so my cousins from canada came over last week, which totally derailed my work schedule. i’m currently getting back into the flow of things, and finishing my ap bio assignment and college apps. i’m trying to finish as much as i can by the first week of august so i can really focus on studying for sats, so fingers crossed. anywaysss, my birthday’s in a month and i’m going to be in toronto which is literally my favorite place ever so there’s a good thing :)

hey guys! this is @thehardworkingravenclaw (or adora, if you ever talked to me personally before). Due to various reasons, the recent times haven’t been the best for me. In one of my less-happy episodes, I deleted my studyblr, something I had worked on since July 2017 to build.

I believe it would be best for me not to redo this site, and just leave it as it is for a while. To the beautiful humans who once talked to me @highlightcrs ,@gloomstudy (plus a few other great people), I will always welcome messages from you guys, and take lots of joy in chatting with you all.

Once upon a time, this site brought out the best in me. It gave me boundless joy and motivation to study harder. But that is no longer the case now. Thank you to all of you who have so kindly decided to follow me, reblog my posts, and like them. I love and appreciate all of you. 

Maybe I will recreate the baby I took so many months to cultivate, and maybe it will be even more successful than it ever was. Or maybe I will create a new treasure, something that represents a brighter future for me. I don’t know. But this is a post to thank you for your support, and to tell you that I will not be coming back to the studyblr community for now. I hope all of you have a great study journey, and that you will all lead fulfilling lives.

170902 19:19. it’s been a while since i was as productive like this, lol. since i’m out of school for the time being... i’m not going bc of my financial situation basically i’m “”suspended”” bc of unpaid tuition. that’s the hard truth laid out there, folks! i sent out an appeal to reinstate my school’s scholarship program but i’m not betting on it. i just hope my situation will be resolved asap.

this was from this afternoon -- i’m doing maths rn. (i’m taking a break ok don’t judge my studyblring) the artwork above is hokyoung kim’s sirens, which i’m analyzing/doing a rendition of for visual arts. there are also my psychology notes. thank god for my teachers & my friends, who are super understanding of my situation.

not many people in the studyblr community talk about their financial problems. it’s a combination of most the accounts that are well-known being well-off financially, with being able to buy all that stationery & stuff to keep up that aesthetic™, so all that discussion is buried; or because it’s just simply embarrassing -- baring yourself like that, in the midst of all the overpriced mildliners and muji pens. i get that. i feel myself shriveling as i just casually talk about it in this post. but that’s our reality. if you’re in a situation similar like mine, i hope the world will be softer and kinder for you. it’s not easy to pretend like everything’s okay.

finally got started with my summer assignments, and i’m so shook about the english assignment. apparently we have to annotate articles online, and it sucks because i’d honestly prefer to print out and annotate on the sheet. it’s easier though, which gives me time to really prep for the august sat and for ap bio, and of course, the dreaded college apps. 

i also went to princeton the other day, and literally nothing is as beautiful as the world at golden hour.
