thank you so so so much for the request!! really liked the idea and I had fun making it. also I thought it would be fun if they were on the crushing stage, they obviously harbour feelings for eachother but like didn't tell yet. I made lyneys part significantly longer yet neuvillettes part is slightly shorter then I expected. hope it wasn't too bad <3 (I don't rlly like how it turned out help)

you struggled to keep your eyes open as you walked slowly in the direction of the chiefs justice house, it certainly didn't help that you barely remembered where he lived. you were at his house maybe once, and you didn't want to feel pushy so it didn't really bother you. however now you realized that maybe you should pay more mind to where he is located.
you sniffed, as tears flew on your cheeks, mixing with the rain after the trial. unfortunately or fortunately for you no one was on the streets this late at night meaning that no one will be able to help you, yet will be able to see how embarrassingly you walk.
after many turns and stumbles you made it to neuvillettes door, you leaned against the door frame, knocking weakly. the door opened surprisingly fast.
"dear? oh!" he gasped, grabbing your arm to keep you from falling.
"I didn't have anywhere else to go, i'm sorry." you whispered, he felt.. flattered? he was glad that you trust him yet he never imagined that he'd found out like that. seeing you hurt was not something he enjoyed.
"dont apologize." he murmured, before leading you to his couch, closing the door behind him. you saw him search for his first aid kick in the kitchen cabinet before coming back to you.
"what happened? how did it happen?" he asked as he gently pulled your sleeve up, eyeing your injuries.
"i just wanted to get some groceries, but before I knew it someone jumped on me, I don't know who I didn't see their face, pheraps it was the fatui but I doubt that what would they need from me? or pheraps it was some locals after a bit too much alcochol or-" you said hurriedly, before neuvillette hushed you telling you to calm down and so you did.
the room was silent, only the lamp in the corner of the couch turned on, it was comforting. maybe you'd enjoy it if you weren't in so much pain.
"im surprised that you know how to bandage people.. did someone taught you?" you asked him quietly, impressed by his skill.
"oh.. sigewinne taught me after i visited her in the fortress of meropide. although I didn't have anyone to test my skills on I believe that I know what Im doing." he looked at you, smiling slightly.
after some minutes the job was finished but neuvillette didn't let you go home, offering you a place in his bedroom as he, himself would sleep on the couch. you declined at first but gave in after you realized that the chief justice cares for you, flustered. before saying you goodnights neuvillette reasurred you that the person who hurt you would be punished.
in the morning the local newspaper was telling everyone to be careful and be cautious as someone is jumping people in fontaine..

the night was cold as you stumbled on your feet, struggling find your favourite magician. he just finished another of his magic shows that you were invited, however after you got ready and left your house you got cornered. you were left with bruises and small cuts all over your body, you lips and nose all covered in your blood and red eyes from crying when everything happened, it hurt so badly.
you sniffed as you remembered how lyney told you to be more careful at night, seemingly worried about you. telling you that there's some anonymous people cornering others and.. oh you were at his door. you weakly knocked.. no reply, you were shivering in cold as you didn't even realize it started raining. you decided to use the doorbell. soon after you heard footsteps from the inside, a crack from the door opening.
"oh my! what--how?" you heard his voice nervously struggle wit finding the right words. before you know it you were pulled inside with one of lyneys hand on your hip and on your shoulder. he pushed you gently onto the couch, looking at you horrified. you opened your mouth to speak but you nothing came out, your favourite magician already left in hurry to get his aid kick.
your eyes felt so unbelievably heavy, you almost couldn't keep them open but maybe just maybe you could close them for a wh-.
"hey, hey." you felt your chin being lifted. "i know you've lost a lot of blood just please, please try your best to not close your okay? okay." he said in a hurry. slowly and gently picking up your arm to bandage it.
"im sorry.." you managed to whisper quietly, weekly. "i just didnt have anywhere else to go.. i dont want to be a bother."
his expression softened as he heard you voice crack at the end of the sentence. "a bother? never." he said softly, looking at your weak self.
you don't know how much time has passed, seconds, minutes, hours. you were left all bandaged up, your nose no longer bleeding as well as your mouth. you were grateful for everything that he did for you, everything that he had to go through for you. you were so embarrassed, you didn't want to bother him you knew that he was tired after his magic show.
you found yourself too weak to go to your own house so lyney decided to let you sleep in his bedroom, in his bed and his softly whispering words of comfort to you before he turned off the lights and left the room.
"you'd never be a bother to me, and im glad that you decided to seek me and my help. i won't lie, i was slightly worried after you didn't show up at my magic show tonight, you usually always are there. and yet I have never thought of checking on you, it was my fault that you have such injuries, pheraps if i showed up you'd atleast have smaller injuries and id know who hurt you. but don't worry, I will find them and they won't see the sun ever again."

