drug dealer | lee jordan x reader
song; drug dealer [levelz] pairing; drug dealer!lee jordan x high-achiever!gender neutral!reader genre; fluff, mild angst, s2l word count; 3k timeline; goblet of fire warnings; swearing, (underage) weed consumption, weed dealing, mentions of anxiety, social anxiety, mentions of alcohol consumption, stress from schoolwork, pressure of high expectations summary; if anyone thought hogwarts students didn't have means to get weed, they were wrong - it was a widely used drug within the castle, and y/n was a new customer to the resident drug dealer
a/n; | PLEASE READ | this is by NO means an interpretation based on racial stereotypes - this is NOT a safe space for anybody with racist ideologies. lee jordan's characterisation as a weed dealer in hogwarts is based on his involvement with the weasley twins, as my interpretation is that if anyone in hogwarts is going to be a weed dealer it's going to be the weasley twins and/or their close friends (also, people who look down on careers like drug dealing aren't welcome here either, your classism is showing)
masterlist
"i know a guy, give you something, get a move on."
————————————
You supposed that there had been access to weed within the school for a couple decades, the business being passed from older students to younger students as they progressed through the school. You weren't sure when the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan took over the role, though, as you couldn't imagine little first years dealing with weed or any other kind of drug - but they seemed to have been doing it forever.
Angelina had told you that it was initially just the Weasley twins that took it on, as their reputation for pranks acted as a convenient cover, but as they had gotten busier with pranks at the same time weed grew in popularity, they had needed more help. Naturally, they asked their best friend, Lee Jordan, to come on board, and it had progressed to the point that Jordan handled most of the customer interactions. This was only something you learned in sixth year, as prior to that you had swore you would never do drugs and so stayed out of it. However, the looming pressure of next year's NEWTs was building, which had led you to ask your best friend (Angelina) if she knew how to get hold of weed in the school.
Being on the quidditch team with the Weasley twins, and suspiciously close with Fred, it wasn't surprising to you that she could answer. You had always had an inkling of an idea that the famous school pranksters would be a part of the dealing in Hogwarts.
What surprised you was when she mentioned Lee Jordan. Sure, he was very close with the twins, but he never got up to too much mischief himself. Perhaps that was an advantage, though - it gave him a good cover.
Angelina told you that she would talk with Fred about arranging a pick-up for you, which made you give her an accusing look - why specifically Fred? She had fumbled over an excuse afterwards, which neither of you even remotely believed.
That conversation with her prefaced you standing in the abandoned girls' toilets where Moaning Myrtle resided in the early morning, in await for either the twins or Jordan to show up. You were half expecting to do the pick-up at night, as that seemed more in theme, but then again you supposed that being out after curfew would just add more risk to something already illegal.
The door opening made you jump - you were particularly on edge given the circumstances.
"Well, I didn't believe it, but I guess it's true," Lee Jordan said with a big grin as he walked towards you.
"Hm?"
"It's not everyday goody-two-shoes Y/N L/N seeks out an illegal substance."
For some reason, you had expected the meeting to be relatively wordless. Maybe you needed to stop watching so much muggle television.
"You got the money, L/N?" he said, reaching inside his cloak.
You nodded: you had clutched it tightly in your hand this entire time - it was probably covered in sweat. Nonetheless, you opened your fist and presented the coins to him, and watched as he scanned to check it was the right amount. After confirming that it was, he scooped the money into his palm and handed a small clear plastic bag filled with green over with his other hand.
"The weed is charmed to be scentless and accio-resistant," he explained, "Courtesy of the Weasleys."
You nodded.
"And here are some papers," he handed over a small little package, "For a filter you can simply fold card into a roach."
You, again, nodded.
"That should be all. Do you want this as a regular thing or is this a one-timer?"
"Uh, a regular thing, I think."
"Damn. You're not the L/N I've heard so much about."
You shrugged, "I'm stressed."
"How does monthly sound to you? Every four weeks, same time, same place?"
You weren't sure how regularly you would need to buy it.
Sensing your confusion, Jordan continued, "If you need more sooner, seek me or the twins out. If you still have plenty in a month's time, come anyway, and we'll arrange a more fitting schedule - we don't like to sell more than a certain amount at once, you see. Sound good?"
To that, you agreed, clutching the marijuana tightly in your hand as you accepted this new chapter in your previously innocent life.
You were the first to leave the toilets, and failed to notice Jordan staring after you with curiosity in his eyes.
***
To you, the Weasley twins had always seemed unapproachable - they almost always had an audience as a result of their shining confidence and unarguably brilliant pranks. You understood why they were such a good cover for a drug business: their position in the limelight kept focus away from anything else they might be doing.
Lee Jordan had said to go to either him or the twins if you needed more weed before the month was up, but going to him seemed like the only reasonable option. Your anxiety far prevented you from being able to approach groups of people you weren't close with, and out of the three dealers, Jordan was the only one who was ever alone. You found him down by the lake on a bright spring morning, purely by chance actually, as you had decided against seeking him out and instead just hoped you would come across him alone. Your reason for being at the lake was instead to complete some assignments while taking advantage of the weather being decent for the first time that year.
"Hi," you said gently, hoping to garner his attention without too much effort.
He immediately looked up from his book and smiled at you. "How can I help you?"
"I'm out of weed."
"Sorry to disappoint, I don't have any to sell on me."
You shook your head, "I don't expect it now, obviously. You just told me to seek you out."
"I never said I didn't have any weed on me at all," he continued, "Just none to sell."
You watched as he pulled a pre-rolled blunt out his jean pocket.
"Wanna share?"
Thinking it over, you chewed on your lower lip.
"Completely free, of course."
Eventually, you nodded.
"Great, let's just go around this side of the tree. Can't be in view from the castle, can we?"
You settled down next to him on the side of the trunk hidden from an outside perspective, and watched as he lit the blunt with his wand and offered the first hit to you. Accepting it, you placed it between your lips and inhaled the smoke, that all too familiar burn hitting the back of your throat. You didn't cough or choke anymore, though, and instead held in the smoke for a few seconds before exhaling.
Passing the spliff to Jordan, you watched as the smoke rose and dissipated into the air, soon replaced by the smoke he exhaled.
"If someone had told me two months ago that I'd be sharing a joint with goody-two-shoes Y/N L/N, I would've laughed in their face," he spoke, passing the blunt back to you.
You let out a chuckle as you breathed out more smoke, "If someone had told me two months ago that I'd even consider smoking weed, I would've laughed in their face."
"Each to their own," he said, "It's just weird how you find the same people that say they'd never do drugs are the ones going out and getting twatted every night."
