Headcannons that carry over to almost every if not every DP au I think of (most if not all of them are DP/DC aus)
Danny and Jazz took dance classes when they were little, and Danny was always a dance prodigy. He can dance flawlessly on pointe and can do any style, though Danny and Jazz's main focus was ballet when they took dance classes. They still know a lot about most dance styles.
Danny and Jazz also took figure skating lessons growing up, but only in winter. They both still practice every time they go ice skating.
Danny is trans.
Danny and Paulina are dance partners (or were dance partners before Danny left Amity Park)
Paulina has dragon powers because of the incident with Dorothea's necklace.
Sam has dragon powers because of that incident as well, but hers are weaker due to less exposure.
Sam also has plant powers because of the thing that happened with Undergrowth.
Paulina and Sam both have dragon instincts because of their dragon powers. This means they are both VERY protective.
Ghost hearing is on the same level as kryptonian hearing. When Danny first became a halfa, everything was too loud for him to understand and sounded like white noise. Danny, Sam, and Tucker all started learning sign language shortly after the accident because of this. If Jazz didn't already know sign language, she quickly noticed that Danny wasn't understanding anything he was hearing and started learning sign language as well.
Ghost speech is not a language. It is a power that allows ghosts to understand and speak any and every language fluently, whether they've heard it before or not. But it's like learning every language with the time and effort it takes to learn 1. The power still needs to be practiced for ghosts to use it well. It's a skill.
Danny knew a few languages even before he died, so it was easier for him to learn ghost speech than it was for other ghosts who have that power.
Dani goes by Ellie because it didn't feel like she had her own name when she went by Dani.
Danny and Ellie both have fangs.
Danny and Ellie need more iron in their diets than any human.
Danny is 4 feet tall and will stay that height forever.
Ellie is at least 6 feet tall when fully grown because her growth wasn't stunted like Danny's.
Jazz is TALL
Danny is touch starved af but REFUSES to ask for affection.
Jazz is touch starved too, but not nearly as much as Danny, and her communication about wanting affection is slightly better than Danny's.
Danny gave Ellie a stuffed raccoon shortly after they met. Ellie named it Travis.
Ellie refuses to say the word "raccoon." They are Trash Pandas and that is what she calls them.
Danny has a giant panda plush that was given to him by 1 or both of his sisters.
Jazz has a stuffed red panda that Danny and Ellie worked together to get for her.
Danny is bisexual.
Sam is a lesbian.
Jazz is either a lesbian, bi with a preference for women, or aroace. (Lesbian in most of the aus I think of.)
John Constantine is Danny and Jazz's pseudo uncle, "Uncle JC," who they weren't allowed to see or talk to anymore after he got into a fight with Jack and Maddie about ghosts when Danny was 12. (This 1 is more specific to dp/dc, but most, if not all, of the dp aus I think of are dp/dc.)
I don't talk about these enough, but these are the headcannons going through my head with every, or almost every, story idea I come up with. I think I've mentioned all of these on discord at some point. I don't post all the story ideas I come up with, but many float in and out of my head and repeatedly come back. Sometimes, a possible story idea will be floating around in my head for weeks, and I won't write anything down or talk about it or post about it, and then eventually I either send it to the discord server to talk about, or post it on tumblr. Usually discord. But I only talk about the ones that I can put into clear enough words to talk about them.

if you're answering questions about WIPs I read the summary for your *escape* one and holyshit that sounds good. "The ghost zone haunts Danny right back" is such a baller concept. It's listed as Horror and I'm not much for that genre but I'm hella intrigued and I'd love to hear more. (Especially like. How do the aliens know about halfas?)
Fun fact about this story, the title is originally meant to be escape with the last e flipped upside down but it looked funky on the Tumblr post, so it's only that way for my WIP doc XD
I'll admit I'm not super into horror either, but if you've read one of my current WIPs called bones and all, it's a little similar in that regards that it has horror elements and for escape I'm definitely trying for the soft horror. But it's mainly a psychological thriller on Danny's side of things.
