Hide sighed contentedly and closed his eyes as he sunk further into the warm water of the hotspring. His skin tingled throughout his body as the healing properties of the water worked their magic. Kaneki sighed beside him a few feet away, crossing his arms over the edge of the hot spring and laying his head on them. As relaxed as they were, it killed them both to be away from each other, even at this distance. But this was a public bathhouse, and Kaneki knew there would be sneers of disgust if they touched too much or lingered next to each other for too long. Kaneki hated that. Hated that he had to keep his love quiet and in control in this small town. He wished he wasn't so complicit with this unspoken rule society had forced upon them both. "I can hear you brooding over there, ya know." Hide called out with a chuckle. Kaneki could practically hear the smile in his beloved's voice. Hide opened his eyes and turned his head to face Kaneki, noticing that Kaneki was already staring at him. They kept soft eye contact for a few minutes, feeling that insistent urge to draw near one another again. To come closer and stroke each others' cheek, to lay their heads on their shoulders. Hide had always been a touchy person, not that Kaneki had ever minded. But since the start of their relationship, they had let years of want melt away their inhibitions. They were never seen with their hands off of each other among friends. They were a tangle of limbs at night before going to sleep, and in the morning when they were just waking up. Hide felt that itch in the pit of his stomach to pepper Kaneki in kisses for the fifth time that day. All, unfortunately, during the day. In public. With people staring and probably judging them and carrying cameras around their necks. "I wanna touch you." Kaneki murmured.   Hide frowned and mentally restrained himself from tackling Kaneki into a hug. "I wanna touch you, too, baby." Hide replied, shifting a little to better face Kaneki. Hide was already feeling himself give in to Kaneki's plea. Before Hide could even think about crawling over to his lover, a family of three brothers and a father made their way into the open. Hide smiled apologetically and sunk further away from Kaneki. Kaneki could see how much it hurt Hide to be denied another chance for intimacy with his boyfriend. They both stayed silent and stole careful, occasional glances at one another for as long as they could before they decided to leave for their room twenty minutes later. At least they'd finally be alone there. When Kaneki was sure the coast was clear of any prying eyes in the changing rooms, he pinned Hide to a locker and ground their hips together. Hide choked on a moan and felt his knees wobble. He hadn't realized he'd been this wond up until now. Hide also hadn't realized Kaneki had meant *this* when he'd mentioned wanting to touch Hide earlier. Hide snuck a hard, wet kiss before quickly pulling away and loosening his robes to hide his growing erection. Kaneki licked his lips, not helping Hide stay level-headed, and ushered them away to their room. Before going inside, Hide flipped the sign on their door to DO NOT DISTURB. No longer being patient, Kaneki let his lust consume him as he practically dragged Hide onto the ground. Hide managed to let out a laugh as Kaneki set about wrapping Hide's legs around his waist. Kaneki was normally a shy boy, but when he got in the mood, he turned primal (much to Hide's delight). Groaning as he felt both their erections rub against each other, Kaneki felt his teeth click against Hide's as they roughly kissed one another again. Hide pulled away shortly, panting, and cupped Kaneki's cheek with a smile. "No more getting away... to the countryside for our t... time off, huh?" "No." Kaneki uttered, his voice husky as he stared longingly into Hide's warm, caramel eyes. "Good. Cause I can't... s-stand being away from you for... this long." Hide whispered, pulling Kaneki down hurriedly.

Kaneki stroked Hide’s face, which was still flush and sweaty from their previous excitement, and couldn’t help but lean forward to lock their lips together once more. When he withdrew he chuckled at the mock betrayal the other wore at breaking the kiss so early, “I can’t believe you would hold back now.” 

Kaneki tucked a blond lock out of the way so he could kiss his forehead and got up off the bed. “We need to clean up before this stuff dries.” Hide nodded at the reasoning and let the other go and fetch a wet towel, “so how did you like it?” 

Hide tried to keep his voice lighthearted at the question but was curious about how it was for the other. The question took a moment to sink in for Kaneki but when it did his face grew red, “it- it was good.” As he was cleaning himself up he realized that he could’ve used a better adjective to describe one of the best experiences he had ever gone through. 

At how silent it became he tried again, “I mean, it was really amazing. You were really amazing.” When he came back into the room he saw his boyfriend looking at him with a look that made his heart pound faster. “Just amazing, huh?” 

His tone sent excited shivers down the ghoul’s spine and he tried to keep the others gaze, “you were perfect.” This caused Hide to blink in surprise and let out a short laugh, “I didn’t really do a whole lot but I’ll take it.” 

Kaneki was going to argue, but saw some of the light marks covering the other and when he followed them saw what he knew to be a bite mark. His blood ran cold at the sight and he took an instinctual step back, “did I do that?” 

Hide didn’t like how fast this was turning dark, “Kaneki it’s ok, they're just hickeys. None of them hurt, in fact it was surprisingly hot.” Sadly, his plan of redirecting the conversation didn’t hold and Kaneki shook his head, “Hide I bit you, hard. I could’ve hurt you.” 

A thought seemed to occur to him and Hide knew immediately what it had been about. Ignoring the dull ache from his backside he stood and went to the other, “you didn’t hurt me, not even a little. You were gentle, slow and made sure that I was doing ok.” 

