We had just arrived at Michael Rubin’s annual party for the 4th of July, Kylian, Brice and me, we were approached by many celebrities since we don’t usually stay in the states it’s unusual to see us there, and most of the people here are ones we interacted once or twice online.

Recently, there had been some rumours going around that me and ( NBA player) had been going out in secret, which I think it’s stupid since I’ve been with Kylian the whole time since we arrived in Miami

But all of this started when (NBA player) said on an interview that he had a crush on me and that if I gave him a chance he would make me the happiest woman

This was very childish, since me and Kylian had been together since we were 16 and he had been there for me since the beginning and vice versa

We were currently near the drinks, I was talking to Kendall Jenner and other girls and Kylian was talking to Kevin Heart and the others, when (NBA player) approached me and the girls and started talking to me

I could see that he was trying to flirt but I was shutting down any advances he was making at me, for obvious reasons, im happily taken

I could see Brice taping Kylian on the shoulder and pointing at me, I could see that he was mad, then we made eye contact, he could see that I was uncomfortable

I think (NBA player) sensed that I wasn’t listening to him anymore, so then he stared to where I was looking and saw Kylian glaring at him “let’s go somewhere more private ma” he said

I just looked at him dumbfounded and said “are you crazy, can’t you see that I have a bf, who tf do you think I am” then I tried to leave but he grabbed my hand “cmon ma I can make you more famous than that boy toy of yours”

From a distance I could see Kylian approaching “is there something wrong amour?” He asked but he obviously knew the answer to that “no bro we were just-“ “I wasn’t talking to you now was I?” He asked rhetorically with an arched brow, he was getting pissed

“Everything is okay Kyky don’t worry, (NBA player) was just leaving, weren’t you” I said with a smile that said, ‘if you don’t get out of here noww, my bf is going to beat your ass’ he got what I meant and left without speaking another word

After we saw that he was very far, Kylian pulled me in for a kiss that didn’t last long bcs the girls started teasing us, to which we just laughed and decided to go somewhere more private

“I don’t know if I’ve told you this, but you look três belle” he said once we reached a place near the pool, he was staring down at me, admiring every inch of my face, and I won’t lie, I as doing the same exact thing

“You have said it, multiple times amor, but I don’t mind hearing it again” I said and pecked his lips “Je t’aime mon coeur” I said and he smiled, that smile of his that makes everyone else around him smile too

“Je t’aime mon Princesse” he said and hugged me “I know you were jealous back there” he looked at me and then just scoffed letting himself go off me “no Kylian I thought it was cute, though you have nothing to worry about because the only person I love is you” I said while laughing

He just side eyed me and I started laughing even more, this time he was laughing with me too, then we calmed down and he said “I know, I trust you, it’s them I don’t trust, if I didn’t trust you, I wouldn’t have given you that ring that you so much deserve” he said raising my left hand to his lips and kissing the engagement ring he gave me at the beginning of the year

I smiled looking down at the ring “I still can’t believe we’re engaged, I mean took you long enough, but the timing was perfect” I still remember that day it was right after New Year’s Eve, our families and friends there, everything was perfect

This high infidelity line could be as much to fans as to Calvin. Like Dear Reader, it says to fans how some see Taylor in a narrow idealised way

OK, but what happened?

Set up:

Taylor and Calvin had been on pretty rocky ground. There has been rumours that he had been unfaithful, that Taylor was jealous of yachtgate and that Calvin was jealous of that jealousy.

Taylor won Album of the Year on 16 February and in Miss Americana said she felt alone and had no one she could call. (21 Minutes)

Harry and Kendall started the year with Yachtgate 6 January. Kendall was in Europe and didn’t go to Harry’s birthday party on the 21st and they arrived and left separately Jeff’s birthday 23 January so hendall was over then. They weren’t seen together for months apart from a pap walk that promoted KUWTK.

Harry was in LA at the same time. He wore this blue Hawaii st Laurent shirt on his 22nd birthday, also the day of the feeling 22 tweet which went viral, Taylor was in LA but not seen. 2 weeks later he wrote Sweet Creature which is a love song, but also references seeding doubt in a love interests' partners mind.

At this time, Calvin also started writing a diss track (Ole) about a guy (Harry) who ignores his GF (Kendall) for someone else (Taylor) who is a fake girlfriend to the subject (Calvin), the video shades Hendall and Haylor.

28 February - 29 April

Harry and Taylor then started hinting at hooking up, or wanting to. On 28 February Taylor looks stunning and alone at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Harry tweets Elvis lyrics about not being over an ex and posted a colour photo to instagram (it had been B&W since OOTW came out unless he saw Taylor).

Taylor and Calvin posted about the 1 year anniversary a week later and spent 3 days with backgrid in the Bahamas. Harry went back to London and looked grumpy getting a parking ticket that week. :/

But then it seemed back on 25 March when Taylor and Harry return to LA the same day 👀 and are seen around LA separately.

On the 3rd April Taylor and Calvin are hostile at the iHeartRadio awards, blinds they fought in the pap walk.

The end for Tayvin was at Coachella/Bleachella/TIWYCF when Calvin didn't give Taylor credit for This is What you Came for. A year later there was a blind item that TIWYCF was about who Taylor was having an affair with (in hindsight it’s really Haylor), to me this helps explain why it went so bad over it.

Harry again tweeted Cars lyrics about being with an ex that you love no matter what And then finally, as well known Taylor went to Gigi's birthday party on the 28th, and did not show up for promo for TIWYCF, neither Harry or Taylor are seen on the 29th.

The next Day Harry is still in LA in a walk of shame to a Gym and Calvin goes on Radio to say she isn't working.

Alas it didn't work out for either couple, Tayvis imploded. Harry went to Europe to shoot Dunkirk then record HS1 and Taylor was looking for someone to be with her all the time and publicly move on from the Tayvin disaster. You know the rest.

What makes this and interesting comment on Taylors fans thinking they know everything is that it wasn't known.... Were it not for Ole and Kiwi's videos that is!

Later in 2016 Calvin released Ole that references outfits Taylor, Kendall and Harry all wore in this period and Calvin posted to instagram wearing Harry's exact shirt from February.