You hummed, "By every definition except social rules, alcohol is a drug - I don't get why it has such a different reputation."
"Why don't you drink instead of smoke?"
"I want a relaxer - alcohol just makes me energetic."
"I didn't expect you to be so experienced."
You let out a soft laugh, "My reputation is a little extreme, don't really know how I got it."
"By being a teacher's pet?"
You gently slapped his arm, "Like your reputation isn't extreme too, Jordan."
"Lee."
"Hm?"
"Just call me Lee. And, yeah, I guess it is - but I'm known for being fun, a star commentator of quidditch."
"You saying you're better than me?"
He shook his head, "No, but I like my reputation, even if it isn't fully accurate - you don't seem like you like yours."
"I don't," you agreed, "It's a lot of pressure. Everyone expects me to have the best score on assignments and tests - and I feel inclined to oblige. Really, I just want to skive a few lessons here and there, and only do well in the ones I want a career in."
"Why did you get this reputation for yourself, then?"
"Because back in first year, I found everything easy. So I just got high scores without too much trouble. But then people expected me to do well, so as the content got harder, I had to start putting work into even the subjects I hated to maintain people's opinion of me."
"Would it be so bad to ruin the reputation?"
"I don't like the attention being on me. As weird as it sounds, by being consistently the best, I have a relatively anonymous status. If I had a drastic change, people would notice, and I don't want them to."
Lee nodded, exhaling another puff of smoke, "Well, just another year and a half left."
"Yeah, great. NEWTs."
"You could quit now - all you need is your OWLs to legally do magic."
"And do what sort of career? At this point I feel like I'm destined to work tirelessly in the Ministry."
"Ah, well-"
"It's even worse, now, too. Because the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students are here - meaning that's even more people I'm up against in academics."
"As nice as it is meeting all these people, I am sad that the Triwizard Tournament means quidditch isn't on."
You smiled at him, "One of your hustles on pause for a year."
"I don't get paid to do it."
"True. You only get paid for weed dealing."
"Yup," he laughed, "But, hey, it's the first tournament in like a hundred years, it's a once-in-a-lifetime event."
"And probably the last for another hundred years given the whole Potter fiasco."
Lee took a moment to still, and look at you with his big brown eyes, "You're more talkative than I thought you'd be."
You rolled your eyes, "Aren't I full of surprises?"
"Well, we've established that."
"I think it's the weed. I'm not sure. I've only ever smoked alone before."
"Glad to be a part of your first blunt rotation, then."
"Is it really a rotation if there's only two people?"
He shrugged.
You let a smile grace your lips, "I'm glad it's you either way."
***
"Are you cooking meth in here?" you said loudly, catching the three boys in the abandoned girls' bathroom completely off guard.
They were hovered around a set of four copper cauldrons, each bubbling in different shades of purple.
"Oh, thank Godric, it's just you," Lee breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'm here when you said to be," you checked your watch just to confirm.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. We just lost track of time."
"It's not meth," one of the twins added, "We don't deal with drugs more serious than weed."
You looked upon their apparent science experiment, and decided not to ask any further questions.
"Okay, whatever, you got the weed?"
"Certainly do."
You examined the small plastic bag he handed you, noting how there was more weed in it than he had given you last time - it confused you, he had said about how they didn't like to sell more than a certain amount of weed at a time.
"Forgot about our rules, Lee?" one of the twins spoke, moving over to the two of you, "We have a limit." He gestured to the bag with his eyes.
"You know the exceptions, George."
The boy's eyes widened, "Oh, really? You didn't tell us."
You looked between the two of them curiously, "Am I missing something?"
"No, no," George said, pushing you towards the door, "It's a pleasure doing business with you, L/N."
"Wait, I haven't-" the door was shut in your face, "...paid."
You tried to open the bathroom door again, but it was locked. On any other occasion, you would have tried an unlocking charm, but you were running late for a study date with Angelina, so you decided to chase up Lee later.
***
For some reason, Lee Jordan dropped off the grid for the next two days - which was an impressive feat, considering Hogwarts only had so many hiding places. You really would have preferred to talk to him than the twins, as you were more accustomed to him, but you also hated having unpaid debts, so worked up the courage to approach them during dinner.
"Hey-"
"L/N, looking for Lee?" the twin closest to you said.
"Well-"
"He's been busy monitoring our experiment the last couple days - we've been taking the night shifts, we thought he'd have told you."
Why would he have told you?
"We had to move from the abandoned toilets though - too many people go in there."
You didn't have a chance to interrupt them as they told you where Lee was, and at that point you felt obliged to go there.
"J- Lee?" you called out, entering the long abandoned classroom you'd been essentially instructed to go to.
"Y/N?" the dark-haired boy looked up in surprise.
"Hi."
It was weird - you had trekked up here, rehearsing in your mind and also out loud the explanation you had for being there. (Although, it wasn't much of an explanation, since you weren't entirely sure yourself.) Now you were here, your mind had gone blank. All you could do was stare at the boy sat by the cauldrons, who stared back at you expectantly.
"Hi?" he replied, tilting his head.
"Uh- the twins- the twins told me you were here... I'm not sure why."
"Did you... want to see me?"
You pursed your lips in thought, "I mean- I went to them because I didn't get a chance to pay you all, and they just kinda- told me where you were? I felt too awkward to tell them what I was actually there for so I just kinda came here."
Lee hummed, gesturing for you to sit down. You obliged, sitting opposite him with your legs crossed.
"I'm glad the twins took the night shift - I know I wouldn't manage to stay as energetic as them during the day if I was on it."
"I don't think those two know how to be tired."
"It does happen, but so very rarely."
You felt shy meeting his gaze, and it confused you. Sure, you were a relatively awkward person by nature, but Lee was making you feel like that in a new sort of way. You felt safe yet nervous in his presence.
"Is it lonely spending all day here?"
"A little. Sometimes I like the peace, though."
You nodded, relishing in the next few moments of silence before digging through your pockets to find the money you had kept on you the last couple days. Once all the coins were in your hand, you presented them in your palm to the boy sat in front of you.
He glanced at the currency, then shook his head, not moving his arms an inch.
Frowning, you looked down at the coins to carefully check it was the right amount, before presenting them to him again when you confirmed that it was.
"I don't want your money."
"Why not?"
"You don't have to pay."
Your mind ticked back to when they had mentioned something about an exception, and the way George especially had spoken about it.
"Why not?" you asked again.
Lee looked as if he was having an internal struggle about what to say next.
You awaited his next words without saying anything.
"I like you, Y/N, I like you a lot," he finally said, "And I was really hoping that I could take you on a date."
Dumbstruck didn't even begin to describe your emotions: one of the most infamously fun people in the school thought of the resident goody-two-shoes as a potential love interest?
