Hello friends,

This is certainly not the update you all were hoping for, but I've put a lot of thought into it...

Unfortunately, I've decided to finally put this game to rest. While I have written more for the update I said I'd get to and post around Thanksgiving, I just can't seem to wrangle the story in the way I originally planned.

My writing style has changed, the things I want from stories has changed, the state of the world has changed, and while I had some truly exciting and ambitious plans for the this story, ultimately I have changed too much to feel good about continuing this game. I want to give you a game that's fun for you, but also that I have fun making, and I've unfortunately spent too much time fretting about it to feel good about it anymore.

I am sorry to disappoint and have dreaded quitting this game for so long because I did put years and years of planning and thought and effort into it. Perhaps one day when I know how to rewrite things to get them in the direction I want, I'll pick this back up. But I'm making no promises, and that's a huge 'perhaps'. As I said, I've changed.

Feel free to ask any questions; I'm happy to answer them. Even spoilers for where the story was going. I had such plans.

Thank you so much for your support over the years. You're all wonderful people who helped my confidence in sharing my work grow. I hope you'll all be there for the next project I bring to the table, and I've learned so much from this experience, so I can only hope my next one is even better!

it's probably gonna be really hard to find it from my description cuz it's been a while and even I am not sure whether or not my memory of it is correct but

I'm trying to find an if where the MC is in some kinda school/school-like environment. I think part of the if is about this trial they're taking, and the vibe of the trial itself feels very dreamy. I think in the trial there were sections and such and depending on where you decide to go something will be determined??

it's so vague and idk if it even makes any sense but I'm hoping for the best lmao ^^;;

Hello, everyone. I’m gonna start doing progress updates every so often just to give you guys an idea of how we’re coming along. To hold myself accountable too lol

So:

I’ve gone back through both prologue parts and done a little bit of editing. There’s still more to be done there, but I’m thinking a lot of it needs a re-write and things are going to tie in more with part 1 so….I’m leaving it how it is for now.

Started writing part 1 ch 1! There’s not a whole lot yet, but it’s there!

Got a good outline going and reworked some plot points, changed a few things around, background stuff but hey, there’s stuff!

Added some more interesting ideas too. After sitting on the story for 4 years, I definitely forgot what I was doing with a lot of it…but essentially things are going in the same direction, don’t worry.

I’d said earlier that I’ll do a part 1 update around the end of November and that would complete the alpha, but honestly the release schedule might differ depending how writing goes. Sometimes chapters take on their own minds, and I already knew this story was going to be LONG, but I’m not sure how breaking it up will go best until more is actually written. Part 1 will be several chapters, so I might do chapter updates until I feel comfortable leaving you guys on a cliffhanger for the full game!
