It really shows that Stéphane is not a great father, because when Nick says "Bye, dad." he doesn't reply with a bi dad joke, which should be an irresistible opportunity

And more Isaac thoughts
The way he just lit up when he was introduced to asexuality and aromantism... How that was the piece he was drawn to.
Labels aren't everything but when you find that there is one for you, and that you're not wrong or broken or doomed to the narrative of "you haven't met the right person".
I spent my teen years and my 20s feeling all of that and I am so, so happy that the kids coming after have this rep and have these examples and I hope that they never feel broken or wrong or like they're behind on some grand plan because they haven't met the right person.

no but the way that being an aspec teenager is so isolating even when you have amazing, supportive friends that love you no matter what but they just. don't. get. it. and that no matter how loving and supporting they are they just can't help you because it's a journey you have to go on on your own and GOD. this goddamn show.

"i really hope you become a better person so you don't hurt anyone else, but i don't wanna be there to see it happen." i will be thinking about this for the foreseeable future

Dad, Charlie's my boyfriend. Surprise. I'm bi, he's gay. And I was actually really stressed out about how I was gonna tell you, but you know what? I don't care what you think about it anymore. 'Cause you don't care to even see us more than two times a year. And, you know, every time I do see you, I always think "This is it. This is the time when you might actually take an interest in my life", but you never do. So if you don't care, then ... then I don't care either.

What's it about?
Basically about my experience being aromantic and asexual.
Like, being in a world where romance and sex are prized above everything else when you don't feel those forms of attraction.
Growing up feeling that something about you is different, but you don't have the words to describe what that is.
But then, freedom. The euphoria of freeing yourself from those pressures and expectations.
