Benefits of Hand Crafted Soy Wax Nature Scent Candles
One of the most possible natural waxes can be derived from a bean known as soya. It is a naturally available soya bean plant from which the wax can be derived. The wax itself can be extracted from further processing the soya-bean oil. Soy wax has many advantages over a paraffin wax. It is
1. Environmental friendly
2. Renewable resource
3. Less “Soot” disposed after burning
4. Strong and lasting scent
5. Burns slower than a normal paraffin wax
The process of making natural soy wax may be a bit longer than paraffin wax, but these advantages prove to be overpowering the fact of it. The process of extraction of a soy wax is natural as compared to a paraffin wax as it is made from petroleum and is non-renewable. According to many studies using a fragrance scented candle made out of soy wax calms your mind and nerves with its therapeutic properties. Not only that, most of the candles made out of paraffin emit black smoke or soot while burning, hand poured soy candles burn clean and result in lower soot.
Nature scent candle made out of soy wax are vividly fragrant and lasts for a much longer period. FIT-WIX has a range of home fragrance scented candle and is known for its unique hand poured soy candle. The company focuses on lifestyle brand with big dreams and simple philosophy. Candles are made from different wax sources. Some carry scents better, some are friendlier to the environment, and some are downright dangerous. Soy candles benefits are plentiful - and they're the healthier option for candle lovers.

DIY Egg Candle Molds For New Beginnings
Tumblr media
I've been working on my candlemaking skills for a while now with mitigating success but these are the easiest candles I have ever made.
I really like these for all kinds of spring spell work. They would work perfectly for a Spring Solstice or May Day spell but I also see them as a perfect vessel for a spell to invoke new beginnings. I personally associate eggs with pure potentiality.
Here the goal is to create an egg candle with the "Seed" of your intention, then incubate your intention, and finally burn your candle to hatch your magic into the real world.
Note: This is not a magical how-to on how to CAST a spell, this is a how-to on how to make a vessel for your spell. I expect you to bring your own magic and traditions to this.
For this project you will need:
One egg (probably chicken but goose or duck works too)
A pokey tool
Candle Wax*
A wax-safe container for melting
A wick
Something to stabilize your eggshell (egg cartons work fine)
Scents, wax color, powdered botanicals (optional)
I'm assuming here that if you're interested in this project, you have some experience with candlemaking and the right tools to do so. If not, you can buy a basic candlemaking kit nearly anywhere on the internet that includes some wax, a wax boiler, and wicks. *I would suggest using beeswax for this candle as it will help the candle to maintain its shape as it burns. Soy wax has a low burn point and tends to melt which will deform the shape of your candle more quickly
1. Clean out your Egg
You need to make a small hole at the top of your egg with a pokey tool. I used a knife to make the hole and then inserted a chopstick to whip the insides so the yoke would come out. Pour out the egg (and eat it! Yumm!) and then wash it until the water running out of the egg runs clear. From this step, you want the inside of the egg to dry out - you can put it into a 200°f oven for two hours or let it sit out until it dries (it may take a couple of days depending on your humidity levels).
Letting your egg dry out isn't strictly necessary but if you don't take this step, the egg membrane will stick to your candle. This will make more work for you when you remove the egg mold later.
Note: My friend gave me two goose eggs to try, so I used them for this test run of egg-shaped candles. If you use chicken eggs, they will be significantly smaller (3/4 the size probably).
Tumblr media
2. Heat wax in a double boiler until it is fully melted.
You can add in anything that supports your intention here: scents, coloring, or powdered herbs/flowers work well. (please practice good fire safety here and only add in things that are safe for candlemaking)
Note: if you are adding botanicals to your wax, you want to be very careful to make sure they are fully powdered or they may cause a fire.
3. Pour Your Wax
Place your eggshell mold in an egg carton for stabilization and carefully pour the hot wax into your mold. You want to fill to the top as much as you can - the wax may settle as it starts to cool so you may want to add more.
Note: the hole in your egg should be wide enough to accommodate pouring your wax. I used an extra flask funnel I had on hand to facilitate this process.
4. Add Your Wick
Let your wax cool slightly (approximately 10 minutes) and then add in your wick. With a chicken egg, you can use a birthday candle for this step or any wick that you have on hand. You can use a wick stabilizer or chopsticks to keep your wick in place while your wax hardens.
5. Cure Your Candle
Candles should cure for 7-10 days (for beeswax, this may differ for other types - do your research!) before you burn them. Though there is some debate on the internet, it is generally considered true that curing is a part of candle safety as a young candle that has not properly hardened can burn unevenly which may cause fires.