Harry recreated Taylors look from this party in the protagonist of the Kiwi music video, which refers to when Taylor said at 2015 Oscar’s she was “going home to the cats” and Calvin (prick) "When she's alone, she goes home to a cactus (Uh) In a black dress, she's such an actress"

On 29 April 2017 (the 1 year anniversary of this high infidelity) Harry got papped wearing the same shirt.

In September Capital FM used the photo Calvin's used to troll Harry and Taylor in an article calling him a 'baller'. Harry has a leaked song from this era, Super Pretty with the line "Said you're happier with that big baller that we both knew growing up"

Joe Alwyn, the Bowery Gastropub & Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk "reshoots"

A Reddit and Toe-Tumber version of this story is:

Joe was in LA for BLLHW reshoots and was with co-star Garrett Hedlund, who's friends with Caleb Followill who is married to Lily Aldridge who was at Gigi's party where we know Taylor was. There is a pub named the Bowery Gastropub on Sunset and Vine so of course Taylor met Joe there because 6 degrees of separation. It somehow makes sense that Tayvin continued and Hiddleswift happened and that she wrote in the lover journal that Toe started dating 3 months before January.

Issues with this story:

This story hinges on a screenshot from an office assistants LinkedIn claiming to have worked freelance on reshoots for the film for 2 months March and April 2016. If you search the words in the screenshot the Linkedin profile does say that. However if you look at profiles for editors, videographers and producers on the film they all ended mid-2015. Perhaps the freelance office assistant was working on a different film, or listed the wrong task.

Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk had no reshoots. They had no budget for them and shot specifically to avoid them. It was also not shot in LA.

Footage for the film had already been debuted on 16 April 2016. They were definitely not still shooting a low budget film 2 weeks later when it was being screened and was released in November

Joe was in London on 20 March 2016. There is no reason to think Joe was in LA.

Joe and Garrett Hedlund did attend the Met Gala - however as a C/B lister Garrett would not have a plus one, more likely he was Lily's plus one!

Caleb Followill, and his brother and bandmate Nathan Followill go way back with Harry - Nathan has a matching tattoo of the other half of Harry's broken heart tattoo! Harry (and Taylor) were at a Calab Followill's 2015 birthday party when they were last seen together. If the Followill connect/ Bowery gastropub is true at all, it was not a no-name friend of a friend who was in London! 😂 It was a BFF who was in LA and flirting with his ex-GF.

This mental gymnastics to fit Joe into a story that three artists have described is a good example of how swifties want to keep Taylor in a defined perfect box, which she wants out of. It reminds me of this quote she gave Rolling Stone in 2014, about the snowboarding accident and OOTW:

has mgk apologized for what he said about kylie and the tweet about 14 yo girls? why doesn't he apologize and end this shit once and for all? Brushing it under the rug doesn't seem to make it disappear and people will keep bringing it up until he explains himself and shut them. hell it will make them respect him more but him hiding replies and ignoring them make him look more guilty in the public eye. I debated even answering this and I’m not gonna go back and forth , so this is all I’m gonna say

I know he said he apologized privately to Em about the Hailey thing. He could have apologized privately to Kendall as well, we don’t know. I’ve heard the tweet was proven to be fake because he didn’t have twitter at that time that was supposedly tweeted.

To me the most important part of an apology are actions not the words . For instance if your partner cheats on you and apologizes , but then continues the behavior , he’s not really sorry. Colson may not have come out with a public statement or apology BUT he knows he was wrong , he’s said how he hates all his old interviews, how he doesn’t stand by shit he said back then , how a lot of the time he was just saying shit to say shit and saying things for shock value. Has anyone else noticed how much 'this is our someday' completely captures what the show and the band is about?

Allow me to break down the songs lyrics and explain:

'When everyday feels like the other and everywhere looks just the same'

in the show, this highlights what the boys were like in Minnesota, waking up, going to school, making mischief, doing homework and going to work (but that only applies to Kendall).

But in real life, the boys all had a passion for music and entertainment and have done a few cameos in shows and we're waiting for their next job.

When a dream feels like forever and your a face without a name

In the show this line could just relate to James or all the boys in general, James and (seemingly) Kendall wanted to be famous, James with singing and Kendall with hockey while Logan wanted to be a doctor and Carlos wanted to help people, but all of them were just normal boys.

In real life, like I mentioned before, all the boys have a passion for music and entertainment, they've made appearances in shows before, but that was only for a short amount of time and were waiting for their big break.

And maybe now is our best chance, to finally get it right. Just look at the world as an apple and it's time to take a bite

This perfectly symbolizes the opportunity the boys took with BTR, they didn't know how it would turn out, but they still took the opportunity and made the decision of a lifetime.

Someday it will come together, someday we will work it out, I know we can turn it up all the way, (cause this is our someday), someday is what we make it, someday is like here and now, what way what way what way, cause this is our someday

Pretty explanatory these lyrics, we all think 'someday I will achieve my dreams' and to quote James from the show "that someday is today" and that's what this song is about. Embracing that your someday has finally arrived and it's up to you to decide how you do with it.

We all have times, times we wonder will the spotlight shine in me?

With this line, again talking about the show and real life, in the show it was when the boys would get the opportunity to show the world their talents. With Logan it was how good of a doctor he will be, James his singing talent, Kendall with his hockey and Carlos with his desire to help people.

In real life, it was when the boys would finally get the recognition they wanted and finally be able to pursue their passions, both as actors and musicians.

Don't let the waves go and pull us under, we'll miss the opportunity, don't look down or look back.

This comes into play with s4 in the show, and with 1D in real life. In the show, the boys were worried about how with the new rise of boy bands emerging they would be forgotten. But also in the first season were they were dropped by the record company, showing us that yes, there will be obstacles in the way and doubt will be in the way but...

It's not that far to go, cause if we never trap it, we will never really know

The boys continued with their dream, trusting their fans and their fans delivered, even 10+ years later. They didn't know how well they would be received after so long, but they still took the chance and opportunity to come back because like the lyrics said 'we will never really know'

Ok, starting with the show, James originally wanted a solo career, it was all he ever wanted and he got that briefly with Hawk, but he not only realized that Hawk was a jerk, but he also loved singing with his friends, he had more fun singing with his friends.

