That skin care post really reminds me when I had bad skin for 15 years of my life and all the good skin people were like “it’s all the products that are making your skin bad! I just use soap!” and I was like “no I swear my skin is bad and the products are somewhat managing the badness” and then at 27 my skin literally just cleared up on its own no break outs at all. ever. and now sometimes for days at a time I just wash my face and put on sunscreen (for days on end) and my skin is still perfect. Those girls were just living like this the whole time and were gaslighting me

i do hate the way people talk about john sometimes where it’s like ‘people excuse deans canonical abuse but hate john for fanonical abuse!’ (am not vaguing anyone particular i just see it a lot. i’ve probably said this too icl) like i agree with what that’s essentially saying but john is also canonically abusive. leaving young kids alone in motel rooms for days on end is neglect which is abuse. him putting them in danger via them going out on hunts at all is abuse. and those are the most basic canonical factoids of his character

also ill say this, i really don't care if starscream is mean or cruel to the terrans, i don't care if he's a villain, i don't care if he's bad to the maltos, i don't give a fuck if he's mean to megatron, i don't care if his relationship with hashtag falls to pieces.

all i really care about and hope for is that he is a good leader to the decepticons and that his relationship with them changes. i don't want him to be a good person or an autobot, and i prefer him to be a villain. all i care about tho is that he and the decepticons have a better relationship, and he actually cares about them.

the bg3 fanbase is funny as fuck in a bad way for primarily shipping gale, who is the most garrulous man you can imagine, with astarion, whom gale goes "uh 😐 not really looking to talk with you man" at when prompted for conversation, and not with wyll, whose party admission gets a "gale approves" and then they proceed to compliment each other 24/7.

update: i think ship wars are stupid as fuck + this is about something very different. a very notable problem not just among the general bg3 and d&d fan circles but among certain fans of this sort of fantasy genre as a whole.