You can choose to begin the process of changing/incubating your candle (listed below) during the curing stage.
6. Remove Your Shell
Once your candle is done curing, it is time to remove the eggshell. For chicken eggs purchased from the grocery store, this should be a relatively easy process. Simply roll your egg candle on a hard surface until the shell cracks and then carefully peal the eggshell away from the wax.
If you are using non-chicken egg or a farm-fresh egg, the shell may be more difficult to crack. I used a goose egg for my candle so I had to use a tool to remove the shell - I used a dental pick that my partner uses for clay sculpting.
Take your time with this process, if you use tools, it is easy to scratch the surface of your egg.
7. Incubate/Charge Your Egg Candle
Unless you added magic during the wax step in this process (which is totally valid), this is where the major magic begins. You want to imbue your magic into the egg at this stage - this can be done in any way that suits your level of creativity and your personal practice. You can carve your intention directly into the wax or mark it with bindrunes or sigils. You can charge it with energy. You can dedicate it to a particular deity or spirit that you work closely with or set it on your altar. You can charge it in the sunlight or moonlight (beware of low-temperature wax and high heat from the sun here). You can make it a nest full of objects that represent your intentions.
Tumblr media
The goal in this step is to build your intention by returning to your egg over a period of time (or, alternatively, letting it sit in a way that charges it) before you burn it to release this intention. You can use numerology here by choosing a number that aligns with your intentions, or begin your incubation on the new moon and burn your candle on the full moon.
Pro-tip here: Chicken eggs need to incubate for around 21 days so this is a good number to use if your mold was a chicken egg, or you otherwise work with chickens in your craft.
Note: This was a test on the applicability of this method, but I couldn't help but enchant my candle. I carved my intentions into my candle and then glued (with wax) dried violets onto my candle because I use violets in my craft to encourage transformation. I also used other methods to create a vessel for magic.
8. Use Your Charged Egg Candle in a Magic Ritual
The majority of work is already done here, the rest, as they say, is up to you. Because egg shells are round, you will need to find some way to stabilize the bottom of your candle while you burn it. You could choose to level the bottom of the candle or use any other method that works for you.
I happened to have a piece of pottery from a friend that made the perfect stand for an egg-shaped candle.

caretaker/dad jonathan crane hcs 𓅨₊˚⊹
ⓘ i do not consent to k!nk interaction! any nsfw account that likes, reblogs, or in any way interacts with this post or my blog will be blocked and reported.
under the cut !
okay to preface, batman begins is set in the mid-2000s therefore these hcs are set in the mid-2000s
whether or not that's important is irrelevant it's for the vibes. its 2005 ok
needless to say Jonathan Crane is on the less outwardly affectionate side,
sterile is a bad word. vapid is a worse one
he definitely tries to ease up around you, initially giving the usual one-off remarks and eyerolls whenever anything went slightly array——
once he realized that was probably not the nicest thing in the world, he tended to keep his tone less flat. sort of.
definitely a learning experience, after awhile you both have to realize that despite him looking like he's trying to set you on fire with his mind, he is genuinely being nice most of the time. or at least neutral.
he takes a big priority in ensuring you're doing well though, while his attachment doesn't show through words or facial expressions he tries to come up through gifts and small acts.
whether it be making you every meal or washing your clothes or doing your hair, his presence is almost always joined by careful hands and a quiet voice,
he did have to teach himself to keep things you actually liked in his office though—
Jonathan learned quickly that sugar free gum and altoids are not an appropriate snack for a kid cooped up in the psychiatric asylum he's busy working at.
he's not clueless with kids though, in all fairness he read about fifty different blog posts. he also got marketed a multitude of sippy cups and blankets and maybe a piece of furniture but that's unrelated
he can come off as a little crass as previously mentioned, he'll word things carefully and speak gently but if he says bedtime at 8pm he means bedtime at 8pm and no later.
maybe a little later if you ask him to make you hot chocolate but 8:30 at the latest.
maybe 8:45
his parenting methods are on the strange and unusual side, given that he himself is on the strange and unusual side—
having nightmares? don't worry, Dr. Crane will make vague threats at the imaginary monsters and claim he can create things five times worse. sleep tight ??
breakfast!! this pancake is shaped like. a rorschach test
don't ask him about work he will keep that as far away as possible from you,
the extent of the last question he got was 'I work with sick people.' and then he continued drinking whatever mixture of too-much-espresso and soy milk was in his mug.