You supposed they do say opposites attract.
"Of course, you can say no, it's no pressure, rea-"
You cut him off by leaning forwards and pressing your lips against his, making him let out a "hmph" sound. As you pulled away, you apologised, but he dismissed you by pulling you back in for another kiss.
"Is that a yes?" he asked when you separated again.
You nodded.
"Great, uh, yeah- great. That's why the weed's free, by the way. Our S/Os don't pay."
"S/O? Already?"
Lee laughed nervously.
"Awfully bold of you, Lee Jordan."
"Sorry, I-"
"Don't worry about it," you grinned, "I like that about you."

REQUEST A ONESHOT
“Y/n! Y/n, wake up!” Sydney, your roommate and best friend, screamed. She’d been shouting at you for at least 2 minutes but you just didn’t want to get out of bed. Groaning, you rolled over, pulling the duvet up over your head in an attempt to block out the light flooding in from the window.
“Just 5 more minutes.”
"You can’t sleep any more Y/n, we’re going to Hogsmeade today,” Sydney said excitedly.
“I don’t want to go,” you whined, snuggling closer to the duvet, of course you did really want to go, I mean today was your date with Scorp and there was no way you were missing that.
Sydney decided she’d had enough and grabbed the end of your duvet, beginning to try and pull it off of you.
“Deeee, stoopp” you cried.
“Get your lazy arse out of bed!” Sydney bellowed, giving one massive pull before she toppled over onto the floor, duvet in hand, as you laughed hysterically on top of her.
Sydney got up, dusted herself off and sent a glare in your direction before giving in and laughing herself.
“At least, I got you out of bed,” Sydney chuckled, offering you a hand and pulling you up from the floor, chucking your duvet back on the bed.
Moving quickly the two of you grabbed your clothes, got dressed and began walking down the corridors towards the entrance of Hogwarts.
“We’ve missed breakfast so I’m going to go get us some food from the kitchens,” Sydney said, you simply nodded in her direction.
“I’ll go meet Scor in the entrance hall, he said he’d meet us there,” You replied, giving Sydney a quick hug before going your separate ways.
Scorpius heard some footsteps echoing through the halls. He could see Ben coming his way, from the bouncy stride he knew there was a grin plastered on his face. So typical for him to be happy in the morning. He’d be upbeat, joking, looking for banter. Scorpius dived into his bag for a book to hide behind. He could stare at the text, act like he had something better to do than talk.
“Hey, Scor. I just saw Y/n, I might ask her out on a date!” Ben told him loudly. Scorpius let the book sink back into his bag.
“Oh, right,” Scorpius muttered, “You like her? ” Scorpius was worried, Ben had never seemed interested in Y/n before, in fact, he usually insulted her.
“She seems boring as hell but I’ve heard she’s a good kisser. There isn’t much I wouldn’t do for a good snog.” Ben winked, grinning wider.
Scorpius’ mouth set itself into a thin line, he was trying to control his anger but he was on the verge of insanity.
“Father would kill me if he found out I went on a date with her, let alone kissed her. I mean her mother could be a muggle, or worse a mudblood, and her father’s a Weasley.” Ben said, sneering as he spoke.
“Don’t talk about her like that.” Scorpius hissed, his teeth clenched and knuckles turning whiter by the minute.
“What’s wrong? You’ve never stopped me before. You scared the mudblood spawn is going to hear?”  Ben mocked.
Scorpius couldn’t stop the bubble of anger burning inside him and before he could control himself his fist collided with Ben’s face.
“Don’t you dare insult Y/n like that! Ever!” Scorpius screamed at the top of his lungs, his fist slamming into Bens’ face.
Blood pooled in Bens’ mouth.
Scorpius dodged his measly attempt at a punch and came up with his own; for a brief instant, Bens chocolate brown eyes widened before he managed to tilt his head back and slam it into Scorpius’ nose. Stars burst into his vision but he shook it off, blindly throwing a sloppy kick. Ben stepped back, easily evading the kick.
“Is that all you got?” he crowed, smirking infuriatingly at Scorpius.
A crowd had begun to gather in a circle around Scorpius and Ben, Scorpius growled and threw himself at Ben, changing direction at the last minute but Ben picked up on this and threw his body weight behind the fist that edged closer to Scorpius’ face, it hit his jaw with such force that blood pooled into his mouth and the pain that erupted from the point of impact was almost unbearable.
With his own two hands Scorpius grasped Bens’ head in his hands and brought his knee cap up to Bens’ nose, there was a blunt crack and Scorpius released his dark haired head. Crimson leaked from both his nostrils and his nose was twisted right.
He drew his fist back again and it ploughed into Scorpius’ stomach, it was like hitting a train head on. Scorpius’ guts smashed together, blood vessels bursting.
He repaid this by punching his jaw, his fist collided with his face.
Scorpius continued this battering until Ben fell to the floor. His chest gently rose and sank with each shallow breath he drew in. Scorpius sunk to the floor in defeat, he was knackered and his whole body was aching. Nobody was going to insult Y/n like that and get away with it, at least not when Scorpius was around.
When Scorpius first came into view you didn’t recognise him, he was too far away but you could tell something wasn’t right. He was sat up against a wall and a circle of students were crowded around him, while what looked to be Ben sprawled across the floor seemingly unconscious.
As you neared your heart fell right through your chest, he was purple. His left eye swollen, he couldn’t have been able to see a thing out of that. His face was streaming with bright red blood and his clothes were an utter mess.
You were at his side in an instant. His mouth moving, trying to say your name, his cracked lips failing at the first syllable.
“Merlin! Scor? What happened? Are you okay?” You asked, fussing over him and trying not to cry.
“Y/n, just go and get madam Pomfrey,” Scorpius said, his voice barely a whisper as he spoke.
“No! I’m not leaving you.” You told him, looked around desperately. You needed someone you could trust.
“Lucy! Go and get madam Pomfrey. Now!” You screamed, terror bubbling up and taking a hold of your body.
You didn’t care about the crowd watching or the fact that Bens unconscious body was at your feet, you just needed Scorpius to be okay.
“Y/n? What’s going on?” Albus asked.
“Nothing, just leave me alone Al,” Y/n answered, you couldn’t deal with Scorpius being in this state and Al being difficult all at the same time.
“What the hell are you playing at y/n?” Albus hollered after seeing your hand entwined in Scorpius’.
“Al, I said go away.” You choked, on the brink of tears as the words slid from your mouth, “This doesn’t concern you, go away!”
“Of course, it does! My cousin is holding the hand of Scorpius-Fucking-Malfoy who’s collapsed against a wall drenched in his own blood.” Albus cried.