In real life, all the boys wanted a singing career (yes, I know Kendall had Heffron Drive) but after they joined Big Time Rush, they realized how much fun it was singing together as a group and created a special bond.

As Tanya Chisholm once said in an interview: "in the beginning there was alot of pettiness between them, with who's the star and who's not, now they're like brothers". So yes, this lyric shows the bond between the boys both in the show and the band and what it means to them.

It took some time to get here, but it's better late then never!

Now this lyric shows how far BTR has come, sure, they were well known in 2009-2014, but were overlooked because of 1D, but during their hiatus they all had time to grow individually and find their passions. Now that they've made a come back they've managed to achieve so many things, such as playing at MSG, a true dream come true for them.

So yes, this is our someday' perfectly captures what BTR is all about and it deserves more recognition.

Kendall is doing some interview on TV - you can’t watch it. You are avoiding everything Kendall related, it hurts too bad. Just reading the tabloids and news brings tears in your eyes. He’s everywhere after the failed bear hug. You don’t know what happened and as far as you know Stewy doesn’t either. The last thing you’ve heard was that he was going to rehab again, you were glad he took this step. But apparently he’s back now, about two days after he went to get help. You would have reached out but you can’t. You don’t want to run after him after he’s made it clear that he doesn’t want this anymore. You have talked to Stewy on the phone, going through a Kendall withdrawal together brought you closer. Except from that you’ve heard from Laura, from college, who had gotten engaged a few months back and was inviting you to go dress shopping with her and her other friends. You weren’t really in the mood for that but you said yes regardless.

Looking out of the car window you feel dread instill in your stomach. Connor and Willa have invited you to their homewarming party. You really didn’t want to go but you like them both but you were a little unsure about seeing Kendall again. It’s been a stressful day at work so you could push your evening activities to the back of your mind. But now in the car with nothing to distract you from it, you can’t help getting more nervous every minute.

You walk into the big suite. A few familiar faces and some people you’ve never seen before. You talk to a few people while staying alert of your surroundings, not wanting to walk into a conversation with your former best friend.

You spot him in the other side of the room as Willa makes a speech. He looks so sad and kind of defeated. You have seen him looking sad often throughout the time but never like this. You let your eyes linger on him for a little.

His dark eyes land on yours but you look away fast, gripping the champagne glass firmer.

Kendall feels his heart hurt. You look absolutely beautiful and he wishes he could just walk up to you and hug you, feel your warmth, smell your scent. He thinks just that would make him feel a little better. But you won’t even meet his eyes and he knows it’s his fault. He deserves this. In another world would you two have attended this event together? Went home together?

”Yeah we are about thirty percent finished with the script and the stage is almost ready too.“ Willa tells you about her upcoming play.

”We have all this sand that’s going to be on the stage.“

”That’s so cool! I need to watch it once it’s done.“ you tell her

”You’ll be invited to the premiere of course.“ she smiles at you.

You stay for an hour, talking to Willa about her upcoming play and Connor tells you about his presidential plans. You see Kendall exiting the apartment, stepping out onto the balcony to smoke. If you were still friends with him you would have followed him out, make sure he was okay, sharing a cigarette with him. It hurts in your chest and you can feel that you’re about to tear up. You hurry into one of the bathrooms. After a few minutes of making sure that you won’t spill your tears in public you exit the room to look for the hosts. You find Connor talking to Kendall. ”Shit.“ you mutter but Willa is nowhere to be found. You approach them ”Hey, uhm Con. I’m sorry but I have to leave.” You tell him

”Oh no, really?“

”Yeah I’m really sorry but I don’t feel well.“ you glance at Kendall quickly. He can read you like a book, so he knows the real reason you’re leaving. It makes his heart break even more. He hates that he’s the reason you’re hurting. Your eyes are a little red and he has to stop himself from reaching his hand out.

”I’ve heard there’s a flu going around. But thank you for coming.“ Connor says with a squeeze of your shoulder

”Thank you for inviting me. This place is really beautiful.“ you tell him and he gives you a warm smile

”Thank you, y/n.“

”Goodbye Con. Tell Willa I look forward to her play!“ you force a smile before you mutter a quick ”Bye.“ towards Kendall.

”What is going on with you two?“ Connor asks his younger brother but he just shrugs ”Nothing, we’re uh, we’re good.“ before he turns to go to a bathroom to do some coke.

It’s a few days after the party at Connor and Willa’s and you try your best to push every thought about Kendall away. You have met Stewy for coffee yesterday wich cheered you up a little.

You’re eating lunch while scrolling through twitter when a tweet shows up telling you that there’s a potential shooting at ATN. You feel your blood running cold. Your put your fork down suddenly feeling nauseous. 'Kendall.' Is your immediate thought followed by 'Is he okay?'. You just hope he’s okay.

The rest of the day you can’t really concentrate on anything, you follow the news on your screen the whole time. You type in messages to him multiple times only to delete them again. Only when it’s confirmed that it was a suicide, you feel like you can breathe again. You feel sorry for the person, you can only imagine how the work inviromenr at waystar feels like. But you are happy that nobody else was hurt and that Kendall is fine.

Unknown to you Kendall is not doing fine at all. He thought about telling Shiv when he felt the tears coming while talking to her.

Kendall walks onto the roof. There are walls of glass now, hindering him from looking down. He leans his head against the cool material. He thinks he has never felt this lonely in his life before. He almost broke down in front of Shiv just minutes ago. He knows he has to do something. He can’t go on like this.

You come home after work. As you walk in your building the man at the front desk calls for you.

”Excuse me Miss, you have a visitor. He didn’t wanted to go up, wanted to wait here for you.“

You thank him before you turn around towards the small sitting area. In one of the chairs is sitting Kendall. You take a deep breath before you walk over to him. You can’t lie you have missed him like crazy but didn’t want to reach out to him first. He needs to apologize first.

