You and Peter had just finished a small movie marathon on the couch when the idea of baking crossed your mind. You roll over to face your boyfriend sleeping peacefully behind you, snuggled into your back.

You felt cruel about the idea of waking him up -he just looked cute and peaceful- but the thought of fresh baked goods deemed more significant, so you gently prod him awake.

"Peter... Peter, baby," you whisper, softly waking him with a kiss on the forehead. 

"What? What? You okay?" Peter replies, looking over you with sleepy, squinted eyes. "How long was I asleep?" 

"Probably thirty minutes," you smile, kissing his cheek. "Now that you're awake... I really, really, really want brownies."

He abruptly sits up, slightly perky at the thought. "I could destroy a tray of brownies right now."

"Good, me too," you grin, standing up and pulling Quill to his feet, dragging him through the living room. 

You and Peter move around the kitchen to collect all the ingredients, fetching everything from their designated cabinet space and filling the counter.

You work together as a team- like you're sharing one mind, swiftly moving around the kitchen to Peter's playlist. You take turns to do the 'fun parts', one of you whisking while the other measures, swapping after adding each ingredient. 

After a little while, everything came together, and it was time to bake. Peter held the bowl at an angle while you scooped the brownie batter into the tray, scraping the edges with the spatula before quickly sneaking a taste. 

Quill notices and dramatically inhales, eyes wide with agape mouth, watching you. "You can't do that—that's not fair,"

"Just checking that it wasn't poisonous, babe. I'm being a good girlfriend," you shrug, scraping the bowl once more before guiding it up to Peter, waving it in front of him as if to tempt him. "It's safe to eat now. It's all good."

"Well, ain't you just so thoughtful," he grins, leaning over to kiss your lips, tasting the batter from you before snatching the utensil from your grasp.

Your smile widens, watching his sweet features mirror yours, almost lightening up as you look at each other. You shift your gaze away first, kissing him once more before parting- placing the tray in the oven. 

You begin to put everything away while Peter 'cleans' the bowl, clearing the residual batter and licking it clean when you turn around- thinking you hadn't noticed. But you did, the small patch of brown on the corner of his mouth a clear giveaway. 

"Got a little something," you tease, pointing to his lips. 

"Come lick it off me," he grins, stalking forward.

"Behave," you playfully dismiss, wiping it with your thumb and licking the crumb of batter. 

And as you waited for your goods to cook, you and Peter danced around the small kitchen- your hands in his larger ones as he guided you with little, shuffle-like steps, slowly swaying to the music.

Hetch tutorial part 2! The rest of him.

Quick Disclaimer, this is by no means valuable information for anyone wanting to learn anatomy or how to draw on their own in any way. Simply my hyper stylized way of drawing my AU version of this character. So some of my steps are probably wrong. Got that? Okay!

I like to start generally by drawing a little stick figure to help me pose him. Then, I draw the torso and hips. The torso is kind of a mix between a triangle and a rectangle, while his hips are a rectangle. Attach them and draw the head (see head tutorial)

When drawing the limbs I like to draw the calves and forearms first. I don't know, I just like it. This is not accurate to how I draw his arms when he's not wearing a coat because I like to actually define the musculature then. But just making them kind of thicc is enough when I'm putting him in his coat. You don't need to worry too much about how his thighs look because his coat covers them.

Erase all unnecessary lines and start drawing the coat!

Erase the parts of the body covered by the fabric and you can (optionally) begin to sketch out the design on the coat.

As you can see, the way I draw Hetch for this AU is a little different from his cannon design. This is because I was planning on having Hetch's appearance change as the story moved on and his initial design is how he behaves before all of the unpleasantness takes full route and also because it was hard to find references of him initially. As you can see, his coat markings are meant to be similar to circuit board lines, but not so much that it's something you have to pay extra close attention to.

Finally, do the line art and color him in!

Reading The lnheritance Games rn and here are some of my opinions rambles and LOTS of fangirling(don't say that l didn't warn you)

The guy Avery used to play chess with,Darry(or was it Garry?lm too lazy to look it up)he's going to have a bigger role later on.As someone who has read lots of books in this genre l have a rough idea abt how the story moves along after reading a few chapters (I think most of us do)

Nash is soo underrated.He may not be as intriguing as Jameson or Grayson but come on this man has a specific charm to him. lm soo excited to see more of him and Libby.l don't know wth is wrong with me,you know your love life is messed up when you ship your crush(tho he may be fictional) with another woman. I get you guys are rightfully obsessed with Jameson and Grayson but give Nash and Xander some love too

And speaking abt Xander i absolutely love him i mean he's just soo bbg.Xander and l are besties in another universe.Hes my comfort character in this series and lm soo looking forward to his character development cuz l am pretty sure that there is more to him than a guy obsessed with scones.He and Libby are my favs

Coming to Libby l absolutely love her.Im soo excited to witness the dynamics between her and Nash.She deserves him 100%.And that son of a beach Drake can just go rot in hell.I feel that Libby isn't exactly being delulu in her relationship with Drake,she tells Avery that her mom used to beat her when she was young.Clearly she grew up in an abusive/toxic household and toxic parents or people in general have a way of convincing others that they are behaving like sheet to them because they "love" that person.So my bbg was clearly manipulated from a young age and when she grew up and found herself in an abusive relationship with a person who justifies his toxicity she couldn't help fall for it bcoz that was just how she grew up.Honestly this breaks my heart, don't be toxic guys it's sad,depressing and frustrating.