it's not that he doesn't trust you, per say, but he doesn't want you meddling with things that will more than likely harm you.
definitely huge on alot. alot of self care stuff .
have you seen his face there's no way he's not pouring at least a quarter of his paycheck into skincare
this extends to you of course, extremely overly fancy bathtimes with matcha bubble bath and overpriced baby lotion,
candles that are up high enough to not!!! be a fire hazard. little lavender sprays for your pillow,
he'll even do those vaguely scary looking animal themed sheet face masks with you
he's not a sad beige mom. leave him alone he's just pretentious
his favorite activities with you involve staying indoors,
usually crumpled under a pile of blankets with store bought cookies and whatever movie you picked out to watch,
blu ray. obviously. do you take him for someone who does not own a blu ray player (he didn't until last week)
he likes things that are intellectually stimulating for you as well, whether that be numbered blocks or simple puzzles,
he's always around to tell you that you did a good job, or to help if you're stuck on something,
very involved overall -- he doesn't do great with playing pretend but he'll wear colorful band-aids and sit on the floor if you want to play doctor,
Jonathan's life before was somewhat methodical outside of his other ....... escapades
you're a welcome addition and if anything he enjoys having someone to look after.

I'm a great fuck but better lover
Sanji poured the water until it was the first line in his finger before popping the lid on. The rice would be done in around half an hour. Just enough time for him to have a shower, he peeked outside to see if Zoro and Nami were done. Logical Sanji knew it was important for Nami to know how to fight, to defend herself. He knew she was fully capable of doing so, and a better weapon would only help her. But he couldn't bring himself to watch her fight his boyfriend, he knew how they fought each other was completely different and she wasn't going to be hurt. So he chose to forget and ignore that it was happening so as to not interfere.
Sanji slid back inside the kitchen, hair still damp from the water. He checked the rice and got to work on the final step. The east blue seabass Usopp had caught this morning. Sanji had saved some of it for this reason.
Sanji patted the fish dry before sprinkling salt over it. He placed each fish steak in a bowl to be steamed. He laid sliced scallions and ginger before placing the bowls in a bath of water and popped the lid on to be steamed. He set the table humming under his breath as he did so.
Just as he was serving up the food, Zoro showed up, hair damp and wereing his green button up, his three swords attached to his hip. He held something behind his back as he shuffled inside.
“Smells good in here,” Zoro sniffed the air.
“Hmm I know, so what's behind your back?” He asked, watching as Zoro blushed before revealing what he was hiding.
“I made you something, and I borrowed a candle from Usopp,” Zoro held out a partly used candle and a blue paper shaped like a flower.
“Oh Zoro, did you make this for me?” Sanji asked carefully, taking the paper from Zoro's hand. Upon closer inspection, the paper had waves on it. “Thank you, I love it,” Sanji kissed his boyfriend.
“Your welcome Sanji,”
Sanji hurried to the stove to finish serving dinner. He added the chopped sclions and clintro to the top of the fish before adding soy sauce and hot oil. He carried the final dish to the table.
“Dig in!” Sanji took a seat and watched as Zoro tried the food.
“It's good,” Zoro's cheeks were full as he filled them with his food. Sanji wanted to poke his cheeks. He just looked so happy and cute, like a chipmunk. He paused chopsticks poised over the izakaya and looked at him, eyebrow raised. “Umm aren't you gonna eat?”
“Hmm? Oh yes, I was distracted earlier,” Sanji took a bite of the fish and rice. This was a successful recipe he was pleased with how it turned out.
“With what?”
“Looking at you, with your cheeks so full, you look just like a chipmunk. Who knew you could be so cute,”
“Shut up! I am not cute!” Zoro's face flushed red as he shoveled more food in his mouth.
“You are very cute, handsome, quite rugged, and honestly a little messy. I appreciate the effort you've taken in showering more, but I hope you know I don't want you to change. Like I said on our first date about you wearing this shirt,” Sanji enjoyed Zoro as he was. He wouldn't say no to him, looking nice for dates, though. “Make sure and save room for dessert, I made mango sticky rice,” Sanji got up to serve the dessert that was chilling in the fridge waiting to be served. He took the rest of the dishes with him as he went. Sanji added the sliced mango and placed the dessert in front of Zoro. He watched as his boyfriend ate a spoonful of rice and some mango both coated in the glaze.
“Mmm, it's good. Not too sweet,” Zoro hummed his approval, taking another much larger bite this time.
