Interested to know what Maya would think of Crow? He has beef with Earnest so he doesn't much like nerds but he mostly just tolerates the rest of the clique. I feel like he probably wouldn't pay Maya much mind, but he does hang with the greasers and Maya wants to befriend the greasers so they could meet like that. Also if she wanted to buy anything from him for whatever reason. He'd probably just smile and nod kinda awkwardly once she starts being awkward and too eager etc.

It is kinda iffy to befriend someone just so you could meet another group of people and Maya didn’t think that it’s a bad thing to do at first. Who knows? Maybe she’d like spending time with Crow instead of the greasers!

Maya is also a bit intimidated by Earnest. Never got close to him and never tried talking to him, so Crow says anything about him to her, she’d just hesitantly chuckle with no comment whatsoever. (vro thinks Earnest is the boogieman or something/j)

Maya sees first introductions to be the most impactful part of a conversation and this certain one is what she thinks would make her one step closer to talk to the greasers, so she tries out many different approaches on how she should greet him until she finds the best one, which is—having hands in her skirt pockets and having an “I don’t care” attitude, thinking it made her look cooler. (In case you are wondering, no, She in fact did not look cool and instead was acting more like Ignacio from Nacho Libre in the “where’s your robe, Ignacio?” scene. I love that movie sm)

She had everything already planned in her head before she goes to ask for alcohol…but dude, life isn’t some video game that already has pre-written dialogue, She had to brace herself for things that were unplanned (which she was not ready for at all). She’d think that whole interaction is gonna be a some sort of big deal for her to get a friend who wasn’t a part of the clique she’s in. Their first meet up is awkward since Maya made it awkward by taking pauses as she thinks in her head about what to say, but Crow being the top dawg he is, kept a smile on his face while she rambles.

After She’s out of the clique, Maya began to feel incredibly lonelier than before. She still had one friend, but honestly that soon just changed to acquaintance. She begins to believe that being alone might be the best thing for her. No one to bother and no one to bother her. It was like a win-win situation! (does she know?)

She’d most likely talk to Crow only for when she needs alcohol from him, or help from him in art since that’s the only subject she has a D in and she desperately needs someone who’s doing good to help her out + she’d def be jealous over Crow’s grades and would try to ask him to tutor her!

shopping with rafe’s money was fun…before he decided to take you shopping in person. online shopping was your hero cause, you got do it alone. no one had a say in it but this one sucked.

“that one’s better.” rafe spoke, pointing at the lilac version of the top you just picked up in yellow.

“did I ask you?” you retorted, it was the nth time of rafe telling you something else was better than the one you picked up and you were getting fucking tired.

“I can’t tell my girlfriend what looks better on ‘er?” he replied, scoffing. he knew his logic was flawed, but he didn’t care. rafe was never one to admit he was wrong. never. ever.

you almost let out a chuckle at his ‘my girlfriend’. oh, he remembered? shocking. you didn’t even knew why he was here. it’s not like he wanted to spend time with you. he wasn’t the type to say ‘let’s hang out together, I love you’, he said ‘you’re mine’. that’s all he cared about. he didn’t cared that he had a girl, he cared that people knew he had a girl.

the only plus was that, you were just using him as well.

it made you feel some sort of power, dating the kook prince as a pogue. of course the way he treated you —financially— was a big plus. besides that, you couldn’t care less about rafe’s feelings.

that was probably the biggest upside of your relationship. neither of you cared about feelings, which didn’t matter, at the end of the day. all you wanted was something to show off to other people.

Sundays had always been your least favorite day of the week, a bleak reminder that the hours of the weekend were waning and you'd have to return to the monotony of the weekdays. Perhaps the worst part of Sundays was that they were your designated cleaning day, you would much prefer spending your last day free from work lazing on the couch or curled up in bed, but instead, once again you found yourself bouncing around your apartment straightening up whatever cleaning you had left unfinished throughout the week.

The silence of your empty apartment had been getting to you, bored out of your mind as you stood on a chair to dust off a bookshelf. The only thing you figured that would this slightly more tolerable was music at least the apartment wouldn't be so damn quiet.

