~Griffis Supspecies Height Comparison + Info~ ------------------------------------ Just doing this for fun~ I made this so I can use this to design more griffins oc if I want to save time. Also explaining the differences. Not just for these that I show here, also included for other bird species. Of course, I can't filled all in here. Just try and use common senses, if you can.

There's a few things that I explained based in my universe world, so, just want to make that clear.

Very small - HUMMINGBIRD

This also included other small bird species such as kingfisher, kookaburra, cockatiel, parakeet, parrotlet.

They have a certain natural ability based on what bird species they are; kingfisher griffins can catch fish. Kookaburra griffins can make loud and chaotic cry. And more.

Their small size makes it easy for them to fly swiftly or hide in small spaces. ------------------------------------

Medium small - OWL

This included all types of owl species out there.

They can fly without making a slightest sound of their wings flapping while flying.

Their common traits are usually quiet, watchful, sly and deep-thinkers. They seem more active hunting during night time, making them nocturnal creatures.

Owl griffins are considered as the calmest griffin compared to other subspecies griffins.

They are not usually aggressive and only do so when it's necessary like defending their home.

Despite also being considered as a predatory kind, they're pretty calm. ------------------------------------

Medium - MACAW

This included all types of macaw and medium-sized parrots species such as cockatoo, African grey parrot, scarlet macaw, black palm cockatoo and more.

Their habitats are usually in the jungle or rainforest.

Some have the ability to mimic sounds. Their special beak is for macaws, able to crack open any hard nuts easily, without any tools.

Their common traits can come in pretty friendly, intelligent, crafty and creative. They're considered as the smartest and creative subspecies of griffin. ------------------------------------

Large - NORMAL GRIFFIN

A common griffin, half eagle, half lion. However, this also included all types of eagle species, including hawk and falcons. Usually predatory birds.

This type of griffin has the biggest wingspan of all other griffins. A strong flier and the fastest flier than all other griffins.

They are also considered the strongest griffin subspecies.

They are also common subspecies and the most populated compare to other subspecies griffins.

Most of these griffins are very well known to hunt any certain food or animal easily. ------------------------------------

Medium Large - PEAFOWL

Male peacock griffins are usually a bit bigger than female peahen griffins.

However, this size can come from other types of bird such as Lyrebirds and birds of paradise.

Usually the royals are a bit bigger compared to it's average size.

Peafowl griffins are considered as the most beautiful creatures in Griffonia due to their unique pattern and colorful feathers.

Peacock griffin can fly but not as fast as other griffins. Peahen griffin cannot fly properly and can only glide.

Certain peafowl families will wear a certain gem on their forehead to easily identify their close relatives and family. This also to show off their beauty and high quality of themselves.

This has been going for many generations and now considered as their tradition.

Most peafowl are from the royal family. They live in a high ground place called The Proud Tree Kingdom.

They're usually very graceful, elegant, and well mannered. They always try to maintain their appearance to stay clean and beautiful to show that they are more superior than other griffins. ------------------------------------

Very tall and large - OSTRICH

Ostrich griffins are considered as the largest griffin subspecies.

They are also one of the griffins that cannot fly.

Females can have pale, pastel, whitish or brown color feathers, while males have dark coloring feathers.

However, as a normal ostrich would have, they're able to run fast compared to other griffins. Their highest speed limit is almost the same speed as the normal griffin's flying speed.

Most ostrich griffins participated in a racing sport game, and so were considered as professional racers.

These griffins can usually be found in many populations living somewhere in the desert western land, which is where the racing stadium for ostriches is located.

How I draw Height Differences!

A lot of people have been asking me about how I draw height differences between Ghost x Jade, so here I'm gonna try to explain my thought process!

Okay, so first, I need to visualize the height difference using a simulator. These simulators can be found online. Just search "height comparison" and there'll be lots of websites that provide these services. My fav deffo hikaku-sitatter.com/en or heightcomparison.com

Here're the screenshots! (Left is hikaku sitatter, right is heightcomparison

Now, it's important to put in mind that height comparison is NOT resizing the humans, it's the length differences of the body parts. Resizing the humans would result in one human's head too small and doesn't look natural.

Now that I have a visual reference, it's time to put Checkpoints! Basically checkpoints are the notes I keep in mind when drawing them, regarding what body parts align with what body parts.

Here's some Checkpoints I noted on GhostJade!

To put it into conclusion, the cause of Ghost's height advantage from Jade is the fact that he has longer spine and longer thighs! They still have the same knee height. Above that, Jade's limbs are shorter.

Now that we've got our checkpoints, let's see how I drew that Stab First Ask Later thingy!

thank you! and don't worry, your ask was perfectly understandable (AND you understood that terzos height in this was meant as a joke...some people did not get that and were a bit angry hehe).

as for their heights my usual HC for it is this: (i put them into heightcomparison .com for easier visualization and because they have imperial magic units in there too for our american friends

Primo used to be a bit taller but he's shrunk some with age, Secondo is A Unit(tm), terzo is a lil guy (he WILL generously round up) and copia is a bit taller.

Obviously people might disagree as they like, it's just *my* hc.

Made a thing for the Dormant Absolute Solver AU

N and Uzi are probably the closest to canonverse, but not 100% accurate (based off the Barbie movie themed promotional render & them standing next to each other during prom) bc I played with the numbers just a little.

The rest are pure headcanons.

Wanted to have a reference for Cyn compared to the rest of the Cast in the AU, to make writing description of her height or drawing her next to them easier.

The topic of Genji's height!

This part I copied from 2 reddit posts of mine a few months ago:

questions and discussion i guess? but how tall is Genji?

cuz i looked it up and read somewhere he's 5'7 but if brig is 6'3 and these two are right next to each other, like almost shoulder to shoulder ...how does he (at least to me) look a minimum of 5'9-5'10 maybe even 6ft if you push it?

additionally right before this in that scene he looks taller than Mercy(I've seen she's 5'7?), but that could be camera angle as she's like a foot or two away?

I'm so confused, I'm still learning about the characters and I've just heard so many different answers and nothing conclusive, and when i looked it up again i just found its apparently unknown? idk...

I swear they are forever making Genji taller, in some of the first pictures we have of the cyborg he's tiny, but over time dude gets sm taller! like in this photo from Recall he's like 5'8ish compared to mercy (who is in heels) but he's like a foot shorter then Cass even though Cass is 6'1.

then Genji standing next to brig (who is 6'3) in Zero Hour he's JUST shorter then her.

and from some research online Kiriko is also 5'7(ish), which makes this new post for the Collab event even more confusing!

i might be the only one who cares about this, but it is so confusing (and funny). He just seems to be getting taller!!! and we cant even say he was a teen at the time and hit a growth spirt or something since the recall picture, cuz he was like 25-27+ at that time from what i can tell. and its not that his cybernetic legs are just longer because to cause him to be this much taller, he would be so disproportionate!

They could be retconning his height some what? but I don't see why they would? overall...i just have no idea XD

its not perfect due to the cameras heights being at slightly different perspectives due to height differences, but I did match the bots height so they are all the same so its as direct of a comparison as I can do myself. I also didn't use Brig because I don't have any emotes for her.

Now we know Lw is 7ft tall, Hanzo is 5'8 and mercy is 5'7, but we don't actually know Genji's cannon height! and people say he's 5'7 but he cant be!

and then when you compare heights this is the only height for genji that really makes sense for this scale, but that even is odd because of Kiriko. SO THAT MEAN GENJI IS LIKE 6FT AND KIRIKO IS WAY SHORTER THEN FIRST THOUGHT?!?!?