”Ken.“ you wanted it to sound sterner than it came out and when he looks up when he hears your voice. His eyes somehow seem even sadder than usual. Even more than at Willa and Connors place.

The staff of your house is discreet but you still don’t want to have this conversation in front of them. It’s private. So you take a deep breath and nod your head towards the elevators.

”Let’s go up.“

Kendall nods, he seems relieved. The elevator ride is awkward, you’re both not talking. He’s nervous, you can tell. Inside you put your coat away as Kendall walks further into your apartment.

You find him in your living room, he seems distressed in a way you have never seen him before.

”Ken are you okay?“ you ask him. Kendall glances at you for a moment "Yeah, uh I’m- I’m fine.“ he looks out of the window before meeting your eyes again. You step closer to him. You can see tears brimming in his eyes. "Hey, hey Kenny.“ you stride over to him and wrap your arms around him. He breaks down in your arms a sob rippling through him. You feel him shake, you have no idea what had happened but you feel worried. You’re so confused as to what happened for him to end your friendship but you can tell how distressed he is right now, so finding out about that gets put on the backburner for now.

”I’m so, so sorry!“ he says through his sobs "Let’s sit down okay,“ you guide him to your couch, sitting down next to him while cradling his head in your hands.

"What happened? You can talk to me.“ you felt him shake his head. "I can’t- I really can’t.“ he says with a broken voice. He had thought about telling you when he came over, he has lost you already so telling you won’t ruin your friendship but know seeing you he can’t do it. "You can. Whatever it is.“ you reassured him. "You will never talk to me again.“ he said burying his head into your stomach. "Ken. You are my best friend. I’m always gonna be here, okay?“ you tell him honestly before bending your head to press a kiss against his head. "I love you, Kendall.“ he held you tighter hearing that. "I- I Love you too. And I’m so so sorry for the last weeks.“

”It’s okay Kendall.“

”No, no I hurt you. I didn’t mean a word I’ve said. I had to- had to do it.“

”You-? What happened?“ he’s silent except from his sobs

”Kenny, please. It’s me.“

He takes a few moments and you can tell he’s thinking about what to say

"At Shiv’s wedding.“ he starts before he has to take a moment inhaling a shaking breath. "Some- something happened. I- I killed him. It’s all my fault.“ a sob ripples through him. Your confusion is replaced by a deep pit in your stomach as you piece together what you knew and what Kendall had just said to you. That must be the reason Kendall went back to Waystar. Did anyone else knew about this? Did Logan know? Was Logan blackmailing him? You felt him hold you tighter before letting you go "I was high, looking for the next score and he, the kid, he said he knew where to get something. I drove the car and then he saw something, he grabbed the wheel and pulled.“ Kendall closes his eyes for a moment shaking his head as if the memories would go away this way, tears streaming down his cheeks. "I- uh i looked for him, I dived but I couldn’t find him.“ he lets out another gut wrenching sob. A tear rolls down your cheek ”I thought it was easier to fight with you instead of lying to you. I didn’t want to get you involved in this.. But I- I can’t do this, I need you.“

”Thank you for trusting me and tell me.“ you tell him still processing what you had just heard.

"I would understand if you don’t want to be my friend anymore.“ he said without looking at you. "Ken look at me please.“ he didn’t so you softly cupped his cheek "Please look at me, Kendall.“ his sad brown eyes met yours "You’re the most important person in my life. What happened was tragic but it was an accident." You tell him seriously "You were in active addiction. You haven’t killed someone on purpose. And he grabbed the wheel. It was an accident.“ he let your words sink in. He couldn’t remove his guilty feelings but what you said lifted a tiny bit of the pressure off his heart. It had also helped just to share this with someone he trusted, not having this big dark secret eating him alive.

"But I did-" he started almost choking on his words until you interrupted him "No, Kendall. You need to cut yourself some slack. You searched for him that’s more than many other people would do. You sit for a while, so he can calm a little. You gently stroke his back. ”Come on, let’s go to bed.“ you say, it’s not something you’ve thought much about, it’s obvious that he shouldn’t be alone right now. You can see the relieve on his face.

You grab some of Kendall’s clothing from your closet and you get ready in the bathroom while he changes in the bedroom. He sees one of his shirts laying on your bed. Its worn, you slept in it the last days. You slip under the covers and let him scoot over into your arms. His head rests on your chest and your hand softly rubs his back. You can feel tears dripping onto your shirt from time to time. ”It’s okay Kendall. I’m here.“ he sniffs a little. He had missed you so much and part of him had known the whole time that talking to you would make him feel better. When his father had ordered them all to come to the summer house to talk about the future of Waystar it had felt like a personal torture to him, having to see your house, the place that had held so much comfort in his life knowing he couldn’t see you anymore.

You wake up early the next morning. The sun was up and a glance at your phone told you it was only 5:30. You look over to your friend. Kendall was laying next to you, curled against you. He looks so small. You were a bit hungry but you knew you couldn’t get up. He would be so scared if he woke up and you weren’t next to him and you also didn’t wanted to wake him, who knew when he had a full night of sleep the last time. You trace his features with your eyes, the same face you’ve known for such a long time. His confession hadn’t changed your feelings about him, about this friendship. What had happened was bad, undoubtably, but you meant what you said yesterday it was an accident and he was on drugs.

When he wakes up you can practically see the relief that washes over him as he recognizes where he is.

”Good morning.“ you tell him, your head resting on your pillow looking at him. He smiles a little then for what feels like the first time in weeks to him. It’s really just the side of his mouth lifting but it’s better than nothing.

”Good morning.“ he answers, voice rough from sleeping, he has slept better than he had in weeks. You scoot closer to him, hand on his chest, feeling his heart beat steadily. It has a calming effect on both of you and you stay like this for a while longer. His arm is still wrapped around your middle, like it has been the whole night.

”I’m gonna go make some coffee.“ you mumble at some point.

You also decide to make some toast for breakfast.

