Having my name in the credits as the Makeup and Hair Artist of this project associated with the @HBO show @HereandNowHBO is so incredible. I’ve worked toward something of this magnitude with a major TV/Cable network for many years. It was such an incredible event with amazing storytellers, a podcast, photo shoot and Zine to promote the thought provoking show, #HereandNow airing on HBO, starring Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins. This wasn’t just any gig for me. It hit very close to home. It was the gig that defines why I’m picky about which jobs I take and the people I work with (Kelly Woo, you set the bar high). I highly recommend getting your hands on this Zine - especially if you’re from a blended family, multi-cultural family, are adopted or have adopted siblings, have adopted or are thinking about adopting...Really everyone can benefit from looking at our society through the lens of family whether bio, multi-ethnic, blended or all of the above and the forces in those family dynamics that shape us.
