across the spiderverse is rotting my brain from the inside out

ive updated my old spidersona (lennie anthony, the wolf spider) but now shes got an ally, her younger sister: reese anthony, the dart spider.

lennie is actually the second spider man, with reese being the first. reese doesn't have any unique powers, shes just a normal human and her main piece of gear is her set of four grappling hooks

lennie is the one who was bit by the spider. along with the usual spider man power set, lennie can see in the dark and her eyes glow in low light. she's also has paralyzing venom and a retractable stinger in the palm of each of her hands. lastly she can camouflage herself and suit by changing colors. its color based camouflage so its easier to spot when she's moving

Some facts about cause my handwriting sloppy lol:

Would be Afro-Arab-Malaysian in human au hence her (hopefully accurate) police uniform, is demiromantic asexual

I based her personality off of Basira Hussian from the Magnus Archives, refers to everyone with the exception of her coworkers by their railway numbers (or professionals)

She’s the strict mother/nenek figure, gives out tough love and advice despite understanding the situation, she can’t help it as she helped trained Joey alongside Lenny 

She’s totally the ““work first play/personal relationship and issues” later type of person, has extermely high expectations placed on herself and of others, takes the newcomers under her wing despite her off putting look

However she can get irritated over common simple mistakes, granted cause of the profession with crime and life on the lines but she does forgive in her own way 

Uptight, stern, a bit of a perfectionist but has a dry sense of humor and can be rather sarcastic and snarky, never smiles much 

Despite this, she’s very loyal and protective of her fellow colleagues despite how exasperated and annoyed she gets with their antics in their free time 

She has a respectable reputation despite her personality being nearly everyone being intimidated by her

Will kick Johnny Cuba in the no no space for everything he has done and caused such as the death of Agent Lang, threatening and blackmailing Arthur and ““raising” Fred

If faced with the supernatural paranormal stuff cause let’s face it they deal with that a lot, she’s doesn’t react and instead just charges in, spirits are frightened of her lmao

Lenny closed her hands around the set of keys Billy held out to her—one for the building’s front door, another his apartment—and Billy waved her off like it was nothing, but it wasn’t nothing to Lenny. 

“But really, Billy, you don’t have to—”

Billy shook his head, stopping her before she could formulate a real argument. “I’m going back over there. What’s the point of it sitting empty if you could use it? Working on that thesis, you’ll have more late nights than ever.”

Lenny sighed, she couldn’t deny that he was right—some people had things easy senior year, but her schedule was packed and she was working on her thesis and she’d been dreading the end of her Thursday nights at Billy’s apartment, a convenience that shortened her round-trip commute by over an hour, but this felt somehow like too much, like taking advantage. 

“Alright, look. Think of it as you doing me a favor. If you have a key and are stopping by once in a while, I’ll rest easy knowing the plant will be well taken care of, right?” he said, nodding towards the planter on the windowsill, gifted to him shortly after Lenny started hanging out so often at his place, after deciding the place was too gray, too modern, too devoid of warmth and life. “Come on, Len, do a guy a favor and save him the trouble of finding a plant sitter.”

“Are you sure?” Lenny asked, looking away from him as she fumbled around in her bag for her key ring.

Billy scoffed, shaking his head. “Sure, I’m sure,” he said, reaching out and taking both his keys and hers from her hands, quickly slotting the keys to his apartment beside the keys to Frank and Maria’s house. “I’m very attached to Phil.”

“Phil?”

“Yeah, Phil,” Billy said with a shrug, nodding towards the windowsill. “That thing you got me's a philodendron, ain’t it?”
