drawing human versions of non-human characters has never been my thing but with tf i find it fun to explore holoforms

some of these headshots are quite old and from different artworks which is why the styles/quality varies but i liked them enough to include them in the collage (i was also too lazy to redraw them)

notes about some of the designs under the cut if ur curious:

-rodimus is explicitly inspired by 80s glam rock. i took quite a bit of inspiration from david bowie, prince, and a little bit of ruby rhod from 5th element.

-im mexican. i wanted starscream to look like an evil stepmother straight out of a telenovela. i think the vibe fits her

-ratchets design keeps eluding me and im still not satisfied with it, but its important to me that he is always a fat hairy bear.

-i didnt like jlaw's art of human roller being generic skinny-buff. i made this one out of spite.

-though its only a headshot for now, arcee's design is also a bit 80s-90s inspired. she has fingerwaves, which i hope comes across in the art

-i ran out of time (patience), but minimus' outfit is supposed to be old west inspired. i'll make a better version of it another time

Mostly he just loathes himself and is what Anne Carson would call a "pain devil," but yes, probably that too, ambivalently.

Girl help I can't stop thinking about HF Ironhide being lazy and putting his big arms around Optimus and Ratchet to keep them in bed

There have been plenty of times Ratch or Optimus were nearly late to work because their mountain of a husband wouldn't let them go.

Do you think when they wake up, they have to do so quietly and very gently shimmy out of bed so as not to wake Ironhide?

It's common in the morning for Hide to trap one of them in a bear hug, and they have to beg their free lover for assistance. Like Hide has Ratch pinned to his chest, and Ratch is begging OP to free him. But OP just smiles and waves him off.

"You're on your own, love." This is mainly so OP can start the coffee maker and get to the shower first while the water is still hot.

Then a few mornings later OP will be trapped and Ratchet refuses to assist. It's a game for them.

Inbox AU stories Back in October 2022, someone sent a message about what would happen in a Shattered Glass version of what I wrote and it snowballed into multiple AU storylines.

Anon SG fanfic emporium (Astoria, Raoul, and Jazz get stuck in the SG universe storyline, madness ensues. This has two versions, the regular TF version and humanformers. Gets dark at times.)

Actor AU (The anon SG fanfic is a TV show and this is about the actors behind the show.)

Normalverse (Just scenarios that could hypothetically happen in the regular universe)

Tragedy switcheroo AU (Jazz, Chromia, Courtney/Cover Girl, and Drift die instead of their partners from the '86 movie)

+ makes me want to write hf fic every time you post art. this counts as problematic on account of how it is a problem for me personally.

+ keeps talking about ratchet's dick and scaring everyone. possibly just one person over and over, on second thoughts. unsure.

+ keeps making me feel SOFT about TERRIBLE WAR CRIMINALS by making them cuddle. this applies to both taraprowl and prowldome, it is Double Problematic

+ one time i checked my phone in public and saw that pin up springer art and nearly dropped my phone

Here’s something different - a review and not a verse. Bluegrass Rogue helmet I can’t remember the last time I bought a new helmet. My last one came from Facebook Marketplace and it was probably a few years old when I bought it, using it then for a few years. This is ill advised. Like all things, helmets have a useable life and need to be changed regularly. After all, it’s there to protect your brain… This helmet has a contemporary style and the colouring is quite eye catching. There are more subtle colours if that’s your thing. It is comparatively light for a helmet and it sat well on my rough head. I was a little cynical - it felt a little large, even when I used the ratchet style circumference adjustment. This was soon overcome when I used it on a ride. It seemed to disappear and more than once I thought that I had forgotten my helmet… Inside is what is called the MIPS system, en extra structural layer to further proect you from concussion if you fall off your bike. An amazing feature is the chin strap, which uses a magnet to attach the two sides, then a clever quick release when you want to escape. I suspect some form of magical squirrels were involved. The airflow was also better than I expected. Many times I could feel the air moving across my flowing locks. This helmet comes in small, medium nd large sizes to suit a variety of noggins. The price was a little over $200 - not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive. I was happy to pay a little more so that I had advanced protection should I ever need it, but wasn’t tempted by the more expensive options because I could so no real incentive for the higher price. 27. Their guilty pleasure

Ratchet’s guilty pleasure is smoking. He still tries to hide it from Drift, bless him, but there’s very little you can hide from a former contract killer who reads auras. He has learned not to point out the irony of Drift’s disapproval, given the amount of weed Drift smokes (“That’s therapeutic, Ratty”).

Drift's guilty pleasure is biting. He just loves biting Ratchet! In bed! And feels terrible about it when he sees the toothmarks! (Ratchet doesn't mind.)

Prowl has no guilty pleasures because Prowl is pathologically incapable of experiencing guilt.

3. Obscure headcanon: I've mentioned this before, and ya'll probably think it's silly as hell, but Bay!Ratchet enjoys listening to disco. I HC this because his voice actor was predominantly active in the 70s, and I can see Ratchet bopping around to Earth Wind and Fire.

I don't think Ratchet would like 80s pop music. We already know he hates some of Bumblebee's music choices, one of which being the song "I'm so Excited" (this is canon to the Classified novels).

15. Worst thing they've ever done: I'm gonna go with what I said about HF Ratchet on that previous ask. Ratchet will do anything to save a patient. Life is precious to him. And any patient he loses hurts. But at the same time, Ratchet understands that to prevent further suffering, sometimes he has to break his oath. It's not something he does easily or without regret.

49. Favorite toy as a child: I don't know what kind of toys a young Cybertronian would play with, but Ratchet strikes me as the kind to enjoy tinkering with small engines and mechanical parts to see how they work. He loves learning, so books/data pads would probably have filled his quarters.

The only question I have is do we get hot impactor ass like we did with ratchet, Optimus, and Ironhide?

HF Impactor doesn't exist yet, nor is he Bayverse so he won't be drawn butt naked yet 😔

Maybe someday I'll make a design for the two and 100% give Impactor a killer mohawk but for now, they're staying as bots
