bacuse of that, but because Jisu was strange and funny lol and Cheol got mad again ( Hess's jeloooousss 🎶) and said "why are you taking about him again" but again she said she didn't saw anyone who looked like a gangster and asked him why he was so worried and jokingly said that "it seemed a bit excessive" and when I tell you that Cheol was so astonished and offended hahahahaha (my poor guy). Then I think a couple of days passed because then we see Cheol with his friends in cram school and one of them asks him if he knows when is Miae going to come back and Cheol got pissed and said "idk" (my guy is sulking haha) and then crushes a soda can with his hand and throws it in the trash can. Then makes a fist with his hand and asks himself "why" (because you're jealous that's why :^)

What a time for Vash to remember this scene. Strange that this is what he thinks of when he thinks about how close they've become. But perhaps that's when he realized how much Wolfwood genuinely cared about him. Also, I love how this memory interjects this sudden quietness in what's a very chaotic scene.

Vash is thinking about all the things Wolfwood has told him about why Wolfwood kills. As tragic as it might be, sometimes there are things one can only protect using extreme measures. One should always seek alternate solutions, if one can, but sometimes that's just not an option.

I'd bet good money that what Vash is specifically debating here is what extremes he's willing to go through to protect Wolfwood.

Heh, we get that line, and then we have Vash catch Wolfwood in almost an embrace. You can't tell me Nightow didn't know what he was doing here.

Ohhh, he can sense it in Wolfwood's body. His mans is not doing good.

This... this isn't the in-tandem fighting I wanted to see.

Man, he almost headshot Razlo. I feel like that might be the closest Raz is gonna get to a warning shot.

Hahahahaha, I was under the impression it was Wolfwood telling Vash to destroy someone in this panel. It just doesn't seem like something Vash would say. But they done really pissed him off.

Wolfwood gets how much he means to Vash here, too. Finally, these idiots understand each other, but... of course, it's a bit late in the game, isn't it.

Heh. Wolfwood's gonna give Raz an appropriate dressing down from his older brother.

Raz doesn't buy it.

The third arm is still stupid, but the layout of this panel is bomb.

That's so many bullets. Raz is getting his ammo from the same nebulous void that generates the unending ammo in Hellsing.

I always love seeing Wolfwood use the Punisher as a shield instead of a gun. There's something about the subversion of its intended purpose that just hits the right spot for me.

Chapter 5: Final Battle

This chapter title sucks. How dare it be the final battle. There are still four volumes to go....

Oof, there go Wolfwood's sunglasses. Matrix rules say he's in for it now.

Shoot, the gun didn't fire. But... does the Punisher even fire that way??

Raz makes Wolfwood look so small...

Did Wolfwood just disable one of Raz's Punishers?

Damn, kicking the empty magazine into Raz's chest is a crazy move.

RIP dumb metal arm. A very good tactical move since it's the one arm Raz can't regenerate.

Vash is just... watching. He knows this is what Wolfwood wants, but he doesn't look the least bit happy with this situation.

I'm not sure if it's Raz or Wolfwood speaking here, but if it's Raz, he sounds like someone who's trying to keep themselves psyched up when they're very clearly losing. If it's Wolfwood, then Wolfwood is just taunting him, since he's clearly already taken the upper hand.

Who knows what's happening in this panel. I assume they're sparring with the Punishers like they're giant swords.

So many bullets....

Heh, Wolfwood's using the ammo belt itself as a weapon.

I appreciate how the Punisher's diminishing stability here reflects Wolfwood's physical state. He's going down, but goshdarn, if he isn't making use of every resource at his disposal, even if it's in very non-traditional ways, to make sure he gets the job done.

Dang, he done fucked Raz up.

LOL, Raz gets it. Bit late, bro.

Seems like the only thing that's incensing Raz more than the thought of dying to Wolfwood is the thought of not dying to Wolfwood. That Wolfwood might show him mercy in the end.

Or maybe he just doesn't want to go out via something as simple as a punch to the face.

Alyx as the Fall Maiden....

Mwa hahahahaha, you literally read my mind! That was one of the three endings I was contemplating for how the Fall Maiden plot resolved. Maybe we'll see that, maybe we won't.

( I DID consider Pyrrha getting the powers properly, without the machine this time, cause we all can agree that she would be bonkers powerful. But, given the way that her assuming the Mantle was always phrased and presented for her, and what she was expected to give up, there's no way her getting the Fall Maiden powers were ever going to be anything but bittersweet or tragic, given what the Ozluminati would do to her personal life if she accepted.)

