Theory - plot is pretty much revealed

We have pretty much been given the plot.

The Hint

Job is a psychiatrist and is doing his research on patient experiences after a cardiac arrest.

Patient 1 - At the time i did not feel anything. It was all black. When i woke up, I was on the operating table and incubated.

Patient 2 - I saw bright light and explains out of body experience. She saw people in white.

Patient 3 - I don't know what happened. I lived life normally. But it was my life in the past. Like the past was playing again in my mind. That feeling felt very real. But one thing did not feel real. I could see 4 minutes into the future.

And, how did we start this show?

A senior doctor entering a vip room, with number 4...and if you are paying attention, it is bible on the bed..dying of heart issues. Everytime we get a flatline, scene cuts to jess/tyme being shot!

What is happening is that Great/Bible is on the operating table in room number 4, and doctor is shocking his heart. Whatever we are seeing are Bible's thoughts at the time he is on the operating table - the past before him reaching the operating table.

He is living his life normally but time flow is not normal because we are in a dream/thought world. Events jump back and forth. He can see into the future because it is his past and his mind already knows what is going to happen (room # 4, why starting with accident because the event let him meet Jess back in the past).

And, everytime he gets a shock on operating table, we see him get a heart attack in the lift or wherever. ( Now, if you are wondering why is time gap so large between shocks/heart palpitations in his "regular world".. lol.. because we are not in regular world.. we are in his thoughts.. ofcourse timeflow will be different.. you can think of a million things in nanosecond)

So, overall i think every patient's experience is going to matter. E.g. the religious one who had out of body experience tells us that either bible will have out of body experience or like her, he is also seeing what is most important to him - his love of life Jess and events linked to him - from meet, greet, to end.

Jess died (and eerily same place where dad is running shady business by a man wearing the black suit).....

She DIED. that's why bible had the premonition twice... because that happened!.. he can wish for an alternate ending in his mind/dreams but she died... eventually his mind will have to adjust to reality.

However, Jess is not dead because his killing is happening at the same time while Bible is on the operating table... so yea.. he is going to save Jess somehow...

Seraph was busy with his prayers, both to Winter and Pharasma. Even if he hadn't heard from them since they left Rivera, it didn't stop him from his usual rituals. Did Sebastian sometimes terrify him? Absolutely, but then again, first meeting his father had been terrifying and even if he knew Winter would never harm him, it didn't change the fact that he was capable of a great deal of destruction if he wished it.

"I guess, after coming back, while it was only a few months for you all, for me, years passed. It felt nice to come back to a regular timeflow. My only regret is that I wasn't fast enough to prevent Lenora's death...Even if I don't necessarily agree with how she treated you."

Seraph doesn't really know Sebastian, and maybe some would say that he's a bit foolish to try and befriend a spirit he doesn't know too well.

"I want to be your friend because I guess...I wouldn't want your only experience to be akin to a master and servant relationship. Not to mention, I guess I see a similarity in us kind of figuring out who we are? With you gaining more and more insight to yourself, while I'm trying to find out who I am outside of my various duties. A life spent in servitude isn't much of a life, I suppose."

Even now, the elf thinks about himself, wondering who he was outside of his devotion to Pharasma and his newfound status as the Champion of Winter. If he spent most of his life serving...Would he ever have time to appreciate his friends? His loved ones?

"Eternal servitude doesn't sound appealing to me. I think that if I burned away all of myself, and focused purely on what I needed to do, I would wind up miserable and regretting not spending enough time with those I love. I know I'm going to outlive Soup and Sino, I don't like it, but I can't ignore the truth of the matter. I will outlive them, and I can't stop the passage of time, as much as I may want to."

Even now, during their time in Abarlio, most of their, "vacation" had been spent fending off attacks from the Cetaceans, rogue spirits and helping yet another spirit gain a form of actualization of their self. Soren comes to mind, and he wonders how the spirit is doing. Elise and Antonio were family, the girl had latched onto him and in turn, he was a new father.

"We haven't had any real time to rest. I'm sure that at some point, we'll have an actual vacation where we won't have to fight for our lives, or prevent the destruction of a city. But, gods above, I'd like time to just have a real date, with dinner and maybe a night under the stars."

Seraph feels a growing irritation, and he can't stop the rant that he feels coming.