”I, uh i moved. I wanted to tell you the new adress but-“ he breaks off

”It’s okay. But why and where do you life now?“

”It reminded me of Rava too much.“ you nod understanding the decision

”I’m sorry I hurt you. I didn’t knew what to do but I, uh I know now that it was a big mistake.“

”Yeah, i was not the most glorious moment of our friendship. Had to fly home with Stewy.“

”I know, uh, I asked Greg about it.“

”Why?“

”I wanted to know that you’re save, that you got home. I felt really bad.“

You’re both quiet for a moment before he speaks again

”And uh, what I said was all just lies. Of course I trust you. More than anyone else. And uh, you’re family too.“

”I know, Kenny.“

”But I said-"

”That you told me yesterday proves that you trust me. I knew then.“ you squeeze his hand

Do you let it go easily? Yes probably. But you can’t hold what he said against him. Not after you heard what happened, he was probably in shock and traumatized and actually thought he was protecting you this way.

”Do you want to do anything today? Stay in? Motorcycle drive?“

Kendall wants to stay in and you can understand his decision. So you both just lounge in your bed the whole night, you order lunch and watch movies while cuddling. It’s nice to have Kendall close again.

Later, when it’s dark out, you go onto your rooftop. Kendall is smoking and you’re looking over the city.

You turn your head to look at him and find him already looking at you

”I don’t deserve you.“ he says seriously

”Don’t say that, Kendall. You deserve good things and friends and people that love you.“ you tell him. He gives you a small smile.

”God, Kendall I’ve missed you so bad.“ you shake your head a little

”Me too.“ he says

”At Connors, I’ve wanted to go follow you so badly.“ he admits

”I almost went to the balcony to check on you.“ you tell him

”We’re really bad at not being friends.“ he chuckles a little and you join him.

”Good thing we’re not doing that anymore.“ you answer him with a smile.

Big Time Rush Season 1, Episode 6: “Big Time Mansion”

Highlights: Gustavo shows a glimmer of trust in the boys, and they spend the next twenty minutes making horrible decision after horrible decision. Good thing they've got a mom who's willing to step in, no questions asked.

As we officially begin this episode (skipping over the underwater fart record nonsense) the guys are in the studio singing "Famous," which was one of my favorites back in the day. Every time I hear it, I still think of a blog post I'd come across that did a deep analysis of the song, explaining how each of the boys' individual parts align with their personalities in the show and even reveals their anxieties and fears in regards to fame. Interesting stuff. All these years later, I still think of that post when listening to "Famous."

The song sounds great, but Gustavo isn't willing to dish out any compliments. After all, he says, it isn't like the dogs are thanking him for anything. Two seconds later, the boys all file in to thank Gustavo for the opportunity he's giving them.

Kendall has gotten a haircut since the last episode.

Also, big shoutout to Logan's failed attempt to high-five Gustavo and Kendall's reaction to it.

Gustavo announces that he and Kelly are taking a trip to North Carolina and then proceeds to threaten to return with replacements for the guys in anticipation of them failing him.

Just pointing out one little thing here: I recall Carlos talking in old interviews about the stutter he has, and that it was something he struggled with when filming scenes, but that a lot of those moments were left in the show rather than re-filmed because it was "real" and added to his character. First of all, I agree. Second of all, I don't think it was something I noticed much when I originally watched the show, but I am catching a lot of those moments now. He seems to have the sound/syllable and word repetition type that strikes at the beginning of sentences since it's almost always on the first word or sound of a line, and then he's fluent for the rest of it.

Only mentioning because I stutter as well, and I love representation!

Gustavo soon discovers that he's got nobody to watch his mansion while he's away. He immediately has four very willing volunteers.

"You want me to let the monkeys mansion sit?" Gustavo replies. Hehehe. I always liked this line because (I assume) it's a reference to The Monkees, which is the show Big Time Rush is based off of. I used to watch The Monkees on reruns Sunday mornings and had fun catching scenes and plotlines that I recognized from BTR doing them. I remember that much of the "Big Time Wedding" episode plot was taken from The Monkees episode "Everywhere a Sheik, Sheik."

Kelly, ever the voice of reason, takes Gustavo aside and tells him to let the boys watch his house. It'll be a good way to thank them. Without any other prospects, Gustavo reluctantly agrees.

Later on at the Palm Woods, Mama Knight is not okay with the arrangement. She thinks they're too young to have such responsibility, to which Kendall points out he's sixteen, and Logan and Mrs. Knight have one of my favorite exchanges.

I love Mrs. Knight so much.

And what makes this even funnier is that I sincerely doubt Logan's "That is older than you, isn't it?" was meant in a joking or disrespectful way? Like. This is Logan Mitchell. This kid wouldn't purposely make a dig at his second mother like that. I have to believe that Logan is GENUINELY unsure if Mrs. Knight is younger than 64. Which is funny for a whole plethora of other reasons.

Eventually, Mrs. Knight agrees to let the guys give it a try. She drops them off at the mansion and tells them that she programmed her number into their speed dials. "Just dial 'M' for Mommy," she says, to which my heart instantly melts.

Once inside, the guys quickly start breaking rules, beginning with a race to the media room that's initiated by Kendall. He tried so hard to be responsible for like five seconds, but the allure of a fancy mansion evidently trumps Kendall's need for control and keeping his friends in line. After a round of video games, rule number two is broken when the guys discover a locked fridge. After a sledgehammer-wielding Carlos breaks the lock, they find out that it's filled with

Ridiculous boys.

Back at the Palm Woods, Mama Knight is already suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome. She misses her son terribly and basically feels that she isn't needed anymore. Katie doesn't count, since she's much more independent and apparently hasn't truly "needed" Mrs. Knight in a while.

Katie, being the attentive daughter that she is, immediately fakes illness so that her mother has a reason to dote on someone and feel needed. Very sweet. This is giving me some thoughts about the fact that Mrs. Knight so badly needs to be needed and Kendall ALSO has an intense need to be needed. Hmm. Thoughts for another post maybe.

As the guys all hang out in Gustavo's media room, eating obscene amounts of pudding, Kendall knocks over the domino that sets all the coming chaos officially in motion.

Kendall's entire life is flashing before his eyes. He is in TROUBLE. How are you gonna explain this to Dad, Kendall? Huh??

