“oh shes all good. just a city girl, you know how it is.” he waves him off, pulling you into his chest when you stand up straight once more, screwing your eyes shut.

One menacing little meitantei I finished back in September for a contest at Nan Desu Kan 2022 :3c He both lights up (shoes and glasses) and has secret definitely not evil details which can only be revealed under black light. He placed second in the "figurine" category!!

Base kit is this Bandai Entry Grade Conan Edogawa that can be bought very cheaply and assembled without any hobby-specific tools. But I am a hobbyist and I do have a lot of tools on hand so I went a little nuts (below the break):

Base is scratch-built from black acrylic and real brick and mortar (these little slips are the kind made for cladding dollhouses). Since the brick material is real, it's heavier than it looks. Box was designed to have a removable door on the bottom in order to access the custom LED wiring and the on/off switches. It's just a door with a notch in it that you pry off with any tool that will fit, as it's only being held in place with double-sided tape.

There are two custom LED circuits wired into the figure. One circuit controls the LED in his glasses and runs all the way from a tiny spot just above his left eye (the LED is very small! just .6mm) down through his body, to his feet, and into the base. The other controls the ones in his shoes. The wires are not visible except behind the door in the base, they are routed through many a hand-drilled hole.

The wires are incredibly fragile since they're so tiny... pieces fatigued off when I was putting this together since I was handling them too much trying to figure them out. I definitely could have done a better job here but I've given myself a pass since it's my first foray into this kind of stuff. It also works, so I can't ask for more, really.

The blue color in his eyes is hand-painted. The kit provides a sticker sheet for the details (below) but instead I opted to paint them in with my smallest brush because I'm a masochist I guess

For what it's worth, I think it paid off lol. I did try to apply at least one of these and I thought it looked incredibly jarring, plus I didn't really trust the strength of the adhesive to stick well while I hauled him around.

Similarly, the sticker that is used for the homing glasses radar on the lens that lights up is custom-made. The kit does not come with this detail and I wanted something to justify the trouble of wiring up his glasses. A custom waterslide decal would have been ideal, but the issue with this one would've been finding a vendor that can print white (most run-of-the-mill custom services can't).

Under black light, Conan is knee-deep in UV-reactive paint splatter. I wanted to mimic the look of a luminol reaction on blood. Yeah this might've been an extremely self-indulgent decision because the shine in his eyes glow with this same paint too LOL but there was no way I wasn't completing the look by going for some evil eyes >:) Makes him look like an animal at night and I'm very here for it and also tagging this as Evil Conan now hehehe

With the exception of his glasses, and his eyes, the entire kit is finished with a matte topcoat. Without it, he's got a very plastic, glossy shine to him. The topcoat protects the black light paint, too.

Anyway I'm quite proud of this and I'm glad I finally took good pics ;0; It's very different from my usual gunpla-adjacent stuff (Zoids) and because the kit is so affordable I was more comfortable with experimenting. I'm delighted to have placed at all in the contest, and now I have unwavering confidence I can carry this experience to other kits I have on backlog >w<

Hobo Heart

There's barely anything for this man, I gotta fix that

His little dog is a white Yorkie/poodle mix, all white with some black spots. He's never really named the little dude but the others call him Stitch

He absolutely adores Stitch, like that dog is his baby

Has a whole box filled with grooming supplies to make sure that he's looking his best

He has a little satchel bag that he carries the dog in when he's flying somewhere

Speaking of wings he got his from being created with a crow feather. So his wings are a nice pitch black color that are actually huge compared to him

To be able to lift off the ground his wings need to be at as long as he's tall or a bit bigger

Because of that his wings are nearly 9-10 feet (2.87 m) long given that Hobo is a little bit over 6 feet (1.83 m)

But he usually hides them, only using them for flying to places because they're not useful when fight really

He has knocked out some people by turning quickly though.

He definetely has some crow tendacies too, given he has that little bit in him. He tends to mimic people and collect little items he likes

Definitely has given some of the other Creeps chicken skin because they’ll be getting a late night snack and say something to themselves and he’ll repeat them.

