older brother touya au, endeavor is still an asshole, shouto interacts w his siblings lol, bby shouto, hyper active kinda rough reader (you tackle shouto), shouto and touya have an unspecified age gap but i was thinkin like 10 years (so touya is 17 and shou is 7), just a liiiil bit angsty but mostly fluffy, lemme know if i missed sum else !
Tumblr media
touya knows his little brother shouto is kinda weird.
he rarely ever sees him happy, or with any sort of emotion on his face for that matter. he has little habits that he hates not being able to follow and he's incredibly nit picky about them. he doesn't outwardly emote but that doesn't mean he couldn't be bratty when he wanted to be, cus he is but that's also about super specific weird stuff like what he wants to have for dinner (which always ends up being cold soba anyways).
he's also not much of a talker. he's a little shy, but he also just doesn't like talking. it's impossible to miss the huge red scar around his eye, he doesn't like to play outside and roughhouse like touya did when he was his age and he still doesn't have any friends at school. shouto never seemed to be bothered by it, though touya assumes that his peers might find him weird too.
except they better not, because touya's the only one who can call his brother weird. and deep down, he worries a little for him.
until he comes back home from school, his sweater is tucked out and there's a dirt stain on it. his hair is messy and his backpack is haphazardly closed, his little notebooks propped inside and his pencil case threatening to fall out.
natsuo, the one charged to pick him up that day, sheepishly scratches at his neck "he won't tell me what happened to him." he explains as touya practically charges towards shouto, he doesn't look hurt, so his older brother roughly turns him around to check his bag.
" but i told you what happened, natsu-nii."
"you don't have to lie, shouto--"
"what happened to you ?" touya cuts in, looking inside his brothers bag to check if nothing was missing, it looks intact from what he can tell.
"i played with my friend." shouto says simply, like that explains why he looked like he'd just walked through a hurricane. touya already knows he's gonna get an earful about this from his father. he inwardly groans.
"you sure your friend didn't just mug you ?" he flips his brother around and shouto's little arms flail as he does, unbothered by his brother's rough treatment. he tilts his head, touya sighs.
"bully you, i mean."
shouto's eyes widen, then he hurriedly shakes his head, denying him ever getting bullied and simply claiming he was playing. touya shares a look with natsuo, who looks just as unconvinced as him at his brothers words.
"who's this friend of yours, shou ?"
"yn."
"yn ?" both brothers say at the same time. shouto nods and touya catches a small little glint in his eyes as he looks back at him "she's really nice."
"this doesn't seem nice. you look like you got robbed." touya furrows his brows, sneering at his brothers dirty shirt. he starts dragging the youngest toward the bathroom. hopefully he'd be fully clean before their father got home and he wouldn't have to get in trouble. for god knows what reason. enji todoroki would probably find a way to place the blame on him, something about how he should've been the one to pick him up or gotten there earlier he guesses.
"yn likes to play games where you move around a lot." is what he offers as explanation. touya hums absentmindedly as he ushers his brother into the bathroom, deciding on how he should deal with his youngest brother's first ever bully. because of the age gap he doubts the kid is any smaller than his brother is, so he thinks he'll probably just try to scare off whoever this yn is.
"how 'bout i pick you up from school tomorrow and i can meet yn. that sound good ?" and shouto excitedly nods at the idea, gushing about how funny and nice you are and that you share your snacks with him. it's weird how fondly he talks about his bully, but touya knows his brother's always been a little weird, he probably has no idea what's happening to him. the thought makes him frown just a bit harder.
the next day after school, touya is already at the gates before they've even opened ready to scare the pants off of his brothers harasser. he sees shouto walking out of the gates with a few other kids, alone. the little boy perks up once he sees him and sends him a high wave, which touya returns with one of his own lazier one's.
"where's your friend ?" he tries his best not the spit the word too venomously, shouto doesn't seem to notice.
"yn is coming. her bag isn't closing well, so she told me to go ahead without her." he explains, reaching for his brother's hand absentmindedly.
touya is about to respond when he hears yelling. yelling that gets closer and closer to them until he notices too late that a little person is rushing towards his brother. before he can pull him out of the way the person has jumped onto shouto and knocked the both of them onto the ground. and touya watches flabbergasted as his younger brother does not look surprised at all, like shit like this just happened every tuesday. his mouth falls open when the little girl that had charged into his brother excitedly starts hopping slightly on top of him.
"shouto !"
"hi, yn."
touya is going to fucking lose his mind.
you get closer to shouto's face still sitting on him, touya assumes to make sure he could hear you even thought he doubts he couldn't before. " i thought ya left without me, i couldn't see you !"
shouto shakes his head, still on the floor "i said i would wait for you." he says seriously. and you practically beam, nudging your cheek to his and rubbing it against his affectionately. shouto doesn't seem fazed by it, but he definitely doesn't seem angry.
you don't seem like a bully, at least.
you finally realise you're not alone, looking up at touya strangely "who're you ?" you ask bluntly. shouto responds before he could. "touya- nii's my older brother, he's the one i wanted to show you."
you don't seem like a bully, especially not when you immediately turn to shouto the moment he opens his mouth, holding onto every word you hear. your eyes widen looking between touya and him, "that's your brother ?!" shouto nods proudly. you finally get off of him allowing shouto to get up too.
"coool !" you exclaim, but then you quickly turn towards shouto " but you're cooler, shouto !" shouto's eyes widen, before he almost bashfully looks away, claiming that his touya-nii is was way cooler than him. touya has never seen his brother this expressive before. it might not be much for others, and if he were anybody else he'd think so too. but even the fact his brows raise when you speak and he actually engages in conversation with you, as short as he keeps it, is surprising.
but from that small interaction, he can assume that you're not a bully. and he understands why his brother looked like he got jumped yesterday.
you're so much more different then him though, it's weird. you're hyper and giggly and chatty. you jump around and you can't seem to pull yourself away from shouto, who really doesn't seem unhappy although you're a bit rough about it. it’s like you’re glued to him.
shouto who barely even talks to his family talks to easily with you, even though you start the conversation all the time. shouto who only ever eats cold soba gleams at your promise to bring more snacks to share with him, like you apparently do every day. and shouto who touya barely ever sees emote, smiles when you tell him something funny. he can't tell wether his little brother smiles because he actually finds what you said funny or because you do. but whatever it is, it's making him happy.
touya is so shocked simply staring at his brother interact with another human being that he fails to use the little 'leave my brother alone if you know what's good for you.' speech he'd practiced the night before and suddenly you have to go. waving at him and shouto (not before hugging him with all your might first), who sadly waves back as he watches you leave. though he cheers up just a bit when with a last wave you tell him that you'll see him tomorrow.
touya, despite not having said a word feels incredibly tired, so he starts pulling his brother along home with him.
"so..that was your friend."
shouto nods "yn." he says.
"yn." touya parrots, eyes drifting from his brother to the road ahead of him. "she's kinda weird, huh ?"
at that, shouto's eyebrows furrow hard and he furiously shakes his head, tugging at his brother’s hand "no. she's nice." he corrects adamantly. touya stares at his brother, before looking away again "right.." he sighs "well, she seems to like you a lot."
his little brother nods again, a faint smile forms on his face "cus the people in class are mean to her. cus she's new and they say she's weird, but i don't think she is." he rambles, he actually rambles, touya blinks. he doesn't think he's ever been more surprised than he's been today. "yeah ?" is all he utters.
"yeah. people think i'm weird too, but yn says she thinks i'm cool." touya's eyes soften at his brothers words. he raises his arm up so his little brother is slightly lifted in the air. "course you're cool, you're my little brother." smiling softly to himself when shouto giggles.
touya knows that his little brother is weird, but he doesn't have to be worried anymore. cus it seems you like him, that you think he's cool and that you're weird too, in your own way. shouto keeps coming back home with dirty clothes and messy hair after that, but with happy and satisfied eyes and little candies he shares with his siblings that he made them promise to keep a secret. and he thinks his little brother will be fine, as weird as he is.

slowly, surely — ft. todoroki touya
Tumblr media
touya’s body heals one day at a time, slowly but surely. he and his brother bridge the gap along the way, slowly but surely. you like to think maybe, there’s a good chance he’ll live a life outside of just dying now
before you read: fem reader ; chapter 426 spoilers ; established relationship ; post war ; touya lives and his body heals idc ; todoroki family dynamics ; fluff and healing
Tumblr media
You never thought you’d meet his family.
Touya’s family files in every day through the door for weeks into his room after the war. You’re introduced to the people you never thought you’d formally meet in an unlikely circumstance.
It’s difficult at first. Touya can only speak for a few minutes at a time every day. You have to share the sparse, little time you have to see him with the rest of his family. But you suppose it’s not so bad. You get a glimpse of the kind of brother Touya could have been, a side him you never got to see.
He’s teasing—makes a well-timed slightly inappropriate joke at Natsuo’s expense regarding his wedding. The blush on his brother’s face and the chastising click of his mother’s teeth makes you smile a bit. He pretends to be bored when Fuyumi rambles about her new students, but he listens attentively—you know because it surprises you all when he brings up a student she mentions in passing weeks ago. He’s a bad influence, too—his suggestions for Shouto to cheat earn a wilting glare from you that makes him concede begrudgingly.