(Now, her getting the Spring or Winter Maiden powers if Raven choked on a peanut, or the pool old lady had a heart attack watching the Vytal Festival and saw she won millions because Jaune and Pyrrha made it to the final round and both fore-fitted to go get dinner and Fria had a bet on it.... lol, that remains in the realms of crack musings)

Alyx would be an interesting take on the Fall Maiden, not just because she would absolutely not take anyone's crap and be a wild card with those powers, but also because of her age and lack of combat training meeting with whatever Magic she may or may not have retained from the Ever After to see how she could use them.

Alyx would absolutely be a menace with the Maiden Powers, in a good way of course, but in this AU her desire to be Better and Jaune and Lewis's influence would see her eventually view them as a sword without a hilt more than anything, as opposed as the massive burden or target on your back that some of the other Maidens did, something to be used carefully, but with great enthusiasm when necessary.

(One of the other endings was Amber getting the powers back and waking from her coma)

i appreciate the message and you weren't the only person to say this, but i think some people are only part-way informed as to her journey reclaiming her name. her intention was never to scrap the nickname shappi or stop people from calling her that; it was 1) to reconcile her experience growing up in the uk with her name and how that led to her committing to shappi as a teen, and 2) to be published, credited, and billed as shaparak in professional capacities. she has clarified many times, including here and here, that it is totally acceptable to call her shappi; people on tv & radio still call her shappi after formal introductions, like in the new wilty when everyone calls her shappi throughout the entire episode; her social media handles are still shappi; and so on. she's shaparak, but that doesn't mean she "no longer goes by shappi". there is some confusion here i think some people are taking her journey, which was lovely to follow, as rejecting shappi — but that isn't the case.

i already updated her tag to 'shaparak khorsandi' a while ago and would definitely credit her full name where necessary, but socially, colloquially, like in the quick text post i made asking people to give shappi some love, there is no disrespect in calling her that! of course, plenty of people are credited by one name and are regularly called another/a nickname, like olivia colman who is actually called sarah by her family and colly by most everyone else. she seems really happy with having done her book and her recent show under her full name, and it's been beautiful to see her come around to love shaparak as much as she has loved shappi :')

WYB was probably watching an old performance of GG when he and xnine were guests in a show. Lol at Web saying it’s a skirt! It’s not! He just tied it on his waist. It’s so nice to think about Web watching idol XZ, I guess we are not the only ones who loved that era and wish to see him perform again. This show was back in 2017, hahahaha! They are truly each other’s fans. Even if they often act embarrassed about their old works, it’s so obvious that these two enjoy watching each other’s shows/appearances.

• Then talking about a Suona which is a traditional Chinese double-reed woodwind instrument. I wonder why XZ is using it. Probably for a role? Or maybe he’s being his talented self again and is picking it up for additional skill.

• HAHAHAHAHA this short exchange is my favorite. Even after all these years, XZ still remains to be the only one who wants WYB to shut up cause he talks too much.

• Another scenario of the young couple playing games. WYB is so cute saying “you’ve changed” to XZ. He’s really different around him. Usually when you put him in a situation where he has to be competitive, he’s no nonsense and will beat whoever the opponent is. but when he is with XZ, he will act cute. Winning is not important. It’s all about playing and spending time with his zhan ge.

W: "How about it"

• This exchange remind me of the green tea. They really have no issue with sharing each other’s drinks. What’s mine is yours.

• THIS HAD ME DYING. Yibo calls XZ xiao xiao (allegedly). This is so sweet.

W: "Yeah, let's leave after chatting, xx has to catch a plane"

The interesting part here is it was typed out as XX to represent his name. We think this is the time when he was photographed leaving Beijing with that Tod’s bag that had XX on it. I already made a CPN post about it but now i realize i might be wrong. It is still his name, it’s xiao xiao. Only that it’s what Yibo calls him. I cannot. ‼️‼️‼️ Imagine him saying that while coaxing XZ and with his puppy eyes. Imagine.

• One of the interesting exchanges we often see in LRLG recently is when zz/wyb talk with their staff. We already CPN that their staff know each other and work together from time to time. But this is on a whole new level. I like the fact that they are cool bosses and care for their staff’s lives too.

Staff “I didn't climb to the top, the environment doesn't allow it"

X: "Exercise is good, it's not that XXX has a glass walkway, you can do it next time to see”

The suspense bridge effect thing XZ is talking about is the idea that to make the one you love find it easier to fall in love with you — is in the situation that you two share the experience of feeling anxieties and fears. I honestly don’t know about this hahahaha! Xiao laoshi truly is a love expert.

Then WYB seemingly remembers something, probably a moment when XZ was feeling nervous. BXGs think it’s this interview, when he was stuttering talking about the person he loves. We already speculate that it’s about WYB and it made him doubly nervous because the person he is talking about is right infront of him. Also, these two have gone through life changing events together and more, so their love will only get stronger.