There is a lot of worldbuilding to this fic, which is part of the reason why it remains as an unreleased WIP and I haven't uploaded the first chapter yet. But something that I strongly headcanon, and I try to make a point of when I can, is that humans are not the only ghosts that exist. You'll know this, you were very passionate in replying to my newest one-shot Lament for the Soul. But humans are not the only ghosts, and that's why I try to stray away from calling Danny's civilian form "human" because even as a ghost he's still human he's just dead- but enough about that.
For dpxdc crossover fics, we tend to include headcanons/fanon that there are natural portals that appear on Earth. This headcanon, coupled with the idea that there have been previous, natural halfas in the world, led me to thinking that there could have been other halfas that were not human. So there could have been Kryptonian halfas or Martian halfas, as just a few examples. Obviously their stories have either been lost to time, they were never known to have existed, or they were mistaken as something else. (Which would be understandable, in the case of Martians since ghosts have a very similar skill set, but I digress.)
This then led me into thinking that, hey, if other halfas existed, then it's entirely possible that other worlds and species could have known about them and made it a cultural phenomenon or gave it religious significance.
In the case of escape, the alien species mentioned in this summary has a very deep connection to their deceased ancestors. The biological ecosystem of their planet is closely tied to the Infinite Realms, so when the planet starts failing, and crops don't grow, and the weather turns turbulent, they begin to suspect that something is wrong in the Infinite Realms. They hold seances to their ancestors and ask them for advice on what needs to be done, and their ancestors tell them of the only living halfa (aka Danny) who could help them. They say he comes from a planet called Earth, and thus, the aliens go there looking for his help.
The "Ghost Zone haunts Danny right back" is essentially Danny dealing with the problems within the Infinite Realms that has been affecting this alien species. Although, of course, he has no idea that these two things are connected. This AU specifically also does lean into my beloved medium!Danny headcanons, so Danny has vision/nightmares and other things I'll save for later.
This story has a lot of worldbuilding, like I said. So... Hopefully it will eventually see the light of day. XD

Saw the new chapter, nice! BTW, how would the various characters celebrate Pride Month?
Apologies, I've been busy with last chapter's reviews!
Wowza, that's a huge ask - I've made a conscious effort to normalize LGBTQIA+ identities in my stories, so there's a lot of ground to cover here! There's also a minor issue in that most of the current stories are set in 2012, which is quite a different landscape in regards to the acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community compared to nowadays.
With that in mind, I'll try to go for the "ideal" celebration (and I'll throw in the characters' gender identities and sexual preferences, since I've already got those in my ongoing character database). Obviously, this only applies to the characters as portrayed in the Kryptonverse!
(This is a long one, so I'll add a "read more" thingy for the sake of those who aren't interested.)
- I think Luz would take Pride Month as an opportunity to more overtly explore her gender noncomformity; much like was showcased in the Grom episode, she might try on different outfit combinations, different pronouns - whatever makes her feel closer to her ideal self. I think her stint in the Boiling Isles would only make it that much clearer how truly silly it is for other people to try and dictate what she should look or behave like. Luz currently identifies as a bisexual, cisgender woman, but she has found comfort in identifying as nonbinary in the past, and there's really no telling how she might feel in the future.
- Kryptonian society had a great many issues, but a resistance towards gender variance and non-heterosexual preferences wasn't one of them - as long as you followed the strict life path set up for you by the Empire, of course. Kara is still confused about the human attitudes towards this subject, and angry that they affected Alex and Lena negatively in their youth. I think she'd celebrate Pride Month by pushing the Avengers to champion causes that protect the LGBTQIA+ community - not that they need much convincing. Think parades, lobbying for legislation, impassioned speeches, and million-dollar donations to worthy charities - whatever it takes to make sure people know where their heroes stand on this issue. Kara is a pansexual cisgender woman, Alex and Lena are lesbian cisgender women, Tony is a pansexual cisgender man, Steve is a (closeted) bisexual cisgender man, Natasha is an aromantic, bisexual, cisgender woman, Clint is a biromantic, heterosexual, cisgender man, and Rhodey and Bruce are both heterosexual, cisgender men (the Hulk himself is pansexual though).