Despite it all, you like to think Touya could have been a good brother. Can be a good brother. You don’t lose hope that maybe, amongst all the rubble, a small, fertile patch of soil exists.
It takes weeks. Months. Close to a year, even. One healer turns to two, two turns to three, and eventually, there’s a handful of the best healing quirks slowly trying to fix his charred, weakened body. Your eyes fill with tears the first time you see the swell of his round cheek restored, earning a huff and roll of his eyes.
Always so damn emotional, he grunts. He closes his eyes and relishes in your touch when you stroke the skin with your finger, though.
His skin is never quite the same. That much, you expected. It’s better than it ever was before, though. No more staples holding him together. No more deep purple and rubbery skin. It’s textured and discolored, but not nearly as rough as it used to be. You don’t care what he looks like, of course. As long as he’s with you and breathing you’re content—but he seems happy with the results.
He starts to feel whole again.
His family never stops visiting, either. (Except for his father—you promptly tell him his presence is no longer required one day. He nods like he understands. As though he can understand. It enrages you, but he offers you a quiet thank you before he leaves. Thank you for taking care of my son. You hate him more after that—for being appreciative that you now do what he couldn’t).
He gets moved to a proper hospital bed eventually. There are still tubes and needles hooked up to him—he’s not too happy about that. It makes sharing a bed with you hard. But he settles for letting you rest your head against his thigh, hand clutching his.
It’s as good as it gets for now.
Slowly, surely, Touya for the first time, doesn’t head for death. Slowly, surely, for the first time, he starts to heal.
————
“Is Touya-nii sleeping?”
“No,” you smile, turning to Shouto as he walks up to you, “he’s in there. Bored, actually.”
Shouto bends down, grabs the snack that drops from the vending machine for you and hands it to you.
Touya is right. He was raised to be a kind boy.
“I brought soba,” he says quietly. “I heard he can have solid food now.”
“He’ll appreciate it,” you beam.
Shouto lingers. You smile gently and take the hint, joining him and walking alongside the boy and make your way to Touya’s room.
It hits you then, all at once. Shouto has never spent a moment with his brother alone. Not properly, at least—not without trying to avoid being burned to death and not without having an unconscious, recovering Touya laid up in bed rest.
Soon, you hope, they can share a meal together without you in the room to ease the awkward tension.
“Touya,” you call, walking in, “you have a surprise!”
“We can finally use this bed for better things?” He asks, voice a raspy grunt.
You pinch the bridge of your nose, sighing in exasperation and making him snicker as he notices Shouto follow you through the door.
“No,” you say tiredly.
“Bummer,” he grins. It’s cheeky and cute enough that you don’t scold him further.
“Is the bed uncomfortable? I’m sure we can get a better one,” Shouto offers.
Touya lets out an amused snort, and you let your shoulders fall in relief—at least Shouto’s cluelessness at times makes things less painful when Touya remains his shameless self.
There’s comfort in it, though. You suppose you don’t mind it as much if his personality is still in tact.
“So what’s my surprise, doll. It’s not nice to keep the sickly waiting, y’know.”
“Why don’t you ask Shouto?” You roll your eyes.
Touya looks over at his younger brother. So much has changed in the last few months, you think—Touya looks happy to see his brother. It’s a big step up from murder, for sure.
“You shouldn’t have, little brother,” he grins, “what is it? Our father’s death certificate?”
“Oh, Touya,” you sigh, shaking your head, “you never change.”
“I brought soba,” Shouto holds up the bag in his hand, “I thought we could share.”
The smooth grin on Touya’s lips falter. Something flashes in his eyes—something close to regret. Maybe even sadness. It’s gone as quickly as it comes, replaced with practiced amusement as he hums.
“Great,” he drawls, “hospital food sucks, you know.”
Touya has more in common with his brother than he doesn’t. It takes him good near two decades to realize as much. Maybe, if he had the opportunity to realize Shouto was his brother who liked soba just like him and not the son that replaced him in his father’s fucked up goals, he could have lived just to live instead of just to die.
But he’s living now, he supposes. Breathing and talking and seeing—and as of more recently, eating. (Real food, at least).
There’s still a chance to eat soba with Shouto, though. Maybe Shouto hates fish just like him too—maybe he doesn’t. Maybe, in another life, he could pass his fish over to his younger brother at the dinner table when their mother isn’t looking.
“I’ll bring some more often then,” Shouto offers.
You smile as Touya’s eyes soften. The glimmer with a little bit of excitement, even. A childlike sort of glee he never got to have.
“Yeah,” he nods, “you should. Don’t expect me to pay you back, though. Your older brother’s dead broke.”
“Okay,” Shouto smiles.
You settle in the corner, letting the younger of the two take the chair beside the bed. Shouto pulls out chopsticks—Touya huffs over getting the brown ones instead of the black.
Shouto trades without a complaint.
You hear Touya murmur, “did you see the news lately?”
“About what?”
“About Endeavor, what else?”
“No,” Shouto swallows, “I had exams.”
“I told you, it’s easy to cheat if you—”
“Touya,” you hiss, making the latter curl his lips into a slight pout.
“Study hard, Shouto,” Touya grunts, rolling his eyes. “Hit those books, I guess.”
————— bonus —————
“How was today?” You ask quietly, sat on the edge of his bed, stroking through his hair. It’s shorter than it used to be, regrowing slowly from the roots with the rest of his body.
“Are we back on this talking about our days bullshit again?” Touya sighs, “we spent the whole day together, doll. You saw it all.”
“C’mon,” you hum, pinching his cheek, “indulge me.”
“S’fine,” he rolls his eyes, “the little brat was good company, I guess.”
“Yeah?” You grin.
He doesn’t meet your eyes, looking off to the side as he shrugs. “Yeah. Don’t make it weird.”
“You seemed like you were having fun,” you beam, stroking his cheek with your thumb. He rolls his eyes, leaning into your touch slightly.
“Yeah, s’cause my only company is you. Gets boring.” He gives you a charming, teasing, smooth little smile that has you scowling at him.
“How rude,” you huff, “maybe I should leave you with no company at all.”
He chuckles, turning his head slowly to give the pad of your thumb a soft, delicate kiss. “I’m kidding. You’re the best company a wanted criminal-turned-hospital-prisoner could have, doll.”
Tumblr media
I would make a longer more detailed healing journey fic with touya but I already have a half written long fic for him that I seriously need to finish so it can wait. For now it will stay a short drabble

Saying their goodbyes: Shouto, Katsuki
Tumblr media
Shouto
Nee-san spoke first, “Please be careful, Shouto. I... I’m so sorry for being such a useless older sister. I wish, I cou-"
"I will. And you're not useless." That felt insufficient. Shouto tried moving his hand over his sister's head, like he had seen Asui doing with some of their classmates when they got upset. "Please teach me how to make soba properly, when I get back."
At this, Fuyumi's eyes turned watery.
Shouto faltered. Then he froze.
Natsu-nii had pulled him into a hug.
Perhaps not wanting their sister and mother to hear, Natsu-nii said into his ear: “Punch him in the face. Pummel his ass." And with an even lower voice, his brother whispered: "And if there's any possibility… please drag him home.”
Shouto flailed. Then he remembered what he did, when okaa-san had asked for his permission to hug him during one of his first visits, and put his hands lightly on Natsu-nii's back. For few seconds, his fingers gripped his older brother's sweater tightly.
Shouto turned to their mother. She had lagged behind his siblings slightly.
He knew that the loss of Touya-nii back then, had completely shattered whatever small parts of their mother had been left, that hadn't already been broken by their father. But Touya-nii had killed so many people. And his flames were so strong, surpassing those of Endeavor's.
Shouto didn't know what to say to his mother. But he had to say something, so he settled on, "Okaa-san, I won’t let our family hurt any more people. I promise.”
“I know. I’m sor…” His mother stopped. Instead, she reached out to wrap his left hand between her own smaller ones. “Thank you, Shouto. I’m grateful for having you.”
Shouto swallowed hard. His hand stayed in between his mother's palms, until the heroes were signaled to move out.
Tumblr media
Katsuki
“You will win.”
“What do you take me for?! Of course I will!”
For that, the hag decked him over the head.
Katsuki was about to let his mother know, that she hit like a ninety-year old. But before he could, his old man caught his gaze. Something in his father's eyes made Katsuki close his mouth again.
With her hands on her hips and her chin tilted up, his mother said: “Absolute victory. That's what you've always spouted. And absolute victory requires making it back. Preferably, in one piece. Although I don't expect that - no, I'm not underestimating you. But I'm also not an idiot. And neither are you."
At this, Katsuki averted his eyes. The hero students involvement in the PLW was still kept secret from the public. Aside from Icyhot, none of the students who got hospitalized had been allowed visits from their families.
Katsuki knew from his old man, that his mother had stood in front of the hospital every single day, until they learned that their son had been released and escorted back to his dorm.
During phone calls, he had tried to downplay his injuries. It wasn't because he agreed with the Commission's dumbass decisions.
It had been futile anyways. Katsuki saw from the expression of his mother's face, when she first laid eyes on him after UA's emergency shelters went into effect, that she had guessed the severity of his injuries right away.
His mother combed her hand slowly through his hair. Katsuki fought against the urge to tilt his head towards her.
