You know when you give someone a hug and their hair smells so good that you hug a little tighter and want to hold on a little longer, inhale a little deeper, maybe try to get a little bit of their essence too so you can have the memory of that moment a bit longer or make it a bit richer? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Maybe you're not a perfume person but you're a scented hair person. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So here are hair perfumes… some by hair companies not perfume companies. These are some that I love and have in my collection. I use them when I want to refresh my hair but I don’t want to load it up with dry shampoo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I mean, there have been so many times I've used or liked a hair product solely because of how it smelled and wanted to have a hair perfume to match. But the art of creating the scents that smell exactly like the hair products is hit or miss. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Kevin Murphy Shimmer Shine. Golden shimmer in a bottle never looked prettier. Shine spray is light on the shimmer and heavy on the shine but my favourite thing about it is that it smells like expensive perfume - patchouli and vanilla seems to be why it smells amazing and I use it just for the scent. It lasts the whole day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you've ever used Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil and wished that it came as a perfume, (ok just me) now it's available as a hair and body fragrance. Notes are vanilla and coconut so this is kind of a beachy scent perfect for when it's cold. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Both Amika and Aveda have scents that smell exactly like their hair products so if you've enjoyed the sensory experience of using their products, they've got the scents to match. Day 66 of 365 Time to close out the @gisou series (for now). The last product I want to talk about is the Hair Perfume. I know a lot of companies make hair perfume and I like @kayali Hair Mist but I also absolutely love Gisou’s. It helps in refreshing, nourishing all the while making hair smell oh so good. I don’t wash my hair daily but do work out daily so this is perfect for refreshing the hair in between washes. It smells floral sweet and fresh. Sometimes I add it as a finishing touch after washing my hair. I would definitely purchase it again. The best-smelling hair products: @christopherobinparis edition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've been meaning to write about these for a while, because life is short and you deserve to have hair that smells good. Also, I've gotten more compliments on how my hair smells than on my perfume, so I think nicely scented hair products are worth it. I can't promise the scent will last, but you will have an excellent sensory experience. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today, I'm just posting about Christophe Robin because I realized that I have quite a few products from this brand and they all smell excellent. Beautiful scents are really part of the French aesthetic and this brand does not skimp on the quality or quantity of their fragrance. They're actually known for their salt scrubs... yes, it's a salt scrub for your hair... a tiny bit foams and clarifies and I highly recommend having it on hand for the times that you really want to get everything out of your hair. They became so popular that the brand came out with a limited edition La Bretagne scent last year, which is more citrusy. I've also pictured the Cleansing Volumizing Paste which has salt and clay but gives a similar effect. This one smells like rose water. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you like the scent of rose water, then you need to try the Volume Conditioner or even the Cleansing Conditioner, but without a doubt, my favourite scent is for the Aloe Melting Mask which smells like the finest fougere fragrance - it's basically Penhaligon's Sartorial in a bottle and I can vouch for the scent of the conditoner lasting in your hair for a long time, at least throughout the day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Have you tried anything from this brand?
