ok still haven't fixed the odd blue stitches on the cloud, yellow duplicate stitches, inner coronas, added blue on rays anything mentioned on the previous post but i tried it on today and?????????????? it looks fucking amazing as it is even if I say so myself. i'm happy.

Still going to fix stuff, but i trust the process more now. Even the neckline doesn't seem excessively enormous.

got a bunch of yarn for Christmas, and have already started knitting my first sweater ever!!!!

today's handknit sweater acknowledges the peace and beauty in the greys.

I love the way the rain is sweeping through so quickly that it has aural directionality across the neighborhood roofs.

yesterday's spin is one of two koi pond colorways I picked up recently from that Napa Valley Fiber sale. this one is polwarth and it is, as usual for polwarth, a butyraceous dream. I swapped the whorl on the wheel for the fatty, and have changed nothing else about my default spin other than it's now a 5:1 rather than 14:1 or 18:1 ☺️

It’s a dang chilly day out so I thought I’d wear/model my finished #icebreakersweater (my second ever completed #handknitsweater project for those keeping track) but I learned that my arms are too short (surprise) to get a good selfie — but you get the picture!

I wish I’d made it about 4-5” longer than the pattern called for, and I could have gone 2-3 sizes smaller, but post-soaking the yarn’s soft and lofty and I wore it outside to fill the bird feeders without putting a coat over it and was still toasty warm. Yay!

Since y’all love my last big sleeve creation; how about this bad boy I finished last year and never posted???

(Pattern is Love Magick by Disco Stitch; yarn is Lion Brand Superwash Merino which was Hellish to use and I highly would not recommend!!! Why were there so many knots!!!! Like, 5-9 knots per ball. Fucked up.)

Pinning (blocking pun, get it?) all my hopes that a good loooong soak will help me weed out all the remaining twiggy bits that are far too prevalent in this otherwise nice yarn (Quarry, from Brooklyn Tweed, in Sweatshirt, so be forewarned about the chaff). But yay me for completing my second ever sweater project! 👏🏼

It’s from Elizabeth Smith, the Icebreaker Sweater (really more vest) that has this nice detail at the hem, and a V-necked collar (to be revealed when I share a pic wherein I model it).
