I am ISTJ and my friend's INFP. She's great I love and trust her deeply, but no matter how much I try we don't get along as well as I wish we did. She's always questioning everything and sometimes I don't reply her questions despite knowing the answer to cuz I know she'll question me and that's just tiresome. She takes HUGE pride in being a INFP since they're happycreative people but she gets super depressed too often, which is weird. Do you know if this conflict is common between ISTJ and INFP?

Going through item by item:

Always questioning everything - yeah this can be annoying but Fi, like Ti, can do this (although from a moral than a logical position), and humoring her or answering until a point at which point you just say “Oh come on” works for me and my INTP friend. Send her evidence or resources or change the subject if you don’t think you can gently tease her about it.

INFP stereotype of “happycreative people” - I have no idea where you got this, the stereotype I’m familiar with is creative but also kind of emotionally all over the place, not happy.

Gets depressed too often - I mean, fits the stereotype but also if you mean clinical depression that’s a brain chemistry thing unrelated to type, and if you just mean sad then yeah that fits all the stereotypes I know of, and also those are holistic stereotypes and shouldn’t be taken particularly seriously.

Is this common - probably?