You hop down from the chair, scurrying into the living room to turn on your speakers. It wasn't long until music was flowing into the apartment, loud, and probably obnoxious to the neighbors, but it hadn't been late enough to warrant a noise complaint- so they would just have to deal with it for now.

Among the many plusses of having a musician for a boyfriend, you had to admit being in possession of a stellar stereo system was definitely one of them. You had been able to hear the music just as perfectly as you pranced back into your bedroom, not exactly eager to get back to cleaning.

Though it would seem not much cleaning would get done after that point, more focused on the music than any of the tasks you had at hand.

"Joost Klein maar m'n stack die is groot!" You sang along with the lyrics that boomed over the speaker. Another plus of having a musician boyfriend was that he was a damn good musician., "De regering zoekt mij, maar ze vinden me nooit!"

You had found yourself jumping around to the music, a smile pressed onto your face as you swayed your head back and forth in time to the beat.

Still jumping, your arms in the air you start to spin around when suddenly the breath is knocked out of you at the sight of a figure in the doorway to your bedroom. Your body grows rigid, stopping dead in your tracks as your mind races to the worst-case scenario.

Luckily it hadn't exactly been the worst-case scenario, as your eyes focused and you were able to see your boyfriend leaning against the doorframe, a wide grin plastered on his face.

"Why'd you stop?" He asks, clearly amused, "I was enjoying your performance. I think you might put me out of a job."

"Joost!" Your voice is sharp like you're scolding him for being in his own home. Your eyes widen at the shock, not having expected him to be home, much less having even heard him walk through the door, "I thought you said you'd be running errands all day."

Embarrassment begins to grow on your face, your eyes refusing to meet Joost's, a sheepish smile tugging at your lips as your body grows hot.

"I've actually been gone awhile," He chuckles, "I finished my errands."

"Hmm," You hum, looking down at your feet, "Time flies." You mumble.

"It does when you're having fun, which you looked to be having." Joost muses, an eyebrow-raising behind the thick rims of his glasses.

"Cleaning was getting boring," You shrug, still refusing to make eye contact out of sheer embarrassment.

Joost can clearly sense your unease as his smile still rests on his face, beginning to bob his head up and down, slowly walking towards you with some grove in his step,

"Maar ik blijf Joost en ik bleef in de derde zitten," Joost lowly sings along to his own voice over the speaker, his movements becoming livelier as he gets closer to you, "Soms haat ik kittens en haat ik ook science-fiction."

He grabs your hands, as to ask you to dance with him, but you're reluctant, only holding his hands in front of him as he dances on his own continuing to sing along to his own song.

"C'mon," He urges, "Dance with me?" An exaggerated pout rests on his lips as he stares down at you with big, blue, puppy-dog eyes. You can't exactly resist that look, slowly stepping back and forth to appease his request.

He pulls at your arms as he jumps up and down to the music, just about forcing you to move with more excitement, your embarrassment quickly subsiding as Joost dances in a manner similar to how you had been just moments prior.

"Joost Klein maar m'n stack die is groot!" Eventually, the two of you are singing, bouncing up and down in sync with each other and you can't believe you had ever been embarrassed in front of Joost in the first place. It had seemed so trivial now that the two of you danced together, after four years together you were sure you had seen each other in much more embarrassing situations, you knew better, that he would never pass any judgment on you, "De regering zoekt mij, maar ze vinden me nooit!" You practically yell to each other, oversized grins burned into both of your faces.

The song soon fades out, allowing for a song that wasn't Joost's to start playing.

"You've got some good music taste," Joost teases, the two of your movements dying down.

"Meh," You shrug, "Joost is kind of mid, I think Ski Aggu is better,"

Joost clicks his tongue, shaking his head in joking disapproval,

"You're lucky you're cute." A kiss is pressed against your forehead. The small gesture leaves you with butterflies in your stomach, despite the length of time the pair of you had been together, every touch from him seemed to feel like you were falling in love for the first time all over again.

"You get much cleaning done?" He pulls back

You look around the bedroom, the bed still unmade, clothes strewn upon your dresser, various items scattered around your desk. You feel yourself becoming stressed again at the task ahead of you.

