You ever do something that you think is going to be an easier alternative but it just ends up being a pain in the ass?

I spent an hour and half making three of these little yarn tufts for the fur on Rimuru's boots, but I estimate it'll take about 14 of these to cover the tops of both boots.

All because I wanted to save a little money on some faux fur trim

#'oh i didn't need to spend money on fur and dye it i have so much yarn i can use instead'#the problem is i didn't want to make traditional wefts and glue the top of the weft #not only because it takes a ton of space to keep them while they're drying but bc it would take all night to dry #and all day to glue. i have multiple unfinished dolls only missing hair bc i hate making wefts #so i wasn't about to make 100 glue wefts for human sized boots #so my solution was tie the yarn fringe to another piece of yarn directly and brush it on the yarn #but the yarn is bouncy and it's so hard to brush while tied to string and it was a huge pain in the ass #and i have to do that like 4 more times 😭#it's gonna look great tho

been wearing double braids a lot lately even to work. i still feel kinda dumb sometimes but i think they look nice. all the benefits of having your hair down (framing the face) without the cons (lack of volume, tangling). if anything it makes people do a double take and i feel good enough about myself i assume it's bc they look good. maybe in two years i'll be like what was i thinking. but whatever

#+ i think it's a modern problems (long thick hair) require modern solutions (hairstyle other than a single braid forever bc its boring)#(ponytails and buns hurt)

I just finished watching Spirited Away and. Wow, the point really is just “kindness begets kindness (and may save you, or just make your life a bit better),” isn’t it!

#like. Haru is kind to Chihiro twice and then Chihiro is kind to the soot sprites and gets the job and then Haru is kind to her again and #then she keeps being kind to everyone around her and it does lead to No-Face causing problems but then her kindness gets him to STOP causing #problems when it would’ve been so easy for her to say “kindness wasn’t the solution last time #so it probably won’t work this time’’ but she doesn’t! and she keeps on being kind and it saves Haru and granny Zeniba tells her what she #needs to know to save Haru and her friends weave her a hair tie that keeps her from getting stuck in the spirit world and! her parents start #out the movie ignoring her fears and worries and hurt but at the end they validate it even though she doesn’t need that validation anymore b #because of her character arc but it’s still good to know that her parents became slightly kinder as a result of the kindness Chihiro showed #everyone else! it’s so good!

the struggle of wanting to be hot and sexy but ur piercings are not healing well

#ok my skin doesn't heal well in general like i scar really easily and they're always raised #but DAMN these cartilage piercings r not happy #i got them done in korea in like july i got 2 on my left ear and 1 on my right #i've been sleeping on a neck pillow and cleaning with water #i'm gonna visit this tattoo/piercing shop near me and ask for any advice and pick up new saline solution #cryinf. they're really fucking cute but they're irritating #AND I CANT WEAR MY NICE OVER EAR HEADPHONES ANYMORE UNTIL THEYRE FULLY HEALED #😭😭😭😭😭😭😭#no more slayful audio quality.....#no more listening to luca's voice packs in 4KHD......#my fear is them telling me to take them out and let them heal over #(please i'm a star) audio #sol.txt #yk what. maybe the leave in hair treatment is irritating it #honesty that might be part of the problem 😭 i'm gonna stop using it..

yes i did fully feel like i was licherally dying at the supermarket BUT! i wore double denim and figured out how to stop my new trainers squeaking so who's the real winner here ✌️

#for real though. would be such a luxury to be able to buy groceries without having multiple medical problems on site (:#OH YEAH shoutout to my mum for driving me <3 no way was i gonna make it there on my own.#HOWEVER. solution to shoe inserts squeaking inside my trainers: put a little blutack on those bad boys.#only took me a few weeks to be able to face trying to sort that out and actually wear them for the first time and #the first idea i tried worked so! victory i guess!#could not face even thinking about if my hair looked normal so it is what it is :P gonna get it cut short at my next appt #can't be dealing with any level of variation or styling atm :P

Can't believe my parents have 8 kids together, the majority of whom have textured hair and they still haven't learnt how to look after it

#Demon Spawn #+Extra #water is not gonna fix all that but thats the only weapon in my mums arsenal #like yeah itll lay flat while wet until it dries and theres still no product in it #my dads solution is just to tell the boys to keep their hair short as if its not his damn genes that are the problem #only two of my siblings have straight hair one of my older younger brothers used to too but it got wavy after puberty #so 2 out of my dads 9 have wavy or curly hair most also have his thick hair and a few have coarse hair on top of that #my mum went to get my sisters hair cut and apparently the hair stylist said you need hair oil to style curls and i was like?? thats it??#what about the hold products? what about the fact that curls need hydrating? what about the fact your supposed to only style when wet?#yeah sure use oil to break the cast to add shine etc but not just oil thats not gonna do anything #anyway my middle brother is in his teen phase of growing out his hair but hes got thick coarse wavy hair so it just looks like #a fuzzy helmet without any products in it but all my mum suggests is coming and water and thats why i looked like hagrid at that age

#im not vagueing anyone specific so if u think this is abt you don't get your underwear twisted okay this is about like. so many ppl.#but it's so fucking frustrating seeing people i know (friends/family/coworkers/etc) going thru so much mental health struggle #often accompanied by physical health issues like weight/skin/pain problems #and knowing their diet is absolutely dogtrash #and trying to come up with a way to tell them that is nice but will maybe get them to think or change their ways #i know i know. you can lead a horse to water and all but it's just fucking agonizing knowing that people are suffering so needlessly #and it would go away if they just put the right food in their bodies #and no this isn't even an injunction to carnivore you can recover significantly with meat-heavy noncarnivore ketogenic diets #but people are so resistant to the idea that they can eat their way out of mental illness even though this is well documented #it just makes me want to rip my hair out that people would really rather stay the same than try something that could make them better #like i really can't fucking relate the whole reason i ended up a carnivore is because i was so *desperate* to be healthy #and trying something for a month just to see sounds so much better than letting everything get worse until i'm literally dying #but then i see so many sick people with garbage diets just completely resist the suggestion that the solution could possibly be so simple #like what more can i do for you? i dont want you to be sick. YOU dont want you to be sick. what do you lose from just trying??#ugh i cant. im so. i know this is going to be my career path but god fucking damn if it isn't infuriating
