Kenta’s weekend away - day 4

It’s the final day ! And the spirits are lower than usual... Mostly, the teens are ready to go home. It’s been a weird four days, a bit more intense than what everyone was expecting.

Kenta and Masami now seem to not talk to each other anymore, the bad feelings are too strong to pretend...

The only ones who seem really happy with this trip, overall, seem to be Taku and Nanami, who are just as usual, lost in each other’s presence.

Everyone packs up quite quickly, the beds are made and Kenta’s hoping he’ll see that fox again before he leaves. He needs a sign, any sign, to make sure he did the right thing and didn’t create all this hurt for nothing... But he doesn’t get to see any foxes that morning, and they head out to the park for their last morning in Henford-On-Bagley. They have a while to wait before they get picked up by the small bus, but of course, Nami has everything planned and plays a movie on the big removable screen at the park so that their wait time feels shorter.

Kenta’s forced to sit on the floor, trying to avoid being too close to his now ex-girlfriend. He doesn’t mind, as he’s not too into the movie at all. Instead, he’s looking around at the incredible nature around him. So different from his home, yet just as beautiful ! And then, something catches his attention.

A rabbit ! He has been trying to spot one the whole time, but couldn’t see the elusive little creature until today. He approaches it and it seems very friendly !

He got to actually confide his problems to this little friend and it made him feel so much better.

As usual, Mother nature coming to take care of Kenta, right when he needs it <3

After the movie finished, they all took commemorative pictures of the trip, then went home an hour later.

Hello everyone, Giuliabuilds here!

Here's a build I started working on before the new game pack came out (so it doesn't have any item from My Wedding Stories): a Modern Family Cottage, made with no CC! It’s built in Henford on Bagley on a 40x30 lot; it has everything you need for a perfect family, including two living rooms, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a study area and plenty of indoor and outdoors activities :)

I’ve used no CC gallery art by: evarotky, cribea9, sarinasims, cicosims, fruitloops40, holyshmowow.

It’s CC free and all the packs I’ve used are listed down below + all the instructions to download it. I hope you’ll like it!

Kenta’s weekend away - day 3

That morning, Kenta woke up very homesick. He didn’t think it’d hurt him that bad, but he is really missing his family... So he decides to go for a walk around and have a moment in nature, all by himself.

He ends up bumping into Miki, next to the waterfall, and without exchanging many words, they both understand that the other’s not having a great time. Kenta gestures to the stars, as an invitation, and they both lie down to look at the sky as the sun rises. Peaceful, quiet, shared contemplation.

When they get back to the BnB, they start getting ready for the day out at the park that was planned for that day. Everyone’s buzzing with excitement, tonight they’re going to go bowling and clubbing, since Nanami learned from the new friend she made yesterday that one of the bars in the town allowed teens in after dark.

The day is spent enjoying the nice weather and acting like when they were kids, as always, doing their favorite activity when they’re all together : throwing waterballons at each other.

And the excitement for the night out is through the roof. “What are you gonne wear Nami ?” asks Miki. “Well I heard it was 80s night tonight, so I guess we’ll have to find ourselves some retro looking outfits !” “But we didn’t take that much clothes with us on this trip, I don’t know how far we can take this theme...” “We’ll rock it, don’t worry love !” answers Nanami, super confident, as always.

As night falls, they get back to the house, and Kenta isn’t really feeling the vibe, he’s not sure he wants to spend too much time prepping for tonight, so instead, he takes a moment to look at the sky through the best tool ever. A non-oversized object, for once.

And this second momnet of peace of the day really allows him to put some things in perspective. The situation he’s in makes everyone uncomfortable. He was trying to let it happen thinking at least it would make Masami happy, but she’s not blind, she can feel something’s wrong. This isn’t right for anyone...

Before he knows it, the others are ready and everyone is heading to the club. “Alright, let’s enjoy the night, not make this a bad memory for anyone, and tomorrow morning, I’ll speak to Sami.”

Taku and Kenta team up, and in the end, it’s only them left at the bowling alley, everyone else’s left for the bar. But they take this very much as a victory !

When the two boys come to join the others, Kenta bumps into Miki and decides to thank her for being very nice that morning and not mocking him when he explained that he was feeling a bit homesick... Thanks that quickly turn into a hug, because the atmosphere is just so convivial, he can’t help himself.

It is an innocent hug, a thank you, a friendly accolade. But someone else could see it a bit differently...

“You know I would never make fun of you, especially for something like that !” says Miki with a nice smile. But before Kenta can answer, Gabe comes over while dancing and hypes everyone up for a group demonstration of the choreography they used to always do when they were kids.

Everyone ends up on the dancefloor and crisis is avoided ! “Hey, great idea dude, we did awesome, all had perfect rythm, just like when we were 11 !” laughs Kenta.

Gabe doesn’t say anything about what he thought would have happened if he didn’t pull everyone to the dancefloor before Masami reached Kenta and Miki. But he hopes they can settle all of this soon enough.

After a while, everyone gets back to the bar area, and while Masami seems happier now that Miki and Kenta keep a reasonable distance between them, Nanami comes up to the bartender and hears the conversation of the two men next to her... Turns out they’re the owners of the BnB ! And they could out them to their parents about the underage drinking if they recognized them !!!

Everyone packs up and the night finishes there and then. But not for everyone, as on the way back, Masami starts to slow down and calls Kenta to the back of the group.

He has a feeling this isn’t going to be a pleasant conversation, but he slows down so she can reach him.

“What’s going on Kenta ? I thought we’d been over this. I can’t spend my life in fear that you’ll be hanging around with other girls. Especially Miki. - Well... What am I supposed to do Sami ? Not aknowledge her, act like she’s not one of my best friends ?”

“I don’t know, maybe not making me feel like I’m crazy would be a great start... After all, it’s not like you’re trying your best to keep it platonic, right ? Giving out hugs in a bar, only looking at her when she’s in the same room, never talking about me or us when she’s around ? - I’ve never done any of these things on purpose, you know that... - I don’t car if you’re doing it on purpose or not Kenta, the fact is, you ARE.”

“I know you’re probably right, the thing is... I can’t help it. See the thing is, you’re the best, I enjoy doing things with you, but I just don’t... - Don’t say it Kenta, don’t break my heart...”

“It’s not you, honestly Sami... - Seriously, that’s what you’re choosing to say to me right now ? Obviously, it’s me, since you’re able to fall in love, simply it has to be with someone else ! - You’re totally a catch, I swear ! Actually, I probably should tell you this, but it might help : Gabe has like the biggest crush on you.”

“I don’t give a damn Kenta ! God you’re really bad at communicating, aren’t you ?! I just can’t believe you’re trying to pawn me off now ! - It’s not like that, I just... I’m sorry, I simply don’t think we should have gotten together in the first place to be honest with you, and I don’t know why we did... I’d rather we had just stayed friends...”

“I... Fine, let’s just forget we were ever in a relationship to begin with, if that’s what you want.”

Masami’s heart was broken, but at last, Kenta had been true to himself, and to her. And in the end, that’s really the best he could do.
