I just found an Anime revolving around BADMINTON The causal game played outside during a nice picnic. Somehow an anime turned a causal fun outdoor sport into a story revolving a mom purposefully abandoning her daughter because she couldn’t play badmington like a pro (AT 3 YRS OLD) to have another daughter in a another country that could play like 😭??? It’s BADMINTON???? It’s not that intense

Some cleaned and upscaled panels from Hanebado. The series is basically about a girl who turns into a sociopath (i.e. "tanoshii mode") when she plays badminton. Probably the only sports manga that uses a racket that I enjoy primarily because of the art but have mixed feelings on the story. Although it's the only thing that hasn't fallen apart since Prince of Tennis just stopped giving a shit about the laws of physics