"So. I expect an absolute victory, where as much of you makes it back as needed... to take the decking that you’ll get for being disrespectful to your mother. Got it?”
“…yeah, yeah. Just watch me.”
The hag gave his hair a slight pull.
And so, Katsuki's schoolmates, teachers, and anyone else in their vincity, got subjected to an encore of the Bakugou-screamo-musical, until it was time for the son to leave.

four months into getting to know each other, shouto finds him by touya-nii's shrine. his little brother gently sits down beside him and offers a small prayer.
"yumi-nee-san," natsuo wonders if his little brother will ever drop the second honorific, "said you were the closest to him," shouto says quietly.
after all these years and the use of past tense still makes his heart break. 'you are the closest to him' he wants to correct but that wouldn't make sense anymore. touya-nii hasn't been talked about in the present tense since before middle school. does shouto even remember a time before nii-san's dea-, disappearance?
"yeah, i was," he says, eyes never leaving the photo. it's the one nii-san took for sixth-grade picture day. kaa-san had got him all dressed up and he had hated it. somedays he thinks if he looks close enough, he'll see the displeased pout on nii-san face. "why?"
his little brother says nothing for a long time, back ramrod straight. natsuo has no idea what's going on in that head of his. shouto has so few tells that he's practically a blank slate. natsuo hates his father.
then slowly and so quietly, he has to strain his ears to catch it, shouto stammers out, "do-, do you think he would have liked me?"
natsuo's immediate reaction is to say 'yes'. yes, of course, touya-nii would've loved you. yes, of course, touya-nii would've crossed the heavens for you. yes, of course, he would've loved you shouto; you're his precious younger brother.
but he remembers the way nii-san used to spit out shouto's name when he was a kid. the way his brother's mouth wrapped around it, the face he made, like he had just eaten something disgusting. he remembers the way touya-nii had become almost crazed by the end, hellbent on proving himself the rightful heir to their shitty father's legacy. he remembers the way touya-nii had said, "i just need to prove that i'm better than him,"; the 'him' said with such bitterness and contempt.
he knows instantly that touya-nii would not have liked shouto. that this house and his father would have twisted any ounce of love, nii-san would've held towards shouto, into jealousy and hatred.
(this house may have ruined all of them but it only ever broke two of them.)
natsuo can't say any of that to shouto. his kind little brother who forgave him for not being there. his amazing little brother who falls in love with every cat he sees. his wonderful little brother who has a wickedly dry sense of humor. his soft baby brother who loves him and yumi-nee with a passion. his tender-hearted baby brother who still worries if his long-gone older brother would've liked him.
no, natsuo can't tell shouto that nii-san wouldn't have like him. shouto will internalize it like he does with everything else that hurts him. and there is already so much that hurts shouto, he will not add to that list. his baby brother smiles these days, nothing big like his green-haired friend, but quiet, lovely, ones all the same. shouto talks more these days. they have dinner together when natsuo is home. his baby brother laughs now. it's a miracle like nothing else in this world.
shouto is the best thing to come out of their house and natsuo will die before he ever hurts his little brother. so instead, he curls an arm around shouto's shoulders and pulls him into a loose side-hug.
"of course!" he lies cheerfully, ignoring the ache in his chest, "touya-nii would've loved you. you're his — and our —precious little brother after all. there is no universe in which he wouldn't have loved you."
the tips of his baby brother's ears go red and his pleased little answering smile makes the ache of lie go away. natsuo will tell a thousand more lies if it means shouto never stops smiling like that.

Todosibs and bird bros headcanons~
Touya and Keigo have been friends for as long as they can remember, meeting in elementary school and going to the same hero school. (Shiketsu just to annoy Enji and because they offered Keigo a scholarship)
One day Touya (14/15) comes home face red, Enji and Rei are chatting in the kitchen the kids outside playing when Touya stumbles into the kitchen "I uhh... I think I'm gay"
Touya is to lost to notice Enji slipping Rei a 20$ and muttering about 'damn kids couldnt have waited six more months?'
He finally tells Rei that while sparing Keigo pinned him to the ground on his chest, his hands above his head and one of Keigos hands on the back of his neck while straddling his waist and said 'submit' all breathless and Touya got so flustered he set himself on fire. (Rei does not know how she kept a straight face, she's very glad Enji had left the room)
All of Touyas siblings have had a crush on Keigo at some point, which aggravates Touya to no end.
Fuyumi was first, a small giggle crush that ended the moment they brought Rumi home from school with them.
Then was Shoto, who after hearing that Touya and Keigo where boyfriend's demanded to know what that meant and then demanded they break up so Keigo could be his boyfriend. He was eight at the time and Touya has never let him live it down.
Natsu kept his secret for years until a report caught all the Todo sibs +Keigo out shopping one day and asked who the favorite sibling was
Fuyumi: omg I could never pick a favorite!
Natsu&shoto with out hesitation: Keigo
Touya: Natsu, since he's the only one not drooling over my boyfriend.
Shoto (playing a game on his phone): false, when we went to that beach house the year before you guys graduated I saw Natsu make that gay panic face watching Kei-nii getting out of the pool and later that night I saw him Google 'how to tell if your gay for your brother's boyfriend'
Natsu: shoto you gremlin! No one had to know that!!
Touya: you traitor! I have no siblings!
Keigo: gay panic face?
Shoto: yeah, same face Touya made when he admitted to Mom and dad you made him realize he was gay, actually alot of people make that face after seeing you.
A couple years later Fumikage starts interning with Keigo and he's immediately adopted, Keigo over joyed by having a lil' bird bro.
Fumi admits to Keigo later that he had a huge crush on Touya when he first debuted and having the hardest time talking to him the first year of his internship, he didn't say anything because he thought Keigo would be upset about it.
Keigo is utterly shocked at first to learn abut Fumikages crush but gets over it quickly because that means they practically real siblings, Touya laughs in vindication to finally be on the other end of the sibling crush.
Shoto and Fumikage have a rivalry over who has better Hawks and Dabi merch, each stealing prototypes from work to rub in the others face.
Shoto stole Enjis credit card to buy a sign first edition of Keigos trading card, Fumi laughs because he's got the Hawks card and Dabis both signed.
The family is very confused over this they can literally have any merch they wanted, signed, at anytime but it seems to be the hunt that fuels them.

REAAAAAAL
the open dislike touya shows for you when fuyumi introduces you is intense. from the jump, he can tell what type you are. and it's not like he's one for acting like a protective big brother - he really doesn't give a rats ass about any of that. but he doesn't fucking like you. fuyumi is gushing about you, practically glued to you with big hearts in her eyes. she's naive because you treat her well. he's not the type to just sit around and peace keep for the sake of everyone else. he's still touya after all
so of course the tension is immediate. touya intimidates you first, because he's a scary guy. a frankensteins monster, he thinks that'll shake you. but it doesn't. he catches you smoking outside and you look just as smug as you did before. he's a scumbag. he knows the type. he knows what you are down to the very atoms but it's different, because your blase attitude doesn't seem fake in the slightest.
"touya-nii isn't a fan of me, huh?" your voice is cool, calm and smooth. you're not worried about it. it pisses him off for some reason "that's a shame."
"don't call me that. i'll fucking incinerate you."
"ohh, how scary," you say, ashing a cigarette - smiling knowingly in a way that gets on his nerves "you'll make your beloved sister cry."

Request: May I please request some Yandere Shoto Todoroki x reader, where the reader’s quirk is similar to The Scarlet Witch from MCU? (Y/n) was trying her best to stay away from being a hero but she got engaged to Shoto when they were little, Shoto really acts cold towards her but cares for her deeply. (Y/n) was wanted to be free from Shoto’s protectiveness, she doesn’t even want to be a hero at all. She always feels trapped whenever she spends time with him. She always trains alone with her quirk because she hated when Shoto would stare at her when she was in training.
As someone who is used to writing with, they/them pronouns for reader, I will still be using them, because it feels weird -. Warnings: creepy Shoto, angst, Reader is close to turning to the league of Villains, Reader knows Dabi's identity due to their quirk, Dabi actually adores Reader lol, sibling rivalry, I added Dabi because it seemed interesting, angst, Author hates it lol
Y!dark-ish!TodorokiShoto x unwilling!darling!Reader x platonic!Yandere!Dabi
Reader hated being in class 1-A, they hated how many times they were attacked by the League. And they hated how much they agreed with some of the League's views. They hated how their fiancée is pushing them towards that path.
But what made them go down that path faster is the comment about their quirks. "They could destroy the world." was the most frequent one they heard. "If they become a villain we are doomed, should they even be allowed to train their quirk?" They were forced to do hero training to ensure the communities safety.
When Bakugo Katsuki had gotten kidnapped, they had kidnapped Reader as well. Well Bakugo was able to be rescued, Reader wasn't. For matter of fact, they had stayed behind to help All Might. Causing the world to rather be concerned, what storm will they bring?
Todoroki Shoto found this even more concerning, knowing how weak Reader was in their mind. Knowing how Reader heard the screams of unjust spirits in their dreams. So, in one of their forced get togethers Shoto asked; "How is your sleeping going?"
"Well, you can hear my screams at night in the dorms, right? Don't ask stupid questions, Todoroki-san." Reader hissed, rolling their eyes annoyed, focusing on their phone. "I am your future-husband, questions about your wellbeing is not foolish."
