Ok so i saw a post mentioning how Spindlehorse was hiring animators again, and i thought "huh yknow im really curious what the turnover rate of animators is in this studio" because i mean its a genuine question considering how i swear theyre hiring new animators every other week

So then i checked IMDB...

Before i go on i wanna put some context because its kinda needed for what im about to say:

On IMDB there's a section of the cast and crew page labeled "Series Animation Department". This is the section meant primarily for animators and storyboarders among other jobs in the same vein.

Now. Can you guess how many animators/storyboarders Helluva Boss has gone through in less than 2 seasons?

444.

That is four hundred and forty-four individual credits, a majority of whom didn't stay for any longer than a few episodes. I have never in my life seen an animator turnover rate this skewed.

But i saw this and i went "well it cant be that bad right, what about other shows?" because admittedly i didnt know a lot about animation so for all i knew this was normal. So i went to the IMDB pages of other animated shows

RWBY: 164 credited animators over 9 seasons

Murder Drones: 11 Animators over 7 episodes

The Owl House: 88 Animators over 3 seasons

Amphibia: 73 over 3 seasons

Steven Universe: 44 over 5 seasons

And just to be fair let's include Hazbin Hotel, which had 62 in 1 season

This means that for one reason or another Helluva Boss has gone through more animators in less than 2 seasons than shows that ran for SIGNIFICANTLY longer go through in their entire lifespan by several times and that astounds me

One thing that I hate about both shows. Is that to understand the worldbuilding and lore. You either have to read the wiki or watch hours of old live streams from years ago.

I'm like who has the time for that. I mean I know that hh/hb fans do who are very dedicated to the show. What about people who are just new to the series and weren't really in the early days of the fandom.

The worldbuilding and the lore should be in the show. It just feels like vivziepop didn't really think much about the worldbuilding or lore. First, she made the characters. The worldbuilding and the lore was an after thought. As well as inconsistent worldbuilding like like no one bats a eye at Beelzebub and Vortex relationship. Even though hellhounds are on the lower end hell's hierarchy. It's just a weird that no one calls them out or you know, gives them looks or something.

Ok, it turns out the information that was given to me regarding why Loona was speechless for a few episodes in Season 2 was a bit false, I mean, the colon cancer shit with Erica's boyfriend, Billy Kametz, did happened though, look it up.

Apparently, according to Erica Lindbeck, Loona's VA, in a deleted Twitter post confirmed that the reason Loona didn't spoke for a few episodes was mainly a deliberate choice made by the writers, as well as the rest of the team. This was said around the time the 'Queen Bee' episode was released in mid-2023.

So that's why Loona was speachless, not because they were trying to be cheap, just stupid writing decisions.

Wow, it really shows they don't know egat to do eith loona. Loona might be obnoxious at times but her character shouldn't be a waste of space.

Ok so this is why people hate the critical community (as a critic myself.) Shit like this. All I said is that I find the “stol-ass” nickname somewhat annoying. (I HATE Stolas btw.) Atp I’d recommend reporting them. They’re clearly a spam account.

Normally I’d respect the privacy of someone’s account, but this is just pathetic. Spam should not be tolerated. (By the way, not even joking, this person originally did this on their main account, and when I blocked them, they used another account to spam my comments with this shit.)

I swear, this newest episode of Helluva is just the perfect example of how Viviziepop can’t let men face consequences. Millie was right, they have a job to do. The guy cheated, but it’s ok because he’s gay and he’s a man! Because suddenly Blitz has a moral compass about who to kill. One thing I noticed in this shitshow of an episode is how fucking ungrateful Stolas was for everything Blitzø did for him since he came to his place.

Him being a spoiled rich white asshole:

Seeing that cigarette reminds me of when Stolas uh... *checks notes* called Blitz an 'itty bitty imp (racist)' despite him clearly hating it, grabbed his cheek and used his horn to put out his cigarette (not to mention Blitzø's severe trauma being related to fucking fire)

Okay so anyway, I think Stolas said "Oh, when have you ever asked" bc Blitzø stole from him and his family 25 years ago. correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't it manipulative af to bring up smth that happened that long ago, also it's totally unrelated to the current situation. I swear it's like a grown ass man saying to another "Oh I still hate you because, uhm, remember that one time in 3rd grade when you stole my pencil..."

So... if Stolas still holds this against Blitzø, let me ask: why was he ever "in love" with him in the first place? Answer? He wasn't. Stolas only used this imp for his sexual fantasies and for him to get to experience his "fairytale romance"

P.S. Imps are a race his privileged ass has always been racist towards and he hasn't ever attempted to, uh... try to understand them better? Understand how they live? I mean if you truly cared about your "boyfriend," Stolas, you'd have put in SOME effort to change your mindset/behavior and WOULDN'T HAVE EVER SEXUALLY COERCED HIM
