The major thing about my still-nameless Bloodlines 2 character is that once he gets over the initial 'holy shit I'm in the future??' shock, it flips to 'holy shit I'm in the future!!!'

He's just happy to be here and not a dried-out crispy corpse in a coffin any more, and he flips the typical VTM elder m.o on its head by becoming enamoured with the modern age and very much into all things technology.

Every other Kindred in the city finds this mildly concerning.

back again rereading twsb despite the fact that i have yet to make it past chapter 83 ever but im thinking about how jesse's ignorance must seem to the people around him. we never see anyone think his lack of knowledge about the divine or magic or anything which you would think is a plot hole but actually it aligns perfectly with their perception of him. it is publicly known that the king hates jesse's guts and wants him dead- so why would jesse have ever received a proper education? how sad must it seem to the cardinal that someone from the holy kingdom knows nothing of his own power- because the logical assumption to make is that he simply was denied the chance to learn.

but also the progress he makes so quickly considering that he landed in this world like a week before starting to train with his power is incredibly impressive

This is long overdue, but here is the ref sheet for Klaus Lierstark! He's the main character of my personal passion project where he's a monster hunter who, due to specific circumstances, lost 10 years of his memory and is working with a demon to get them back. The two of them travel through the mortal realm and through different planes later on, solving different dilemmas and unearthing the greater plots at play in their world. they also discover more about themselves and each other along the way!

Hopefully now that i'm on summer break i can start posting more official stuff for this project of mine!! im so excited to finally have more time in my life to write more for Klaus and his world! i hope you enjoy reading thru it twirls hair stick around if you wanna see his boyfriend's demon patron's ref sheet in about a month hehe

Been thinking about the difference in.. Confidence? Fearlessness? Between BJ, Ranger, and Doomguy. Being the main trio of id shooter protagonists, they all have the same "unstoppable monster of a man who doesn't fear death" thing going on, but like.. how they go about it/the tone of it is different.

Like of course everyone knows DG runs 100% on rage, that's his whole deal and a main point of the games. He doesn't even know what fear is, he's just absolutely PISSED that the demons think they can set foot on HIS planet and kill HIS family and light HIS home on fire, he doesn't even care that they killed him, if anything, he's just even more angry that they had the audacity to do that, and is going to get them back for it. And of course he's doing it to protect people, too, but it's still the same- how DARE they think they can keep on hurting people right in front of him, how DARE they try to invade again when he's right there, and he's just so damn MAD about it.

N while Blazko is def mad about what's going on too, he's driven by a much more immediate need to protect the people around him, his friends his family, he doesn't care quite so much if he dies, so long as they're safe, he'll tell his family to drop a nuke on him if it'll get them outta there alive, and of course he'll keep fighting for everyone else too, because it would be unjust and inhumane not to and he can't let that stand- but when he's chained up and already dying and he's got a gun to his head, when he looks at the general who's got him captured, it's without an ounce of hesitation or timidness, because he knows the more her attention is on him, the less her attention is on the people he cares about.

And Ranger, he's got this sort of desperate nihilism. He can't hardly remember his family, his wife and kids, his home, his own damn name, and even though he tells himself his goal is to go home, even if he ever found a way home, the place he knew is long, long gone, if his barely-remembered family is still alive, then they've almost certainly moved on without him, and he'll keep fighting through this nightmare because there's gotta be SOMETHING still out there that he cant let these monstrosities get their claws on, but as far as he himself goes? He doesn't really have anything left to lose, and it's not that hard to risk nothing, so why not put it all on the line?

Got more ASL brain rot for y’all. Timeline here can be pretty loosey goosey as long as it’s before Ace leaves Dawn Island. I will say though that maybe it would be better if it was closer to when Sabo gets shot by the Celestial Dragon. Why you may ask? Well, it’s because in this au somehow Ace and Sabo switch bodies. Ace is trying to get back to Dawn while perhaps thinking this was all a dream because surely Sabo is dead and how the hell would they even swap bodies anyways, while Sabo is trying to piece together the puzzle of Ace and Luffy and how he could fit into it.

Why does he think he might fit into it you may ask? It’s because Luffy thinks that Ace is trying to be more like Sabo due to self esteem issues and that Ace thinks that Sabo was a better brother than him.