"Not quite." You respond sheepishly, you sigh, "I should probably-"

"It can wait, relax, liefje," Joost cuts you off, "I think we should continue our little dance party."

"Easy for you to say when you've gotten everything you need to get done today,"

"Hmm," Joost puckers his lips, twisting his face into an expression that makes it obvious he's thinking, "How about..." He trails off for a moment, inching closer to you, "You stay here and dance with me, and I'll clean the whole apartment while you're at work tomorrow."

It's an easy proposition to accept, not having to clean? Fine by you.

"Deal?" He asks, smiling down at you.

"Deal," You quickly nod.

"Eh," he holds up a finger, "We need to seal the deal."

You raise your eyebrows up at him, waiting for what he's going to say next,

"You gotta give me a kiss to seal our deal,"

You giggle, standing up on your tip toes, placing both of your hands on Joost's shoulders as you reach up to press your lips to his.

He's quick to kiss you back, resting his hands on your waist as he engages you in a soft, passionate kiss.

"Okay," He nods, "Now it's a deal."

“fuck this shit” he mutters, getting up from the bed. rubbing his face furiously before stomping towards the other side of the room,

he walks in without knocking, ready to say what he needs to say again. yet he stops. heart clenching at the sight of his girl curled up in bed, back facing him.

“love?” he slowly walks over to her laying figure,

“go away” she speaks. now in a softer tone

“please” he begs, walking around the bed and catching a glimpse of her playing with her pink manicured hands. “sweetheart. I’m sorry” he repeats, going down to her eye level before letting his hand moves to rest on her bare thigh. he’s internally relieved when she doesn’t push him off,

he sighs when she’s not looking at him, seemingly only focused on the nails that she had gotten done a week ago.

“i should’ve pushed her off. shouldn’t let her touch me like that. hell, i shouldn’t even let her breathe near me. i know that” he realizes his mistake. “i didn’t even think about what my girl needed. i was being a horrible boyfriend”

no answer,

he sighs again, refusing to look away from her pretty eyes,

“toji! what the fuck are you doing-oh!” her voice gets cut off the moment he pulls her body up like she weighs nothing. throwing her over his shoulder. “put me down!” her fists start to hitting his back—as if they’re actually hurting him— legs swinging back and forth

“nope” he answers, keeping a firm grip around her waist before swatting her ass, locking the guest room behind him and walking back to their shared one. “you’re driving me crazy, woman—not saying that i hate it, but i’m pretty fucking beat tonight and we are going to sleep together. so stop fighting me”

she huffs, admitting defeat and letting him carry to the bed. “fuck you, toji”

metal from heaven fans i have character design sketches for most of the cast I would love if anyone has Thoughts Ideas or Suggestions (gay sketches as a reward if you read to the bottom)

i did..... not quite every on page character, but pretty much everyone who's there more than once and at least vaguely described (or like. I'd do gwyar if it wouldn't be a spoiler)

all the character descriptions I have recorded are here by the way !!

some of the characters are described a lot but most are like.....their face/hair but nothing about their clothes, or the other way around, so for a lot of them I just winged it - part of the reason I wanted to do so many characters roughly was so get a sense of the overall styles and vibes? august said they were thinking about john galliano for fashion so I took a lot of inspo from that and also a heavy dose of western vibes.....fashion is not my strong point though. truly just stuck it all in a blender and slapped it on.

and also for most of these it's sort of first-or-second-pass designs - basically just getting an initial feel rather than really solidly Designed. so likely to change. I could definitely push a lot of them further!!!

sisphe is described with having sunlight trapped in her hair and then also a dark curtain of hair and it's PROBABLY dark but I did imagine her blonde initially because of that. going with blonde hair as a kid that got darker to compromise...

her disguise outfit isn't really described other than gloves but I kinda matched it to marney disguise (below)

harlow took me so long to figure out getting her face like I imagined and also like how I described....I'm not sure still. i love her sm

amon is accidentally giving victor arcane. the character archetype + colour palette I guess. I specifically made it blue/black with pink highlights because of the tullian gender colours though..

