These 2 are in fact very similar. The only difference being one is entirely man made while the other is a chemical extract from “natural sources”. Both of them however, are formulas that contain anywhere between 50-100 ingredients 💯 ! Additionally, these extra ingredients are not as “pure or natural” as everything seems to think 🤔. • • • 2️⃣HONEY/AGAVE.. 🍯. Ahh this is quite a health fad. These “healthier” alternatives of sugar, aren’t actually that different at all! 🍪 They still contain lots of fructose, they spike your insulin lvls just as much & the “trace minerals” are practically nonexistent unless you consume them in a vast quantity. • • • 3️⃣EVAPORATED CANE JUICE 🥤. Quite a fancy name for plain sugar. All sugar is extracted from the sugar cane plant, the only difference is, white sugar is stripped from all TRACES of molasses. It’s basically just crystallized sucrose made to sound natural 🌱. • • • 4️⃣ARTIFICIAL FOOD DYES 🌈.. “Yellow 5”, “blue 1”... These are hidden in numerous of goodies. Used to give colour to products. Sadly, these food colourings have all been linked to cancer, brain tumors, allergic reactions etc. • • • 5️⃣HYDROGENATED FATS. Honestly, this deserves an entire post to itself 📝 . Search it up. You’ll understand that these fats are the type you should most certainly avoid. This is often used for its long shelf life in place of reg oil & because it’s cheaper. SOOO DECADENT & FUDGY (& secretly healthy + hclf) 🤤 Tag a chocolate/ sweet lover! • ❗️NEW YOUTUBE RECIPE VIDEO ❗️on these delicious oil-free, refined sugar-free, gluten-free (if you use gluten feee oats) decadent brownies! • 💕LINK IN BIO @theoddfoodie ! 💕 • You can’t even taste the secret healthy ingredient! ————————— 🌱INGREDIENTS 🌱 ————————— • 3/4 C Oat flour • 3/4 - 1 C Kidney Beans • 1/4 C Applesauce • 1 Large Cooked Sweet Potato * • 1/2 C Cocoa Powder • Add ins of choice ** • Additional Sweetener of choice *** • 1/2 tsp Salt • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract • Water if needed —————— 💡METHOD💡 —————— 1️⃣ Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees F. • • 2️⃣ Process the sweet potato & beans until a paste is reached w/ no more bean chunks. • • 3️⃣ Blend in the liquids then the dry ingredients. 💚**RECIPE BELOW** 💚 Now, I’m not a big fan of savory pumpkin 🎃 recipes but this pumpkin pasta sauce was absolutely delicious 🤤 • 💕FOLLOW @theoddfoodie FOR DAILY RECIPES/FACTS & TIPS 💕 • ———————— INGREDIENTS 🌱 ———————— • 300 g pasta • 2 C Pumpkin Paste 🎃 • 1+ C Non-Dairy milk 🥛* • 1/2-1 tsp Cinnamon • 1-2 Tbsp Applesauce ** 🍏 • 1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar • 1 tsp Cumin • 1-2 tsp Garlic (add more/less if desired) • 2 tsp Prepared Mustard • 1 Diced Tomato 🍅 • Other chopped veggies of choice (Peppers, Onion, Corn..) • Salt/Pepper to taste • Other spices if desired ———————— METHOD 📝 ———————— • 1️⃣ Cook pasta as per instructions on the box & drain out excess water💧 . • • 2️⃣ In a separate pan, add the rest of the ingredients, slowly pouring in liquids (stop when reached desired consistency) 🥣. • • 3️⃣ Mix on low to Medium high heat 🔥(just to heat the sauce up & blend all the flavors, cause it tastes so much better warm). • • 4️⃣ Adjust seasonings to taste 👅 . (You can get creative here) Add more of whatever you like.