"My relationship with Soup is more or less physical and I can't even settle down to actually ask him what he wants out of what we have, and it doesn't help that he's reminded me that I'm going to outlive him either...And Sino...I don't know where to begin, I know that emotionally, I have a closer connection, and I worry for them. Maybe it's because I see a lot of myself, with their devotion to work, but I can't judge because it's not like I actually say what I mean or need to say enough. I'm a mess, mentally, and for the rest of my foreseeable life, I'll have to live with the fact that a chaos god has taken residence in my mind, and is waiting for whatever moment he can to take me over."

Seraph stops his rambling for a moment to notice his left hand coated in ice. He sighs, before he knocks his hand against the table, knocking it off and shaking the last shards off.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to just...dump all of that on you, Sebastian. Like I said, I want to be your friend because I want to. You're kinder than you think, and even if other spirits find you intimidating, I'm happy to help you whenever you need it, or just to be a listening ear."

hi! i just read your Compartment 451 fic on ao3 & i just wanted to say some words :)

this is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful story. my feelings towards harry potter are — well, mixed at best, but there will always be a little piece of me that adores it. this was so nostalgic for me, personally, as someone who knew (and still knows) so much trivia about it, so all the little nods to hp canon were downright delightful and having dean feature prominently makes me smile even more.

the boys' friendship is so delightful — being in different houses but still prioritising meals with one another, having their own little room, zayn inventing the cards to help them communicate. louis's what are they going to do, kick me out? attitude made me laugh, and little elijah just straight up stole my heart. also, the matching 451 tattoos for the compartment!! i love it.

but ziam. oh wonderful ziam. the fic being told from zayn's perspective works so well, and zayn coming in as a muggleborn and being so unapologetically comfortable with being muggleborn in a world of magic!! i love it, i love it so much. liam's speech at his presentation mirrored zayn's conversation with elijah about being a muggle vs being a wizard and the things that comprise him.

the backstory told through zayn's dreams is such a nice touch, it was a natural break in the current timeflow and gave us context for zayn's actions in the each section when needed.

this was just a really, really, really well written AU, and it sucked me in and captivated me, i blitzed through the entire fic in one go. i love it, i love it, i love it. one of my favourite fics i've ever read, ever. thank you so much for writing it.

First and foremost, my sincerest apologies for taking well over a year to answer this!  I’m currently working on several pieces of work and sadly, no longer check Tumblr as much as I used to.

This message has lifted my spirits in the most sincere of ways.  Admittedly, I knew very little about HP before writing this AU; I’d only ever read the 4th book and saw all of the films.  So, to hear that I did a relatively good job with my research during the planning stages of this fic is unbelievably fulfilling.

Looking back on this story in particular elicits an immense amount of nostalgia in me.  For my writing style, for my eagerness, for the early days of not knowing that I’d one day be dedicating my life to world building.  And yet, when I try and go back to read this specific fic, I often times cringe at how horrible the grammar or sentence structure is.  That said, to know that others are still finding joy beneath all of that, years after its original publishing date is the most unexpected thing ever.

Precure spiral heart! Wow, very hype episode with some solid action from the start. Loved the final battle with Saki and Mai. Lot of stuff happened in this episode.

Kaoru and Michi! Good to see them back in action. They came in clutch against that shadow, but man them being Dark night light should’ve been so obvious lol, the name basically describes their path in life. And haven’t they been behind the girls in the bar most of the time?

Bell seems to be getting impatient, going for direct attacks against the girls now.

The Saki drama was a nice touch to the episode. As an adult you lose the freedom to be able to go off and do whatever you want when like when you’re a kid. Especially if you’re married and have a job. Luckily, Saki’s fiancé who we don’t even get a full face view of 🤦🏽‍♂️, is one of the nicest people you can imagine and actually supports his finance bettering herself and perfecting her craft. A real man. Plus her family is totally supportive of their daughter’s wishes, so the tension ended up being all for nothing lol.

So like they teased last week, clear drawbacks to turning into a precure as an adult. Looks like it’s connected to these timeflowers and the more times you do it, the more petals fall off. Surely once they’re all gone.. definitely giving off Yuyuyu vibes from this, IYKYK

In any case, Bright orders everyone to return to the ship, and he moves in to commence the Axis detonation operation.

...But something's wrong. Amuro feels something absolutely horrible. It's not malice... but it feels very dangerous. As if on cue, we hear quite possibly the worst thing you can hear over comms after your friends have boarded an unknown space vessel.