tbh I still haven't figured out how their bandit hoods work. I think they pull over from the back of the head but I can't figure out how to draw that in a way that works so they're bandanas for now

basically all of the bottom row are only lightly described so I just went with the initial vague mental image I had tbh!

could I put more effort into giving them more cultural distinctions / make the areas they're from more visually distinct? yes probably. it's hard to get a sense of some of that when some of the places are within ignavia and some are like.. separate continents - and there's no map to sort it out in my head. (you may notice i wrote where they're from in blue by the names though)

So…. Glitz and Glam huh… y’know what that means my fellow artists and critics…

REDESIGN TIME!!!! + (A bit of critics/opinions on the characters and the og design :-] )

To start it out a lil’ positive, If I gotta be honest I actually kinda liked these two characters from the mid-season special, even though they were just the bitchy woman character your supposed to hate (as if we needed any more of those characters than we already got viv), they were still really fun as characters in my opinion!

I feel like bitchy esc kind of character very much works for these two coupled with them being very competitive towards fizz in the episode, I feel like those two things were like the bread and butter for these characters and if I wanna be honest… I kinda wanna see these two again but wouldn’t be surprised if that didn’t happened bc c’mon this helluva boss we’re talking about after all!

The only thing I would have to say negatively about these two is that they literally got crushed by a rock in the end, like I get it viv hates writing characters who are woman but COME ONNN, you had these two characters that seem really interesting and the only climax you could’a think for them in the ep was to crush them with a rock? That’s literally lame.

But other than that, I think overall these characters were alright! At least writing wise….

Now for the redesign + critic thing on the og designs

I decided to change her outfit bc although I loved the character’s personality, the outfit viv gave them not fit them at all. The jester esc outfit personally I think doesn’t really work for these two because 1. The jester theme Fizzarolli’s thing and 2. It doesn’t really work well with their personality, the song they sang in my opinion shows that.

So I thought I’d base their outfits off of the bratz outfits and also any outfits similar to that, to try to fit their characters more!

That and I’m just getting real sick and tired of the jester/clown theming that’s going on in hb because oh my god it feels so out of place, especially with the theme of greed ring being a trashy polluted city. And even if, EVEN IF viv wanted to give them clown esc themed outfits, I feel like it would’ve made more sense if she gave them outfit that were similar to mimes because technically those guys are like elegant clowns! While jesters aren’t even the same as clowns at all.

I also kept the green ish’ tones while also giving them a bit off red and purple colors to compliment the identical twin duo thing they have going on! Because like… do I even have to say why I did it? Their colors are literally just black and the same exact hues of green, it was literally hard to focus on them when watching the episode because of much they blended in with the background.

I also took inspiration from this fish when designing them because from as far as I can tell (and do correct if I’m wrong), they’re supposed to be fish demons??? So I tried to add more fish motifs for them!

I also made them half succubus from the horns looking similar to that and also because I thought it’d be fitting for them!

I also made their hair look like fish fins because oh my god their hair in the canon design was probably the worst part about their designs, not only did it have too many details that it was too distracting when I was trying to pay attention to the characters but also I just trying to figure out how the hair works in general, because it honestly their hair kinda looked like paper instead of fish fins or even actual hair.

But other than that uhh…

TLDR: I love these guys sm, they deserved much better and uhhh I love women /hj

X'm pretty sure Simon is the one who X draw the most, the silly yellow alien is iconic :] although X'm more inclined to draw his horror design more than anything cause X love it so much lol. As for writing, it may not seem like so but X actually put some thought into how Simon acts in general. Just this grown ass man who will never seem to grow up because friendship and fun's all he has. Black is absolutely a classic for mx cause he's supposedly the main character of pre-corruption arc SM, and hehe funny grumpy shadow shapeshifter <33 a little fact about him- he curses a lot cause everyone around him is too kiddie and happy and it drives him NUTS so to balance it out he swears like a sailor. X also am eager to reveal his lore soon but ya'll have to WAIT for it unfortunately cause it takes a long time to get there. Keep in mind the fact that he was a father. That'll return soon. But don't force it

Brud is someone who X felt needed some nuance so X gave him nuance. It's not explicit as of now and X won't go into details here but if you look closely you can see hints of what he's really like. X already had an idea for his backstory and X plan on doing an arc with him but X need to figure out what it entails