"Everything is foolish coming from you." Reader shot back, wanting to punch Shoto so badly. "Just go back to your cold self and fucking ignore me."
The longer the school year went by, the more tense Reader became. When Reader encountered the League of Villains again, they were invited to go with them willingly and just drink together. Which reader accepted.
The Villain Dabi was rather curious about the Todoroki Family asking many questions as Reader was given Cola. Reader's quirk allowed them to manipulate the mind or exactly pinpoint who they are by their aura. "Dear brother-in-law, why don't you go see them yourself?" This caused the league to either choke on their drink or spit it out. "You are quite foolish Touya, my quirk allows me to remember people by just their aura. Only I hadn't felt your aura for so long, it took a bit of time."
"Is Touya your real name? It's so pretty! Right Twice?"
"Hell yeah! FUCK NO EW HE'S RELATED TO ENDEAVOR!" Reader had broken Shigaraki. "Are you alright, Shimura Tenko?"
"HOW THE FUCK?!" Shigaraki didn't know is he wanted them on his team or not. "My quirk, bitch." Reader winked smiling brightly as they grabbed a vodka bottle from the counter, popping it open and was ready to chug it down. Yeah, Dabi grabbed it.
"Aweee, come on!" Reader whined, causing Dabi to roll his eyes. "Don't drink your sorrows away."
"Says you, touya-nii."
"Oh, fuck you." Dabi hissed. "Still hating your fiancée?"
"Fuck off."
"Make me bitch."
When reader was back at the dorms, they were drunk, drunk as fuck.
"What the actual fuck!" Bakugo shouted as Shoto tried to hold Reader up. "What did you do, Reader-chan?" Shoto tried to ask them, trying to coax an answer out of her. "I hate you; you know? I don't ever want to marry you. I don't want to be a fucking hero, but oh no! The public is too afraid I will become the next number one villain!" Reader started to ramble drunk. Causing Shoto to tense up as he whispered; "then perhaps, I should make it that you can only love me."
And that is exactly what he did, not knowing that the league of villains noticed.
Reader had woken up in a fancy ass room, chained to a fucking rail. Of course, they were fucking pissed and ready to kill Shoto. "Let me fucking out, you piece of shit!" Reader yelled as Shoto came in with food.
"I told you; I will make it so that I am the only one you can ever love."

bellow the fire into my deadened lungs
chapter 2 excerpt — mother/son reunion read full story here
After 3 weeks of playing house with Keigo, Shouto asks, “Touya-nii. I have the day off today, and I want to take you somewhere. Will you come?”
Touya’s arm suspends in the air as he looks at Shouto like he’s lost his mind, mid-bite of his lunch, “I’m... literally a wanted criminal?”
Shouto studies his face for a moment, blank mismatched eyes not giving away a thought, before he says, “Your hair has grown and you've washed most of the dye out. ‘Dabi-the-Villain’ isn't known for an inverted balayage. The rest can be covered with a face mask and sunglasses. Wear one of Hawks-san’s hoodies.”
Touya hums, suspicious at the adamancy that his brother is showing, “Where are you trynna take me, Shou?”
“It’s a surprise.”
“Fuck off,” Touya barks a laugh, biting into the sandwich he’s halfway done with.
“Touya,” Shouto steps in front of him, and his eyes narrow, “I know you just got better, but don’t make me knock you out.”
“Not very heroic of ya, baby bro,” Touya stuffs the last remaining bite in his mouth, the stretch straining his staples a bit, but nothing he can’t usually handle.
“Yes, well,” Shouto smirks, evilly, “I’d argue it’s actually pretty on-point with the current state of hero society today. Wouldn’t you think?”
Touya just pinches the bridge of his nose with two fingers. He can’t believe his brother grew up like this — he reminds him of himself.
‘He’s a little asshole.’
“Fine.”
They successfully manage to get into a taxi without raising any suspicions, probably because their taxi driver keeps raving how his brother, “Really saved my ass the other day, kid, you’re going to be a great hero! Your friend, though, he’s a bit… abrasive, but he seems like he has the potential to be a good guy. Saves people with a frown on his face, but doesn’t make too much of a mess. The green-guy, though — ‘Deku’, I think? Don’t get me wrong, he’s very strong! But the crying is a bit… Well, you’re all still kids.”
However, when the car stops and Touya sees exactly where his brother has taken him, his flight-or-set-himself-on-fire instincts start to kick in.
“Shou, what the fuck.”
Shouto grabs his hand and hauls him out of the cab, his strength non-comparable to Touya’s, and he is not going to burn his brother again — not after seeing the healed over mess Shouto’s stupidly heroic actions cost him.
“We’re going.”
Touya digs his feet into the concrete, “What the fuck — No, she’s going to — ”
“ — She deserves to know. You deserve to see her.”
Touya deflates.
Before he knows it, they’re both standing in front of a white door with his mother’s name engraved across a gold plaque.
“She’s gonna hate me.”
Shouto shakes his head, “She talks about you all the time, Touya-nii. She mourns you, all the time.”
Touya pinches his nose in frustration, “I’m not the son she mourns, anymore. Don’t you get that?”
“Yeah,” Shouto says stubbornly, “The son she mourns doesn’t exist because he’s literally not dead,” his brother knocks on the door before Touya even has a chance to change his mind.
A slightly muffled, painfully familiar, high-toned, “It’s open,” comes from the other side, and Shouto slides the door open and pushes Touya inside.
Touya freezes.
His mother doesn’t look a day older than when he’d last seen her, over a decade ago, but at the same time, she doesn’t look like his mother at all.
This woman sits on a slightly messy bed with her feet propped up and ankles crossed, reading some brightly colored book, wearing oversized clothing with her white hair twisted in some kind of clip.
This woman is relaxed. She’s content, happy, and comfortable.
Her shoulders have sloped down, no longer carrying a burdened fear.
“Oh?” She puts down her book and starts to lift herself off her bed, “Shouto, you brought a new friend?”
“Sort of.”
Touya can’t take this. His hands are sweating in the pockets of his hoodie and his heart is beating so loud in his ears, every sound dulling into an underwater muffle.
“Are you alright, dear?” His mother’s face is suddenly so close to his. Her eyebrows are tilted up in concern — such fucking familiar concern — and Touya notices the small gathering of crows-feet at the end of her eyes she’s accumulated this past decade.
His hands are moving, one pulling the face mask down and the other taking the sunglasses off. He clutches the items in his hands, needing something to hold onto as his mother’s grey eyes widen at the sight of his face.
Her mouth gapes and something inside Touya’s chest absolutely breaks, ‘I knew it, I fucking knew it, she’s horrified, disgusted, I’m disgusting, I knew it, no, I knew it —’
Cool and soft pressure on his cheeks interrupts his thoughts, a thumb trembling across the staples under his eyes, “Touya?” his mother’s voice is a breath in disbelief, that same thumb traveling to the side of his nose.
Touya had never put his nose studs back in.
He doesn’t even register the clatter of sunglasses dropping to the floor as his own scarred hands encircle his mother’s wrists, his throat feeling so fucking dry as he cracks out, “Hey, Mama.”
His mother wails in absolute glee, “Touya!” and engulfs him in the coolest hug that ever warmed his core.
Peals of laughter ring in his ear, and the side of a wide smile presses against the healthy skin of his cheek, his mother praising the gods — "thank you, thank you, oh, Gods, thank you for bringing him back to me, my baby!"  — and tears drip onto his neckline.
When his mother pulls back, her hands return to cup the scarred skin of his face, and her broken heart reflects so clearly in her expression, “Oh, Gods, what has he done to you? What... have I let this world turn you into?”
Touya’s mouth gapes at the admission.
He has never outwardly blamed his mother for any of Enji’s actions, for what this world has twisted him into, but the smallest and ugliest parts of him would hate his mother in the dead of the night for the slightest second, his inner child pleading, ‘Why didn’t she protect me? Why does no one care enough?’
He’s older now. He knows exactly what constant abuse does to the mind, knows that escape is never so black and white, and usually feels downright impossible, but that part of him — the part of him that was abandoned by his mother, ignored and told to keep quiet, it latches to his heart like a parasite in the worst of moments.
“Mama,” He starts, “It’s not your fault.”
His mother smiles at him sadly, so fucking sadly, “Whose fault is it, if not the ones that were supposed to dedicate their lives to your protection?”
His mouth wobbles in the telltale sign of his body trying to cry, but his melted tear ducts only allow the seams under his eyes to stretch and split over his staples, and he feels the drops of wet and hot blood trail down his face, “Ma…”
Delicate and cold fingers try to wipe away the blood that drips down her son’s face, ending in translucent smears across pinked and purpled flesh.
“I should have left. I should have kicked up a fuss and gone to every police and news station and demanded  help.”
Touya only shakes his head, “They wouldn’t have listened.”
“Well, I should have tried, Touya!” His mother cries and grabs his shoulders, her head hanging in shame, “Words… There aren’t enough to describe how sorry I am,” When she looks back up at him, Touya’s throat constricts at the look of desperation that’s etched into his mother’s face, “I will carry my failed responsibility till the day I die. I will be sorry to my grave, and even beyond that.”
The mention of ‘failure’ triggers something in Touya, something that urges him to fix this mood, tend to his mother’s sadness, soothe her, “I don’t blame you, Ma,” He lies, “I forgive you, alrigh’?” Anything to ease that agonized expression off his mother’s face.