“I know who this fucking is! Also, since when did you start caring?” You growled, memories flooding your brain from the past couple of weeks. Al not talking to you and setting half the Gryffindors against you all because you dared to talk to Scorpius and his mates.
“Of course, I care Y/n, you’re my cousin and one of my best friends.” Albus said sincerely, You had to try and stop yourself from laughing at this comment.
“Best friend? You haven’t been my best friend in a while Potter, sure you’re my cousin but that I have to live with! Plus I seem to remember that the last time you even talked to me was 2 weeks ago, and what was you said to me again? Oh yeah, I remember, it was an insult.” You spat at him.
“That doesn’t explain why you’re holding his hand and fussing over him like he is actually worth something.” Albus said, bristled a bit at the use of his second name coming out of your mouth.
“He is worth something! Scorpius Malfoy is one of the most amazing people I have ever met, he’s been there for me when nobody else was. He’s made me happier than any of you can even imagine.” You snarled.
“I can’t believe you, Y/n! I kept your secret over Christmas break but I’m not going to anymore, Uncle Charlie will have a fit when he finds out about this.” Albus said, smiling smugly, thinking that he’d won and that you were going to give in.
“Go on then Albus, go tell him.” You hissed at him, knowing your dad wouldn’t car and that it was his brothers you’d have a harder time convincing.
“Really? You care more about him than about how disappointed the family will be?” Albus asked shocked.
“I’ve been afraid of disappointing people my whole life Albus. I’ve been scared of not being good enough and the one time I want to do something that will make me happy you turn on me. Yes, he may not be family but in some ways, he’s more than that. He chose to talk to me, to listen to me whereas you guys have to put up with me, you don’t get a choice but he does and he chose me.” You told him, not even looking in his direction as you stared down at Scorpius, a hand caressing his face softly.
“This is ridiculous!” Albus screamed, throwing his hands up in the air. turning on his heels back down the corridor.
The halls were eerily quiet after Albus’ retreat and everyone was staring at you in shock. You felt someone squeeze your hand and looked down to see Scorpius staring up at you, unshed tears in his eyes.
“Y/n, I … I’m so sorry. He insulted you in front of me and an I … I just couldn’t let him w-walk away,” Scorpius’ voice was barely a whisper, his throat sore and you could tell he was struggling to stay conscious.
“You have nothing to be sorry for,” You cooed softly.
“Thank you,” Scorpius whispered before slipping into unconsciousness.
Lucy placed her hands on her knees as she stood outside the hospital wing doors, she’d ran there as fast as she can and it was safe to say that she needed to start doing more exercise, she was knackered.
When she entered, Madam Pomfrey was rushing around the ward muttering something about careless students under her breath. Lucy noticed a boy sat on the furthest bed from the door.
“Oh hello dear, what can I do for you?” Madam Pomfrey asked.
“There’s been a fight by the entrance hall, one boy seems to be unconscious on the floor and the other can hardly stand,” Lucy explained.
Madam Pomfreys eyes shot out of her head, she rushed over to the boy on the bed and told him to stay here while she went and sorted something out. About a second later she was rushing out of the door with Lucy trailing behind her.
When they reached the entrance hall the crowd seemed to have grown as more and more students tried to see what had happened. Scorpius and Ben were still in the same place, Y/n was sat over Scorpius holding his hand, tears running down her face. Dom had moved forward and was trying to comfort her while the rest of the family were still stood in the crowd, mouth agape and staring at the scene that was unfolding in front of them.
“Y/n? Are you okay?” Lucy whispered, you turned around at the sound of Lucy’s voice and flung yourself into her open arms, sobbing uncontrollably into her shoulder before lifting your head and looking at Madam Pomfrey as she began levitating Scorpius back to the Hospital Wing.
“Is he going to be okay?” You mumbled, eyes puffy and red from crying so hard and voice raw as you spoke.
“Everything will be fine Y/n, go with him."
"Thank you,” You whispered, “Thank you so much!” You turned around to follow Madam Pomfrey back to the hospital wing and Lucy followed.
You’d face the wrath of you cousins later, at the moment, you needed to make sure everything was alright.
“Scorpius?” Astoria whispered into her son’s ear.
She’d been floo’d a couple of hours ago with the news that her son had been in a fist fight with a fellow student and that he was in the hospital wing. She was surprised to find a girl curled up outside the hospital wing with tears running rapidly down her face. She had y/h/c hair and a light sprinkle of freckles across her nose and a cute button nose. Astoria thought her to be quite pretty and wondered why she was in the state she was.
“Mother?” Scorpius asked, covering his eyes with his hand as the burning light began streaming through his eyelids. “What are you doing here?”
“We got a call from the headmistress telling us you’d gotten in a fight and that you were in pretty bad shape.”
“We?”
“Your father and I, he’s not here, though. He had to be at work, he had an important meeting.” She was trying her best to sound comforting, but Scorpius just turned a blind eye not wanting to acknowledge his fathers absence.
“Please, Scorpius tell me what happened.” Astoria pleaded.
“I can’t.” Scorpius mumbled, he ducked his head in shame and tried his hardest to avoid eye contact with his Mother.
“Why not?” She questioned.
“Father would be disappointed in me if he found out, he wouldn’t care. He’d tell me it’s not something to lose a friend over.” He admitted.
Astoria thought back to when she’d seen that girl out in the corridor earlier, maybe she had something to do with this.
“It’s a girl isn’t it.” She said, it wasn’t a question, but a statement. She knew it was about that girl now, she could see it in his eyes.
“Why do you say that?” Scorpius asked wearily.
“There’s been a girl sat outside the doors for several hours, they won’t let her in. Every time someone comes in or out she tries her best to get in but Madam Pomfrey keeps telling her that there are to be no visitors yet.” Astoria watched as her sons eyes lit up.
“Y/n is out there?” He asked, trying his hardest not to smile but failing miserably.
“So that her name is it? Y/n.” Astoria thought it was a pretty name, it sounded familiar.
“Yes mother, Y/n.Y/n Weasley.“ Scorpius knew he had to get it out of the way, his parents hated the Weasleys and it was better if his mother knew straight away instead of trying to hide it from her.
"Weasley? But she’s .. you can’t not a - a Weasley. They’re blood traitors. You can’t.” Astoria gasped at his confession, but she seemed like a perfectly normal girl, how could she be a Weasley?
“This is why I didn’t want you to know. You don’t even know her and you’re already judging her just because of her name. Does it look like I care mother?” Scorpius barked, he was getting frustrated and before his mother could answer him Madam Pomfrey opened the curtains and move towards his bed.
“Scorpius, How are you feeling?” She asked, a kind smile on her face.