"Logan. Brain. Now," Kendall pleads—a refreshing change of pace from previous episodes where Logan has demanded solutions for problems from Kendall. Logan proposes they use cat litter because one of the main ingredients is a "natural absorbent." And can I just say that this fact has never left my brain in all these years? To this day, whenever I spill food or need to get a stain out of something, I often have Logan popping into my head with his cat litter fact. Thanks, Logan.

Gustavo's cat shows up, pees on the couch, gets tossed out of the house by Carlos, and Logan accidentally activates the disco ball. Kendall gives a hurried pep talk to assure them they can fix things, and we immediately cut to five minutes later, in which everything has absolutely fallen apart.

Btw, James's delivery of "I think I broke the statue" while he's holding the very clearly broken statue absolutely would make me and my sister lose our minds. We thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Including a clip because I'm still not over it.

Also, we occasionally have scenes of Gustavo and Kelly's trip, but I'm cutting that from my commentary for the sake of post length. Basically, Gustavo has discovered The Windmills, a boy band who will do anything he says. Gustavo starts thinking they're a better option than his dogs back home.

Gustavo's mansion is destroyed, but Logan has a solution! "There's a four a.m. flight to Bolivia. We get there, change our names, raise alpacas."

I love Logan. This guy is ready to abandon his entire life and start over in a new country in order to avoid Gustavo's wrath. I also love dear, sweet Carlos, who is the only one to enthusiastically nod his approval of the plan.

Kendall, however, has a better plan. He knows just who to call to help them put this whole horrible mess back together. Mama Knight to the rescue!

Together, they stay up all night cleaning up all their messes. They finish just as Gustavo is walking up to the door, and Katie and Mrs. Knight quickly skedaddle—but not before Kendall is able to voice his appreciation to his mama.

One of my favorite moments of the episode. Kendall is such a loving son, and Mrs. Knight is such a wonderful mother. Love me a healthy parent and child relationship. I'm so glad that Kendall, who so often has the weight of the world resting on his shoulders, has his mother to depend on and trust so completely. Beautiful.

Gustavo hurries inside, finds the guys innocently lounging around in their jammies, and has something important to say to them before they leave. It takes some effort, but he manages to say that he likes them. The mended statue immediately re-breaks, the guys make a break for it, and Gustavo retreats to the bathroom for some aspirin, where he is ATTACKED by the alligator that escaped his moat. End of episode.

I love this one. It was always one of my favorites and probably one of the funniest of the first season.

hmmmmmm....i'm trying to think of anything else good to add. some of these things i mentioned forever ago here. but.

he always drinks tea or coffee out of a thermos he brings to class. sometimes if you arrive to class early enough you can catch him outside smoking a cigarette and reading the student-run newspaper. he gives off this vibe that he's smarter and better than everyone else but you notice how much he actually seems to follow what goes on around campus and he loves facilitating discussions in class. like, one time you see him at a student art show. but he leaves before too many people show up, but not without stopping to tell the student how much he enjoyed it. for as stern and standoffish as he can be, he really seems to love what he does. he dresses exactly like you think he would, lots of earth tones, brown tweed blazers with cashmere sweaters underneath. his clothes look soft and expensive, and he smells really fucking good on the occasions you've gotten close enough. he grades all his essays with red pen. obviously people know what his first name is, but he never so much as references it ever, and insists that everyone calls him "Doctor Roy" and not "Mr. Roy". apparently there was a kid a few years back that thought it'd be funny to call him "Kendall" on the first day of class, and he berated him so intensely that the kid ended up dropping the class.

you're young and still figuring out what you want to study so you take one of his classes as a general elective, it's one of those, like, 1000 level classes that you can tell he doesn't like teaching as much because there are so many students like you, who just want a credit and don't care because it doesn't count towards their major. but when you start getting interested in the actual subject, he notices and encourages you to take another class of his the following semester. like you have to go to his office hours and interview so he can sign a permission slip to let you into the class. and you feel so warmed by the fact that he notices you and sees you even in a class full of so many students, so you do. and that classes is smaller, and requires you to talk to him a lot more.... so the pathetic crush you've been nursing only gets more and more intense.

The Roy’s could barely handle boy Lukas, girl Lukas would be an absolute menace.

I can’t see Logan taking a female CEO of any company seriously, let alone one that wants to buy him out, so we'd have to go with Luka Matsson being misspelled to Lukas Matsson in a magazine article early on in GoJo’s history and because she doesn't do interviews, it never got corrected. Everyone outside of Scandinavia assumes Luka is a guys name anyway so the myth rumbles on and she uses it to her advantage whenever anyone is caught off guard by the revelation that GoJo's CEO is a woman.

Enter the Roy’s with none of them doing their due diligence properly so Logan rolls up to meet the son he wished he’d had but instead of a six foot four Viking CEO, it's a six foot four Valkyrie CEO. It's awkward to say the least, especially when it quickly becomes apparent that Luka isn't some dumb blonde bimbo or just a pretty figure head - she's got them by the balls by the time Logan is casket ready.

Because men are pigs they’d all try and fuck her, including Logan, and Kendall would attempt to convince her to do some sort of marriage of convenience with the idea that he could screw her over for the company at a later date. Shiv enters the chat with her "Boss Girl" energy and tries to make an alliance which also ends up falling flat. Team Sweden has a good giggle about this whilst they’re waiting for the deal to go through, although Luka is a bit miffed that the little brunette she had her eye on yelled at her whilst standing on a rock.

Tom still gets the CEO role which pisses Shiv off because what about women supporting women? And girl power? Luka flits off back to Europe once the dust has settled with Roman in tow. They’re married within a year with Roman fully embracing his role as a trophy husband. Not long after there's a baby on the way and nobody would have guessed that Roman would have been the one to provide Logan with a true born grandchild.

HOWEVER! 

Girl Lukas and girl Roman would make me go absolutely feral. Thats the AU we need!