Hello! Can I apply for a general relationship hc with Lyney?
Ah yes, greatest magican, aka the rizzard. I should say that at the point of writing this, I still have not played his character story and have evaded spoilers for it very well so far, so if anything is not that accurate that's why. But I hope you enjoy these headcanons!

Let me start this off by saying. This man is an absolute simp for you. If he could, he'd buy you everything you could ever want or need in life.
He lives to see you happy, a day where he hasn’t made you smile and laugh is a day he considered wasted. If the people of Fontaines believe in justice is the power used to energise the technology in Fontaine, then your laughs and smiles are the power to energise Lyney.
Lyney always gives you a rainbow rose before every date. Sometimes he gives them to you like a normal person, most of the time though he will give them to you with a magic trick. You have no idea what he does to the flowers, but he has to do something with them since they never seem to wilt away. You once asked him how he did it and all he claimed was “They will bloom as long as I love you my dear, which means they will bloom forever.”
Surprising you with magic tricks is one of his favourite activities. He comes up with so many ideas that it is impossible to carry them all out. And poor Lynette always has to help him set up the ones he does carry out and has to be his assistant for them, even if she is hidden somewhere so you won’t see her. She loves her brother truly, but by the Archons his love sick self could be annoying.
Speaking of magic tricks, for every one of his shows he has a seat reserved for you. He is aware that you can’t go to every one of his and Lynette’s shows, but he still reserves a seat for you anyways. So that when you are watching them you are always in the same seat and he can easily find your eyes amongst the many people in the audience. He will look at you, and his eyes turn soft and his smile grows a bit wider.
And should he ever need an assistant from the audience? Well lets just say that whenever you are watching the number generator randomly picks you every time. What a coincidence right?
Walking through the streets of Fontaine while holding hands is a must for him. He wants everyone to see what an amazing partner he has. If it were up to him all of Teyvat would know that he is taken and absolutely enamoured by you.
Though it should be said that despite being absolutely in love with you, Lyney would not be in a relationship with you if his sister or brother couldn’t stand you. They are a big and very important part of his life, and anyone who does not like them has no place in his life and heart. Luckily for you Lynette likes you, she sees how happy you make her brother. Freminet appreciates that you do not force him to speak when he is clearly uncomfortable and is also grateful for you that you treat them all with respect and love.
Whenever you aren’t paying attention to your surroundings, be it because you are sitting somewhere and reading a book, engrossed in the story, or because you are cooking a meal for Lyney, his siblings and well yourself, he will sneak up on you from behind and wrap his arms around you, kissing your cheek as he laughs. You want to be mad at him for scaring you, but how can you when he laughs so happily and his eyes shine with love?
While Lyney obviously has many magic tricks he works on to show them in front of a big audience and always has Lynette as his assistant. There is one trick that he is currently planning where he doesn’t want an audience or an assistant for. 
What is that trick? Well let’s just say it has to do with a ring sitting in a small velvet box ;)

six u did it again. i'm reeling. ahem picture me at a lectern riffling frantically through the paper where i've written this speech
first of all !! i'm always impressed by how you manage to weave comedy and tragedy together so masterfully. like the lighthearted parts leave me so giddy i'm practically vibrating then the intense bits make my jaw shatter like a vase with how hard i'm clenching it like WOW. i am oscillating between two extremes like a pendulum !!!
'blushing like a maiden' and 'he shuts up immediately' made me holler your depiction of lyney is truly the correct one of all time
second of all !!! the fact you actually take the time to flesh out the side characters gives the story sooo much colour and life. like i usually have a gripe when it comes to fanfics that my favourites (in this case lynette) get overshadowed or mischaracterised in favour of the love interest but i never had that complaint with this series !! all the characters feel wonderful!!! the parallells you drew between lynette and arlecchino felt like a gourmet feast YOU COOKED ONCE AGAIN !!!!
third of all !!! the way you transitioned the series from beginning to middle to end was flawless. like genuinely. i usually struggle with the in between bits when i'm writing series but thawed is the perfect balance of beach episodes and plot episodes like actually. gobsmacked. even in the newest chapter i can sense the storyline coming to a close in the most satisfying way. kinda like reading agatha christie ngl
praying this is at least a little coherent but in case it's not : THAWED VERY GOOD !!! THAWED FANTASTIC !!!