“I’ve got a bit of a headache but that’s all Madam Pomfrey! Thank you.” It wasn’t a lie, Scorpius’ head felt like it was on fire, it was throbbing painfully, it was as if a hundred hammers were hitting his head at the same time.
“That’s okay my boy, I just need you to take this potion to ease any pain and you’ll be able to leave the hospital wing by tomorrow.” Scorpius took the potion and guzzled it down, he instantly felt better.
“Madam Pomfrey?” Scorpius stopped her before she could make it out of hearing distance.
“Yes my dear”
“Can Y/n come in now?” Scorpius asked. Astorias eyes popped out of her head and Scorpius just gave her a stern look, reminding her not to say anything to offend her.
“Of course, I’ll just go and get her,” Madam Pomfrey replied, chuckling at the looks Scorpius and his mother were sharing with each other.
Mother and Son didn’t exchange any more words and stood there in silence as they waited for Scorpius’ guest. The sound of rushing footsteps reached Scorpius’ ears and before he knew it a bundle of y/h/c hair was in his face and you’d jumped on his bed enveloping him in a death grip.
“Oh, my gosh Scorpius I was so worried! Are you alright?” You fussed over him as he struggled to catch his breath.
“I’m fine,” he insisted as he moved your hair out of your eyes.
“Don’t you ever do that to me again! Do you have any idea how scared I was, I’ve been out there for hours waiting for you! What were you thinking?” You’d sat up from where you were perched on Scorpius’ lap and began lecturing him about his behaviour.
Scorpius had to grab your face to get her to pay attention, you had tears running down your face and he brushed them off carefully with his thumb. He felt you shiver at his touch and chuckled to himself.
“Y/n, calm down. I’m sorry okay, I’m sorry.”
“Good,” You answered, giving him a peck on the lips as you snuggled closer.
“hmph hmph” Someone coughed from to the right side of you, making you jump off of Scorpius when you finally realised who it was. Your face burning red as you shuffled over to introduce yourself.
“Oh, I’m so sorry. Y/n Weasley.”
“Astoria Malfoy, lovely to meet you.” Scorpius watched as his mother talked to you, she seemed genuine but he couldn’t be 100% sure. You turned to face Scorpius as Astoria finished talking.
“Scor, you didn’t tell me your mother was here.” you hissed under your breath.
“I didn’t have the time to tell you after you came barging in here.” He put his hands up in surrender as he spoke, but you merely sighed, you couldn’t be mad at him when he looked so darn cute.
“I can come back later if you like, I don’t want to disrupt anything,” You said.
“Y/n you don’t have to go.” Scorpius began, he didn’t want you to leave just because his mother was here.
“But you and -” Scorpius cut you off as you began to try and leave.
“Y/n, I want you to stay.” He insisted, causing you to flush red.
“Oh, okay then. I’ll just go and sit over here."
Astoria watched on in amusement as you went to sit in the chair on Scorpius’ left.
"So how long have you and my son been together Miss Weasley?” Astoria asked.
“Oh, um, I - about 2 months now,” You answered. Astoria looked over at her son, the pride and love evident as he looked at you.
“Well, I best give you two some privacy. I’ll be back in a moment Scorpius." Before anyone could protest Astoria had turned on her heels and slipped out of the curtains.
"Scor I’m so sorry. I didn’t realise she was in here! I wouldn’t have come rushing in like that if I’d known.” You began spluttering but Scorpius simply smiled at you.
“Y/n, Look at me. Don’t worry about it. Okay?"
Your eyes locked and Scorpius’ breath faltered as he got lost in your beautiful blue eyes.
"Okay,” you gulped, leaning to give him a proper kiss.
“Were you really out there for several hours?” He asked, holding you close after your kiss, you nodded wondering if he’d think you weird.
“Are you tired?” He asked he seemed generally concerned.
“Just a little but it’s nothing to worry about,” You confirmed. In actual fact, you were knackered but you didn’t want Scorpius to worry about you. He was the one in a hospital bed, not you.
They lay there for a while, both were drifting off to sleep in each others arms.
“I’m glad you’re okay Scor,” You whispered. Before Scorpius could answer you closed your eyes and were fast asleep, Scorpius following your lead closely after.
Astoria walked in about an hour later to find you and Scorpius curled up in the single bed fast asleep. Maybe this Y/n girl wasn’t as bad as she thought.

Our Little Ray of Sunshine
Request: Hey, could you do a dramione oneshot where all the characters are still in hogwarts, Hermione is pregnant with Dracos’ baby and she has trouble giving birth. Could you include some Ron Bashing but maybe Ginny and Harry are friends with Draco cause they know how supportive he’s been? Does this make sense? Hope so, anyway than you! - Anon
Warnings: near death experience, Ron!Bashing, Teen Pregnancy, This does NOT follow canon.
Pairing: Draco x Hermione
A/N: I hope you liked :) I really loved writing this, if you have any requests then go ahead and send them in, or you can just ask me any question in general, I’d love to answer :)
Draco came bounding through the door, his clothes thrown on and hair worse than a birds nest. He had on a t-shirt brandishing the name of the world famous band, ‘A Bludger to the Head’, grey sweatpants and an odd pair of socks. All he knew was that Hermione had been admitted to St Mungo’s; that something awful had occurred; that he hadn’t been there to help her and that for the first time in his life he was well and truly afraid.
“What’s he doing here?” Ron bellowed, arms waving in the air and face turning a deep shade of red at the arrival of Draco.
Draco ignored the cries of fury coming from Rons direction, as he rushed over to Ginny, grabbing her by the shoulders and looking her straight in the eyes.
“Gin! I came here as soon as I heard, what’s happening? What’s wrong with ‘Mione? Is she alright?” Draco asked, rattling out question after question, his nerves showing as he got more frantic.
Ginny noticed the real fear etched onto his face, this sight alone terrified her. In the past year of them being friends she had never seen him this frightened, sure there were times when he was a little scared but at the moment the expression on his face scared Ginny more than anything.
Ginny didn’t know what to say, everything had happened so quickly. She was trying to remember what they’d been told just moments before, her mind couldn’t process it all. All Ginny knew was that something was happening to Hermione and the Baby, none of them knew what it was but from the way Harry had been thrown out and with how many healers kept rushing into the room and not coming back out it had to be serious, she couldn’t lose her best friend she just couldn’t, she wouldn’t let it happen.
“Gin? Are you okay? What’s happening?” Draco asked, his voice had calmed down a tad and he was staring into Ginnys eyes, Ginny had to look away, she couldn’t bare to see the fear swimming in those grey orbs.