So, I’ve been at Waystar for about a year doing some basic office job when I get hired as Roman’s assistant, sometime early season 1. Obviously he’s not super organized, so someone (probably Kendall) suggests that he get an assistant to help him out. Which he hates the idea of… until he meets me. I’m not particularly nice to him during the interview (I know his reputation, think he’s a spoiled brat), but he likes that I’m not afraid to push back against his brash attitude. SO he hires me right away, and I spend my days organizing his schedule and cleaning out his inbox and just helping him stay afloat.

And our dynamic is unexpectedly great. He’s always making stupid jokes and flirty comments, but I’m not easily offended, so I just play along and roll my eyes and call him gross. Or sometimes even joke back, and soon he learns that I also have a pretty twisted sense of humor. The banter is excellent, and a lot of times (when there isn’t Company Drama) we’ll just talk all day instead of doing actual work. And he starts taking me out for expensive lunches and buying me bags and clothes, and the whole thing is highly unprofessional. But we’re just colleagues and good pals!! Right??

Well, turns out we actually have deep feelings for each other. Underneath all the banter and jokes, it’s pretty obvious that we just get each other in a way that no one else does. (And that we’re insanely attracted to each other- he wants me to pounce on him and it takes everything in me not to and lord help anyone who has to witness our moments of sexual tension). But neither of us can talk about it because we’re both so uncomfortable with emotions and intimacy, so those feelings just kind of tear us apart inside for years…

(We do get together for reals after the events of the finale. But the insane yearning is what this ship is built on hehehe)

The dash is terrifying for Ken girls today but I feel the need to make a polite rebuttal to the darkest predictions. I actually don’t think Kendall is going anywhere and I think he is about to become center stage again (figuratively and literally!). The tragedy is not death. Jeremy all but spoiled the major season arc in this interview and this interview and I’m 95% sure he meant that Kendall gets CEO but crosses too many of his own ethical lines to get there and it doesn’t fill the void inside him.

I think there is something else at the end though. I think maybe he leaves or gives it to Greg because I have a hard time believing that everyone in the cast would say it’s a satisfying and beautiful ending if that were it for him or if he- you know. Jesse has been promising hope at the end for years. They also all said it’s open-ended and could have kept going another season. If he leaves Waystar then it’s still an open ending because we don’t know what he does next, but all of that makes me doubt that the tragedy is death. Jeremy already said the tragedy is getting what you want and finding that it doesn’t fulfill you.

In that same line of thought, in the HBO Succession podcast last night, one of the writers was interviewed and said Kendall changes his mind about the GoJo deal in 4x02 because it’s hard for him to let Waystar go (of course, after everything, it would be). Jeremy also said that Kendall will keep trying to fill the void in him with professional endeavors, which further indicates that he isn’t ready to let go of Waystar. He won’t be until he finds out what it’s really like to wear the crown.

I definitely agree that we feel too far from Kendall right now though! It’s very unsettling not to know what he’s thinking and to have him be more on the sidelines. Him saying he hasn’t been sleeping is the first private insight we really get- and I think it means that he doesn’t feel satisfied by what’s going on now and that this is the beginning of the arc of him trying to find that satisfaction through Waystar again :/ From my fic research, I learned that it’s also common to have interrupted sleep patterns after getting sober. I don’t think that indicates suicidal thoughts.

Finally, the fact that he’s staying sober pretty strongly indicates his will to keep living. I don’t think he’d go to all the trouble if he were planning not to live. We know how he was feeling in season 2 and he was actively using then because he didn’t care about his own well-being. As he says in 4x01, it’s hard for him to stay sober, especially without specific goals and routines, so the fact that he’s doing it means he is putting serious effort into it every single day.

No one posted about this film besides the people who worked on it. She can’t even do with a full press tour because of the fact of how bad the backlash she got was. She did two interviews and that was it. None of the cast participated in any press. That’s fucking odd. Look at the press tour for Amsterdam, or Nope, Hell black panther press is starting now. You see everyone in that movie going around doing press junket, interviews, panels Q&A’s and no one from don’t worry darling did a thing. That’s weird, especially with a film that has a studio like Warner Bros. behind it you would think that they were trying to promote this movie as much as they could especially with all of the shit that has been happening to Warner Bros. this last year. Nobody wants to touch this film, nobody wants to be around it and nobody wants to associate themselves with it because of the method Olivia has created for herself. It failed at the box office. It only made 30 something million dollars domestically and 30 something million dollars worldwide. That’s not very good. But you have a movie like smile that has made almost $100 million That had less than half of the budget DWD did. This is the second time that Olivia Wilde has produced a box office flop. We all said that the movie wasn’t going to do well with critics and we were right, we all said that the movie wasn’t going to do well in the box office and we were right. Just because you make over the budget and you break it does it mean it’s a hit. You making less than your budget domestically is a flop. Olivia is trying to save face and attach her self to Harry as much as possible because of the fact that she still wants people to see this movie but also the stunt is coming to an end very soon.After the stunt is over there is this thing that happens to all of his girlfriends Where all of the fans that loved her will turn on her and all the fans that hate her will hate her even more. Because all of the people that support her and like her so much our first and foremost fans of Harry. When people start to speculate about why they “broke up” they will start to blame Olivia and turn their backs on her because they will never let Harry look bad. Unfortunately for Olivia losing the stunt means losing all of his connections. Nobody in Harries life is going to keep in contact with her. Not to mention she’s not a Taylor Swift or Kendall Jenner who has a big enough name to keep themselves relevant . The only reason with she’s being talked about is because she’s with harry. After that she goes back to being a (D) list actress and a flop Director. Jason has hit a huge high with Ted Lasso and it’s only going off harry styles is Harry styles and will be famous and will only get more famous and Olivia Wilde will fade back into obscurity. She now has a stain on her reputation. It’s not a big one but it’s a stay nonetheless. ok okay so stewy hosseini thoughts/general headcanons? because that man is the love of my life and he does not get the recognition and attention he deserves!!! What’s your hc sexuality for him? What’s his family like? Is he close with them? We are completely disregarding the “his family was in the oil business” hc so what do you think, are his family similar to Logan in how they built the success, the complete opposite? Anything and everything you think about this man, let us know!! Did he ever have a crush on Ken when they were younger? Fuck it, whose his celebrity crush? first of all that man is gay. 100% homosexual kinsey six has never had interest in a woman GAY. I don't see how there can be any other interpretation of him.