Astonaige: "Captain, what is that!?" Bright: "Wh-What in the world is that!?"

Amuro: "BRIGHT, RUN!!"

Terror fills the bridge. No one, not even Amuro, knows what just happened, but everyone felt that explosion just now. Astonaige calls in. It's an enemy, one he's never seen before...

...And it just killed Bright.

Before any arguments about the chain of command can occur, or Hathaway can process the death of his father, Astonaige too is killed.

A loud voice booms.

"This was your error. Your mistake."

Raul immediately recognizes this voice. Regardless, it continues.

"It's impossible to know of a mistake in advance. Thus, it was also impossible to have known me."

Tired of this, Raul deploys once more.

Raul: "Show yourself! I know what you did! I'll get you back for what you did to us on the Moon!"

"Raul Gureden, you and your friends' continued existences are my mistake."

"...I see, making mistakes leads to situations like this one."

"I never thought i'd end up in the Creator's position. But there's no way around it. This was my mistake."

All of this is flying over Raul's head. All he wants to know is who is the owner of this voice.

Just as Raul asked, it showed itself, much to the terror of everybody still alive. And to answer Raul's provocations...

"I must fight those who reject me..."

The frame is a mess, and the engine is leaking. If there was ever a time to put the spare Excellence to use, that time is now.

Crammed together into the cockpit, Raj and Mizuho set off to rescue Raul. This frame isn't suited for space combat, but they can't afford to be picky right now.

As they rescue Raul, Duminass readies its second strike.

The trio can't even consider themselves lucky in a grim sense for not being hit while they were wide open, as the damage to the Ra Cailum was critical; its nuclear pulse engines are going to explode.

And as if things couldn't get any worse, the first Excellence unit's Timeflow Engine is overloading. Raul can't stop the turbines, they're spinning on their own no matter what he does.

"...What is happening? I cannot comprehend..."

This probably isn't good.

The engine's output rises to over 200%. The engine itself should have no way of handling this much energy. And there's no way to stop it.

Pretty solid episode... most of the theories have been validated.

What we got right -

All experiences that Great is having of saving people and essentially everything , it is all in his head... nothing happening for real

4 minutes because heart stopping and brain stopping - dead to really really dead is 4 minutes (we are 11.02 right now.. Great is alive until 11:04)

After death experience - were right about beliefs... wherein one patient saw angels performing on her.. whereas the 4 min. thing is more about regrets and what ifs... ( interestingly, we did not hear Lukwa tell us which part of her life she revisited during her 4 min. journey)

Thing is linked to saving Tyme... This is Great grappling desparately and with all the what ifs to save Tyme... his most important moment, person, life phase...

Timelines -

Scene before intro is the real normal actual timeline (i had this theory since ep 2 and there is another person who had the same theory...don't recall user id) ... So, in the present, ep 1 - Great is in the hospital and Tyme is dying ; ep 2 - Tonkla did murder and take revenge ; ep 3 and 4 - Police is investigating the murders

All of great's experiences - whichever scene he is in is playing in his mind... timeflow is not normal pace

Don't think there are more timelines. Even Korn-Win-Tonkla thing that we are being shown is in the past/ actual past (we can see this because Great is living the past... so he has the full picture at this time)

Where the timeline falters-

3. So, lady was also in her arrest while/when Great went into arrest- ep 1... SO, when she came to visit Dan with her 4 min. experience, she had come out of her cardiac arrest moment and interacted with Dan quite a few times by then...

But great is still on the hospital bed... and yet Dan talks about Great as another patient who can see 4 min. in the future..

My guess is, Lukwa is also someone who existed in past... and great heard of her case...hence she is part of the story in his brain...

He hasn't met lukwa yet in the 4 min. room... he will... and i guess that's when timelines will start sorting themselves out..

Tonkla -

Tonkla killed his dad or was involved hence his fingerprints exist in the database. Cat was likely killed by dad. That's why Mio was so against title because title abuses girls too and is an aggressive person

Definitely using Win for the case

Did love Korn, does love Korn... but will be interesting to see how he reacts when he knows that along with Title, Great was also there when title bludgeoned his brother to death

Korn said he would tell the world that tonkla is his boyfriend...but now korn has a fiancee and uh! messed up

Great -

The place they have run to... which Great has taken them to and not tyme... again reaffirms that this is not real.. all is happening in his head...