The talk about the team building is too cute! They want a separate one for XZS and YBO. Then you have WYB whispering that he wants just one for the two of them. A team building for this stinky couple! I give up! They are too much. 🙃

• One long exchange again.

Staff: "When will Teacher Xiao leave?

X: "In a few days"

Staff: "Be careful"

X: "What's the problem?"

I used strange but actually what it means is guài qì - weird or having weird temperament. I can only imagine being one of their staff and seeing these two as an example of what a couple should be like. The standard is too high!

• Finally, another round of WYB just talking. His humor. Lol. They can really talk about anything and laugh about it! It doesn’t matter what it is, he will share every bit to XZ.

The last part of LRLG’s message is really comforting as it says 快乐 平安 - Happy and Peaceful. 🕊 There’s been some quiet in the fandom lately and as with my previous post— unrest in their Country. A lot of things are up in the air and we don’t know what is gonna happen, so this message brings me comfort. I really hope they remain this way and if ever there are problems they have each other and the close group of trusted people around them. 🤍

I always try to respond to comments. I especially love when people have questions or want hints about what comes next.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

HAHAHAHAHA oh boy. Um... you... you want me to choose just one? hmmm... Alright so honestly I think while Afterimage and What Even is Three Minutes did numbers on the J/C crowd, nothing tops the cliffhangers at the end of Sailor Moon H: Half-Blood Prince in terms of how much angst they induced in readers. The double whammy: (1) the youngest senshi getting turned into a horcrux and taken hostage by Bellatrix Lestrange and (2) Morgana Avery, the OC whom I had carefully crafted to be a character you loved burning up her boyfriend's shop with dark magic and then casting the Dark Mark in order to infiltrate the death eaters as an undercover spy... My betas and I were taking bets on whether I'd get readers coming after me with pitch forks for that one.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

There's a few contenders but I don't think any happiness quite compares to Captain Kathryn Janeway in The Captain's Secret Santa, getting a puppy for Christmas.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

A smattering of memorable flames which I try to save to reflect back on when I need a good laugh.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

*opens trench coat* Smut you say? Well gosh golly gee. What in the blazes could that be? SMUT. Funny word. Hmmm. I'm not sure I know anything about that.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I have written exactly two. Sailor Delta is on hold for the moment because the other one Sailor Moon H has one story to go. And i think if there were an award for craziest crossover I would submit that one and have a good chance to be in the running. It would win on craziest word count and probably on shenanigans too. And then it had the nerve to give itself a real plot. I started that as a crack fic and it got a mind of its own. And I am still writing it 8 years later XD.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I had all of my unlocked works on AO3 gobbled up by the initial crawl that Open AI used to build Chat GPT and that SUCKED. Not because it's been reproduced wholesale but because they'll use my hard work to make millions of dollars and all of the writers who were included in that dataset are both uncredited and uncompensated. I don't think I've ever had a fic stolen by another human. But if you do see what looks like my fic anywhere fishy, kindly let me know!

No one has but I would be open to it!

I've talked about cowriting with @theredheadedcaptain but we both agreed that given our penchant for massively long fics that combining both of those tendencies was a very dangerously large project to contemplate XD

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

J/C is very near and dear to my heart but so is the Outer Senshi OT3 and I could never choose between them.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I am determined to finish all of my WIPs. Yes even SMH. Yes I know its been going on for 8 years. I am SLOW, okay. SLOW. Not lost. I know precisely how I want that thing to go.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I don't like tooting my own horn but okay... I feel confident in my ability to plot a long fic and see it through. In my ability to write something that brings you to your knees with emotion. And I do a damn good villain speech.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Time management. Word Count management. Oneshots.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Depends if it's there to be understood in context or there to stand out as not understood. I'd write dialogue in another language if it was there to be understood. I'd gloss over it if the intention was that the character and reader shouldnt understand it. I also wouldnt do it for whole lines of dialogue unless it was for a very good reason. Would prefer to throw in only the untranslateable words or to use greetings/honorifics and other smaller phrasal cues to indicate which language is being spoken.

W.I.T.C.H. in 2009-2010

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

Two:

I fell in love with writing The Universe to Mend this year and I've already re-read it once since finishing it in October. It brought me so much joy. It was such a fun challenge. and I think it was some of the best character work I've ever done.

While I wince when I re-read some of the typos, Pax Lunae was still the first ever story that I felt proud of and that remains true today. It was a challenge to dive into the lore of Sailor Moon and create something that could be canon. It was also the first fic I could hold up and say "Hey! I wrote something the length of a novel. I could write a novel" And I like to reread it to remember that feeling. Someday I'll have a chance to clean up some of the spelling too..