thawed is such a HUUGE project. ive never finished a series before and it was so daunting writing the recent chapter bc i was just like This is so sloppy and lazy 😭 but to hear this (read??) makes me so happy truly !!!! i was so nervous to post this and im sure ill be even more nervous for the last chapter, but i feel much better now:’))

okay so in the archon quest right now im in liyue but thanks to the lovely tee she ran all the way to Fontaine for me and id have to say FONTAINE IS MY FAVOURITE PLACE. ITS SO CLEAN AND AESTHETIC AND BEING ABLE TO GO IN THE WATER WITHOUT DROWING IS AMAZINGGGGG>>>> I hate Sumeru. Sumer is just a big tree. I hate it. like I will be walking Sumeru, blink and id have fallen down into more jungle, wilddddd.
my favourite character out of the ones I have (which is like 15 people) is Keqing she was my first 5 star and she slays soooo hard. my fave character out of the people ive met so far in the archon is Zhongli and ningguang she is such a high value woman, SHE IS HANDS DOWN THE BADDEST BITCH ON THE GAME IDC NO ONE COMES CLOSE TO TOUCHING HER. and then my favourite character who I havent met yet is my new fave raiden, she is my new goal and I must aquire herrrr shes pretty, shes tall, shes electro, and I love her.

If you are into literature and a fan of a specific century, you can check out French Wikipedia and pick an author's name, or look up our architects, actors/actresses or directors from the early years of cinema, opera singers, composers, painters, fashion designers, historical figures, fictional characters, etc.
A few names I find super cool just based on how they sound: Debussy, Méliès, D'Orléans, Chateaubriand, Saint-Vincent, Yourcenar, Renoir, De Scudéry, Beaumarchais, Lautréamont, De Staël, Sévigné, De la Rochefoucault, Fontaine, Lumière, De Navarre, D'Aquitaine, Delacroix, Aragon, Géricault, Balzac.
Another few based on meaning: Lescaut (from Manon Lescaut, my favourite love story), Delcourt (from Nadja - André Breton, a foggy, surrealist love story), Dulac (after Germaine Dulac, one of the first female directors), Valmont (Malkovich's character in Dangerous Liaisons - Choderlos de Laclos, very deep character), De Bazan (after my favourite character in my favourite play, Ruy Blas - Victor Hugo), Villeneuve (the real name of Chris Marker, my favourite director).