This did seem to calm the other down but his gaze was still fixated on the bite mark, it didn’t look to bad and luckily he hadn’t broken skin. Seeing that the crisis had been averted Hide grabbed the towel from the other and started to clean himself off, however he was interrupted by a knock on the door. 

Finishing quickly he threw on some clothes, which he belatedly realized were Kaneki’s, and went to the door. After making sure that Kaneki was out of sight he looked through the peephole and opened the door, “if this is a noise complaint, I swear I can explain.” 

When he saw that the two men were not only dressed in suits but were carrying briefcases, he knew what this was about. “If you would please step out and close the door, sir.” Not wanting to cause a scene he did as he was told and shut the door behind him, “how may I help you two?” 

He tried to keep his voice calm, he knew that one wrong move could change everything but when he saw how the two exchanged a look, he knew it would change anyway. “We have reason to believe that your, companion, is a ghoul. A rather dangerous one at that.” 

Hide had known this would eventually happen but still wished it could have been on a different day, “that’s impossible. I think I would notice if my boyfriend was a ghoul.” He knew that Kaneki was on the other side of the door listening, and hoped he would get the message and run away. 

One of the investigators seemed to notice his barely covered mark and gripped the briefcase silently, “sir how did you get that?” Hide scratched at it lightly, “sex, I like it rough.” They didn’t seem to buy it and one of them grabbed his arm, “don’t worry, we’re her to help you. We can keep you safe, so please stay calm.” 

When Hide didn’t move the investigator gripped the arm tightly and not so gently dragged the other away from the door, and Hide hissed slightly at the sudden pain. Not a moment later the door was ripped open and Kaneki came out, Kagune ready to strike. 

<p>“Don’t you dare touch him!” The man closest to him barely had time to blink before he was ripped in half and Hide’s arm was dropped. “Run!” When the man didn’t hear the sound of feet running and looked back to find the blonde, not frozen in fear but instead seemed to be waiting. </p>

Realization over what had just happened came to late and the man felt as his stomach was torn open. Falling to the ground he watched as the ghoul went over to the human and held him tight, “are you alright?” 

The blonde chuckled and nodded, “yeah, got to say I was pretty surprised when you broke the door down with your guns blazing.” The ghoul seemed to think about something before finally speaking, “Hide I think you should-“

“I think I should move in with you.” 

Kaneki shook his head, “no you can’t give up your whole life just to go into hiding with me.” “I’m not giving up on my life, I’m just taking it in a direction it wasn’t going in before. I’m sorry to this, but you’re stuck with me. I’m always going to want to do everything I can to help you, because I love you.” 

Kaneki smiled at the sincere response and after a moment nodded, “I won’t let anyone hurt you. I love you too.” The now dying man watched as the two walked away, hands interlaced together, and cursed his stupidity for not waiting for backup.

Yup! But I’ll be putting them under the cut. Warning this is obviously smut

Hide is Kaneki’s first, and though Hide has slept with a handful of women, Ken was the first guy

Hide figured out that Kakuhou are extremely sensitive and teases him by brushing his hand over Ken’s. It’s a surefire way to get him going, and digging his fingers into it always sends him shivering

Kaneki is very loud, he can’t help making noise when he’s feeling good so they either do it at Hide’s place or a hotel

Hide is quite well endowed and through trial and error, they learned that ghouls are just as fragile as humans on the inside. Hide now has the self-given nickname “quinque dick” and as funny as it is, he’s very careful in the future to thoroughly prep his boyfriend

They switch, but Ken bottoms more often. Having that rinkaku regenerative ability doesn’t hurt when he needs to walk afterwards

Hide’s neck is very sensitive, so Ken will kiss or lick it from behind when he wants to turn him on

It’s hard for Kaneki to contain his kagune, especially with how much his boyfriend presses and rubs his kakuhou. They usually come out, sometimes wrapping around Hide, other times simply splaying out around them

When Kaneki goes into heat Hide will fuck him through it. They were warned that ghouls in heat will bite down hard on instinct, so hide got him a muzzle so it will be safe. It turns out they’re both surprisingly into it, and use the muzzle outside of heats too

They’re usually slow and sweet, Ken isn’t into feeling used and Hide wouldn’t be able to be mean if he tried, they’re only occasionally rough, most often when Kaneki is in heat or if they’re drunk

I don't ship any pairings in TG but regardless of that I really love how hk fandom always focuses on love and Kaneki and Hide being supportive of one another. While all I see from tk fandom is smut smut smut and more smut. When you mention this to tk fandom, they get defensive and claim that it's bad to imply a woman that enjoys sex is a slut but then they turn around and call Touka 'whore' or 'Kaneki's side bitch'. That's why I will prefer hk fandom over tk fandom.

That’s just how it is, anon. To be honest, though, it’s kind of hard to glorify anything else about tou/ken when literally all they have is sexual attraction and a desperate need for comfort in each other’s bodies. So, I can’t blame them for being obsessed with the porn.

The hidekane fandom will sit over here, enjoy our canon soft af panels of them meaning everything to each other, being so lonely without each other and literally giving up their lives for each other.

I almost feel sorry for touka stans and tou/ken shippers. They must have really low standards and I truly hope they aren’t involved with that kind of relationship irl. We can only hope they improve…
