When you woke up, you have bandages all around your torso and were in someone's room to which you recognise as Han Yoojin's room. 'Wait why am I in his room..?' You questioned. The door to your left suddenly opened and low and behold, who would've guessed it's the main character itself.

"Oh you're awake! I'm glad!" Han Yoojin exclaimed happily. You sat up from your laying position quickly, forgetting you were not supposed to show any strength. He flinched and quickly walk towards you to stop you from sitting up, "Ahh don't sit up so quickly! You're still hurt..!"

You winced at his caring nature but quickly faked a sweet smile at him. "It's fine, it doesn't hurt that much!" What a liar you are but this is light compare to the last story. Han Yoojin frown at your dismissal and you quickly changed the subject, "Where is the girl from before?"

"Ah- she's at training room right now. I'm about to check up on her!" He said. "Hyung, are you ready?" Someone called from out of the room and you immediately know who it is. The calling out 'hyung' is obvious as well. The person then entered the room and- 'He looks as majestic as Yoo Joonghyuk, that's not fair!' It's Han Yoohyun, Han Yoojin's famous little brother, "What are you doing?" You could feel his intimidating gaze directed towards you.

"Ah, I'm just checking on [name]..." It seems that he can also feel the pressure of the gaze from his younger brother. "I see." That reply from Han Yoohyun makes you shiver but you should used to it by now by how much characters you have met with the same gaze. You decided to break the awkward silence and one-sided staring contest with the man, "Take me with you. I'm going to visit the girl as well.." Han Yoojin's eyes widened a bit in concern and surprise, "I think it's better that you should stay in bed—" You cut him off with a chuckle, "Don't underestimate me so much.. I'm not that weak."

Safe to say that you managed to convince him in the end and now you're in the elevator with the two brothers, with Han Yoojin in the middle - separating you and his brother. You glance at Han Yoohyun while he conversed with Han Yoojin, 'Why are you wearing something so extra...' You and Han Yoojin are wearing normal comfortable yet presentable clothes while Han Yoohyun wears a whole fancy outfit, looking like he's going to a meeting. Suddenly and unfortunately, the latter made eye contact with you, making you flinch and avert your gaze instantly. 'Geez I hate you!' You mentally screamed at Han Yoohyun. Once you three arrived at the training room floor, it's all... been absolutely wrecked out with ice everywhere. "...What was that about withstanding S-rank attacks?" You snickered at Han Yoojin's comment, hiding it behind your hand.

The three of you look at the damaged done before you then saw Bak Yerim in a blue hoodie and doing a flip in the air. Landing on the ground crouching, then standing up to attack the poor punching bag with some more ice coming out of her fist. You can see her mouth moving but you can't hear what she said. She then slammed her foot on the ground as shadows starts to stretch and form far and wide, grabbing at everything it can reach. She activated her skill and the grips of the shadows tightened to which Han Yoojin freaked out at, while you just... stepped to the side a bit.

Then, she once again stomped her foot on the floor but this time, it cracked under the pressure like the rest of the surrounding. She runs forward, each step create more and more damage until she stop to punch the floor and ruin it while saying 'Bazinga." near you three. It was within hearing range so you cringed a bit at that, 'I know you were going to say that but I was hoping you wouldn't.'

You hold back a laugh seeing the state Han Yoojin is in, looking like he's about to die shriveled up. You crouch down beside him to poke at his cheek while Han Yoohyun yelling at his brother seem to caught the busy girl's attention. Bak Yerim flinched in shock at him as Han Yoojin complimented the girl faintly and Han Yoohyun is acting like his brother is about to die while you're still poking at his cheek. When Bak Yerim took off her hood and asked if Han Yoojin was okay, the latter is surprise to see her new haircut. Sparkles surround you when you saw how pretty she looks, not minding the fact that Han Yoojin almost seemed to panic at her new change. They exchanged a more words to each other, as you stand there with a small smile.

The girl glance to Han Yoojin's side and saw you to which she beamed more brightly. "It's you!" She grabbed your hands enthusiastically, "I'm so glad to see you awake- Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't introduce myself! I'm Back Yerim!" cutting herself off to introduce herself with a boyish grin. "Are you feeling okay? You're not feeling any pain right? What's your name?" She bombarded you with questions and you try your best to catch up, chuckling at her antics, "I'm [Name], it's nice to see you again, Bak Yerim. I'm okay, don't worry!" Unknowingly leaving the two brothers in the dark watching you two interact. "Um...?" Han Yoojin tries to politely interrupt the interaction. "Oh right! My registration!" She lets go of your hand, to which you sigh in relief quietly as to not offend her. The two of them continue to converse amongst themselves.