Hello, could you discuss and share your opinions of the movie the virgin suicides? As in themes, characters and such
I love TheVirgin Suicides, it’s one of my favourite movies (and one of my favouritebooks) and probably the best book-to-screen adaptation I’ve ever come across.It’s rare that a movie adaptation captures not only the main plot of a novel but also its themes, tone and feel, but Sofia Coppola’s haunting screenplayand beautiful direction manage to perfectly capture the dream-like tone of thebook, the wry black humour of the narration and the voyeurism of the group ofboys watching the glittering sisters fade away into death.
Voyeurism isa big theme in the novel and in the movie, as the story of the sisters is toldentirely from the POV of the boys watching them from afar. More than that, themovie and the novel both contain commentary on the tendency of men to idealizewomen, to build them into fantasies and not know how to react when these fantasiesare either shattered or not lived up to. There are two very revealing scenesfrom the novel (also present in the movie, but without the boys’ narration theaudience doesn’t get the same impact) where the boys are forced to realisethat, rather than being five mythical and identical goddesses, the Lisbon girlsare five very different individuals, who have similar mannerisms, ideas,thoughts and dreams to the boys themselves. This realisation that the girls arehuman, that they exist in reality, that they are real, living, breathing girls,with their own personalities, looks and desires is treated as some sort of bigrevelation to the boys, only underlying how deeply they have idealised thegirls and the degree to which they have turned them into fantasies.
It’sinteresting that for a movie and a novel which contain five separate suicides,the topic of suicide is barely discussed or explored. Despite the title of thenovel, the suicides are not the focus of the story, nor is suicide an actualtheme throughout it. Instead, both novel and movie focus on the mundanerealities of life, the inertia of grief and the inability of a shelteredsuburban town to deal with something as horrifying as a young teenager takingtheir life. The story is peppered with inconsequential events, such as the boysclearing the dead bodies of the fish-flies left over from summer or MaryLisbon visiting the dentist to ask about the removal of two extra canine teeth,underlining why the town is so shaken by the suicides, how the deaths of the girls shattered the inertia of their sleepy lives.
There isalso a running question of why, asone of the biggest questions in the film and the novel is why Cecelia, thefirst sister to go, killed herself, and later on, why the rest of the girlsfollowed. Even as the boys investigate the girls’ lives, they find themselvesunable to comprehend why five young girls would choose to end their own lives.Stealing Cecelia’s diary, they find it to be absolutely mundane, filled withentries about what she and her sisters ate for dinner and talking in a dispassionatevoice about the dying trees on their street.
The boysresort to decoding notes sent to them by the girls, stealing articles ofclothing, desperately trying to glean information from classmates who knew themand boys who dated them, yet at the end of the day, we are never given ananswer. While it’s easy to theorise why the four sisters committed suicide atthe end of the film, having been incarcerated by an over-bearing and overtlyreligious mother, suffocating in a house which was slowly rotting from the inside, we are nevergiven a solid answer, an absolute resolution. Even more mystifying is theyoungest Lisbon’s suicide, as Cecelia’s violent end comes about with noexplanation and no analysis. In fact, the memory of Cecelia fades over thecourse of the movie and novel, so that by the time the other Lisbons join herin death, the boys and by extension their parents and the neighbourhood, haveall but forgotten the original suicide which started it all.
Anotherinteresting aspect to both the film and the novel is that there is no clearprotagonist. The movie pushes Lux to the forefront, focusing on her briefaffair with the high school heartthrob Trip Fontaine, but even the film refusesto nominate a central figure, a hero or heroine whom we are supposed to rootfor and become invested in. Instead, the boys who narrate the events of thefilm/novel function as a single voice, never allowing the viewers to get toknow them and their individual personalities. Because of the way in which thegirls are watched but never known by the boys, their individual personalitiesare only guessed at, glimpsed rarely and never explored.
In adifferent story, this lack of protagonist would detract from the feel and tone but given that a central theme in The Virgin Suicides is apathy and the waycertain events shake one out of such a state, it works well, as it invokes that feeling in the audience. We don’t know who we’re supposed to carefor, what we’re supposed to be rooting for, what climax we wish to reach. Assuch, much as with the characters in the story, when the girls do killthemselves, it jolts the audience out of its apathy in the most effective manner.The comfortable, languid feel which the film produces is shattered in its finalmoments, leaving the viewer unsettled and even somewhat unsatisfied.
All thisaside, The Virgin Suicides is a gorgeously made film. Sofia Coppola’s dream-likedirection works beautifully for the film. Set in an idyllic town in the 1970s, herwarm colours, soft, lingering shots and focus on showing rather than telling helps to create a real feel for the time and place in which the story unfolds.Through her script and soft-focus direction style, Sofia manages to seamlesslyreplicate not only the events of the novel, but the tone and feel, which I feelis even more important. An undercurrent of wry, black humour runs throughoutthe novel, and Sofia translates that to the screen by wonderfully castingGiovanni Ribisi as the voice of the boys’ narration, his drawling, gravellytone perfectly matching the dark humour of the script.
The film isalso wonderfully cast, with an effervescent Kirsten Dunst leading the sistersas the glittering Lux Lisbon, Kathleen Turner and James Woods wonderfullyplaying the controlling and repressed parents who cannot understand why theirdaughters would take their own lives, and Josh Hartnett perfectly embodyingthe teen heartthrob Trip Fontaine. The supporting cast, which includes a youngA.J. Cook, plays off nicely opposite the main cast, and everyone in thefilm brings their own unique take to characters who are actually somewhatunder-developed, making them more appealing and real than their novelcounterparts.
At the endof the day, The Virgin Suicides is an amazing movie and a fantastic adaption ofa novel which, in the hands of a lesser director, could have been an incrediblyheavy and maudlin affair. As it stands, The Virgin Suicides is a wry, soft, attimes inappropriately funny film, leaving the audience unsettled but alsoentranced, and is definitely a film which deserves the praise it has received.
