lightray solo. theres an article floating around about DC characters who've never received solos and it remarks that while Lightray is overdue, writing a genuinely nice hero would be too hard for most authors and ive been so mad forever

ive had an idea for a lightray-centric book for years now of him escaping one of desaad's labs deep underground with a half-dissected father box that he doesnt really trust but is his only ally, while orion searches tirelessly for his lost friend while someone (maybe kaiyo?) plays mind games on him. well i think itd be fun

if you were in charge of reintroducing Jared to the modern dcu what would you do w/ him?

hmmm im honestly not sure if theres a way to insert jared into the current dc continuity which is a shame. i think unless khalid gave up the helmet (which.... nah) there wouldnt be need for another fate and i dont think jared would be willing to fight a college student for like supernatural powers that he didnt really want in the first place. if hes a former fate then it would maybe be like a quick appearance. maybe one of those canon-adjacent-but-not-really young animal type comics would work w him and the scare tactics crowd. khalids existence like just throws a wrench into like the possibility of jared unfortunately

The first four blue & gold icons are Kevin Maguire art from the Super Buddies minus, though I can’t place specific issues off the top of my head. The next two look like Doug Mahnke art from Martian Manhunter #24. I can’t place the last two unfortunately even though they I know I’ve seen them before.

ok i just answered this w tkmm which is sooo #1 i hate it but. 2nd up would probably be tkom caus that one like. the original OM isnt exactly GOOD but its so hard to explain how much worse the tk one is. which like its a very badly written comic i cant imagine needing further "made lore much worse" context but