"I thought you like physical touch?" The system asked. You shook your head 'non' lightly, "It's confusing. Don't worry too much about it," you whispered. You feel Han Yoojin bump into you and you stepped back as well, grabbing his waist on instinct. "Ah! Sorry [Name]!" His face flushed when you grabbed his waist but he dismiss it and just apologise instead. "No no I'm sorry for grabbing onto you like that," You let go of your hands with a smile even if you feel like you just commit a crime on the inside. While you and Han Yoojin have a pleasant conversation of dismissing each other's apologies just to apologise again, the other pair kept on arguing.

"Host, you are going to be convincing the protagonist on staying later to make dinner and, or clean as disguise. We will be discussing an unfortunate change in our mission." The system interrupted your moment with a serious tone. Your face twitched, knowing what's going to incurred again...

Han Yoojin pulled you in a hug, relief washing over him for a brief moment until he was pushed away harshly.

“Who are you?!” 

“Woof! Woof!” Your dog, a Maltese, growls at him fiercely, trying to protect his owner. 

Seeing your shocked and cold expression, one that screamed “touch me and I will call the police”, Han Yoojin struggled to come up with words. 

You don’t remember. 

“Stop Bong!” You called out, trying your best to calm your dog by slowly stepping back away. Once Bong was a little more tame, you looked at Han Yoojin with a suspicious look. 

“I don’t know you.” 

With a bitter smile, Yoojin swallows, before bowing and apologizing. 

“Sorry, wrong person. The person I am looking for has the same name and looks similar to you.” Your hostile expression fades away to one of understanding and even empathy.

“Oh, that’s okay. My name is pretty common in Korea.” You smile awkwardly before dusting off your shirt. 

“You seem very desperate to find this person, so I hope you find her soon.”

With a weak smile, Yoojin nods and waves goodbye. Watching you leave and hop onto a bus. His eyes follow you until you completely leave his sight. 

“Hyung! There you are. What are you doing?”

For a moment, time seems to stop as if giving Yoojin time to make a decision.

“Ah, you’re the man from before! So sorry about that. It seems like Bong remembered you.” You were embarrassed as you picked up Bong in your arms.

“It’s okay, actually, are you a hunter by chance?” You stood confused, but nodded. 

“I am…but I am only a D-class healer-” 

“That’s perfect, we were looking for one, and you look like you have potential. Right Yoohyun?” Yoojin quickly elbowed his younger brother, hoping that he would get the cue, and Yoohyun smartly responded with a nod. 

“Are you sure? I don’t think my skills are that valuable.” Surprised and embarrassed, you fidgetted a bit and stroked Bong’s head. 

“Don’t worry, I see potential when I see one.” With a hand extended for a hand shake, he smiled gently, just like how you reached out to him. 

“I believe you can be better than you are now.”

This time, his skills can help you become someone more than a D-class hunter, but a S-class Saintess. 

Because that’s who you are.

It was hard to get you to trust him. 

It was even harder, managing the suspicious looks from Yoohyun and his S-class children, and ensuring you are safe from his potential enemies.

But it was all worth it, when you learn, grow and gain confidence in your skills. 

With how close the two of you have gotten, both of you celebrated in a restaurant with beer after seeing a breakthrough in your healing skills.

Yoojin said out of nowhere, and while he said it to activate his skill, it was also with a genuine heart. 

“(Y/N), I love you.” He felt emotional, finally saying the words he buried deep in his heart that he wasn’t able to say easily back then. 

You, who was tipsy and giddy, could only grin stupidly and joke at his comment.

I just wanted to say there are some changes in this story and it doesn't follow the plot line completely because well i needed it to be like that i hope you understand.

The second time he met her was in a dungeon. Being the weakest Yoojin was mistreated a lot, here it wasn't any different either. He was being pushed around beaten up and degraded. That's when he heard the voice, the angelic voice

He looked up to see her, Y/N L/N a D rank healer, the same person from the cafe, who was busy healing the injured. she was quite famous for her kindness and brutalness. She was running towards them with hardened gaze and a frown on her face

He Found Her

"Its nothing, we were just having fun. Right... Yoojin?" some d rank hunter said looking at Yoojin

After defeating the Dungeon boss Yoojin getting 'kidnapped' by Riette and while defeating the 'puppet dragon' Vicus Y/N had gotten hurt but not too much, while she was healing all of them Yoojin was using his skill on Vicus and lost conciousness. Y/N lost conciousness with him meeting the Actual Dragon. You suffered with him all the torture just because you couldn't leave him alone.....