“Draco … It’s … It’s the baby” Ginny managed to stutter out, she was on the brink of tears, only allowing them to fall when she saw Dracos’ whole body tense up.
“The baby? What about it? Ginny, I swear if you don’t tell me right now …” Draco bit out angrily, about to take all of his pent up anger and frustration out on Ginny.
However, he never got to finish his sentence because somebody had come up behind him and rested a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down,
“Draco, calm down okay? Just sit down and we’ll explain everything. I promise.“
As Draco spun around he saw that it was Neville who had spoken to him, he nodded stiffly before pulling a chair over and reluctantly taking a seat.
“Remember what’s happening is hard on all of us …” Neville told him.
Draco now had Ginny sat next to him, squeezing his hand tightly in support, Neville and Harry stood behind him, each with a hand on his shoulders and Luna was sat cross-legged at his feet a hand on his knee. He had to fight back a tear as he looked at the people surrounding him, they were the only people who gave him a chance when he started dating Hermione, they were the only people who didn’t throw insults or leave him when they found out he’d gotten Hermione pregnant at only 17.
“Hermione went into premature labour about half an hour ago, she seemed off all day so this morning me and Ginny brought her over here to get checked up.” Harry began.
“Why did no-one tell me?” Draco interrupted.
“She told us not to worry you because it probably wasn’t anything major. She said, well she thought, she still had 1 month left before the baby was due but it seems we were all wrong.” Ginny told him, squeezing his hand a little harder so that he knew she was there for him.
“Anyway, me and Gin were in there when all of the monitors began to beep, they were going crazy, ‘Mione just looked at me and told he to get you before she passed out and at least a dozen healers ran into the room. They insisted we leave so they could help her, we’ve been waiting to hear something for the last 20 minutes but nobody has come out.” Harry said, fighting back the tears building in his eyes.
Draco couldn’t move, something bad was happening and he couldn’t be in there to support her, anger was bubbling up inside and he knew that pretty soon he was going to blow. How could they all just be sat here? Why aren’t they trying to find out what’s wrong with her?
Neville had placed a hand on the back of his chair and was trying to get him to respond to whatever it was they had just asked him,
“Draco, we know it’s hard to hear all of this but just say something mate, anything,” Neville asked worriedly.
Just as Draco was about to answer a healer shuffled out of Hermiones room and made his way over to the group of Weasleys and co.
“Is … is she alright?” Draco managed to choke out, looking at the doctor, pleading that everything was okay and that they could all go home happy and healthy.
“I’m so sorry, the baby’s placenta was blocking the way out so we had to do an emergency c-section, your little girl barely made it out alive.” The doctor informed them.
Draco just stared at the doctor in shock, his mouth wide open. He had a little girl. Draco couldn’t believe it, he was a father and to a beautiful little girl no doubt, but what about Hermione?
“Can I see her?” Draco asked, referring to his daughter.
“I’m afraid we have had to put her in intensive care, you will be able to see her tomorrow morning,” The doctor replied.
“You said you were sorry” Draco began, “that doesn’t mean Hermione’s …” He couldn’t find the courage to say the word but the doctor looked at him sympathetically and sighed.
“No, she’s not dead but we don’t think she’ll be strong enough to survive the night, after we got your little girl out Miss Granger began to haemorrhage, she’s lost so much blood and if we tried to give her a blood replenishing potion then there is a high chance that her body will reject any new blood because of the quantity we would be replenishing her with. If her body did reject the blood then her body would go into shock and shut down. We’re keeping her on some drips in the hope she can recover quickly so we can give her a blood replenishing potion but she’s so weak that her body may not heal in time” The doctor informed them sadly, Draco was about to ask something when the Doctor interrupted him.
“ - and before you ask I’m afraid nobody can go in and see her not unless she recovers completely.“
Everyone stared at the doctor in shock, a blanket of silence enveloping the group.
Draco couldn’t take it any more he had to see her, he wasn’t going to let this man tell him what to do, he had to keep his promise, he had to be with her no matter what.
Draco began to rise and was storming towards the door when two pairs of arms grabbed him and held him in place.
Draco began thrashing around desperately trying to get them to free him so he could be with Hermione but they were having none of it. Draco hadn’t even realised he was fighting back until Harry whispered in his ear.
“Draco stop fighting us, it’s not going to do any good. We all want to see her but we can’t okay, just calm down, please. The healers know what they’re doing, everything is going to be okay.” Harry reassured him.
“NO, EVERYTHING IS NOT GOING TO BE OKAY! HERMIONE IS DYING IN THERE AND I AM GOING TO SEE HER. I WON’T LET HER DIE THINKING I DON’T CARE, I WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN.” Draco shrieked, trying his hardest to break free of the grips Neville and Harry had on him.
The healer who was watching this began to slip towards the door and before retreating into the room replied,
“I’m so sorry Mr Malfoy but you nor anyone else can see her it would just make her worse, I’m sorry.” and with that he was gone.
“NO! NO! LET ME IN! LET ME SEE HER, I NEED TO SEE HER PLEASE YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND I CAN’T LEAVE HER … I … I promised.” Draco cried. Harry and Neville had let go of him, as he crumpled on to the floor, head in his hands muttering frantically to himself.
“I promised her she wouldn’t have to do this alone … please … I love her don’t do this … don’t do this … please … please … I can’t let her die … I can’t let her die … I need her,”
Tears were running freely down his face and all the adults in the room were staring at him with regret and sadness plastered on their faces.
This boy, the boy they had tried to drive away, the boy they had accused of not caring, was sat in the middle of the floor on a ward at St Mungo’s praying for Hermione’s life. He didn’t care that all the patients on the ward were staring at him thinking him a mad man, all he cared about was Hermione, as long as she was okay nothing in the world mattered. It was then they realised this boy actually did love Hermione and would do anything for her, probably even die for her and they’d treated him like he was nothing.
Draco had stayed in the same position for almost 3 hours, the rest of the Weasleys, Neville, Ginny and Luna were all asleep on the chairs in the waiting room, not wanting to leave Hermione.
Draco looked up, his tear-stained face making his eyes puffy and skin red and blotchy, he caught sight of Ron and growled quietly.
Ron never did agree with Hermione and his relationship, he shouldn’t be here, not after what he did to Hermione. Friends don’t give up on each other because of who they love.
Draco wasn’t really one to talk though, most of his friends had abandoned him, the only friend from Slytherin that he had left, apart from those he had made in Harry, Luna, Nevile and Ginny, was Blaise.
“You alright mate?” Harry asked, walking over to Draco and sitting beside him. Draco hadn’t realised he was awake, he nodded silently, sniffing as he did, Harry handed him a handkerchief, which he took gratefully.