Ciqu's whole lore...it's something X really enjoyed coming up with. And by enjoyed X mean X kinda cried and tweaked about it banging mx head on the wall lol (/silly) some of mx most fleshed out OCs have existential shit involved in their arcs and X fw that so hard. Not to mention his Pinocchio complex. X love him (/p)

Saves' whole arc is something X'm REALLY hyped about and X enjoy seeing ya'll speculate his fate as well as the nature of "The Entity" (ya'll even gave it a name which is cute! it has a canon name but x'm not spoiling) trust mx guys when X say that X'm cooking with Saves rn. lloyd is my favourite so obvs he was the first one i made (you can tell by his unstuffed arms 💀). i was figuring things out with him but i am very attached to him. s4 is my favourite season and since lloyd is my fav ninja, i decided to give him the tournament of elements suit. what you'll notice is for a lot of these guys i just did random embroidery on their backs bc i couldnt be bothered to look for references of their backs.

ZANES HAIR WAS AWFUL!! i had to try so many different techniques before i settled on this one and i do think it ended up looking okay. i mean, it at least looks how it looks in the show so i guess thats a win.

he is definitely my least favourite of the dolls. I JUST COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET HIS HAIR RIGHT. i don't think i ever did get his hair right. i think it's about as close as i could possibly get without doing a much more complex hair style with pieces i'd have to crochet and then stitch together. i think he looks fine! i like his lil smirk.

i'm very proud of them all and they took me a very long time to make. i really wanna make an achilles doll so that's probs my next project. there's a few greek mythology figures i wanna make, but achilles is my #1 so always him first <3

Here are some very early design ideas I had for Wingdings:D I have some that were even BEFORE these but those are kind of ehhh, not interesting

I changed him A LOT, things that only I would notice but I think are very important and differentiate him from your typical Gaster design (He's more colorful for starters, not only black and white, and his hands are still perfectly fine), still, events will lead him to the same conclusion anyways. Poor guy's gonna have a self destructive arc and become less "Wingdings" and more "W.D. Gaster"

Oh this is SUCH a cool concept!!! Fresh is actually already planned to be a beast-tamer in this au (the 'parasite' is a different entity which absorbs ambient magic around it, mostly nature but often souls, so Fresh spends his time out in the woods usually, because he fused with the parasite and can't quite control it-) it's very convoluted haha- but I really do need to have him do a bit like this later in the story because it feels right up his alley!

If it piques ur interest, Epic is the one who's planned to be a Fortune Teller of sorts! He's not a main character, but he eventually is a friend of Cross and loosely joins the main cast!

Misty - She's still the leader of the Cerulean City Gym but she's slowly working up her way to becoming a Kanto Elite Four Member

Brock - Pokemon Doctor! Has been all over the place helping out at different Pokemon Centers over the years

Gary - He's a Pokemon Professor! Well known for all kinds of insane discoveries. He works under his Grandpa and eventually takes over the Lab. Still has a rivalry with Goh.

Tracey - He's Garys assistant now, make sthe lab very chaotic. Started taking art commissions on the side

May - Well known Top Coordinator who has won multiple Grand Festivals! But she still comepetes in contests and travels with the hoen coordinator gang

Max - Gymleader, he's taken over the Petalburg City gym! Dunno what his type though is, he can mix em if he wants to

Dawn - Also a well known Top Coordinator with multiple wins, and she still occasionally competes in contests. I like the idea of her getting into fashion and designing.

Paul - Either a Gym Leader or an Elite Four member, maybe even Sinnoh Champion, but definitely still battles

Iris - Contiunes to be Unovas champion, trying to snatch Ashs world champ title and learning about dragon types on the way

Koharu - Since she doesn't have a canon long term goal, her story line was moreso about figuring out what she wants to do, that kind of makes her a catch all character. I can see her do anything really she works with whatever. Ik she helps out her dad as a research fellow at the end of the series and I also like her getting more into contests but I don't really think she does either of those forever? I like the idea of her doing photography, it's artistic in the opposite direction of what her mom does