After that incident Yoojin had decided it is no longer safe for you to go in dungeons any more but you won't listen, so there is only one way to top you

Part 2 of the Heartstrings series since it seemed like it was fitting. Made this by listening to Past Lives by sapientdream. 

This came out longer than I expected it too, with a lot more emotional feels. I hope this still satisfies your request!

Han Yoojin still has nightmares and visions of the past. 

He dreams of his incompetence and his sorrows, his uselessness and ignorance. 

Every time he sees you, now the S-Class Saintess in the spotlight, there’s something that gnaws at him, telling him to stay away because he was the danger in your first life.

His inferiority was dangerous, as it influenced his attitude and behaviour, but then he met you. 

His healing was slow and gradual, and perhaps now he realized that his brother cared too. After all, you who reported his healing journey to Yoohyun, and Yoohyun, protected both of you in the shadows. 

(His inferiority complex used to curse him, made him jealous seeing your friendly interactions with Yoohyun)

Truly, he used to be such a pathetic man.

In his past life, Han Yoojin would never imagine he would get to marry you. 

His marriage ceremony was small, simple, but warm. While on his side was only him, his brother, and some colleagues, your family was much more full and welcoming. 

To him, you and your family were angels. Supportive, kind, and took him and Yoohyun in like a family. 

Although Yoojin grew up without his parents and took care of Yoohyun alone, he always wanted a family. So he was nervous meeting your parents for the first time. 

But who knew? Who knew parents could be so loving, caring, and protective? Of course, your father and brother gave him “the talk”, and made themselves clear that he needed to protect you and respect you. 

(You made sure Yoojin wasn’t bullied for too long)

Yoojin was constantly reminded of love, and he could see that love change his brother too. 

Despite the fact that he was a F-class hunter, or Yoohyun a S-class hunter, they treated them like sons of the family. 

He could see that you grew up with love, and also share that love with him. 

Of course, Yoojin reciprocated their love and care just like Yoohyun did; he didn’t want to disappoint your family.

But, nothing ever goes smoothly doesn’t it?

One day, monsters appeared near your parents home, and when Yoojin and Yoohyun rushed there, they saw your Father, a normal civilian, protecting his wife and son with all his might. 

Yoojin never had more respect for a man, a father, before. 

With such a proud, relieved smile, your father spits out blood and falls to his knees.

“Take care of my family.”

Only when he saw them, he finally fell with a peaceful smile. 

Those were his last words.

Losing your Father was devastating.

It took weeks for your family to grieve. Yoojin remembers standing beside Yoohyun, and watching you, your mother and your brother pray, cry, and grieve. 

That was when you decided to work more to help support the family, even though the job of a hunter is dangerous.

No matter what your family says, you stubbornly chose to earn money so they can live comfortably.

Even if he was useless, Yoojin always tried to go with you into every dungeon, so he can protect you. After all, he made an oath.

“Father.” Yoojin remembered kneeling before your Father’s photo and kowtow. 

“I will protect (Y/N), and your family. I swear on my name.” 

Yoohyun too, kneeled and swore. 

For the first time in a long time, Yoojin saw such a raw emotion in his younger brother’s eyes. 

Yet, neither of them could fulfill that promise. 

“What do you mean?” Yoojin grabbed the collar of his brother’s jacket.

“Say that again!” 

“It’s my fault that my sister-in-law died.” Yoohyun looked guilty and bitter, which made Yoojin feel even worse. 

“W-What-” 

“It’s because Haeyeon Guild has enemies, and they targeted sister-in-law. They led her into that B-Class dungeon.” Yoojin felt his hands shake as he let go due to shock, his vision blurs, and he tried hard to not let those tears fall. 

“They’re dead now.” Yoohyun says robotically, but the emptiness in his eyes didn’t clear up.

For a moment, the two brothers stood them silently, both gripping at the sad reality. 

“It doesn’t matter anymore. She’s gone.” 

Pathetic. Yoojin couldn’t hold back his tears, just like how he couldn’t protect you. 

Again, a beat of silence.

“Hyung.” As if the reality couldn’t be worse, Yoohyun pulled out a file and handed it to him. 

“I got this from our investigation.” 