His mother starts to violently shake her head, “Don’t ever burden yourself with forgiving me, my son — my precious, wonderful boy.” Even against the deadened skin of his neck, he feels his mother’s cool touch, “I will love you anyway. I will be here for you, always.”
Hearing his mother tell him that she still loves him, after all this time, after failing, after murder and villainy, revives a part of his heart he thought long-dead, “I love you, too,” And this time he means it.
His mother smiles, “You can love me and not forgive me.”
“Well, I decide if I forgive you, and I want to.”
She brings him into another hug, “There’s no rush,” and uses all her strength to squeeze his middle, pouring all the love she has through this decade-late touch.
She asks so many questions — ‘How did this happen? Where have you been? Who helped you? Why have you returned? Who else knows?’
“Just a few people. Pro-Hero Hawks, Natsou, Shou.”
His mother’s hand never left his own since they sat down on her bed, “Not Fuyumi?”
Shouto sits on the other side of her, “No. We aren’t sure how she’ll react, if she’ll tell Father. Her intentions are always good, but she’s foolishly naive.”
“Geeze, Shou — a lil’ harsh, don’tcha think?” Not that Touya doesn’t agree but things were different for Fuyumi.
His mother sighs heavily and shakes her head in shame, “I raised Fuyumi all wrong, gave her the worst role model. I’m afraid I’ve turned her into a fixer, and women who try to fix things all the time end up in horrible situations,” She squeezes her sons’ hands and moves her head to look at both of them, “Please, don’t let that mentality consume her. Otherwise, she’ll end up here, same as me and all the other women.”
Touya’s eyebrows furrow, “Other women?”
His mouth lets out a bitter laugh, “Half of the women in here are like me. Wives told they’re hysterical. Women pushed to their breaking point, locked away and not allowed to leave until their husbands sign for their release,” and the way she says the word 'husband’  sounds like poison.
Shouto and Touya share a horrified look, anger kindling within their hearts.
A few hours later, a nurse knocks on the door to remind them that visiting hours are almost over.
Touya puts on his facemask and is about to slip the sunglasses back on when his mother cradles his face again and gently tugs him to bow his head before she presses a hard kiss to his forehead, “Survive. Do what you must. Don’t let them lock you up.”
And even though Touya nods, he’s lying again because he doesn’t know if he can see a way around it anymore, doesn’t know if he’ll ever be allowed freedom for what he’s going to do.
He’s made his decision.

Thinking about stepbrother Touya again.
About how he tries to convince himself this is still just a little game to him. That his doll is just that, a doll a fun little toy to use until he gets bored.
Unfortunately for him, he’s developed feelings for her. Possessive ones sure, but still feelings he can’t ignore.
So when she starts pulling away from him and wising up that something is fundamentally wrong about this situation, and for the first time in a while he experiences panic. He refuses to accept it though, if she wanted out than good riddance
It started with new friends she’s made in that new college she started in. That was fine at first. She would only spend a few hours with them and come back to him afterwards.
But then they started inviting her out and he didn’t even get the chance to talk her out of it so she can stay in his room that night instead.
Then she started showing up at the same parties he did and was to worried about what her stupid little friends would think or say if she sneaked off with him to go hook up.
Then other men started getting bold and trying to make a move on her.
Now that pissed him off.
She wants to treat him like an old phase and ice him out, fine! He’ll burn that bridge for her, see how she is when he cuts her off completely. See who cares then.
It barely lasts a week or two before she comes pouting and crying about how he doesn’t like her anymore.
“Oh? So I guess all those times you chose someone else over me wasn’t worse? I haven’t been talking to or fucking anyone else, but I’m the bad guy here? Fucking hypocrite”
“Touya-nii I—”
“Save it, I don’t want to hear about how you didn’t think it would matter or whatever bull—“
“You didn’t correct me. I call you Touya-nii and you’re supposed to scold me for it because you’re just Touya. My Touya”
He doesn’t know how to proceed from here. He’s supposed to have the power in this, and yet here she is, pulling at heart strings he thought he burned off.
He guessed he could bring her to bed and wreck her for anyone else. To reestablish his power over of course. It doesn’t matter that he might have meant it when he said he loved her back when she started babbling about all that mushy stuff

ARB Birthday Special 2024: Rintaro Himura
Tumblr media
 ~ ~ July 16th ~ ~
“The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.”
Login Lines:
“Fucking shit why the hell do people keep bothering me today? Oh goddammit, not another one. What the fuck do you want?”
“You’re giving me of all people a gift? Fucking why? My…birthday? Shit that is today. No wonder people kept bothering me.”
Voice Lines:
“Finally 27, huh? Not that it fucking matters. I’m set to be hanged for my crimes one day. Today is just another day closer to that shitty moment. Just thinking about it makes me want a smoke.”
“Normally I don’t give a fuck about my birthday but Touya does for some damn reason and he wants to celebrate it. Even fucking begged. Ugh…he’s lucky I don’t have the heart to tell him no.”
“People have been asking me if I want a drink to celebrate my birthday. Like hell I want a drink. I swore never to touch that shit in my life. An insane pyromaniac I may be, but I refuse to become a drunkard like that bastard of my father.”
“I promised Akari that we’d spend the day together today. Just the two of us. Just like when we were younger before everything went to hell. It’s going to be great. I have to make up for all the years we lost together. Now to go find her.”
“Well if it isn’t the Old Man. Here to give me a gift? Hey, now any more emotion from you, and people will think you're losing your fucking touch, Old Man. Damn…you really do fucking care. I’ll process how to feel about that shit later, but first, let’s see what the hell you got me.”
“Score! I needed a new one of these. You're not fucking wrong about that. The garage is my spot for whenever I need to unwind. Either to work on my bike or make meth. I have to get money somehow! Chuohku barely gives us anything! So what if I sell high-grade meth to fuckers on the streets? Then don’t fucking ask Old Man.”
“Fuck Touya! How many times have I told you not to fucking jump on me? It's not that important Touya. Just fucking another day for me. *groans* Okay fine we’ll celebrate goddamnit, you pink thing. Ugh, you’re lucky you’re one of the few people I tolerate this shit for.”
“.....Touya what the fuck is this? …You better start fucking running. Now. TOUYA YOU PIECE OF SHIT! I’M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR GIVING ME THAT OFF ALL THINGS!”
“There you are, Akari. Ready to hang out like old times? You didn’t have to get me anything I’m fine with getting no gifts. God knows what I fucking did to deserve you as a baby sister Akari. *smiles sadly* I will never fully believe I did enough for you as a kid but the fact you think I did makes me glad.”
“You spent all week on this Akari? It looks sick as fuck! Of course, I fucking do! It’s from my precious baby sister who worked a long ass time on it. You could give me a rock off the side of the road Akari and I’ll treasure it until the day I fucking die. Now come on we got a full day ahead of us.”
Akihisa Lines:
“Happy Birthday Rintaro. *rolls eyes* What else would I be doing? *scoffs* Me? Lose my touch? As if. No, but as much it pains me to say this, Rintaro, you are one of the only people in the world who means something to me. Now consider yourself lucky enough that I got you a gift.”
“You seem to be the most calm and relaxed in the garage, Rintaro. So I assumed you'd appreciate a new tool set. …Really? Making meth in the garage? Why on Earth? …I'm going to pretend you didn’t say that last bit, Rintaro. I’m getting a headache thinking of all the potential ramifications.”
Touya Lines:
“Happy Birthday, Rin-chan! Hehehe! Sorry, but I’m just so excited! It’s your birthday! Come on, Rin-chan! We have to celebrate! It only comes once a year! Plus, I got you a gift too! Yeah! Hope you like it~!”
“It’s a vibrator you silly goose! I'm always in a good mood when I use one, so I- Rin-chan? Why do you look angry? Don’t you like the present I got you? Eh? RIN-CHAN I’M SORRY! HISA-CHAN HELP ME!”
Bonus! Akari Lines:
“Happy Birthday, Rin-nii. I am, but first, I got you a gift. No. You’re my older brother and I’ll be damned if I don’t get you a gift for your birthday. So I spent the last week working on it making sure it’s perfect. You deserve that from me at least after everything you did for me as a kid. So here. I hope you like it.”
“I know it’s not some of my best work. Really? You like it? I didn’t think you would. You’re not really the necklace wearing type Rin-nii. *giggles* I like to think I could do better than a rock from the side of the road. Hahaha! Okay! Let’s go then!”

Can I Watch You Train?
A lil Touya and Shoto fic!
“Touya-nii?” The five year old rubbed at his eyes, clutching a teddy bear in his hands.
“Shoto? You’re not supposed to come near us failures, you know. Actually, I’m pretty sure you should be asleep.”
“Wanna see what you’re doing..” he mumbled, “Don’t tell daddy.”
“I won’t, go back inside.”
“Are you going to.. train?”
Touya frowned, “What do you care?”
Shoto had heard his biggest brother asking their dad to train, saying he was getting really powerful, and that Touya was sure he could beat All Might, and Shoto himself.
Every time he heard it, Shoto hoped it was true, and he wished their father would listen. Touya wanted to train and wasn’t allowed. Shoto didn’t want to and couldn’t stop. He always wanted to switch places. Then, he knew his brother would be happy, and maybe he’d be happy too.
