Happy Zukka dayyyyy, it’s a national holiday. I see you are already celebrating by putting it all over my dash, 10/10 thank you for reminding me. Also I hope you are having a great day in general and better than the past however many you’ve been having. A long while ago I was writing a long fic that has a Zukka endgame but it’s like. The slowest burn and kinda in the background. Anyway, I talked about for a second but I got stuck on a chapter and it got to the point where I couldn’t read it without wanting to die so I stopped working on it and had to take a break from avatar altogether but now I’ve circled back around to it and have just restarted the chapter completely and its. So much better now.

the marks on your neck had healed and they healed fast, forever securing you to Steve and Bucky as their mate. It was a whirlwind of emotions that you had been swept up in, being mated to the two of them but it had proven to be better than you anticipted.

When you showed up at their games or their practices, one or both of them would take a moment to run to greet you. You would be swept up in an intense kiss while they were supposed to be focusing on the task at hand, and you would laugh into the kiss before finally being let go.

At the latest practice you had showed up as usual and greet Peter first, waving to the freshman who was eager to be on the team and then took your usual place by the team’s bench with your embroidry yarn to start on the latest bracelets. Halfway through the first bracelet, you had had felt eyes on the back of your head and the soft yet sinister hiss of a few cheerleaders who had also come to watch practice.

You stole a glance at the girls on the bleachers a few feet from you, catching their scathing eyes as one of them stood and started walking down the steps of the stands, her narrowed and discontorted glare poignant. With a roll of your eyes you had turned back around and focused on continuing your task, having no time or care to deal with the snotty girls. Instead, you placated your attention on the colourful strings you were braiding together and added. few beads, happy to ignore her as she encroached on you.

“Hey, bitch! it’s not enough that you have Steve and Bucky, but now you think you can get with Peter?” The cheerleader had been recgnizeable to you, made known by her screechy voice that you had heard often in the library when hshe attempted to dissuade them from studying with you.

“Peter is a friend, not a toy. And if Steve and Bucky would have wanted you, they would’ve marked you.” You raised your head, eyes scouring the field until you saw Steve and Bucky simultaneously stop and watch the two of you.

“You stole them!”

“They weren’t yours to steal,” your eyebrows had become knit together and your lips formed a deep frown as you stared at the girl to your left, looking at her like she was crazy, “you really need to sort out your priorities if this is the extent of your focus. Honestly, there’s life after university.”

You drew your attention away from the cheerleader, cast it back toward Steve and Bucky. You studied them as they started making their way over to you, stopping halfway when the beta beside you had huffed and walked away, moving back to her friends.

“Bitch,” you mumbled as you continued what you were doing, smiling small as a streak of pride shot through the bonds.