“I can’t lose her Harry, I just can’t,” Draco told him helplessly, staring longingly at Hermiones hospital door.
“She’ll pull through, she’s Hermione, she’s never failed anything.” said Harry, placing a soothing hand on Dracos shoulder.
“I sure hope so,” Draco whispered, before he fell asleep on the floor of the waiting room.
“Draco! Wake up,”
“What?” Draco said blearily, rubbing his eyes and looking up into the teary eyes of one Ginevra Weasley.
“She’s alright,” Ginny cried.
“She? Who - Hermione?” Draco said in sudden realisation, forgetting where he was and what was happening.
“Yes, she’s okay. She pulled through,” Ginny told him, tears of happiness running down her face.
“She’s alright?” Draco said in astonishment, tears falling from his eyes as well. Ginny nodded.
“Can I see her?” He asked urgently.
“Doctor said we could go and see her, we waited so you could be the first one.” Ginny replied.
As soon as he got confirmation Draco bolted for Hermiones hospital room door. He opened the door to find Hermione propped up on a pillow, her skin waxy and pale and hair clinging to her face.
“Hey there beautiful,” Draco whispered tentatively, reaching out to take her hand, finally feeling whole now that his hand was back in hers again.
“Hey there Dragon,” Hermione smiled weakly, brushing her thumb along his knuckles.
“I thought I’d lost you,” Draco whispered, burying his face in her shoulder.
“You’ll never lose me Draco,” Hermione assured him, kissing him lightly on the forehead.
The moment was interrupted by a nurse walking into the room, carrying a bundle of blankets in her arms.
“I have someone who wants to meet her mummy and daddy,” The nurse chirped, handing the most beautiful baby girl to Hermione, who had tears already dripping off her chin at the mention of her daughter.
“She’s beautiful,” Hermione said, reaching out to stroke the platinum blonde hair out of her baby girls face.
“The most precious thing in the world,” Draco agreed, a single tear escaping as his daughter reached out and took a hold of his pinky finger. “What shall we call her?” Draco asked.
“How about Cassiopeia,” Hermione suggested.
“It’s perfect,” Draco told her.
“We did good, didn’t we,” She said, never taking her eyes off Cassies little form.
“We sure did,” Draco agreed, “She’s our little ray of sunshine, our special little Cassiopeia.”

Malfoy’s Ring
Okay I didn’t know how I finished this... I thought it was going to be one of my many onehots never to be written. Its also kinda long. I feel really proud of myself. I even managed to do a bit of rewriting and writing for Dreaming Reality. Anyways, here’s a little one-shot snippet thing. Shoutout to @abbyarcxnes for helping me. Thanks! <3
Ashcroft Tag: @bravelittleflower , @lizziesxltzmxn , @prophecy-grrl , @foxesandmagic Forever tag: @perfectlystiles , @guardiansofheroes (If you want to be added, or taken off of my tag. Just shoot me an ask.)
Draco knew crossing through the Ashcroft portkey would be risky, and no doubt Mr. Ashcroft would know who was coming through. He already thought poorly of Draco. Even though threat of harm from a hit wizard, frightened him. Draco cared more for Skylar’s well being than her father’s wrath. Taking a deep breath composing himself. He pushed opened the side gate to the Ashcroft backyard. The gate closed behind him sealing the portkey shut until activated again.
The aura surrounding the mansion was heavy and somber. Nothing new for the Ashcroft mansion, but as Draco stepped closer, he saw that only one of the lights were lit. It was Nathaniel’s study. It seemed as the dark lords plans began to go into effect the less and less Draco saw of his own father. It probably was similar for Skylar. Off to the side of the house was another light. Mrs. Ashcroft’s greenhouse.
The greenhouse brought a sense of life onto the mansion grounds, the idea of helping something live kept Skylar content. She had stopped receiving letter from her friends, even Harry… and Sebastian no longer tried to reach out to her. It was for their own good and at least they finally decided to take her word for it. Skylar set the watering can down on the table and sat down on the spiral staircase.
Draco caught sight of Skylar sitting on the iron bench. She wore a dark jumper and jeans. As usual her long hair was pulled back in a dark red bow. It made him smile to himself that the red bow was only red to upset Nathaniel. Instead of her being in Slytherin like Sebastian or Nathaniel, she followed in her mother’s footsteps as a Gryffindor. It was not a subject Draco would dare bring up in front of Nathaniel as the loss of Renee was still sore.
Inching closer to see the mark on her arm Draco didn’t notice the toolbox on the floor. The sound of tools shifting in the container startled the two in the greenhouse. Skylar stood and her hand instinctively went to her wand, pointing it towards Draco.
“Draco?! I could have hurt you! What are you doing here?” Skylar lowered her wand and breathed a heavy sigh of relief. “If my father catches you-”
“I didn’t mean to scare you; your father is most likely in his study. I’m sure he is focused more on some task.” Draco wove off the vague threat of the hit-wizard. The silence of the Ashcroft property overcame the two of them. As the time passed them by Draco stuck his hands in his pockets to stop fiddling with his hands. He hadn’t known what to say now that he was in front of Skylar. Skylar had mimicked him, but Draco knew that she had stuck her hands in her pockets to avoid seeing parts of Draco. She had been forced to discard her gloves whenever the dark lord wanted to see what was next for fate.
“Are you sure you want to stay Draco?”
“Your father hasn’t stepped foot in the greenhouse in many years Skylar. I think I’ll be alright, besides… this is where I’m meant to be.”
“So, what was the reason you came over here then? If not to see my father that is.” Skylar snapped; her accusation was meant to hurt Draco. He had not seen Skylar in a while. He refused to cross the portkey partially of fear, and the other part because the last time he was there. Their argument had brought up harsh realities.
“He was here, wasn’t he?” Draco’s voice was softer than usual. The two of them shared a pained expression. “I wanted to see you… My father suggested different. That you needed rest.” Draco looked up from his dress shoes when he heard sniffling. The tears had already started to fall. “Skylar,” He went to hold her, only to be met with her shying away from his touch. It was clear she didn’t want to see anything anymore by accident. The look in her eyes showed he had seen too much. Draco’s eyes darted around the greenhouse finding a pair of gardening gloves and picked them up. He hit them against his hands getting off a majority of the mulch and dirt, then gave them to Skylar. Her eyes lit up and she put them on eagerly. Once the gloves were secure on both her hands Draco quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her against his chest.
Skylar’s stiffness soon melted away in Draco’s arms. The waterworks broke free and she grabbed at his shirt. Skylar didn’t care about the dirt that would most likely stain his dress shirt, nor did Draco care. His arms tightened around her shaking frame. “I’m do tired Draco… I don’t want to do this anymore.” Her words pulled at Draco’s heart. “I now understand my mother’s choice to say no… I wish it would all just… be over.”
