random Victim headcanons

Rather than each being their own separate beings, like clones, each copy of Victim that gets pulled out of the item library shares a consciousness with the original. Compartmentalization allows Victim to maneuver each body as an individual, with that body receiving only its own sensory input and none from any of the other copies. This also allows the minds of each copy to function somewhat independently; enough so, that each iteration of Victim forgot that if one copy had information that the others didn’t, the info could be shared through the mental link, rather than through external communication. 

Victim isn’t the one who starts fights, instead taking an “eye for an eye” view of things. Unfortunately, Victim has a very...broadly-ranged and vague qualification system for what actions can be considered “starting a fight,” including things as petty as being bapped on the head with a cardboard paper tube. Victim will respond to any perceived physical attack with proportionate retribution, and will relentlessly continue until the attacker concedes or is objectively defeated. 

Victim is a very tactile person. It’s unknown whether Victim was always like this, or if this tendency developed from years of being lost to the void after being unsaved. Victim has a sometimes intense appreciation for texture, no matter what kind, as long as there’s variety. Fuzzy, fluffy, bumpy, bristly, rough, grainy, what have you. Victim’s got a fondness for things like fleece, and suede, and tassels on woven fabric, and sea glass. 

By contrast, Victim’s flavor palate tends to prefer simpler fare. Foods and dishes with strong or diverse tastes can be overwhelming, making them difficult to eat even if Victim likes them. Drinks, however, are more easily enjoyed, and Victim has a preference for hot drinks, such as tea and cocoa. 

Victim has a habit of thinking aloud, when alone.

Victim takes up quilting, as a hobby. Something about planning out the patterns and sorting and choosing the cloth is calming. 

Victim is not used to...having things. Any item that Victim forms an attachment to is carried on Vicitm’s person at all times, or at least kept where Victim can constantly see it. Outside of this tendency, Victim is actually rather ascetic, tending to appreciate things in the moment before moving on without them.

Despite being generally ignorant of social graces due to years in isolation, Victim knows how to properly greet people when initially meeting them. Victim’s first interaction with another stickfigure was with a Victim duplicate, after all, and being able to experience both sides of the exchange simultaneously was very informative. Once Victim is familiar with a person, though, greetings tend to be forgotten in favor of blurting out whatever Victim has on mind at the moment with no preamble. 

Victim feels restless in wide-open, expansive spaces. Being in the infinite, fathomless void for so long will do that. Instead, Victim has an appreciation for small, snug places. 

Victim doesn’t have an impressive vocabulary, and tends to use simple language when attempting to communicate things. Despite this, Victim also cares very much about imparting an intended meaning effectively, which can lead to some pretty unusual but also somehow accurate descriptions. 

Victim’s resentment towards noogai starts with getting tumbled carelessly over in the symbol selection box, and ends with being unsaved. Anything that happened after that, Victim doesn’t hold noogai responsible for. 

Victim will tell anyone that noogai lost their fight. Unsaving Victim was the quitting cheat of a discontented loser. Whether Victim actually believes this is anyone’s guess. 

The change from “victim” to “Victim” was subconscious, and so gradual that Victim can’t pinpoint an exact moment when the revised identity was consciously embraced.