- Not that Ben was against it before, of course, but I think gaining the ability to swap bodies (and genders, depending on the transformation) at will would give him a much greater appreciation for people who suffer from dysmorphia or otherwise don't gel with the body they were born with. I think he'd champion trans causes specifically during Pride Month - much to the anger of his parents, both conservative politicians. Ben is a bisexual, cisgender man, Julie is a bisexual, cisgender woman, Kevin is a heterosexual, cisgender man, and Gwen is a (currently questioning) bisexual, cisgender woman.
- It's kind of a spoiler to talk at length about Chloé's relationship with her own preferences. Suffice it to say, she would be very much opposed to Pride celebrations initially, but may or may not radically change her attitude as her journey goes on. Chloé is a lesbian, cisgender woman. Adrien is a bisexual, cisgender man (with GNC tendencies as he grows up), and Marinette is a bisexual, cisgender woman.
- Nico obviously didn't grow up in an environment conducive to the acceptance of his being gay. I think there's still a lot of internal self-loathing there, even as his boyfriend and his friends have greatly helped to coax him away from it, and that might manifest as his reluctance to participate in Pride celebrations. I think once he's convinced to attend a Pride parade once, though, it would make a world of difference going forward! Nico is a gay, cisgender man.
- Ellie has never given much thought to her own identity or preferences. She's felt attracted to all kinds of people, but never enough to want to act on it. It's possible that she's aro/ace, or somewhere on that spectrum, but even that feels like an ill-fitting piece of clothing. She is fiercely protective of Danny, though; poking fun or attacking him for being trans is a surefire way to make her go all out against you. She'll happily celebrate Pride with Danny and friends, too. Ellie doesn't currently subscribe to any romantic or sexual preference, but does identify as a cisgender woman. Valerie is a bisexual, cisgender woman. Danny is a heterosexual, transgender man.
- Pidge used to comfortably identify as a straight, cis woman, but her stint as Pidge Gunderson and the subsequent massive expansion of her knowledge of gender identities and sexual preferences due to her travels as a Paladin of Voltron have let her more solidly (ironically) identify as genderfluid and pansexual. She'd have a blast teaching Allura and Coran all about Earth Pride celebrations, and I'm sure she's eager to teach the people of Earth just how little they know about what's out there. Pidge is a genderfluid, pansexual individual (identified as female during Close Encounters, but don't let that fool you!).
- Saiyans have a weird relationship with gender and sexual preference. The average Saiyan is mostly free to do and be whatever the f*ck they want in this regard, but there is definitely a culture of male superiority, and a stigma towards trans Saiyan men, specifically - it's seen by traditionalists as "women trying to rise above their station", much in the same way as marrying between Saiyan classes is scorned. Caulifla and Kale don't have that kind of baggage, though, growing up on Xandar - their dithering about being with each other is just your classic awkward teenage romance, nothing to do with their both being women. Caulifla and Kale both identify as lesbian, cisgender women.
- Dipper may be a straight man, but he's the best damned ally you could hope for - fiercely protective of his pansexual twin and bisexual girlfriend. He's got every opposing argument memorized, and a counterargument ready to go - you do not want to debate him, and he will track your ass down if he catches you trolling/hating online. Mabel becomes even more of a living vortex of glitter and gloss during Pride - sweeping away the more muted Tulip, who'll happily settle for a little bisexual flag pin or sticker on her computer. Hard not to find Mabel's enthusiasm infectious, though! Dipper is a heterosexual, cisgender man, Mabel is a pansexual, cisgender woman, and Tulip is a bisexual, cisgender woman.
That was a lot! I hope it was an enjoyable read, though! @the-literary-lord