He didn’t know how to put that into words. How to explain that he was scared of their dad and that he wanted his brother to save him.
Instead, he mumbled, “I bet you’re super strong.”
Touya just frowned. Not strong enough, he thought. There was a time when he hated Shoto and blamed him for everything, but Touya didn’t feel that way now.
Nowadays, he looked at Shoto, and all he could really see was a little boy not cut out for the role he’d been given. A little boy who wanted to be normal. A little boy who was the opposite of him.
He didn’t think Shoto deserved the life he got.
“Go back to bed.”
“I wanna.. watch you train.” He admitted, “You always tell dad you want him to watch. And he never does. So can I watch instead?”
“You can’t watch me train, I’m going to Sekoto Peak and you can’t come with me.”
“Why not?”
“Dad will be mad that his masterpiece is spending time with the failures!” He yelled.
Shoto seemed oblivious to the fact that Touya was getting angry. Innocently, he asked, “What did you fail at?”
“…Everything.” Touya said, running a hand through his hair and tugging some out.
“Oh. Well… If I can’t watch you, he can!” Shoto held his teddy bear out to Touya, with a big smile on his face.
Touya made a weird face that reminded Shoto a little bit of the face their dad would make whenever he asked for junk food. But still, he took it.
“Just bring him back safe, okay?”
——
“It’s all stupid.” Touya muttered to himself as he walked to his usual spot, clutching the bear tightly in both hands. “I just want my dad to look at me and instead all I get is a dumb bear! It’s not fair!” He yelled, setting the teddy on fire. His angry expression immediately softened into one of worry. “W-wait, stop!” He threw it on the ground, trying to stomp out the flames. “Stop-“
When it finally extinguished, he stared down at it with a lump in his throat. It was all covered in ashes and dirt from the ground, one of its legs completely burned off.
Touya tried really hard not to care about what he’d done. But as he was training he found himself unable to tear his eyes away from the thing.
Shoto cried, when he got it back, but he kept it in the end. After Touya died a month later, he set it down under the shrine the family made in his bedroom.

Japanese vs. English Shouto and Friends - A 342 Comparison
Another week, another chapter. This time we don’t get to see Dabi, but at least we get to see Shouto talking about him again. It’s only a small scene, but there has been some controversy regarding it after the fan translation came out so let’s see what the characters really said.
Starting with Shouto:
Tumblr media
「気ィ遣わせちまってわりイ大丈夫だ」
「気ィ遣わせちまって ; kii tsukawasechimatte 」-> making someone completely pay attention to one’s needs / worry
「わりィ ; warii 」-> sorry
「大丈夫 ; daijoubu 」-> all right
「だ ; da 」-> be
= “Sorry for making you worry. I’m all right.”
I know he is probably referring to the fact that his friends worry about his family situation, but what about the fact that Shouto once said that due to his family home being a traditional Japanese-style home, he wasn’t comfortable with wooden floors. How is he supposed to rest in that room? He’ll have to face his big bro whilst being sleep-deprived…
Anyway, moving on:
Tumblr media
「俺も兄がいるからな」
「俺 ; ore 」-> I
「も ; mo 」-> also; too
「兄 ; ani 」-> older brother
「が ; ga 」-> subject marker particle
「いる ; iru 」-> to be; to exist
「から ; kara 」-> because
「な ; na 」-> sentence ending particle; used to seek confirmation
= “Because I also have a big brother, you know.”
In English, this sounds like an incomplete phrase, but because the remaining half can be understood from context (= because Iida also has an older brother, he can understand how Shouto must be feeling right now) it’s okay for it to be left out. It’s a small but significant phrase. Truthfully, the simple fact they both have an older brother isn’t much common ground, but it at the very least is an attempt at letting Shouto know that he is not alone. And, of course, Iida also had been in a position where he had to worry about his older brother, so he can understand what kind of emotions Shouto is currently experiencing.
What’s more important though than the degree to which these two can relate to each other is the fact that Iida is - indirectly - referring to Dabi as Shouto’s brother since by saying that he also has an older brother, it puts Dabi in that same category of “older brother” despite the fact that Dabi is a villain, while Iida’s older brother was a hero. Yet, he acknowledges that the personal relationship is more important and meaningful than the villain label Dabi currently has.
It’s important Iida is present during this conversation and is there for Shouto because Shouto was also there for him during the Stain arc when Iida was so desperate to avenge his older brother, giving Iida the opportunity to now support Shouto in return. So Shouto knows - because he was there - how Iida put everything on the line out of love for his older brother. In a way, if there is one person understanding what Shouto is going through it’s him.
「おまえんとこと比べられちゃ堪んねえよ。俺は燈矢兄の好きなモンも知らねえ」
「おまえんとこ ; omaentoko 」-> your family (short for おまえのところ)
「と ; to 」-> with
「比べられ ; kuraberare 」-> to be compared
「ちゃ ; cha 」-> if (short for ては)
「堪んねえ ; tamannee 」-> can’t stand/tolerate
「よ ; yo 」-> emphasis particle
「俺 ; ore 」-> I
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「燈矢兄 ; touya nii 」-> Touya-Nii
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「好きな ; suki na 」-> liking; being fond of; favorite
「モン ; mon 」-> thing
「も ; mo 」-> even; used for emphasis
「知らねえ ; shiranee 」-> don’t know
= “I can’t stand it if I’m being compared with your family. I don’t even know what things Touya-Nii likes.”
First of all, I tried really hard to find a not-so-rude-sounding way to translate this, but alas. While “I can’t stand to be compared with you” sounds harsh, it’s really just him not feeling comfortable having Iida’s healthy family situation be compared to Shouto’s unhealthy family situation. It’s really more of a humble response than anything.
It’s also important to note that Shouto is calling Dabi Touya-Nii here, establishing this to be a comfortable space for him where he doesn’t feel judged for using his brother’s actual name instead of his villain name, despite the fact they’re about to go to war against him again. The same applies to him being able to bring up the fact he doesn’t even know what his brother likes, which is definitely not something he could just mention in front of the pro heroes who still refer to him as the “insane man Dabi” and would probably just start calling Shouto that too.
The panel where he says the second line is also interesting since, instead of seeing his face, the focus is on him slightly clenching his fist, further highlighting his desperation and his strong desire to finally get to know his own brother after sixteen years of not being able to.
And now finally, for the controversial line of this chapter:
Tumblr media
「絶対うどんだな煮えたぎったやつ」
「絶対 ; zettee 」 -> definitely
「うどん ; udon 」 -> udon
「だ ; da 」-> be
「な ; na 」-> sentence ending particle; used to seek confirmation
「煮えたぎった ; nietagitta 」 -> boiled
「やつ ; yatsu 」 -> thing
= "Definitely udon, right? The boiled one"
As mentioned before, once the fan translations came out and made Bakugou say “I’ll bet [...] that self-boiling freak loves udon” - which has a completely different tone to simply assuming that Dabi would like hot udon - this line has had people worried.
So why do these two very different translations exist? The problem is that “yatsu” can either mean “person” (a rude term for person) or “thing” - however, in cases like this it’s always important to take context into consideration and in this context, “person” simply doesn’t make sense.
Anyway, as mentioned, “yatsu” can also mean “thing” and that’s exactly what it means here. It’s often used in relative clauses - as is the case here - and used when talking about one specific thing out of several other existing possibilities.
Here, it’s essentially answering the question “What kind of udon does Dabi like?” considering there are several different udon dishes available.
This specification makes sense considering Bakugou starts out by saying “Definitely udon, right?” - the “na” being used as a confirmation seeker, highlighting Bakugou’s intent on naming something that is different from soba, which is Shouto’s favorite food.
In other words, he’s suggesting that Dabi and Shouto are most likely different. Although I’d like to argue they’re both noodles (udon and soba, that is, I’m not calling Dabi and Shouto noodles), meaning they’re still related, just like Dabi and Shouto are related, just not 100% the same.
The proceeding part “nietagitta yatsu” then takes this one step further by defining the type of udon dish - a boiled one - which differentiates this dish even more from Shouto’s beloved zaru soba, a cold dish. Dividing it like this rather than saying “hot udon” from the get-go puts even more emphasis on the fact that it’s different in multiple ways. Udon - not soba. Hot - not cold.
Not only is Bakugou theorizing that Dabi and Shouto have their differences, it also shows that he remembers Shouto’s favorite food, once again proving that yes, they are friends. Shouto liking soba has been brought up repeatedly throughout the manga and is therefore established to be meaningful to him, to the point where he suggested a friendship between him and Inasa could not work because the latter preferring udon over soba was too big of a difference.
Hence it’s also worth noting that when it comes to his big brother Touya, Shouto has no problem with this “big difference” and instead shows to be more than willing to eat udon, as long as it’s with him:
「ハッ…だったら一緒に食ってやるさ」
「ハッ ; ha 」 -> ha
「だったら ; dattara 」 -> if that's the case
「一緒に ; issho ni 」 -> together
「食ってやる ; kutteyaru 」 -> to eat
「さ ; sa 」-> emphasis particle
= "Ha... if that's the case, we'll eat together."
