One of the best and personally one of favorite romantic moments I have ever seen comes from the Syfy miniseries of Alice.

Now it has been a while since I’ve seen this series, so I can’t really speak about the quality of it as I don’t remember everything, but what I do remember and absolutely love from this show was the main couple of Alice and Hatter and the ending.

Alice has returned to the human dimension and she’s obviously changed, but can’t explain to anyone why and then her mom calls her out to meet their new neighbor or like a construction worker (for some reason?); and there’s Hatter, in the real world, and Alice immediately rushes to hug him, beyond happy to see him again

And I have always, ALWAYS, loved how he hugs her back and how his face looks when he says, “finally.”

Then they start kissing, which was lovely and all. Plus, the mom was super confused, which is pretty funny, because there’s just no logical explanation for why this was happening from her perspective.

But for me, THE romantic moment of this scene, that has been ingrained in my heart and mind for 13 years, was seeing just how happy and relieved Hatter was to have Alice hugging him and being with her once more. 

I loved that moment 13 years ago and I still love it to this day.

Still thinking of stuff for her, but her flame basically comes out of her horns, like hazard she can control it but it can change based on her emotions. I don’t rly know why I made her say take it back, I pictured somebody insulted something to do with her and she got mad. She was also a lil attention seeker as a child lol.

Also she won’t be apart of my au, since it involves the doomlords still doing their work and stuff. I just wanted to make a fanchild 😀 Maybe I’ll do something with her in the future but I really don’t know 🤷‍♀️

The REAL shower reveal scene I deserved 😤

The leaf blower’s been sitting in the Coopers’ garage for about a month. Alice keeps complaining that it’s taking up space, nearly trips over the darn thing every time she goes to her car.

It’s not that Hal’a ignoring her. He just…forgot. Or can’t seem to find the right time to bring it over back next door. It wasn’t intentional, is the point.

But he remembers today when he almost upends a whole bag of cat food. And Fred’s truck is parked out front, so. Now seems like a good time.

He lets himself into Fred’s garage, slipping the machine into a corner that he hopes won’t cause a nuisance like the one in his own garage, and, just for safe measure, heads up the back steps of the Andrews’ home to let Fred know what he’s done.

He gives a few quick knocks to the door, and when Fred finally answers he seems a little out of breath, hair damp and he’s dressed in nothing but a robe, bare chest exposed in the opening.

“Oh, sorry, buddy. Didn’t mean to disturb ya,” Hal chuckles. Fred’s cheeks go a little pink. Or maybe they already were.

“Yeah, no problem,” Fred pants. “Something I can do for you, Hal?”

“Just wanted to let you know I returned your leaf blower. Sorry ‘bout the delay-“

“Freddie, we gotta try that thing with the shower head again, it was-“

FP Jones, of all people, comes padding up behind Fred, hair dripping down his bare shoulders, bare chest… only a towel he’s clinging closed at his hips to cover him.

Fred seems to tense a little at his appearance, must not have heard him coming.

“Harold Cooper!” FP grins. “What brings you by this fine Sunday morning? Allie didn’t send you over, did she? Sorry if we were making too much noise-“ He starts to laugh, but Fred cuts him off with a swift elbow to his stomach.

Hal doesn’t really understand the joke, but that’s usually the case around these two. “Uh, no. Nope. Just returning something to Fred. I’ll let you two go back to your day!”

He waves them off, FP giving him a rather jovial goodbye in return while Fred mumbles something that sounds disgruntled as he shoves FP back inside and closes the door.

Those two. Always so strange.

He returns home to Alice sitting on the couch engrossed in the morning paper.

“The leaf blower is gone,” Hal states.

“It’s about time,” Alice responds, still behind the paper.

Hal takes a seat on the recliner across from her. “Oh, and the plumping must be busted down at Sunnyside again. Maybe we should write up an article, get some attention on it. People can’t keep living like that…”

“Hal, what on earth are you talking about?”

“FP. He was over at Fred’s. I’m pretty sure he had to use his shower again.”

At this, Alice finally folds a corner of her paper down, fixing Hal with one of her incredulous stares. “Hal…”

“What?”

"I don't blame you for being angry. I acted impetuously."

"No, selfishly. You acted selfishly!"

"Whatever word you wanna... use. Just let me make it up to you."

This has always been one of my favorite bits of dialogue from anything. Because it's witty and some good verbal sparring, in my opinion, as well as good word choices. And Alice is spot-on that Hatter acted selfishly. (But I also get why he, at least at this point, doesn't see it that way. At least not fully. And just thinks he acted impetuously.) Though the moment he realizes that Alice thinks he acted selfishly and is hurt by his actions, he wants to make amends; and this is the beginning of his becoming a better person (because he really is a good guy), their trust, and of course their eventual romance arc. And it's all just so good.

3. What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written? Ooooh that's really hard. Also it's different depending on the ship. For Sherlolly it's a tie between Wreck My Plans and This Love Came Back to Me. For Halice, it's definitely my ongoing fic that I really need to finish, and it's called Madder Than a Hatter.

4. How many WIPs do you have right now? Too many 😅 without actually checking my computer, I'd say 5 or 6 Word tabs are open. In my WIP folder, there's probably like 20.

5. What’s a fic idea you’ve had that you will never write? I've always wanted to write (or read) a Dirty Dancing AU for Sherlolly, but I doubt I could do it justice.

Whenever Master Hazard is embarrassed/flustered/or uh lovey dovey? his flame turns more of a pinkish color. I have the same thing going for when he’s mad, obviously his flame expands (like in the show) but gets more red just to show emotion ?? I have a lot more things I could go on about with hazards control of his flame and stuff but imma just talk about this. I’m trying to make sense here 😭