Draco wasn’t aware he had shed a few tears until he felt a dampness on his cheeks. Quickly he wiped his eyes and returned his grip to Skylar’s embrace. As Skylar calmed down, Draco ushered them over to the bench and sat down. She sat crisscross facing him and he sat with one leg pulled up to his chest. “I’m sorry about the dirt on your shirt.” Skylar took off the gloves to wipe her own eyes. Draco shrugged. Setting the gloves in her lap the two did not meet each other’s eyes. Afraid of what to say next.
“Draco-”
“Skylar-”
The two cut each other off, followed by a short chuckled from either. Replaced by the silence once again. Skylar was the first to look two Draco. Catching sight of his family signet ring. He wished and practically begged to wear it when he was younger. Lucius Malfoy instructed that Draco would get it when he was older and ready for it. Ready. Ready for the burden that comes with it. Looking up more Skylar observed his paler skin and sunken eyes. Was he skinnier? She couldn’t tell, he was always skinny, but she wouldn’t be surprised if he had lost weight. She had done the same, she couldn’t stomach any food made with the horrors she saw. “Finally go dad’s ring hmm?”
Draco looked to her then to the ring, using his other hand to try and hide it. It didn’t work when Skylar grabbed his hand. It was Draco’s turn to try and shy away from her touch. Her grip only tightened on his hand. Her grip relaxed when Draco relaxed his hand. Her hand was soft, fingers trailed along his hand, flipping it to trace the lines on his palm. He could tell she was concentrating on not looking too deeply. “Yeah…”
Skylar held his hand and ran her index finger over the M. “Malfoy…”
“Ashcroft,” Draco snarked back to her. He smirked over to her hoping to raise her spirits. He saw her roll her eyes and smile at his attempt. It worked. “I got it just after I got the other thing.”
“My father took the gloves after I got the other thing,” The two of them knew what the other was talking about, but refused to speak publicly about it, even to each other. “Those were a sense of protection for me...”
“I’ll protect you Skylar.” Skylar dropped Draco’s hand and looked taken back.  “I hope you know that… I’ll protect you. And it’s not just because were arranged to be married.” Skylar laughed at the last comment.
“I’m sure by now you realized I don’t need protecting.”
“I’m very much aware of that, but I just wanted you to know that.” Draco put his leg down and turned to fully face Skylar. Taking her hands in his own, his thumbs brushing over her knuckles. “I needed you to know that. You have been my longest friend, the one person whose always been there for me. Listened to me and accepted all of my flaws… you know there are many… the least I can do is protect you. I promise that Skylar…” Abruptly Draco let go of her hands and took off his signet ring. He turned one of her hands palm up and stuck the ring in her hand. He closed her hand with his own and took a deep sigh of relief when he saw her loving gaze meet his eyes.
“Draco Malfoy, you just gave me your ring-” She giggled and took a moment to compose herself for the major conversation. They were in a war and giving a declaration like that one need to be taken seriously. Skylar moved on hand behind her head and pulled loose the red bow. Her hair fell free framing her face. “You have been my longest friend and didn’t care about the differences in my family. And when I told you about this gift I have you did not let it change your opinion of me. I could not have asked anyone to take the risks you have taken for me. This is my promise to you, I will protect you.” Skylar grabbed Draco’s hand once more and rolled up his sleeve. She saw the dark mark staining his skin. Her fingers traced it before she tied her bow around his wrist. “There, now if we are forced apart, we have a part of each other.” Skylar slid the Malfoy signet around ring finger. The ring was charmed to fit the finger it was placed on and it sized to fit Skylar’s digit. Skylar smiled at the ring on her finger, and the bow on Draco’s wrist.
Skylar was the first to move next, shifting on the bench to be closer to Draco. He sat frozen, from both fear and tension. He knew Skylar cared for or still fancied Potter, but when she leaned her forehead against his own. The thought disappeared. The two closed their eyes both of their breaths shaky, waiting for the other to act.
“Thank you,” She whispered to him.
“For what?” He whispered back, his voice low and husky.
“For being you.” She laughed softly, her hand suddenly cupping his cheek to lean in and kissed his warm lips. It was gentle and yet another gift. Pulling apart their eyes met, and their breaths were shallow.
Unable to take it anymore, Draco grabbed Skylar’s head in his hands and pulled her back against his lips. Skylar matched his passion and kissed him back just as hard. For the first time in what seemed forever, Skylar’s every thought was obliterated. Her mind was not locked into the future, but the present. This very second. Everything else disappeared. Draco’s hand found its way around the back of Skylar’s neck urging to deepen the kiss. She followed his lead and moved closer to him one of her hands pressed against his chest. Draco’s arms snaked around her waist pulling her closer. Skylar got his signals and had moved to straddle him.
Suddenly the room was engulfed in light and the door swung open. They broke apart as quick as the room lit up being caught in an awkward situation. Both of them flushed and couldn’t meet the eyes of who walked in.
“Mr. Malfoy, I suggest you take the portkey home before I do something rash,” Skylar decided to be brave and look to see her Father standing in the greenhouse. The lights exposed his own dark circles and age lines. Skylar and Draco stood off the bench their hands intertwined and remained still, in shock that Nathaniel had ventured into the greenhouse. “Now Mr. Malfoy.” Draco realized if he didn’t go then, it would have ended poorly. He walked forward and let Skylar’s hand slip through his fingertips. “Goodnight, Mr. Malfoy.”
“Good evening, sir.” Draco muttered, refusing to meet Nathaniel’s eyesight fear of the scornful look he was no doubt giving him. At the doorway Draco looked back to see Skylar staring at him. He saw a slight scared look in her eyes, for him and for herself. “Goodnight, Skylar.”
“Goodnight, Draco,” Skylar whispered in response, watching Draco leave the greenhouse. Once he was out of sight Skylar looked back to the floor, and for comfort fiddled with the signet ring now adorning her finger.
“Skylar,” Nathaniel said, pointing to the manor. “Get inside the house. Now.” She did not need to be told more than once. She quickly moved passed her father and into their house.
Nathaniel took a deep breath smelling the many plants and flower that grew in the greenhouse. All pulled at his heart, reminding him of Renee. He loved that his children kept them alive- if only he had done the same for Renee. Pulling his wand from his coat pocket Nathaniel took one last breath and look around. “Goodnight, my love… Nox.” Shutting the door behind him the greenhouse darkened slowly. A shadowy figure stood among the flowers. Dark hair cascading down her back and a smile on her lips. She let the tears fall from her eyes, slowly disappearing into the shadows.