The “teyaru” part means that the speaker is doing the verb as a favor to someone else, so Shouto would do Dabi a favor by eating udon with him, which is just another way to stress that yes, despite his love for soba, he would settle for udon if that’s what his big brother likes to eat.
Overall, despite this only being a short scene, it’s significant in how carefree the setting is. Shouto calls him Touya-Nii, Iida is ensuring Shouto that he’s not alone, Kirishima is supporting him with his mere presence, and Bakugou jokes about Dabi probably liking hot udon, making Shouto laugh in response before announcing that he’ll eat udon then.
It’s obvious even more now than it already was before that Shouto intends on saving his brother and building a relationship with him, just like he did with his mom before. He feels comfortable enough in that group to say this, which shows that he has the support of his friends and hints at the fact that this topic has probably come up before.
It's also probably gonna be Inasa's villain origin story.

bellow the fire into my deadened lungs
chapter 3 excerpt — all might & eraserhead interrogate dabi read full story here
Meanwhile, on the other side of the interrogation window.
“Oh, wow.”
“Yeah.”
“Well, I can see why you wanted me down here so fast.”
“Yeah,” Aizawa lamely says again.
The underground hero had told Toshinori that Pro-Hero Hawks is also present at the station but insisted on needing a ‘bathroom break’ — but Toshinori is fairly certain there are hidden feathers all over this room, no doubt eavesdropping on what he might hope is a more honest conversation than what Toshinori and Aizawa might have later with Dabi’s ‘accomplice’ — or, as Aizawa had dubbed him, ‘Dabi’s lover’.
That one was a doozy to hear.
Toshinori coughs wetly into his worn and stained handkerchief, “So, what are you thinking? Should we give him a deal?”
“Can we even give him a deal, without the involvement of the Commission?”
“Hero-Law 73 states that licensed heroes ranked within the top fifty are allowed to conduct their own investigations, by any means necessary. It’s a horrendously long law, but in short — yes, I believe you should be able to give Dabi — err, Todoroki Touya — a deal without needing permission from anyone.”
“And keeping it secret?”
“Allowed. Seriously, Aizawa-sensei, you’re a teacher! You need to brush up, hit the books a little,” Toshinori tries to joke, a weak smile stretching across his tired face.
Aizawa humors him a bit, “Your favorite students are quite the handful, I think they drain a gallon of life out of me with every single class.”
“Nonsense,” Toshinori chuckles, “I have no favorites.”
Aizawa gives him a knowing side-eye before turning back to the reunion scene on the other side of the interrogation window.
They look like a family. Every member is somehow holding Todoroki Fuyumi’s hands — Dabi holds onto her right one with both of his own. They’re talking — seems mostly like they’re catching up. They haven’t said anything of importance, but the conversations they have are all the proof Toshinori needs to affirm that the League of Villains Dabi is, in fact, the eldest son of the Todoroki family.
“Isn’t it strange how Hero-Law basically gives free rein to any hero solely based on their rank?”
From the corner of his eye, Toshinori sees Aizawa’s eyebrows furrowed together in assessment, he just isn’t sure what exactly Aizawa is trying to mull over.
Toshinori shrugs, “It’s the way it’s always been.”
“I suppose it is,” Aizawa hums before he tips his head to the door, “Think it's time we get to business?”
Toshinori winces, “Is it odd that I don’t want to disturb them?”
Through the window, Dabi talks animatedly, each sibling cutting in with their own commentary.
“I’m serious, some asshole really stole my clothes! I literally had to walk out of that rec center, ass out ‘n everythin’ — ”
“ — How, literally how, did you not get caught?!”
“I mean, it was three in the morning, Nats, but still — absolutely mortifyin’!”
“Touya-nii, does that even count? If no one saw you, what are you so embarrassed over?”
“Shut up, Shou — you try walkin’ through a women’s public washroom with yer dick swingin — ”
“ — Why the women’s washroom?!”
“It smelt better! Fuck off, Yumi, all of ya, geez.”
Todoroki Fuyumi laughs hard, hand on her belly and everything, and from the tears in her eyes, Toshinori has a feeling she hasn’t laughed like that in a very long time.
He feels Aizawa’s hand grip his shoulder, “Believe me, I understand how you feel. It’s one thing for a top-rank villain to claim he’s a part of a hero-family, and it’s — ”
“ — A totally different thing to actually see it.”
“Yeah.”
Toshinori swallows, “But you’re right. Best thing we can do for this family is to try and sort this mess out, I suppose.”
When Toshinori and Aizawa walk through the door into the investigation rooms, the siblings quiet down and the tension in the air increases tenfold. The look on each Todoroki’s face makes Toshinori feel like he’s doing something very, very wrong.
Especially the way Dabi’s expression steels from the relaxed one he had a minute ago into the infamous stare Toshinori has only seen on Wanted-posters.
“I’m very sorry to interrupt,” Toshinori begins, trying to smile and mentally calm the siblings’ no-doubt racing and anxious hearts, “We would like to talk to Dabi — err, Todoroki-san — for a bit. Would you all mind waiting outside?”
The siblings slowly nod, making their way up from the table and out the door, but not before giving their eldest brother a hug across the shoulders.
When the door bangs shut, the villain in question speaks up, “It’s still ‘Dabi’, to you guys. For printed, legal stuff, my given name is fine, but otherwise…”
Toshinori puts up his hands in apology, “Got it, Young Dabi-san.”
He sees Dabi’s face screw up and mouths, ‘Young Dabi?’ — but the villain doesn’t comment any further.
Aizawa rolls his eyes.
“Anyways, Dabi,” Aizawa says, notepad out and pen in his hand, “You came here with the intention of a deal. It seems like, to me, that you want to essentially blackmail society into reform — sorry, change.”
Dabi nods with a laidback expression, “Yeah, basically.”
“Dabi, why should we offer you any kind of deal? You’ve killed people.”
Toshinori winces at Aizawa's brashness. Maybe they should have waited, and let Aizawa take an hour to nap.
Dabi’s eyebrows furrow, “Okay?” His scarred hands flail to accentuate his words, “So, when a villain kills another villain, it’s all, ‘yeah, lock the fucker up,’ but when a hero kills a villain, kills his own fuckin’ son, everyone wants to throw a damn party!”
Toshinori tries to calm everyone from the heat that’s escalated in this room, stifling even with Dabi in quirk-restraints.
“Let’s just take a deep breath, okay — ”
“You think you guys are better than me?” Dabi demands, “Your students aren’t even old enough to drink but, sure, give ‘em a license to kill and put their own lives on the line!”
Aizawa breathes harshly.
‘Oh no,’ Toshinori bemoans, he knows how Aizawa gets whenever people try to insinuate he doesn’t care about his students, that he wouldn’t give everything he has to save their very lives.
He decides to get to the point — change tactics and avoid the blame-game.
“What does Shigaraki Tomura want? What is the goal of the Paranormal Liberation Army?”
Dabi raises an eyebrow and leans back into his chair, “Is it really not obvious?”
“To cause mayhem, wreak havoc? Bring even more pain to even more innocents?” Aizawa questions.
Dabi sighs, “Let me tell you a story — it’s Shiggy’s favorite, and maybe then, you’ll start to understand.”
“I am not interested in your stories — ”
“It’s about the ultimate moral dilemma.”
Silence.
Dabi leans forward to rest his elbows on the table, “A guy asks a crowd of a hundred people this: If there was a city so close to utopia, perfect in every single sense, in the way that every single person in that city can do and have whatever they want, and not have to worry about food or money, ever, but,” He pauses, making sure the two are listening, “that city’s fortune is dependant on a child being locked away in a dungeon and tortured on a daily basis. On your eighteenth birthday, you are brought in to see the child. You are then given the option to stay in the city or leave. Which do you choose?”
“Leave,” Aizawa and Toshinori say in unison.
Dabi smirks a little, “Calm down, wasn’t askin’ you. Let me finish.”
Toshinori feels a bit sheepish, “Go on.”
“The guy asks this question to a hundred people. Forty-nine of them choose to leave because they wouldn’t be able to handle the guilt. Fifty-one of them choose to stay. These people proclaim that leaving the city wouldn’t save the child anyways, so why should they give up their own happiness — the good of the many over the one, ends justify the means, all that crap.”
Toshinori looks at Aizawa and sees that he’s equally slightly mortified, but it looks different from how he feels. Toshinori feels sick to his stomach, whereas Aizawa looks resigned and frustrated.
Aizawa always had guts of steel.
“Neither choice helps the child, the question inspects individual guilt and capacity for empathy, if anything,” Aizawa says.
Dabi sighs bitterly, “Still not finished,” before a sneered smile stretches across his face, “Don’t you wanna hear the end?”
Aizawa rolls his eyes and waves his hand, ‘continue’.
“The guy says to the crowd, ‘There is a way to save this child. Does anyone know how?’ and not a single person has the answer. The man finally tells them, ‘To save this child — ’”
It hits him.
“Every single person must leave the city,” He whispers.
Dabi smiles cadaverously, “No people, no city for a child to suffer for,” and the scarred man looks somewhat proud of Toshinori’s response.
Aizawa nods, “But there is too much of a divide between people, for such a thing to be accomplished.”
“What would you choose, Young Dabi-san?” Toshinori asks.
“Me?” Dabi smirks, “I’d free the kid and help ‘em burn the whole fuckin’ city to the ground.”