Speaking of his crow like tendencies he will not forgive the people that hurt him but will never leave the people that help him.

That’s why he has such a close relationship with Eyeless Jack, sometimes Hobo will bring him audio books and batteries to gift him.

I like to think that the skeletal marking on him are UV reactive along with his hair, just a little bit more of a cryptic aptitude for him.

This man still doesn’t have a heart, but he doesn’t just shove random ones in there like before. He’s much more in tune with how to make sure his body doesn’t give out on him.

I mean this in the sweetest and nicest way, Hobo Heart is a depressed Himbo.

He’s silent and scary but at the moment you ask him to do something he’s taking it to heart.

Because of this he’s seen as mean at first but he has the spirit!! He’s just a lil dude!

My last head canon for him is that he has his own little murder of crows that recognize him.

He has a little wooden box filled with gifts and he brings them food.

Yesterday the high winds blew many of my beautiful meadow flowers into the pond. I cleared them out so they don’t rot but the frogs were not impressed and were hopping about all over the place!

Rana temporaria is not a species that appreciates human presence. My husband once asked me why all British wildlife seemed so nervous and I said sharing a small island with 67 million Brits could do that.

Clearly, he forgot about seagulls. They’d steal real lime sorbet right out your hand so be sure to get some of this nice safe wool!

My kiddo was part of the 4th grade awards ceremony his school had this year.

He got 3 awards, one in math, one in reading and one in art.

When he got his art and reading awards, his teacher made sure to tell everyone how he wrote and illustrated his own book this year.

It's a horror story about a clock. He drew pictures in pencil, then went in with a UV reactive ink marker and made clues, notes, and cryptic and scary art with the marker that only shows up if you put it under blacklight/a uv flashlight.

As a goth mom, I am so proud.

(( Watched all of Ice chapter for the world building. got a little derailed, but kept to it for the most part. Here are my observations below:

Episode 1

Heavily mountainous, and snowy. High elevation, yet no icebergs.

layer of clouds, presumably blocking out the sun?

HEXAGONAL FORMATIONS, meaning Basaltic. AKA: highly volcanic.

Trees have a root structure akin to mangrove trees. Perhaps it was marshland beneath the freeze?

Wolves are dark. The marshland must also be pretty dark, they have not adapted their coat to match the camo of the snow

The inhabitants have blue garb with Red highlights. Foliage or perhaps shell-based dyes? Trade?

Live in a place surrounded by mountains, with a large pond inside. Caldera?? very large caldera?

Dark ice is sort of like mirrors.

Episode 2

Pass from the lake village to the castle, called 'mala-wojira', or Wojira's Wrath. Culturally believed that she is the one that causes avalanches. The place is highly reactive to noise/motion.

The sun is not fully blocked, at least when it is setting. Therefore, the clouds are only overhead but not too far wide.

Clouds not present at night.

Episode 3

'There can be no ice without water' WRONG, Solid Nitrogen GO

I love Nya's temper. hwaaaa. She and Kai both hate being dead weight

Not all inhabitants of the realm are formlings, in fact there's some worry that they are cursed, or at least the formling village vex came from. -The magic ice can spread from those who are under its spell to non-cursed

Episode 4

UV being a fan of Lou is very funny, yet I am sure she is not the only one.

Kais eyes are more yellow than Nyas. Coles eyes are grey or black? hard to tell. Jays are blue ofc.

Episode 5

Giant bird is part of the normal fauna of the realm.

Zane making note that he feels as though he has been there for quite some time, though this may allude that he was not the emperor for very long. However, this contradicts the idea that the village lady planted, in that its been cold for a stupid long time. (Decades)

Episode 6

Cole your anxiety dreams… This seems to be something he has normally. :(

THATS A LARGE TOOTHBRUSH. Jay by far must have the best dental hygiene.

Nyas struggle answers an interesting question, in that understanding similar elements is a thing that's inherently hard.

It is known in the village that travelers occasional 'stop by' and get leaves from the travelers tree to leave. This may be why they aren't so inquisitive of their sudden appearance.

It takes the wind out of Cole to do some terraforming.