Dully, he reached out to read it even though his heart had sunk. 

It was a hospital checkup letter, and when he read it, Yoojin felt dizzy, nauseous as if he was gonna throw up. He remembered that you went out to get a checkup because you weren’t feeling well. 

As if everything was coming to him at once, his legs finally gave out under pressure. 

He just wanted to be with you, but why? Why did you leave him? Just like his parents did? 

“Hyung. Hyung!” Yoohyun managed to catch him before he fainted. 

You were two months pregnant with a child.

His child. Their child. 

Their child that he could never see.

“Yoojin!” Yoojin was used to these nightmares, whenever he woke up, he was out of breath, terrified and self-loathing. 

But this time, you were there. 

Why were you there? It was his room? 

“(Y/N)?” Breathless, he reached out to you, and gently grazed your cheeks. Tears rolled down his cheeks when he thought of your memorial and funeral. 

He wanted to hold you, kiss you, and cuddle you in his arms. 

But he held himself back, he was afraid of repeating the past. 

“I love you.” It was such a tiny whisper, he wondered if you even heard it, and if you did, what would happen? 

Never in a thousand years, would he hear these words from you. 

“I love you too.” 

What? Do you remember?

In that instant, it was as if the dam broke. Yoojin remembered the unbearable grief, the sleepless nights, and the desperate wish for a second chance.

Do you remember? The love they had shared, the life they had built, and the cruel twist of fate that had torn them apart?

Without a word, you pulled him into your arms, holding him tightly against your chest. The warmth of your body, the steady rhythm of your heartbeat, was a lifeline that grounded him in the present. His arms wrapped around you, one hand tangling in your hair, the other pressing you closer as if he could meld their souls back into one.

“Bong told me. I dreamed of our past lives.” You whisper in between your tiny sobs. 

It felt so foreign, yet so familiar when you two cling on each other, with tears soaking your clothes.

"I'm so sorry," Yoojin choked out finally, his voice breaking with the intensity of his emotions. "I couldn't save you...I couldn't..."

You shook her head, pulling back just enough to look into his eyes. "It wasn't your fault," you whispered, her voice hoarse with tears. 

"We were victims. But we're here now, together. We have another chance, and we’re stronger now."

Yoojin cupped your face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away tears. 

(Yours or his? Does it even matter now?)

"I promise you," he said, his voice steady despite the tears streaming down his face, "I will protect you. I won't let anything take you away from me again."

You nodded, a small, sad smile tugging at her lips. 

"And I will always stand by your side, no matter what."

They stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, holding each other as they cried, their tears mingling together. The pain of their past life was still there, a haunting reminder of what they had lost, but in each other's arms, it felt that nothing else mattered. 

In his 2nd life, Han Yoojin would never imagine he would get to marry you (again).

His marriage ceremony was small, simple, but warm. While on his side was his brother and S-class hunters who have become a part of his life, your family was full of laughter and warmth.

A stark contrast, but still welcoming as he watches you walk towards him with your father. 

You were beautiful. 

In past lives or in this one, you are an angel. 

“I trust that you will protect my daughter.”

With a bow, Yoojin swore an oath to your father. 

“Yes, I swear, I will make your daughter happy.” 

Your father gave an approving nod, before handing you off to him. For a moment, he felt tears well up seeing him alive and well, and so trusting of him, but he held back. 

He won’t be a pathetic man any more. 

“I promise to stand by your side, in every life, through every challenge. I love you, Yoojin, now and forever.” Hearing your vow, his heart stirs as you share understanding looks. 

Yoojin’s voice wavered as he responded, “I promise to protect you, to cherish every moment we have. I love you more than words can say. In this life and the next, I’m yours.”

When the officiant pronounced you husband and wife, it felt like the world had stopped, and it was just the two of you in the center of the world. Yoojin’s hands trembled slightly as he held yours, but his grip was firm, determined.

“You may kiss the bride,” the officiant announced, and Yoojin leaned in, his lips meeting yours in a kiss that was both tender and passionate. It was a kiss that spoke of promises kept and everything he’s been fighting for all his life.

You. If it’s you, it’s worth it. 

Applause erupted around you, the cheers of friends and family blending into a harmonious symphony of love and support. 

Yoohyun, standing close by, allowed a rare smile to grace his lips, his eyes reflecting a mixture of relief and happiness. 

In his arms was Bong, your little dog who has snuggled close to him and yips happily at the sight. 

Finally, Bong doesn’t have to be the only one that remembers.