I see a lot of "team Grayson" and "team Jameson" stuff going on here and frankly lm on neither.Bcoz l think comparing two characters with two different personalities and perceptions is not fair.Both of them have good qualities and bad qualities.Though initially l didn't like Grayson.At.All.But now l am warming up.l an pretty sure there is loads more to him than we know of.

And now coming to the juicy relationship part...Tbh l don't have a clue if Avery would end up with Jameson or Grayson(since she's obviously gonna end up with either of them.)One part of me thinks that it's going to be Grayson and the other things that it's going to be Jameson(maybe I'll make a seperate post on that.)

Rhaela is known as this blood thirsty woman that will tear down anyone in her path. Her eyes are rumored to be red like blood and contain a certain darkness always in them that makes them unnerving to look at. People think of her as this deranged woman that's would've been better off being born a man and sent to war. They say she is incapable of behaving like a proper lady and holds no care in her heart. The rumors only somewhat change after her marriage to Vaemond, though they swear she's gotten worse. She has. She now has people to protect.

It never ceases to surprise and amaze people when they see how she interacts with her husband and army of children. She's so sweet, caring and nothing at all like the fire breathing woman people say she is... until someone gets too close to what's hers. Within the first year of their marriage, she had killed a handmaiden that tried to seduce Vaemond in exchange for extra coin. One time a septa slapped her child for not learning the lesson fast enough... let's not say what she did to her...

Her children are watched like a hawk, especially around Jacaerys and Lucerys which is a new feeling since she always tolerated them for Laenor's sake. When she heard of what happened to Aemond, she only thanked the Valyrian gods for that not happening to her child. If she were in Alicent's place, she would've gutted those little boys for even scratching her child Vaemond has to tell her to calm down as she gets angered just imagining her children harmed in such a way. He's a little afraid for anyone that dares anger her in the future and tries teaching her less violent methods. They don't work.

The only time anyone can say she's been "pleasant" to them, is during her last month of her pregnancies. She's much too overjoyed about the upcoming birth of her child(ren) to be bothered scaring people off. Though that isn't to say she's not ready to go postal and fuck things up the second her babies (including Vaemond that's her bbg) have any problems. — 👑💀

ok but here’s the thing as soon as tnp arrives we lose every last drop of sandstorms remaining personality

like this is controversial but i think the erins did a good job in continuing firestars blatant obliviousness and questionable decision making through to the second arc, keeping with his core personality traits even though he’s not the main character anymore

but sandstorm, my god, wtf did they DO to her? like bbg had already lost 75% of her core personality traits by the time tpb wrapped up, mostly due to being mates w fire, but even tho she was more of a background character in tnp they could’ve at least given her a smudge of personality that separated her from the vanilla characters like brackenfur and thornclaw (no hate to those goofies i still stan)

real ones know i’ve already made a rant about sandstorm back when i was a warriors foetus and still halfway through TPB, but i can’t keep away from this subject because it’s like the erins are TRYING to piss me off

they could’ve done so much with sandstorm! they could’ve shown how her relationship with dustpelt had changed since their apprenticeship, how she behaved when her authority was threatened (because we all know she does NOT like feeling inferior), how she felt about the main plotlines etc etc

ik we aren’t gonna get chapters of sandstorm, we’re not gonna have intricate plotlines involving her anymore, but at least give me a conversation that lasts more than two sentences sometimes?! like i’ve not read POT yet so idk if she gets better, but the best i’ve gotten from her in TNP was “don’t worry firestar, i’m sure they’ll return safely” like WHERE IS THE SANDSTORM WHO WOULDVE BEEN LIKE “ayo firebitch get off your depressed ass and do sm for once in your goddamn life you’re fuckin leader not some weakass kit who can’t look after themself now go touch some grass you mopey wanker being emo isn’t making your kids come back”

she used to have so much personality in the early books, like she was proud and stubborn and very very pro-clanborn (maybe not the best thing)! when i used to picture sandstorm, i pictured this badass, headstrong, iconic apprentice who was pretty rude but also amazing, now i just think “oh yeah that’s firestars mate, she’s…nice”

tbh i just wish they would’ve done more with sandstorm