Episode 7

CRAIG. ohh my god the flowers on the burial mounds probably are where the blue dye comes from.

There's small little crab apple looking things in the realm. They smell bad.

The Ice samurai have hunted the Craig species for sport. The Craig Species is an herbivorous fauna.

Travelers Tree. it creates its own heat, as well as being in a place far above the cloud line. needs Regular sunlight. Flowers are buttercup shaped, and the apple-like fruits come from it. Presumably, the tree also smells bad. I don't know why the tea is made of flower pedals, you tell me. Floral Tea I suppose.

Episode 8

'Legion of Grimfax', named after the captain. the legions are divided by generals. Assumedly, there's only one?

There are still no glaciers. There's a lot of frozen bodies of water. I have to assume that it rains a lot, or did rain a lot at some point, which also explains the marshland further down.

The shape of the rock construct is very similar to the shape of the Guardian in the Birchwood forest. Also made of Basalt.

Episode 9

Apples are native to the realm.

Chickens, bears, falcons, wolves, elk, Rabbits. (Formling types)

Vex' failure to find his animal form was 'a long time ago'. Perhaps Zane really wasn't the ice emperor for too long, due to Vex just being kind of the only icified guy. If the natural state of winter in the never realm allows for greenery, then it must not be a super cold winter.

Formling ritual includes a travel in silence, as well as a chase to ones own animal. It's granted to the formling once said formling catches their animal. Perhaps Vex did not catch his, it probably didnt show up for he is 'not worthy'. The Ritual also seems to only occur in the winter(?)

There is a type of purple berry as flora as well, in the form of a bush.

Boreas is the one who doomed the formlings. It is good to note that the ice does not kill, but freezes.

Zane and Vex did not have an army until recently it seems. He and Vex brough boreas, but no others.

Episode 10

There are a lot of large ribcages. What large fauna have been killed? large quadropeds of some sort?

The castle probably existed long before Zane inhabited it. I wonder who made it in the past?

Episode 11

The Realm tea opening to Chima Beavers. Mystake made the travelers tea recipe.

Very interesting that tea leaves open to any realm. First Realm, Chima, Underworld, Cloud Kingdom, Departed Realm.

THE DEPARTED REALM!!! Its Green and dark, perhaps the preeminent's existence there has warped parts of it.

Speaking of the Preeminent, she appears to have the whole realm inside of her. When she died, she appeared in the departed realm, though is still the embodiment of the cursed realm. Is she smaller than she was before?

Episode 12

The castle is the king of the realm(?) the samurai are clad in Red.

Zane seems surprisingly level headed when using the scroll. However, he seemed to struggle slightly to put it down.

Zanes 'I feel like I have been here a long time' does not make sense given how quickly he just spawned in the realm, but perhaps he is temporally displaced and is feeling the effects of said displacement.

Episode 13

Zane seems rather adamant on not killing. Its strange that his ice isn't killing.

Corrupted Ice behaves like Vengestone. Perhaps Vengestone is Corrupted Earth.

The Ice samurai are not fully 'evil', or rather fully mind controlled. At least, not the general.

Episode 14

'Lava Zombies' the name of an old arcade game made my Milton Dyer

Craig is 8 ft tall.

Zane spends a lot of time sleeping. perhaps constantly using his element is doing a number on him.

Episode 15

the berries are more potent than the tea leaves.

Okay I’m explaining the Gregory’s. I also made this au before the dlc came out and I haven’t played it yet because it’s not out on Xbox

While they’re all called Gregory, the animatronics have given some of them nicknames to differentiate between them. Each Gregory works with their animatronic to help encourage children to play.

The Gregbots don’t actually know that there are other versions of themselves and are not allowed to be near one another. If they come within a certain distance of an attraction that’s not theirs, they will temporarily shut down.

Each one has a set amount of locations they can visit either on their own or with their animatronic. Even though they’re supposed to have the same personality, every Gregbot is different because of how they interact with their assigned animatronic.