Toshinori looks at Aizawa with a severe weight pulling down at his sickened skin.
They finally understand.
Toshinori gives Aizawa a firm nod.
“We’ll give you the deal.”

“Touya-nii!” you cry, his fingers massaging your insides so heavenly. “Please! Please I can’t—”
“Can’t what? Spit it out you little brat.”
Touya loves to tease you. He’s never gone quite this far before, but the fact that you’ve let him is evidence enough that you’re a willing slut to be conquered. He’s had it in for you ever since you began dating his best friend Shigaraki. It boiled his blood to hear of how he stole your virginity from you. How he made you do disgustingly perverse things to him. Did you object? No. Did you take the time to consider your options? No. Shigaraki told Touya in graphic detail what he did to you and how willing you were to do it.
“No no! Niichan we can’t. Daddy might find out!” you whimpered, hips still bucking into his hand desperate for more of him.
“Oh… And we can’t have daddy finding out, can we?” he hissed, a particular brand of poison dripping off his tongue as he repeated your pet name for your father back to you. “You know, big girls like you shouldn’t call their father’s daddy anymore. It’s sick. That’s something you should call your boyfriend.” he explained, as patronisingly as he could.
“B-But, he is m-my – oh fuck Touya – my daddy, he is!” you began to blubber, knowing you were about to come undone at any second. He bit and pulled your bottom lip enough to draw blood, licking it off your lip and smiling sleazily back at you. “Touya-nii! I’m gonna- I- hnng!” you stuttered, an explosive orgasm ripping through your body. He took one of your nipples into his mouth and carried on finger fucking you until your body stopped squirming beneath him. His pace slowed, your body producing nothing more than small aftershocks in your post orgasm glow. When he removed himself from your nipple, he turned to your hotel room door, smirking with pride.
“Look princess… Say hello to daddy.”
It was embarrassing how easily your daddy picked you up from your bed. He knew better than to let you have your own room. You should have been sharing with him. Touya doesn’t know how to behave himself.
Enji’s relationship with Touya is unusual to say the least. Touya knows how to get on Enji’s last nerve, but never enough to chastise him. He keeps up with his studies, with immaculate grades. He does housework. He respects the rules of the house. Even now, a prime example, Enji had to drive Touya out of town because he won a poetry competition. That’s why you are at this hotel, he couldn’t trust you to be out of his sight. But he likes to do anything and everything to torment Enji. And finger fucking you is a perfect example of that.
If Enji had his way, you’d never be able to look at Touya, let alone talk to him. He is a womanizer, always has been. And as soon as Enji introduced him to his new wife (your mother) and his adorable new little stepsister, he knew he had to have you.
That is why it sickened Touya to know everything that made you so cute and innocent was torn away by his apparent best friend. He didn’t hesitate to mention it in front of your daddy.
If Enji wasn’t so furious he would have laughed at the way you were glued to your mother’s side, a pathetic attempt to avoid being punished. She was disappointed that you’d chosen to sully yourself before your wedding day, but understood it was silly to think you wouldn’t give into your desires when you believed yourself to be in love with Tomura.
Enji wasn’t so understanding. You couldn’t stay with your mother forever. So, when she went to bed, he took his time to strike. He covered your mouth as he whispered furiously into your ear. He thought you were his girl. Wasn’t he good enough for you? Were his fingers not fulfilling enough?
He licked the tears that streamed down your cheeks, he was too much. He was too big. You hate it when your daddy sneaks into your room like this, but Touya doesn’t. Touya knows exactly what his father does. He’ll rest his back against the wall that links your rooms together, furiously pumping his shaft to the sound of his father drilling into his baby sister. The sounds of your cunt squelching as he teaches you a lesson. The melody of you crying as his father tears your pussy in two.
Tumblr media
You’ve been set up. Touya knew exactly what he was doing. Of course Enji was going to hear your greedy cunt slobbering around his fingers. You’re too God damn loud whenever anyone plays with that sensitive pussy of yours. He’ll never get over the betrayal of you fucking his best friend instead of him, so any chance he gets he likes to get you in trouble. He assumes his usual position, back against the wall, palming his pretty cock with the angry red tip while he waits for his father to teach you another lesson.
Enji didn’t even give you the decency of letting you get dressed as he carried you out of your hotel room. If anyone had been around, you would have been awfully embarrassed. You found yourself face down on your daddy’s lap, he smoothed one of his enormous palms over your rear before spanking you with all of the force he could muster.
“Daddy!” you cried.
“Shut up and count.” he growled. Spanking you again.
“One…” you whimpered, “Two…” you cried as you began wiping away your tears. He carried on, not being cautious to avoid your reddened pussy either.
“You continue to disappoint me little one.” he explained, “Keep counting.”
“I-I’m… Daddy I’m sorry.” you told him, sounding as remorseful as you could, “Eep! Twenty-three. It was- It was Touya! Promise! He’s so bad…” you did your best to give validation for your actions, but Enji did not care about anything you had to say.
Touya however was elated to hear his name through the drywall. He gripped his cock tighter and pumped harder, a wave of pre forming at his slit. He didn’t want to cum yet, he wanted to wait to hear the good stuff.
“Take some responsibility for your actions. You’re a big girl, aren’t you? Big enough to decide who you let touch this pussy of yours.” he responded, thick digits circling the your entrance and dragging a soft moan out of you. You began backing up against his fingers, but he spanked you again.
“Twenty… Twenty-four.”
Your spanking came to an end at thirty. Enji wasn’t a monster. He saw how red your backside was. He took note of how you trembled in his lap. He sat you up, brushing your hair out of your face and kissing your lips softly. It’s a manipulative little tactic of his, and he’s so grateful that you don’t ever see it for what it is. Because every time he’s mean to you, every time he punishes you, every time he makes you feel as terrible as you possibly could. One little kiss. One simple little kiss that was soft and sweet washed it all away. He does it because he loves you. So why do you keep testing him? He kisses you so kindly, because he loves you, and still you give him reasons to remind you who you belong too.
“I am,” you sniffle, “so sorry daddy.”
“I know. I can see that now. But you must understand why I have to do this…” he begins, menacingly undoing the buckle of his belt. You shake your head, he nods his.
I can’t, your eyes tell him.
You will, his tell you.
Tumblr media
The way you scream, and writhe does nothing but excite him more. You’re lingering on his tip, not wanting to go any further. He slams you all of the way down to the base, you screech so loudly anyone in a hundred-mile radius might think you’re being murdered. It takes every ounce of willpower for Touya not to bust his load right then and there. You wrap your arms around your daddy’s neck, needing something, anything to stabilise you. You don’t want to move, but he slaps harshly on your engorged clit inspiring you to move. The tempo is slow, you can barely handle it. But it’s doing nothing for Enji. He grabs your hips, forcing your pace to hasten on his length.
“Ow, daddy!” you screech into the skin of his neck. He can feel your fat tears rolling all over his skin.
“Oh – fuck – I thought you couldn’t handle it.” he taunted as he felt your walls clench around him. You were already impossibly tight around his gargantuan length, but when you came so majestically you clenched around him for everything he was worth. You leaned back, resting your palms on his knees. He was captivated by the way your tits bounced. He was enamoured by the way your belly bulged each time he fucked himself further inside of you.
“Ow… Fuck daddy.” you mewled when you saw the same bulging in your stomach that he did. He slapped you across your face, you instantly brought a hand up to soothe the sting.
“Don’t swear you little whore. Oh, mmpf.” he finished with his lips tightening into a thin line and a heavy release of oxygen being expelled from his nostrils. The lack of empathy, remorse or disgust Enji feels for pumping his load into his step daughter says a lot about what kind of man he is. He removed you from his cock, a little bit of his seed dribbling out of your cunt. He was curious, who could blame him for trying it? He pressed a palm down on your lower stomach, his cum gushing out of your hole and splattering on the floor. A thick, slimy goo. The sight made him hard again, even you had to admit there was something endearing about being that stuffed full of your daddy’s thick cum.
Tumblr media
You were shocked when Touya opened the door to your daddy’s room. You tried to hide and cover yourself behind your daddy as if your brother hadn’t been knuckles deep in your pussy a fraction of time ago. But daddy pulled you forward onto his lap again, hooking his arms under your legs and spreading your cunt open again. He told Touya to press down on your stomach, your brother’s face lit up when he saw another thick load of cum fall out of your hole. Touya’s hand was cupped, when he told you to open your mouth you shook your head. Daddy yanked your jaw down and Touya forced his way in, depositing his own cum into your mouth. He took after your daddy, the same thick release that was on the floor was now in your mouth. Touya covered your mouth and pinched your nose, forcing you to swallow. He kissed your forehead as you panted, never feeling so exhausted and spent in your life.
“She’s a good girl really, I’m sure of it.” Enji spoke to Touya as you collapsed into your daddy’s hold.
“And yet somehow, something tells me she isn’t going to learn her lesson any time soon.” Touya responded, an evil Cheshire grin sprawling across his face.
You are one of the only things that Touya and his father agree on. Enji knows his son is utterly depraved. He knows his son gets off on hearing your cries of anguish behind closed doors. He enjoys the way his father tears open his baby sister. So, when Enji made a subtle suggestion that Touya should give Enji a reason for him to pound into you…
Who was Touya to say no?