his family is VERY intriguing to me. arian has said that he has an idea of what stewy's backstory is but that he didn't want to discuss it in canon, so we'll never know for sure. my personal headcanon is that stewy's parents are immigrants and that he's first-gen -- I think his parents and his older sister came to the US from iran a few years before stewy was born. I don't want to speak to an experience that I know nothing about so I won't expand too much, but that's just my basic idea! he 100% grew up with sisters -- one older, one younger (yes he's a middle child. I know he is). I think there's probably like a 4-5 year age gap between each of them, maybe slightly more between stewy and his older sister. he had the experience of being the Only Boy in his family, which I think makes sense for how he acts in canon lol.

and he's close with his family!! absolutely!! it's fascinating to me that we now have canon info about stewy's dad -- that he's still alive and older than logan by like 10-12 years. but that's all we know! I think he's also very close with his mom (only son = total mama's boy) and his sisters. he texts his sisters at least every other day and I just KNOW that man is an uncle and absolutely spoils his sisters' kids.

I do think his family is well-off, but definitely not roy levels of rich. they had enough money to send stewy to buckley, which is a ridiculously elite and expensive school, so clearly they were at least relatively wealthy. maybe his dad was also involved in business, similar to logan, but just not at the same tier. I think probably his fam made enough money to get their kids started off and then stewy was able to take his share of it and make himself ridiculously rich.

I think stewy had feelings for kendall when they were younger in the way that queer kids always have crushes on their best friends but don't really understand it. and that probably lasted until they were in college -- stewy always knew that there was no chance, but it didn't stop him from having those feelings :( but I think that when they went to harvard he was able to start meeting other people and having his first few relationships with guys and eventually got over his childhood crush.

I think he's not really a relationship guy in the sense that he's never had a serious, long-term relationship, but that he doesn't really feel like he's missing out on anything. his mindset is just that if he meets the right person, then that's great, but if not, then he's fine on his own, too. and hmmm I think that his love language in terms of how he shows love is through gift giving and quality time. he just likes to be around people he likes and is also a master at gift giving -- he knows exactly what people want and always finds something that's very high quality without being so expensive that it's a stupid purchase. and on the receiving end I think he's a physical touch and words of affirmation type of guy :) he's a cuddler for sure.

The true crime here is how TJR uses infidelity as a plot stick to beat almost all of her main female characters with. Carrie Soto, Camilla, Daisy, Nina. I did like how in the show, Camilla said peace out until Billy went back to rehab and (crucially!) for therapy as part of his treatment. Also this will be controversial but neither the show or the book really understood the nuances of addiction, particularly substance abuse. The show just showed a bunch of Daisy being a pixie girl and hoping around, the book made it seem like Billy’s willpower keeps him sober even though the stats show that about 50% of addicts relapse within of year of sobriety (high for substance abuse), and this would’ve been doubly true in the 70’s if Billy got no additional therapy and support treatment. Also, in recovery communities, what Billy did in the book is still considered relapse, not almost relapse. I do think TJR also had a very Hollywoodesque, surface level understanding of addiction.

I would agree--and I didn't mean to imply that Billy taking a sip isn't a serious issue, sorry about that! It's just nowhere near the extent of what he did on the show, and I think that his trigger just felt much more... real, than what occurred in the show. The fact that Billy relapsing in the book was connected to Teddy's death expanded his emotional range in the way the show just wasn't interested in. Not everything was about being torn between two women and being into drugs and alcohol; a lot of it was about his issues with his own role as man and his lack of a strong male figure in his life until Teddy came along.

Personally, I know a good number of addicts, and I don't know anyone who hasn't relapsed, so it does seem unlikely to me that Billy never would again, if not, of course, technically impossible. For the sake of a book, I don't think that I needed to know every minute of Billy's life after the band broke up. Do I think the Billy of the book would have gone to therapy, ever? Nope, I sure don't. And I don't think I would've wanted him to, tbh. He still needed therapy at the time of the interview; that's part of why he was a compelling character to have interviewed. He couldn't come to terms with everything he did. He was a loving husband and father, and he was also deeply damaged and self-loathing. Both of those things can exist in one space. I mean, how many people have fathers that they'd call great fathers--who also seriously need therapy? Probably many.

I was willing to accept the book's version of Billy white knuckling it through sobriety because I think that this was something the book established really well as a hallmark of his character. It was the double-edged sword of his personality. Billy was the type of guy who thought he needed to be a Real Man for his family the way his father never was. He would sacrifice a lot to be that guy--not just the substances he found solace in, but his feelings for Daisy, his music, his art. And then any issues he had he'd take out on people like Eddie, Graham, etc. I imagine he and Camila had highs and lows after the band broke up, like many long term marriages, and those highs and lows came back to his white knuckling personality.

So yeah, I totally agree that the book wasn't realistic about it either--but I also think the book just was better product in terms of character consistency, so I was willing to believe in it. Billy's sobriety (as it was) was kind of a plot device, versus something true to life. I think the book's version of.... a lack of reality, was also more palatable to the rather goofy version on the show.

I mean, the book also really didn't get into nasty shit that comes with addiction either--like, as much as Daisy was snorting everything that moved, she probably should've had some nose bleeds at least. Shit the bed like Kendall Roy, girl! Wake up in your own vomit. Be GROSS. In the book, the fact that they're all telling the stories themselves makes it feel more like they're glossing over embarrassing shit, but the show isn't that, not really. So it was wild to me to see Daisy do her little Stevie Nix dance to express how high she was, and having a pretty aesthetic~ overdose.

Basically: both were unrealistic, for sure, but the book was a more artistically valid approach to unrealism, whereas the show was just. Lifetime drug addiction. "Augusta's Gone", but it's Daisy Jones.

I don't mind TJR's fixation on infidelity; I actually really love how the book dealt with it, because it was so gray. But I do think that none of her other works hit it as hard as this one does, and the show just. Isn't vaguely interested in nuance.