Just like Glamrocks, Gregbots have a recharge cycle and can sleep like a person to get a slow recharge or use the recharge stations for a fast charge. They have a monthly check up to see if their parts are running correctly. Also they have an assigned outfit but will also wear clothes from the gift shops to try and boost sales

Individual Gregbots:

Daycare Gregory (Dawn)

Is the only bot that has two custom outfits

Programmed for climbing and running

Has a bit of difficulty on interacting with older kids as he usually plays with kids between 4-9

If any Gregory gets an invite to a party in the party rooms then Dawn is the one to attend

Sun and moon call him dawn and eventually the others began to call him that too

Can see in the dark

Hasn’t met Foxy as the pirate wasn’t there when Dawn was assigned to the daycare

Draws a lot of pictures that Sun puts up in the room behind the balcony

Roxy Raceway Gregory (Rory)

Goes by Rory as it’s a mix of Roxy and Gregory

His job is to help children who are scared of the safety drivers

Not very competitive unlike Roxy and just loves racing people on the track

Tries to match the pace of the person in first to offer a challenge

Loves to make upgrades to his kart and will shadow the technicians who repair the karts

While he doesn’t have a competitive streak, he is known to get protective of Roxy when she has to get any upgrades

His racing suit has extra padding in case he falls out of the cart

Monty Golf Gregory

Doesn’t have a nickname but Monty just calls him little guy

Everyone thinks he wouldn’t last long with Monty but has actually gotten Monty to mellow out a bit

Sneaks into the back office in Monty golf and always gets caught

Unlike Monty, this Gregory isn’t as sensitive to photographs and will take photos with confiscated cameras

Doesn’t believe that Monty hurt Bonnie

Good at golf but is even better at the shooting gallery

MAZErsise Gregory (cupcake)

Only Gregory that eats more than a handful of sweets at once which causes some issues with his body as it can’t digest large amounts of food

Has a different endoskeleton than the others to allow balance as well flexibility

Is supposed to rescue lost children in the maze but has a very poor sense of direction

Can also go to Chica’s bakery but only when Chica is with him

Goes by Gregory mostly but only Chica calls him cupcake

Has a faster recharge time than the others as he has to keep Chica away from the kitchens at night

Music man Gregory

Roams the west Arcade but also loves hanging out in the staff area

His outfit has uv reactive paint on it for when music man is doing a disco

Doesn’t really talk all that much compared to the other Gregbots

Encourages people play the arcade machines but also tells them how to cheat the system

Climbs everything

Has a sort of sibling rivalry with the music man

Doesn’t really have a nickname either but the other animatronics just call him mini DJ sometimes or Gregory

Fazerblast Gregory

Made to even up teams of kids

Unlike the other Gregory’s, this one doesn’t have much of a daily routine so much games he has to play

Also this Gregbot was one of the first models to be made and doesn’t really have much of a personality compared to the others

His outfit will change colours based on what team he is on

When he’s not playing a game, he will sleep in the back office to conserve energy and recharge his battery

Isn’t allowed into the winners area even if his team wins but the engineers and programmers think this is just a bug

Is the only one that doesn’t have an assigned animatronic

Has a visor on his helmet because he can be blinded by the laser gun

Bonnie Bowl Gregory (Kit)

Is the most rebellious Gregbot out of all of them because doesn’t have an animatronic to curb his behaviour

He was the one to find Bonnie as he was powered down when he was killed

None of the other animatronics came to visit him after Bonnie died which made him bitter towards all of his the animatronics, especially Freddy

After Bonnie died, Kit refused to bowl unless a kid asked him to play, otherwise he would spend his time either in the arcade or the staff office

His systems tend to wear down quicker due to his grief, meaning that he has to get a regular service on his parts to see if they’re in good shape

Kit is the only Gregbot that is aware he’s not a real child and has managed to break some of his programming like being able to swear

Often goes into employees only areas to look for Bonnie’s body

Original Gregory

OG Gregory is actually human

Offered some merchandise if he helped Fazbear entertainment test their animatronics AI

Had no idea that he was being used as a template and only began to question everything once he found out about the kid’s disappearing

Hates the bots of him with a passion as they don’t really look much like him despite acting like him

The animatronics don’t bother him much as they think he’s a new version of a Gregbot