In summary

Tonkla and Great have to overlap somewhere with respect to Tyme for the two stories to make sense. Likely Tonkla is on revenge targetting both Title and Great (he could go after tyme given Tyme is precious to Great) Or Korn-Tyme conflict linking itself to Tonkla (aka what if Korn could freely love Tonkla and never pushed into business)

Great's arc... it is like the Godfather... Great is the nice guy, detached from all shady and business stuff... but going by OST... he has to emerge as someone who is way better than Korn at handling this business and upping against every other player

The past that we see in Great's mind is also twisted... e.g. we don't know if Tyme genuinely liked Great or was using him till the very end... but Great must have turned grey (taking over business, handling korn.. etc etc.. to protect tyme)

Going back to the statement that has been made twice now about one's beliefs and religion playing a part on the deathbed.... I THINK.. it is the sheer strong will of great to save Tyme that Tyme might be saved by the end of this ordeal.. Great may or maynot be alive

Just a fair warning, these ones are all scrambled chronologically:

Natts just gets sidelined at the end. Pretty much not even mentioned in the post-battle stuff.

I kinda wanted to see Komachi take a more active community role in the town and get recognition for that. The sort of gal that'd become mayor or something in the future.

As do the OG team after the battle. No grown up Nagisa Honoka or Hikari. Nor any exploration of how they have their powers too. It was something I'd wanted to see some explaination of.

The timeflower dropping a seed just feels like a bit of a cop-out tbh. I mean, I don't mind Nozomi being alright in the end, but it just feels a bit like 'oh, the flowers weren't realy dangerous', despite having dangerous side-effects. I think they've ruined what could be a decent story device for future use.

I'm not surprised Nozomi and Coco got together in the end. The wedding shots were Completely ruined by having him in his fairy form, but it did look silly enough to be funny.

Talking about funny, the interrupting precure moment was hilarious. Toei too coward to even let them kiss in a series set for adults.

Verdict:

I wonder if we were supposed to think from the start that this is an epilogue series instead of the potential start of something new? I think that has counted against it a lot. None of us knew what to expect coming into this series, and while the plot and execution have been a bit dubious, the character development has been fairly conistent, natural, and well done. More or less. For an epilogue series. There's bits I like more than others, but overall I did like it more than I disliked it. But from this side, it feels more like a long-time fan's indulgence than a serious series of its own. One more chance to see your favorite characters. That's what they were leaning on.

Going forward, I think I'd want the same joy and hope and whimsy of regular precure being done with adults if we get another Otona precure. Just them going to jobs and the bar, instead of school and homework. But finding that same youthful hope and enthusiasm that they had when they were young. That you don't need to lose it at all.

I think I'd like that. Especially with some familiar faces.

Lotus Dreamer

Dreamed I was a victim of an ancient Lotus Eater with a multi-world territory. It kinda rolled into DMC by the end?

The Lotus Eater is a variant of dream demons, able to setting up territories within the mental realms of worlds containing thinking beings, neatly sidestepping the usual territorial disputes.

Victims are usually pulled in by the Eater, who aims for beings with high mental activity during sleep (ie humans & mid to high demons). To keep rivals & other disruptions off his back, he randomly take a few from each world without pattern. Most don't survive more than a month, though the Eater is usually 'kind' enough to let them die peacefully.

Sio is one of the Eater's many victims, though they're somewhat resistant to his influence due to their (unreliable) ability for lucid dreaming. That resistance (& their trait of fading into the background) allow them to survive for far longer in the dream realm than is otherwise possible, until what felt like centuries have pass.

Either through a miscalculation or plain bad luck, during the Eater's hunt in the DMC world, Dante ends up in the Lotus Dream.

Shenanigans later, an amused Sio, a confused Eater, & an also confused Dante is sitting around a table, drinking tea. Sio has a new tea cart now! Its full of secrets~ (running joke from a discord server)

Once Dante vanquished the Eater, all the surviving Dreamers (as named by the gov) are dumped into the DMC world, about 2000 of em. Most of them unable to go home due to either:

They've been declared dead years ago (or their local alt was)

Their local alt is alive & doesn't want them around

They plain don't exist, due to different timelines

They don't exist due to being from utterly different worlds (fandoms)
